Short tempered and shorter in stature, the big boned bounty hunter would much rather spend her time being digested by a sarlacc than socialize with more than one person at a time. She prefers the country to the city, but still finds herself weaving through Nar Shaddaa to buy equipment for her one of two passions in life: hunting.

Cooking, on the other hand, is something she prefers to keep to herself.

When it comes to the never ending fight between the Empire and the Republic, she'd choose neither side- though it seems like the Republic is less likely to invade her privacy. And with the Empire, there's the problem of the Sith, which she actively avoids. One too many bad experiences with being employed under a Sith taught her to avoid them at all costs. Especially one named Xyrus Asha.

Her past is for the most part, boring - or so she'll claim. It'd depend if a spice-addicted mother and a non-existent father is considered boring or not. Either way, she abhors the scent of spice, any spice. At this point, it's nearly become a phobia, one where she's scared she'll turn out like her ma- dead in a ditch and rotting from overdose. That, and a blaster hole through her head. Spice is a temptation, one that she tries to avoid. But it follows her almost everywhere, even to the hot sands of Tatooine, and it tempts her again in one of the few people she comes to trust- a Chiss named Skaeln.

Y'know, i feel like the few of cyborgs i have, got really bad cybernetics. Athenyia had to go to some back alley "doctor" on Nar Shadaa to get an emergency replacement for her entire jaw, plus part of her brow. She never got proper ones afterwards, mostly because the lackof funds to do so. (She refuses to touch the money that Jarrok sent her, and even plans on returning it when she gets the chance.) Xyraan was blinded in her original right eye, but couldn't find a cybernetic replacement she liked. (Everything was too obviously a cybernetic enhancement, with metal parts not even bothering to be discrete.) So her cybernetic eye is a prototype that is supposed to look very natural. Unfortunately, it trades aesthetic appeal over hardiness, and often either breaks down, or needs to be fixed. (Just like italian sports cars! :D ) Like, I feel like only Nikolai is the exception. His cybernetics are enhancements, not replacements, and are designed to help him think faster, as well as keep him on the holonet at all times.

👃 : Does your OC smell good? Do they have a signature scent?

I imagine he smells like warm spices, mushrooms, and this very specific smell I associate with oil in a hot wok. (I'm not sure if it's the smell of the breath of the wok, or the hot oil, or both...)

He has a homey smell, if you've lived in a chinese kitchen half your life. It's the smell of a family waiting for you to join them at the table. It's comforting, inviting.

🚲 : Does your OC enjoy playing the field? Or are they more monogamy-minded?

While he certainly doesn't mind polygamy, he simply chooses to be devoted to whoever his partner(s) are at the time. When he dates, he will want to date a person(s) with the intent that he's looking for long term relationships and long term relationships only. If his partner(s) want to open up a relationship, he doesn't mind, though it's likely he will not pursue anyone else at that time.

🦴 : Does your OC have much sexual experience? What are they like?

Sorta as a result of the above, while he has experience he doesn't... have a diverse portfolio, shall we say. lol. But what he does know, he's good at. And while he may start of pretty vanilla, he's more than happy to try other things -- just take it slowly.

HAH no. If you told her she was pretty she'd look at you like you asked what the spanish word for quesadilla was: Like you're a fucking idiot. She's got scars for days and cybernetics covering half her face, what the hell is attractive about that???

That said, she still does like colorful makeup, but mostly cuz she just likes the colors rather than anything else.

😍 : What does your OC find irresistible in others?

Cheekbones and well defined muscles. She likes watching how muscles flex and move under the skin, she likes studying them. How the light bounces off the skin, how tendons stretch and muscles relax… (Kind of like how she'll watch prey animals and find them fun to watch when she's on a hunting trip...)

👙 : What kind of underwear do they use? Is it pretty or functional?

It is unbearably practical. Part of it is that it's hard to find pretty underwear for fat bodies and part of it is that she doesn't know how to care for pretty lacy things. While she can be careful, she's not a gentle person, and would hate to rip something beautiful.

That said, I think that if she'd ever admit it, she'd like a nice set of basic lacy lingerie... but only if she didn't have to be the one to worry about making sure it stays lingerie and not turn into a pile of shredded fabric.

Being better than him at something he likes. Like dancing. It's how Junba wooed him in the first place lol. That said, he can be pretty competitive so Eko would learn how to become a better dancer out of spite... There's a lot of 'anything you can do, I can do better' in Junba and Eko's relationship and the amount of competition between them has honestly just become part of their courtship rituals lmao.

I mean frankly, Eko just has to show interest in someone to woo them. Assuming that person is into short pretty boy twinks that is. He can be as picky as he wants when dating someone, pretty much.

Dromund Fucking Kaas. Fuck this damn planet. It rained all the time, there was lightning storms five days out of the week, and worst of all it was too fucking populated for her tastes. People as a concept could kiss her ass. But unfortunately, one of the few people she actually liked was often found on this absolute shit hole of a planet.

She really rather would get eaten by a krayt dragon. It'd be just as wet and messy as sloshing through the fucking mud on this mud ball of a mud planet and--

Athenyia cursed quietly. She forgot the lightning would occasionally fuck with her cybernetics too. If you had working shit, new shit, like the stuff that citizens would get in Kaas City, then it wasn't an issue.

Unfortunately she was stuck with cybernetics that were cobbled together by Jawas. (The cybernetics themselves weren't bad. Durable, sturdy, did what she needed them to do... just not very good with humidity. Jawas didn't really have a concept of humidity.)

Eventually she found a relatively flat rock with a large overhang and no creatures hiding underneath it. Fucking finally. The hunter set down a little beacon that blinked a pretty red light, and she got to work.

The screen of the chiss' datapad lit up momentarily, and he glanced over while Keeper continued speaking about something unimportant. A notification that had coordinates, a time, and the letter 'A.' Nothing else. Skaeln looked towards the time piece hanging on the wall. It was half an hour from the time on the notification, so he quietly excused himself, picked up his things, and left.

At the coordinates, Skaeln found a large picnic blanket, plates of food, and a cranky dark skinned human who looked both nervous and excited he'd finally arrived.

"You hate coming to Dromund Kaas," Skaeln said as he found a seat besides Athenyia. She shrugged and handed him a canteen of something that may or may not have been alcoholic.

"You don't eat enough and I figured you weren't doing anything special today," she retorted, picking up her own canteen. "So happy birthday, Skaeln. Cheers."

what do your ocs names mean? they sound nice

omg ty! ;0; some of them, their names are pretty much just a little bit of keysmashing until it looks right (enough vowels, easy to say, stuff like that) but as far as the ones that have meaning or taken from in-universe languages, lemme think... 

Coshbyss: Taken from two words in this fan zabraki dictionary - specifically, the names section. “Cosh” means “pride,” as in “pride of the family,” and “byss” is a variation of “Bez,” referring to someone who “protects her young.” Since I wanted to go with the idea of protection, I tried to find an alternate spelling of Bez, which is apparently a feminine name only? (but gender binaries are wonky anyway so who cares lmao) But yeah tried to find an alternate spelling that sounded less harsh than “Bez” - since the Z made it a very harsh sounding name.

Rakeshi’s daughters, Mirho Kutaau, and Phida, are all names derived from Greek numerology and/or the Greek alphabet! (Rakheshi, however, was a keysmash name. Same with his surname Keiroda.)

Chaf’aul’iflar aka Fauli was difficult because holy shit, chiss names y’all. I did want something where the core name sounded very... cute? sweet? so finding the house names and core names etc that’d actually fit the bill took.... weeks, i think. lmao.

عارف aka Arif: It’s an Arabic name that refers to someone who’s an expert in their field, or something similar to that. He’s an intelligence agent, so his name ties into that!

Athenyia: Derived from goddess Athena! 

Howlite: I just. Really wanted an OC that had a type of precious/semi-precious stone as a name. It was a little easier to find Chiss names this time, which was nice! 

Davi Mingxin: First name is literally just “David” with the last D taken off. Mingxin is derived from 明星, which pretty much means “celebrity” though the individual characters mean “bright” and “star” individually.

Wanwo: variation of the romanization of 望和. afaik, individually, the first character means either “to expect, to hope for” etc., or refers to the full moon. Second should mean something like “peace” I think?

Ying Zii: very loose interpretation (and definitely wrong lol) of the romanization of 明淨, “luminous.”

Kara Wren: A Mandalorian derived name. Kara refers both to the stars and to a ruling council composed of former leaders to Mandalorians. (I guess I have a lot of star/space based names lmao) and Wren is a surname taken from Sabine Wren from star wars rebels, aka my daughter and Mandalore of my heart.

Ming Long: she’s from the movie era, I think her name is pretty much 明龍 (simplified; 明龙) and second character means dragon. (shiny dragon? star dragon? something like that? :’D ) and her Knight of Ren name is Heung - 香. It’s the first part of the characters that make up the name Hong Kong, which means “fragrant harbor.” Which means her knight name would be Heung Ren, which could be translated to 香人. I kinda wanted to have a pun/ridiculous-ish name for her title, so there you go. :’)

7. most likely to be two hours late to their own eventI feel like, when Azukni and Leika’le first adopted her kids, she and her family would have definitely been late to a lot of things until either/both moms got the hang of it. But Athenyia, who’s much more likely to skip out on an event entirely, would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to her own birthday party or something. She just hates formal events and the like, or even informal events. If she has to put it on a calendar, she’d rather not do it. Just leave her alone in her obscure little hut like home and let her go take down rancors on her own or something.

Meanest VS Kindest

Meanest: Out of the living ones, Nalakii or Ming Long. Nalakii is intentionally mean for legitimate reasons, but Ming Long (one of maybe... two? movie era OCs I have?) is mean for stupid reasons or out of ignorance. If you include the dead one, then Xyrus is like. literally the most evil OC I have. Luckily he’s dead. (I don’t actually think I’ll talk about him for the rest of this meme just cuz like. He’s the Worst TM)

Kindest: Azukni. Undoubtedly, Azukni. She’s the mom friend and she is the best mom friend. She will research to the ends of the earth to make sure you get your vitamins, your sleep, your meds, and considering she’s like, a certified metal health therapist? She can make sure your mental health is good too. She also will cook for you (even if she isn’t the best) if you’re sick.

Tallest VS Shortest

Tallest: At one point, this might have been a tie between Coshbyss (6′3″) and Xyraan (6′1″), the latter who is almost always wearing heels that are at least 4″ tall. But now? Sorry you two, Tallest goes to Wanwo, who is literally so tall that he didn’t fit completely on screen in a cut scene at one point.

Shortest: Lei’ti and Athenyia are 5′2″ and 5′1″ respectively! I had forgotten that Athenyia was so short tbh until I checked out the heights I have listed on my page lmao.

Most humble VS Most arrogant

Humble: Well, this is where it gets hard. I have a number of OCs who are pretty self deprecating to the point of verbally hurting themselves? Though I don’t think that counts as humility. Either way, I think the winner of this category goes to either Coshbyss or his sister Azukni. Coshbyss is the self-deprecating one, but Azukni at least seems to recognize enough of her own self worth to not be verbally hurting themselves all the time.

Arrogant: If I hadn’t already said that I wasn’t going to count Xyrus, he’d be the most arrogant one. Arrogance, I personally define as “putting more worth in yourself, and bragging about it, than what actually exists.” A lot of my OCs act arrogant, but know their limits. Wanwo, Davi, Rakheshi, even Azukni’s daughter Elanii to name a few. Still, if I were to point out another arrogant character, it might fall to Nalakii. She’s the one where you kind of need to actually beat her in something before she believes she isn’t strong enough for said something.

Coldest VS Most emotional

Coldest: Xyrus again lbr Uhhhhh that category belongs either to Arif or Alis. As a spy character, Arif is definitely trained to not become too emotionally attached to whoever or whatever task is set before him. Alis, a literal robot, wasn’t programmed to have any sort of emotion based modules at first, though later they sort of learn what it’s like to express or show appreciation, at the very least, to their father figure creator Drelan.

Most emotional: ngl a lot of my characters are very emotional, and always express it. :’D Ummm, hmm. If we’re judging emotion based on how immediately someone explodes? Probably Wanwo. That’s what happens when you’re forced to be Sith as an alien in the Empire I guess???? :’D

Most chaste VS Most lustful

Most chaste: Here comes another movie-era OC! Roskah, whose FC was Donnie Yen before Donnie Yen was cast as Chirrut, is Super Fucking Asexual. Asexual, Aromantic, Sex-repulsed, everything. They just focus on making their lightsabers in peace lmao. 

Most lustful: Probably Xyraan this time! Davi might’ve tied with her at one point, but ever since Davi decided to become a full-time tattoo artist and ever since Xyraan decided to do her modelling/socialite-ing/sugaring full time, Xyraan wins this round. Her Sith!AU version has literally fucked her way up the Imperial Social Ladder, while her usual version still fucks her way up the social ladder, just not as aggressively. Well, constantly. If you’re into aggressive, she’ll do that, if you give her enough reason to. (Reasons, in this case, being social status, money, and clothes. :’D)

Most serious VS Silliest

Most serious: Probably Alis? They do slowly go from “complete stoic robot” to a sort of Captain Holt style “complete stoic robot that is sarcastic.”

Silliest: Rakheshi, undoubtedly. Even when he was Sith, he’d constantly be joking around to make himself seem like less of an important target in the Sith Empire. And then don’t even get me started on those dad jokes. Good fucking lord.

Happiest VS Saddest

Happiest: Azukni! Coshbyss’ sister!

Saddest: Coshbyss! Azukni’s brother!

This one’s interesting, bc it kind of shows the dynamic of how two similar characters can be completely different if you put them in different settings. I have no doubt that Azukni would be my saddest character if she were put in Coshbyss’ place, but she wasn’t. She was fortunate to have lived in a part of the galaxy where she’s accepted for the horns that crown her head, the tattoos that adorn her skin. Coshbyss wasn’t, though he remembers what that was like.

Darkest backstory VS Lightest Backstory

Darkest: Excluding Xyrus (again), it’d still have to be one of my Siths’ backstories. Though Rakheshi grew up in the Empire, Wanwo and Coshbyss didn’t. The two latter ones remember what not being discriminated as an alien was like. At least Wanwo remembered his sibling’s name though. Coshbyss didn’t, couldn’t, after being thrown into hard manual labor and various other tasks that was no good to his sense of self worth or his memory of Azukni’s name. I guess this might go to Coshbyss again, then.

Lightest: It’d probably fall to Davi or Drelan or maybe even Azukni this time. Davi honestly just wanted to get off Zeltros, same with Drelan with Glee Anselm. But Azukni is generally the happiest, and maintains that happiness, and is also a much more complex character than Davi “Hey let’s get smashed and have a three-way with the future Wrath because he has a big dick” Mingxin

Biggest eater VS Lightest eater

Biggest eater: Davi probably, again. They like indulging and frankly, with all the back alley fist fights and bar fights and everything else they purposely fight, they can keep all the weight off. Helps that they have that Zeltron liver for all the alcohol consumption.

Lightest eater: Considering she’s the most traditional Jedi I have, probably Azukni. It’s not that Jedi don’t put flavor in their food, but she was still brought up to eat fairly lean foods that suits her dietary requirements as a Zabrak. 

Most ticklish VS Cruelest tickler

Most ticklish: This will be someone I have yet to mention, but it’s prolly going to be doctor Fauli! She’s a chiss who, though grew up in the Ascendancy, was handed off to the Empire partially because they didn’t want to deal with her anymore. (She’s far too emotional and cheery to act like a normal Chiss. Why would anyone want to deal her? Though it looks like the Empire could use some help taking care of their Chiss allies stationed in their part of space... Maybe we can dump her into their very capable hands.)

Cruelest tickler: This will be someone I haven’t mentioned as well, and it’s Howlite! Howlite’s a Chiss dude who grew up in the Republic for various reasons. He’s hella fucking bad at expressing affection but apparently, tickling is one way he’ll do that. Maybe he likes teasing his loved ones????

Brainiest VS Brawniest

Brainiest: Well, this depends on your definition of brainy. Book smarts would definitely fall to Azukni, even if she has ADHD worse than I do. She’s both got attention deficit and hyperactive disorder, but she absolutely loves to learn. When she can manage, she’ll happily sit in a sunny corner and read for the entire day. And probably forget to eat because it’s such a good read! Lei, I’m learning about the history of the Jedi, it’s interest- babe, don’t laugh at me! Learning’s fun-- hey!

Brawniest: If we’re talking about pure, physical strength, probably Wanwo. He’s built like a strongman and with the Force, could probably pull more than twice his (and Vette’s and Theron’s) weight. Kara Wren, another Togruta of mine, is probably a more capable fighter though, since they grew up with Mandalorian training and later went to the Jedi to learn to channel their powers better. Davi, however, is always the most ready to fight. That includes battling with tongues for dominance. :’D

@ghostsiickness - Arctic Monkey’s “Do I Wanna Know” came on the radio and though it’s more of a Jarrok/Xyraan song, it sounds... very spice addled to me, if that makes any sense. And then this happened. I’m not even sure if the tense is consistent tbh. I guess that’s what happens when you got homework (that you didn’t start) due in a little over twelve hours and you feel the inspiration to write.

All he hears is the sound of his breathing - in, pause, out, pause, in, pause, out, pause. All he sees is clouds and smoke swirling in the space above him, and he knows he’s in trouble, but he can’t remember why, so he’s at peace instead.

In, pause, out, pause.

Bright, blinding light and he winces. Something loud, screaming in his ear and reverberating through his head. He turns towards the source - Gold and dark mahogany and bronze and red lips and green eyes wide and noise. 

“Can you tone it down, please?” he croaks, but Athenyia doesn’t seem to hear. She’s yelling.

“I! Have told you!” She’s yelling, she’s crying, she’s sobbing, she’s something but it’s not clear to Skaeln what. “Stop taking that shit on my ship!” 

And then she’s on the bed beside him, and the world and smoke above him is going fuzzy as she shakes him. 

“Can you stop shaking me, please?” he mumbles, or thinks he does and she stops, but now her nails are digging into his arm. 

“I hate you!” she’s screaming again, and now he feels guilty, now he knows he’s in trouble, and the weight feels like lead on his chest. He tries to mumble an apology, but isn’t sure he does. Instead, the world goes whirling, twirling and he feels himself fall with a soft thunk. He thinks she must’ve shoved him off the bed, but he’s not sure. 

“Athen- Athenyia?” If he wasn’t imagining the sound of his voice, she must have stormed off in rage. He thinks. He’s not sure. But he hears her voice getting softer - still yelling, but softer now - and he groans softly and his eyes close. Let her be angry, let her be mad. Just let him ride out this last wave of- what was it, glitterstim? No, Pixie. Just let him ride out this last wave and he’ll come back to reality soon enough. Just let him have this last moment.

y’know for some goddamn reason i had managed to forget that arif’s name is so....???? specific to who he is

عارف - Arif. Someone who’s knowledgeable, an expert, a wise man, even a mystic. (At least, that’s what I think it means. It’s what I’ve gathered it means, with the resources I have.)

And a lot of my other characters, it’s a similar thought process. These names have meaning and are important to who they are.

and like, i don’t doubt that a lot of these words and phrases that i’ve mashed together can’t be a name. i have no doubt that most of the chinese words i’ve used for names don’t even make full words when put together. (wanwo’s an example of this.)
