people will watch a horror movie and be like “this made me uncomfortable therefore it should be banned and destroyed” like ….. horror movies are supposed to be shocking sorry guys idk what to tell you.

#just saw someone say ‘nosferatu was bad cause its a she was asking for it narrative’#like i suppose if you go into something wanting to hate it you will find a way to hate it #but idk how u can miss the ‘a rapist will use any method at his disposal to force consent’ and the ‘women can internalize their shame and #blame themselves for their assault’ themes bc theyre very straight forward an obvious #at no point did i feel like eggers was saying women asked to be raped ….#bc he wasnt #ur allowed to dislike something without accusing the director of being pro rape
