#at least not between Lucas Athy and Ijekiel

I'm curious about something, Lucas realized that Athy liked Ijekiel when they were younger?
I mean, in the sense that he got jealous when they interacted, then I guess so. But the thing is, other than finding him handsome and charming, Athy never let herself get emotionally close to Ijekiel. This is more prominent in the novel, but you can see it in the manhwa too (Roger out of all people explicitly tells Ijekiel just that). So she never developed any real/deeper romantic feelings for him. I'm bringing that up because the only time when Lucas and Athy talked about her relationship with Ijekiel was when Athy had just rejected him. (In one of the best scenes of the whole novel, in my opinion) Athy is troubled about causing Ijekiel pain and she opens up about it to Lucas, how she always tried to put a distance between them but that she had to end up openly rejecting him, which made her feel bad for him. Lucas then replies that she doesn't have to feel guilt over not reciprocating anybody's feelings, as she didn't have that obligation, making Athy feel better. That's how their dynamic played and sorted out when they got older.
#so to answer you more directly: Lucas never had a 'realization' because Athy opened up about the whole thing to him#sure Lucas got jealous when Athy and Ijekiel interacted (which weren't that many times. I think people play up that kind of scenario a lot)#but he is actually pretty mature about it. This is an aspect of Lucas' character that gets misunderstood a lot#he never outwardly expressed any jealousy towards Ijekiel. In the novel they interact even less in fact#it was only in front of Athy when he expressed he was feeling jealous#but yeah that scene and when he tells Athy he could wait forever until she was ready to start dating more openly#really show how Lucas respects Athy's decisions before anything else. I would say that he is the male character that respects her the most#(not counting Felix) and that scene also very obviously parallels how in the scene just before. when Athy rejects Ijekiel#Ijekiel tells Athy that he sometimes wished to keep her inside a birdcage so she would finally look at him#(After finding out about it Lucas calls Ijekiel's thinking foolish and considers it (wishing to trap Athy) something beneath him)#side note but this is also why i wouldn't really call wmmap a love triangle (or a good one)#at least not between Lucas Athy and Ijekiel#because Athy explicitly says she never allowed herself to truly like Kiel in a deep romantic sense#there's a love triangle between Jennette Kiel and Athy tho (or would you call it a love angle? since nobody reciprocates anyone's feelings)#also sorry anon i think you sent this a while back but i have been busy OTL#wmmap#wmmap novel

Thank you for stating how sick it is that claude sees athy's mom in her in any "pleasant or beautiful" occasion or moment. Like anything good about athy is basically attributed to diana aka athy is just diana's shadow/ substitute or smthg sick af as that. Also I'm so happy to know that I'm not alone in my disgust with Lucas's ass behavior and the fact that his being like athy's dad makes it more obvious that their pairing shouldn't be endgame. If I wanted any ship at all tis Athykiel, good or no
This is why I’m bothered by spoon drawing Athy with Diana’s hairstyle in the recent chapters. I get it it’s to keep her mother’s memory alive. Even if her mother can’t be there for her during her most important moment in life (her coronation) Athy at least tries to pay her respects by wearing her hair styled like Diana’s. But I genuinely hope it’s an one time thing. Athy had to pretend almost ten years of year life to be someone she was not. It took Claude 15 years to realize Athy wasn’t Diana. I feel like it doesn’t reflect well on her character development if she continues to walk around looking/acting like Diana. You’d think after realizing she is her own person she would try to dress up more individually to make it clear that she is NOT her mother.
I also find it a bit weird when people make parallels between Athy & Claude having platonic dad/daughter bonding moments  and romantic Lucas/Athy scenes. Like I’m not judging people who ship that stuff but the people who post these parallels are not even Claude/Athy shippers (I think?) which just makes it twice as strange to see them posting “Athy has a type” and then Lucas’ picture next to Athy’s dad. Not to mention putting a scene where Athy is a toddler next to a romantic Lucas and Athy scene..uhh.
What I dislike a bit about Athykiel is that the bar is so low anyone would pass it. Ijekiel doesn’t even have to try hard. Kiel is the only man Athy knows who isn’t a literal (mass) murderer or criminal. He’s the best option for her through a simple process of elemination which is in itself a bit sad.
About Lucas..well, there is nothing that hasn’t been said before. Athy likes that Lucas is mean to everyone but her. But that’s concerning. It tells you this person has a serious problem. If someone treats others poorly. They will treat you poorly. In real life these kind of people acting nice to you won't last very long. Lee Jihye who worked in customer service must have seen plenty of guys who were nice to their girlfriends but treated the employees like trash. Since this is a romance manhwa we know Lucas won’t become worse. I find it a little odd though that she brushes his behaviour off so easily when she herself had been a victim to those kind of people.

I feel like Diana ought to have more presence in WMMAP. For someone who Claude loved (no comments on whether she loved Claude because that's a whole nother ballpark), Lily was mesmerized by, and was/is Athy's mother she's achingly... absent. For the record I love characters that haunt the narrative. They may be long dead but their actions or their deaths themselves impact characters in the present in a meaningful way. Diana should've haunted the narrative more, in my opinion. And Athy should've been impacted so much more by her, even if just through Lily (no idea why Lily was singing praises about Claude when it was ultimately Diana who she was so awed by). So yeah this has turned into rambling I'm so sorry
No, exactly! Ghost-Halucination Diana was nice, but she was so important to so many people and… god, the scene where Athy meets Diana’s spirit feels almost… lackluster? Because we’ve seen Athy’s journey. She knows Diana is her mom, but she has never really thought of Diana her whole life except for the once in a while, “Oh dad is depressed because of what happened to mom” before moving on with her life. Diana could have been a GREAT way for her and Claude to bond even more (which would honestly make me like his character more). After he accepts Athy’s existence as his own, him talking and rambling about Diana with Felix pitching in and bubbly talking about her to his annoyance would have been so nice? It would have helped Claude move on so much too, talking to their daughter about what they both lost but also realizing that it isn’t the end. Lily and Claude could have also interacted! Silently acknowledging how mesmerizing Diana was while reminiscing.
In general, we should have also known about other aspects of the past that deeply affected everyone. Penelope for gods sakes, how is it that we’ve only had like three appearances of her?! She was such a detrimental character for both Claude, Felix, and Ana. I also want to know about Roger’s wife!!! What happened to her? Did she just die at some point after Ijekiel went to Arlanta? Is she actually just alive within the manor while her husband was being possessed by a dead vengeful spirit??? Give me the Alpheus Milfffff. Show who taught Ijekiel and Jennette their gentleness and kindness!
And the Ruby Palace Comcubines! Why were they done so dirty, that was like at least fifteen women just killed?!?! For no reason?!?! And nobody cares?!?! And I won’t even begin with the trauma Lily should have! She witnessed the massacre, she should have been terrified of Claude and so so sooo protective mama mode of Athy whenever in Claude’s presence! (I can’t even begin with the trauma Athy should have had retained from her second life too. Why is trauma only relevant when the plot needs it? So far, trauma wise, Jen has been the only consistent character because Claude seems to only be depressed on and off with anger issues in between, Lucas SHOULD have fears of abandonment similar to Jen seeing as his father figure essentially offed himself in front of him, and back to Lily for praising Claude to infant Athy but never talking once about the love of her life Diana??? Blasphemy, blasphemy I say!).
I love WMMAP, I really do, but god. Give events and characters weight. Don’t just say they were important, show they were important even if they’re long dead! Imagine. Imagine how much more emotional Athy and Diana’s meeting would have been if Athy saw how her guardians bonded and lovingly talked about the goofy, affectionate, sometimes scary mother she never met was. We were so robbed of all of these characters.

Manhwa crack crossover, housemate reality show edition AU
Okay, my brain won't stop feeding me various AUs. As usual, still crossover - the more the merrier, right? .
So, my country has a reality show called "PBB" or Pinoy Big Brother. It's basically a reality show where a bunch of people all over the country gets selected to live in "Kuya's" house. There, they interact with other chosen contestants and participate in tasks for charity purposes.
If there are any fellow Filipino peeps out there who knows this better than I do - because I only watch snippets - please feel free to comment, because my knowledge is very limited. I get the gist of it, but that's it.
Chosen housemates are of course, our lovely main leads.
Cue Yvonne (if you wish to use the Leila'd one) being the leech housemate who gets on the viewer's nerves but somehow still able to stay inside the house. Penelope is the one who joined to escape the Eckart family - but somehow, in an ironic twist of fate, she gets saddled with them, again. Callisto is the one who hurriedly joined the show because of Icklies's appearance - idk if this one's gonna be yandere, since Icklies doesn't really have a reason to hate her.
Athy is among the first batch of contestants, along with Penelope, Aristia - who just broke up with her ex. Athy joined the show without Claude's permission but with Lilly's - AGAIN, bonus angst points, they do not have a good relationship, because I like it that way.
Lucas is the prodigy who has too much time on his hands so he joins and he and Athy then proceeds to unintentionally make the cutest couple. IDK if you guys want to add in Ijekiel, but if you want love triangle, go off, I guess. Where LucAthy is the cute couple, PeneLlisto is the fierce one, but ultimately, I feel that PeneLlisto will be the more hilarious one. PeneLlisto starts off on the wrong foot, like the novel.
Penelope is the Preppy Queen who was made with too much sass, beauty, and brains, and little awareness of her love life.
Penelope is hilariously oblivious to Callisto's advances, so while Penelope is stating to "Kuya" just how much she is afraid of Callisto since they both grew up on the same village/block/condominium building - your choice - then being absolutely horrified at the notion that he has a thing for her and grossly misunderstanding Callisto's advances while Callisto is just over there, calling her Princess and being so caring and loveable - in his own way - I'm talking about the bear scene in the novel, kind of like that, where Callisto gives her the bear's head with no malicious intention but Penelope misinterprets it as him asking her for a duel to death. The reason for why Penelope is afraid of him is because she singlehandedly witnessed him beat the shit out of guys twice his size.
Heart-to-heart moment between Reynold and Penelope - if you wish - where Reynold asks Penelope why she ran away from home and then them resolving their issues - not quite, but at least Reynold was sensible enough to recognize his faults (unlike someone over there).
For Aristia, I'm sorry for RuveTia shippers but personally, I'm more of a SeinTia - you decide either of the three will be the ex and who will be the ending loveteam. For extra drama, Jieun can join in on the show, same to Jeannette.
Mildred (I Raised Cindrella Preciously) is the very pretty single mother - forced into the show by her daughters where they think she can gain another chance at love since the blind dates weren't working - who is ready to listen to everyone and be the mother most of them never had. Daniel is the Harvard Hottie who eventually just becomes the dad figure to the others. It is glaringly clear that Daniel is interested in Mildred, but Mildred is another level of oblivious, so let's just say they're like PeneLlisto with the exception of fierce.
Keira is the one who gained a rebellious streak and insisted on going to the reality show since Cossette's arrival to their house. Her Dad reluctantly agrees on it, and thinks nothing more of it, until he spends the rest of the show lowkey jealous over Mildred and Daniel since he realized how much of a douchebag he was to Keira.
Definitely, cue many breakdown moments for our lovestarved main leads, them bemoaning about their family situations and stuff like that.
To be honest, I can see Derrick being the first to get evicted. The guy is seriously so infuriating. I think the viewers will feel the same way we readers did.
Add the characters you also wish to be in the reality show as well as their background, and if you can, also a nickname for them - I'm shit at it, but an example is Daniel being "Harvard Hottie" - as well as the challenges and tasks for them.

because I saw the way the story's plot was turning in a direction I didn't really like and was not feeling it anymore — now I’m curious, what sort of direction did you want it to go 👀👀👀
Wellllllll....let's see.. To wrap up my thoughts and feelings, I think I wanted the whole thing to go the way the novel did at least, (even if I had to withstand the whole Lucathy) but at least there would be hints of Athykiel here and there. There was also the hope that I'd be able to see more bonding between Athy and the rest of the characters (coughclaudecough) but it looked like Spoon wasn't going to go that route, which ended up being true..
From what I could catch it looks the amnesia arc went on much longer than I thought and the whole Aeternitas & Anastasius & Roger & Jennette kinda didn't go the way I expected either... (basically I just thought of a love triangle arc in which Ijekiel would pull off his yandere tendencies before Athy chose Lucas over him lmao big hopes cause I HATE love triangles!!) but honestly that would've been better than seeing Athy all depressed and unhappy because of her deadbeat dad and estranged fam and other enemies..
TLDR: After debutante-> love triangle+ happy days-> defeat enemy while bonding-> happy ending for athy and the gang
