The seconds, minutes, hours ticked on. He’d be found missing soon enough, and when he was, they’d jump in here without a moment's hesitation. So now, all it was, was the waiting game. The long, boring, frustrating waiting game. He had not bothered to tend to wounds on form, not yet, it played the story better. Instead he just sat there, and waited.

However, waiting around in a body that was bloody and bruised gave out a distinctive scent, and such a thing, perhaps, was not the best idea. He knew he was not alone, but he knew not the identity nor intentions of the other presence here.
