alrightttt. my sweet chickies have their official Big Girl brooder area in the house and a big ol' new baby run in the backyard (although its not secure enough for them to be left unattended yet so for now it's more or less a supervised recess yard lol)

They had SO much fun out back today in all the dirt and woodchips (Sugar found a little worm and went ballistic) and their new big brooder room inside is like a little chicken resort ngl

Nilla, of course, is still Queen of the Roost. But an underdog contender, 2 week old Poppy, is taking home the belt for Bravest Bird overall

#farmer dense #i love my girls #i can't believe how fast they grow tbh like it surprises me every time #at least my 2weekers are still fluffy #Nilla is going gremlin and now so are Nutmeg and Cinnamon #I'm worried about Sage because she's my softest girl and is for sure at the bottom of the pecking order #and she's struggling with the recall when i work them as a whole group so #i'm going to pull her Nutmeg and Sugar (all three of them are the weakest in terms of the recall)#and put them in with either Basil or Poppy (2 of my strongest recallers) in a separate room for a bit and work them in a much smaller group #give sage and the other 2 a chance to realize what game we're actually playing
