I’m actually in such turmoil over D’s lost (presumably stolen) letter it has me crawling up the walls. I can only imagine how D feels as the one who actually wrote it and tucked it against their body for safekeeping. And I’m still not over how their life was threatened and their first thought was /still/ the letter. CH 10 just does things to me it was so good and the follow up in CH 11 somehow made it even better. My humble thanks for you writing this masterpiece

Honestly, part of it is like... you know how most people have at least 1 absolutely delusional thing that they genuinely believe?

For D, it's that they kinda think they're unkillable.

Like, rationally speaking, of course they know they can be killed if someone really puts in the effort (like with using magic items acquired from the black market that targets their weaknesses specifically), but they still have a subconscious thing where they don't genuinely think they'll die in such situations.

Most people go through a near death experience and appreciate life. D went through a near death experience 10 years ago and now internalized the fact that nothing will ever compare to the agony they felt then, so they're convinced they can handle whatever else their enemies throw at them.

So, of course, they prioritize the next most important thing--the Crown's letter. In the high romance route at least ✨

How did the gold make up not smudge onto X's face during the kiss 💀💀💀 kinda funny to imagine any of the love interests roaming around looking like a bee covered in pollen

Well, most of the face paint is focused around the Crown's eyes, so I think it would be fine!! Even if you imagine some of it was around your Crown's nose/mouth/chin/cheeks, it's attached pretty well, so a little smudging shouldn't hurt. Think a superstay, 24 hour lipstick or something like that haha

Otherwise if your Crown has, for example, some of it painted over their lips and it's easy to get off, X would've gotten a mouthful of gold dusted paint. I don't think it would taste very good 💀
