[The rifts slowly begin to fade out of existence, like candles flickering to their ends as the corridor grows darker and darker. Meanwhile the pair begin to make their exit, eyeing the few remaining rifts as they close up.]

It was fascinating while it lasted.

[As the last of the rifts ebb away, a small wish is cast into the remaining distortions.]

(@ask-pokecats) Bella approaches the strange person with Haxorus with her being curious.

"Meow... It's nice to se miau (you). I'm Bella, what 'bout mya (ya)?"

[Before Bella could get any closer and before the human could even form a response, the large Haxorus steps forward and stares her down.]

I know we're not accustomed to guests, but I would appreciate it if you would hold on for a moment.

(@ask-the-fogbound-serpent) "Hello hello! That sure was a strong swipe!" Janus chirped, floating around curiously, inspecting the two strangers, "Man, is that space energy I sense? That's pretty impressive! Maybe I should ask you to come teach the kiddos how to use it, they certainly need a tutor, haha! Well, if the boss doesn't launch you out of the woods immediately that is."

"Anyway, what are ya doing slicing through space? And where is 'here' anyway?"

[The pair's attention was immediately caught-for Alruba, the idea that there was at least a Palkia out in the world in their infancy was alluring. It wasn't often that deities were young in this day and age.]

[She quickly regained composure, eyeing Janus before they spoke up again.]

I've put many years into research on the subject of dimensions. As of now, I believe I'm on the cusp of understanding in regards to timelines... at the same time, I'm tackling my research on lineages with dragons.

I've worked on a project for many years, tracking bloodlines and finding common ancestry among the current species of dragons and those of the ancient past. All dragons descended from the ones that fell from stars, labeled here.

[She points behind Janus to the tapestry.]

Those colored dots? Those were stars that fell to this world, giving way to the dragons that we know now. I've been in pursuit of understanding these stars since I was a child.

Did you know there was a time where Thuban was the north star? Many years ago, yet not too far behind human history. Through a process called precession, it eventually gave way to the current pole star-Polaris. Some 20,000 years into the future, Thuban will be the pole star again.

[They catch themselves rambling, waving a hand dismissively.]

I'm sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself! You didn't come through that rift for a lecture.

I'm afraid I can't tell you where this is-my research is very, very valuable. If I gave away my location, who knows the motives of those who come here.

I cannot afford to lose the information that I have, not again.

(Creation-quintet) Arcadia approaches the two in his mega gengar form. He was rather... concerned. "Alola erhh-" He gulped nervously. "You... you just teared space, why come? I assume you must've an urgent reason to do so"

[Lamassu stares down Arcadia with ferocity-she can sense something off about the Gengar.]

There was no urgency in opening this tear, rest assured. This was part of a routine test that I've been running with Lamassu. Truth be told, I'm thrilled that this rift opened!

However... there is a sense of urgency outside of that. I'm afraid this opening won't last for a long time, which is unfortunate. But the fact that it occurred is more than enough for me to continue with my research. If it can happen once, it can happen again.

[There's a sudden tear in the fabric of space, a portion of reality broken off. Inside the torn space seems to be another place. From the looks of it, the tear is functioning as a small portal in a way. In the darkness form two figures, the light from the tear just barely illuminating them.]

[The human leans towards the tear, squinting slightly as they try to look into the space.]

...hello? Is anyone there on the other side?
