I found you right before I left home and moved out on my own to a big city. You’ve been there all through my 20s and have survived through every hyperfixation. There’s always been a connection with you through 17 (my bday) and butterflies that has made me feel closer to you. I saw you at the Buckhead theater in 2015 for the first time with my best friend and have never felt so excited to see an artist before. I will always feel a pull towards you and the comfort your art brings. I just turned 30 in July and it’s always felt like I’ve had a friend by my side. I’ve seen you in concert more times than any other artist and though I don’t enjoy concerts as much anymore (loud and crowd and whatnot) I will always come see you. 10 years is a long time to love someone as deeply as I’ve loved you but I will be here till the end. I hope you’re happy always.
