Things I don’t want to admit but have probably happened: Kogami’s story has effectively ended in SS3, and that’s why he has a more sidelined role in season 3. he doesn’t have anything that he’s passionately chasing that challenge his morals (ig, Makishima/Garcia) nor do the writers feel the need to show him coping with his PTSD/etc any further (though, I beg to differ because thats my everything AND we don’t see the state of his relationship with Gino outside of the professional setting where they seem to be getting along well enough, and we see a good bit of how he and Akane are interacting after all these years.).
