Moments Later...
[It takes a few moments, but eventually a being surfaces. Her voice rings out with amusement, eyeing Xoloet from the water.]
Besides, I was in here first. You came into this cave for a reason. No doubt to try and figure out the...little snake problem on everyone's hands.

32, 36, 39 for Luxu (or anyone else you feel this can pertain to)
If the could change one thing, what would it be?
Luxu- Luxu hasn’t had anything happen to him that he’d consider changing (or at least not that he knows of) but being the selfless lil thing he is, he’d probably change the circumstances of the island just to see his dad and “Titi” (one of few titles he gives Nat) happy.
Oscar- Oscar would change his relationship with his brothers real quick. The two of them hold no ill will against their older brother but Oscar has a lot of internal regret for how he raised them despite not really having control on those circumstances. His awkwardness in approaching them just makes the whole air awkward, so he pretty much self-sabotages his chances of trying to settle things for himself.
Nat- God there is a LOT she would change if she could, but so many things are so fucking tangled up for her that changing one thing would mean altering her life severely and probably for the worst/less satisfactory than where it is now. She just kinda takes things as she can and copes (albeit horribly) with it. If she could change things no repercussion she’d throw her father out of the picture of her early life, considering he’s been the source of MANY issues for her.
Xoloet- Xoloet too would probably change the island’s current status, mostly because he misses being feared and respected by a large population and now is just seen as a pest by a handful of stinky humans and their partners.
Do they believe in destiny?
Luxu- He’s still pretty young to try and grasp such a thing/worry about it, but if put in terms that he can understand he’d believe in moldable destiny-that you can choose your own path and see it through rather than be told that things are the way they are.
Oscar- Oscar’s been around for a very long time, but I think his view on destiny is what gets channeled into Luxu’s eventual mindset: you mold the future and your life despite the cards you’ve been dealt.
Nat- Nat believes in destiny for certain things, like relationships (romantic or other) and has a bit of a deeper understanding of destiny in the form of viewing it in the grand cosmic design and sort of contradictory (she’s a big nihilist-existentialist at times) of which can get summed up as “the universe is fucking chaotic and it was meant to be that way, so we can do what we feel’s right while we’re here”, which is very much something she’d say gfdjghd
Xoloet- He doesn’t believe in destiny, things happen because you let them happen or because someone else let it happen and you have to clean up their mess. There’s no such thing as callings for him, you either go and do something because you have the intrinsic drive or you simply don’t.
How do they react to criticism?
Luxu- Since he’s a kid and doesn’t have TOO much to be criticized about, he’d take anything with a grain of salt/wouldn’t be bothered. He just assumes that those who are criticizing him are just trying to help him get better at whatever it is he’s doing, and he’s sure to make em proud on that regard.
Oscar- He’s got his age to thank, but he takes it well. He’s very open minded (or tries his best to be) and takes different viewpoints without getting too worked up. Say it in a nasty way though and you’ll definitely hear back from him because he won’t take disrespect of any sort.
Nat- Nat can take critisism decently, depending on what it is, how it’s presented, and her emotional state. If she’s in a rather piss-poor mood her mind will warp things to view them as insults and absolute truths ex. getting told there’s a flaw in her battle strategy and her mind going “You’re a shitty battler how did you become a champion in the first place”. She does her best to be open about it and generally is, but it all really depends on how it’s presented.
Xoloet- Xoloet? He gives no shits whatsoever lmao. He doesn’t care if you have something to say about him because it won’t get under his skin, and if it does he’ll just kill you so he doesn’t have to hear it-

(@pokege-ne-project ; Wesn) With everything, he struggled to think of something that would be helpful, but he finally had something to suggest.. Maybe.
Approaching Xoloet, he sheepishly waved before speaking. "Er, hi! Sorry for barging in. With who's causing all this.. Maybe there's something around, like writings for what happened last time. And those can be used to figure out some of what to do!.. Though what would be a good place for something like that?"
The most they made were symbols, but there was no record keeping. Everything was expressed through song and dance, spoken word and such.
I have a resource in the interior of the island, but...it's not safe for me to go there anymore.

You mention The Great Hurricane a lot. How and why did it happen exactly? If you are willing to tell us...
I was already a spirit at the time, but we could witness it from the other side. It was...I have no words, truly.
That Lugia was the biggest thing I had ever seen, the waves could touch the clouds if they wanted. I was under the leadership of an Unovan human, and so... I carried out some dirty work. Following orders. Because of that, I was one of the casualties. I guess I was lucky that I couldn't feel it, I couldn't imagine surviving to see the wreck the island became.
That was... almost 800 years ago? I know Oscar was the last of the generation that lived here. It was still unsafe for me to return to the planet, with Ezzohcoatl making his rounds. Though by that point, he would've been sealed away.
I couldn't even make out Alola, or any region on that side of the hemisphere. It was all just obscured by dense cloud cover. And it was like that for a least a few months. I haven't seen a storm like it since.
The Ciquex did everything they could, not even the patron legends could undo the damage the land had received. The only option was to evacuate the population and then wipe the island off the map. Most left, but the Ciquex chose to stay behind to see things through. It was... noble.
They tried to take what was rightfully ours, and they paid the price.

[Cries of fear take over the island all at once, a horrible cacophony that could be heard beyond the shores-of which have stopped glowing.]
[Darkness manifests, trailing across the land and sea as if taking hold on everything below the night sky. The stars offer no solace.]

In doing so, they strengthened Ezzohcoatl’s ties to the physical world. What happened was as if a nightmare manifested, but as we all saw-everything was very real for the duration of time that it lasted.

[Almost immediately after, a strong gust overtook the clearing. Strong enough to knock flowers off the flamboyan that stood in the middle of the hill.]
Xoloet: You should know by now that the island is always speaking. You’re just not listening.
[A few moments passed by, the two cousins starting their trek down the hill and towards the coastline to get a headstart in preparations for the coming days. Oscar lingered behind, watching them with a preoccupied expression before turning his head to the hound that still remained on the hill.]

It’s still some time away, I know that for sure. What happened gave him some energy that was unaccounted for, but it was still nothing close to cataclysmal.
[The hound continues to pace, unsure of how to say what he needs to-which was a rare occurrence.]
But...it is still something to consider. The longer you stay, the higher a chance of him puppeteering you around.
For your safety and that of the island...it should be something to think about.
I’m...sorry.

Nat’ told us we’re to be on peaceful terms, as long as he doesn’t instigate anything.
[While the two continued with their back and forth, Xoloet turned his gaze towards the sky.]
[The strange light in the sky opened into an Ultra Wormhole.]

(neverlandfaerai) Agatha@Xoloet:
That was quite the fight back there. You have no obligation to share, but, that was an Aura Sphere you used on that Xurkitree yes? Perhaps I've mistaken it for another move- I've never seen a green one before.
[The hound pauses, looking down at the Darkrai nearby. There's a long silence, as if contemplating what to say next. Maybe he senses the years this one has, or is simply placated from feasting on the dream energy from the beasts from a few days ago.]
My Aura Sphere is green, yes. It always has been.
If you were to learn it on Tano, it would correspond with the family you come from.
