Creating the perfect palette is what begins the first steps to making the even more perfect space. ✨ Do you spy the blush hue coming through the rug? Do you see how the leather instantly warms you up? What about how the neutral colors are complimented ever so slightly by the soft blue in the arched cabinet? You know when you see a picture of food and you can almost taste it? This is the cozy furniture version of that. ✨ This chair, friends. It’s just too good. On a Tuesday at 3pm, I’m dreaming of sinking into a chair just like this with a good book and a glass of wine (or two.) ✨ This was one of those “must have” pieces for my client. Buying a home that was geared towards a modern aesthetic, they wanted to bring in the textiles and pieces that oozed the stay-at-home feel. ✨ To say I’m obsessed is an understatement. One of my favorite ways to get inspiration for design is to travel. Whether it’s too different countries or different states, every inch of the world has it’s own stamp on the interiors culture. ✨ I was supposed to do a bit of traveling this year - both solo and group - all of which has been sidelined for the moment. My favorite thing to do when I’m traveling is to grab coffee in the morning and explore the scene around me. The different architecture, design styles or even find new ways for the things I already own. ...that’s it. Something I’ve found over time is that my job is to guide less than it is to force. It’s my job to design and execute while taking into consideration what my client really loves. ✨ Whether it’s your favorite comfy chair, picking a “safe” option for wallpaper when your designer wants to go bold or choosing to blend your staple Ikea console with your custom sofa - all that matters is that YOU love it. ✨ For a home to be livable, it has to be functional and practical just as much as it needs to be ‘gramworthy.
