First Mornings and Little Feet
Word count: 2.1k
Warnings: none
What's it got: FLUFF and Peter Parker x Reader
You knew they were in your room before you’d even opened your eyes. Their little feet padded down the hallway first to you parents room, then to yours. You felt the body next to yours shift ever so slightly as the door slowly creaked open.
“She’s sleeping” one whispered, then the other, not even triying to be quiet asked “Who’s that?”
“Maybe she got married.” the first voice offered but was quickly shot down by the other rudely telling him that there would have been ‘a wedding with a pretty dress and a big cake.”
You smile to yourself while listening to their little conversation. Unortunitly for you, the small smile gave away the fact that you were no longer sleeping.
“I think she’s awake.”
The smile quckly disapeers and you try to cover-up your mistake by nuzzling your face into your pillow. The pillow was saturated with the smell of a familiar yet, unfamiliar shampoo.
“No she’s not her eyes are closed.” One says sticking their pudgy little finger in the corner of your eye to prove their point
“Nuh unh she’s just pretending.”
You could hear more whispering but couldn’t make out the words, then you hear their footsteps walking towards the door, then door door clicked shut. You sigh in relief as you were worried that they’d wake Peter up. It’s not like you didn’t want them to meet him, but you weren;t really sure how he’d react to your little brother and sister as he didnt have any of his own. He seemed good with the younger ones in his appartment building, always asking them about their favourite teacher and about the characters on their tiny shoes and backpacks, telling them how cool he thought they were. But maybe being woken up at 7am on a Saturday wasn’t the best idea. Especially since this was his first time staying over. You didn’t want to throw him to the wolves that your siblings could be so early in the morning. Though since they’d left, luck seemed to be on your side. Or so you thought.
As you opened your eyes, you were startled to find a small pair of bright green ones starring right back at you, just mere inches away.
“I told you she was pretending.” Abbi giggle, poking your cheek
“Shhhh,” You hold your finger up to your lips, “don’t be so loud honey.”
“Is that your husband?” questioned your little brother, emerging from his hiddling place behind your desk chair. You hadn’t even seen him because there were a few autume coats and sweaters flung over in disarray.
“No Theo he’s not.” You whisper back, trying to inspire them to be more quiet. They were only four and hadn;t quite drasped the concept of speaking softly when others are sleeping. Or speaking softly in general.
“Told you so.” Abbi chanted, sticking her tongue out at her brother.
“Hey be nice.” He quickly dodges away from you before you could swat her. Not that you would have. You didn’t have the energy plus you usually left the discipling to your parents.
Theo and you were used to Abbi’s assertive and bossy behaviour. She was the more fiesty one while Theo was more shy and would be happy to go along with whatever his sisters were doing.
Before she could mouth back at you, Peter rolled over snuggling into your back. You could feel his brows furrowing as he tried to make sense of where the small voices were comign from. You smile as he sleepily grumbles incoherrant words into yor shoulder.
“Hey it’s alright, go back to sleep.” You reasure him, rubbing your thumb across his forearm that he’d lazyily slung across your waist.
“Can you make us breakfast?” Theo asked giving you the look of a million pathetic puppys. Whoever said the puppy eyes didn’t work with green eyes, was clearly wrong.
“How about you two go eat cereal and watch TV until mum and da wake up instead."
“Because,” Abbi gestures as if she’s in some teen-drama “there’s no more milk.” Clearly this was a high ranking problem in her little world.
“Okay okay fine, just give me a few minutes alright.” Giving in before she got any louder.
They nod eagerly and scamper out of the room, but before Theo shut the door he looks back to give you a little smile and wave. You chuckle to yourself at how sweet and adorable he could be in the morning, quite the contrast to his sister. Which you found odd because he was the least cuddly out of the two when they were babies.
What you didn’t reallize was that Theo was actually waving to Peter. Not even two second after the door clicked shut, you feel him smile into your shoulder before pressing gentle kisses to your neck.
“How long have you been awake?” you ask as you turn around in his arms to face him.
“Few minutes.” He answers grinnign sleepily at your messy bed hair. “I didn’t realize your siblings were that young. I was expecting like ten or twelves years old.”
“Mmmmm nope they’re four.”
“Both?”
“Mmm hmm. Twins. Not identical obviously.”
“Interesting, who’s older?”
“Yeah we have no idea.”
Peter looked at you quizically, trying to understand what you just told him. He couldn’t tell if you were being serious or not.
You sighed before answering the unspoken question.
“We weren’t there when they were born. They were dropped off at a hospital the day after. They’re adopted.”
Peter’s eyebrows shot up, nealy to his hair line as he listened to what you were revealing.
“I wow I had no id-I have no idea what what to say.”
“It’s alright babe, it’s not that big of a deal. They know they’re adopted. It’s some big secret. My parents have told them sice day one.”
“Man that must have been hard on them.”
“Easier then trying to hide the truth their whoel lives. Plus my parents are both red heads, I think they’d get suspicious after a while since they’re both brunettes.”
“True, so are uh are you adopted too?”
“Yep.”
“Hunh.”
There was an awkward pause in the conversation as Peter mawled over what he’d just learned.
“Me too.” He half whispered
“What?”
“I’m adopted too.”
“Yeah, I guess you are. Huh, I never thought of it that way.”
“Me neither.” He chuckles at his confession. “So does this have anything to do with the fact that in grade 8 you told the teacher that you would rather adopt kids then have your own.”
“Um yeah actually. Peter I gotta say I’m kind of impressed that yo remember that.”
“Ohhhhh I see. You didn’t believe me when I mentioned that I’ve had my eyes on you for a while sis ya?”
“I know now.” You giggle “That actually makes me feel kind of bad that I didn’t really notice you until much later.”
“Meh, no harm done. I think it just gave me time to fall for you.”
“Oh my goodness that was cheesy.”
“Always for you.” He replies making you visibly cringe. Peter leans over to close the gap betweenn your lips. They’d just barely connected when you heard a chorus of giggles and ‘ewwws’ erupt from the doorway behind you.
You sigh and roll over to tell them off but as soon as you moved, they bolted out of the room giggling as they went.
Peter chuckled lightly at your departed audience.
“I am so sorry about them.”
“Why be sorry? They’re cute.”
“Believe me, they stop being cute after a while.”
“Where are you going?” he questions while youwiggled out of his grasp and out of bed.
“I have to feed the monsters remember?” you remind him as you searched the through the sweaters laying over your chair, finally settling on a navy blue one that was just slightly baggy on your frame. You stand in front of the mirror while you put your hair up in a messy bun.
“And where do you think your going?” you ask noticing in the reflection that he’d pulled the blankets off of himself to sit on the edge of the bed and stretch.
“Thought we were feeding the quote-unquote monsters. Unless you don’t want me to.”
“Peter I’m not going to say no.” You giggle, sitting yoruself down on his lap, bringing his arms around your torso. “I just didn’t think that you’d want to.”
“Anything with you is an adventure.” He smiles kissing the tip of your nose, then yoru forehead and at last, your lips. You grin into the soft kiss, pulling away after a few moments.
“Good morning.” You whisper
“Good morning yourself.” He leans back in for another kiss but you move your head before he can connect his lips with yours.
“Can’t get too destracted remember?”
“Mmmm of course.” Honestly how is it possible for someone to look that cute after denying them a kiss.
“Well then, off to feed the monsters.”
The two of you walked out of the room and into the kitchen to see Abbi and Theo sitting in front of the TV watching Paw Patrol. You put two pans on the stove to heat them up while Peter takes the eggs and bacon out of the fridge. By then you’d caught the attention of yoru brother and sister who’d decided they wanted a job. Well more like demanded a job. I’ll let you figure out who did that...
So you assigned them the task of toasting and buttering the bread. While they did that, they would take turns tackling Peter. One would cling to his leg or foot while the other would jump onto his back. Eventually the toast was forgotten by them but you didn’t mind. All of your previous worries involving Peter and your siblings dissapeared the moment you looked back to see them all playing together.
After a few moments of flipping the bacon and eggs, you turned to see Peter walk back into the kitchen with his arms flexed and a child hanging off of each bicep, dangling a foot or so off the ground, giggling and squealing the whole time. He just carried them around as if they weighed nothing.
That just happened to be the moment your parents walked in to see their youngest children hanging off the arms of a stranger. It wasn’t a complete surprise as you had mentioned the day before that Peter might stay over. You couldn’t believe that they didn’t forbdi it. You were prepared to have a big list of reasons why they couldn’t say no. Thankfully, that wasn’t needed. They seemed to be okay with the idea under the promise that nothing ‘funny’ would happen in the bedroom. They far rather the two of you stay at the house than sneaking off somewhere with someone they haven’t met. Well now it was time to meet the parents anyways.
“Morning hun, that smells delicious.” You mother says as she walkes into the kitchen, then stop when she notices the clowning aorund that is happening. “Ahhh this explains the goggling. You must be Peter. It’s nice to finally meet the boy who stole Y/N’s heart.”
“Mum!” you scoff mortifies and blushing as bright as the bacon.
“He’s cute.” She whispers as she passes you to steal a piece of bacon from a plate.
“Hi it um, it's nice to uh meet you too Mrs. L/N.” Peter stammers blushing nearly as red as you , if not more. He’d barely had time to recover before your dad walks in.
“Ah yes, I was definetly prepared for this, this morning. Meeting the boyfriend. Today, the morning of today.” He stalles trying to figure out how to handle the situation. He’d completly forgotten about Peter staying over. That was kind of the plan though, you had asked while he was watching golf so he wouldn’t give it too much thought then freak out.
“Daaaaad. Stop being weird.”
“Right, sorry uh I’d shake your hand but i see that they’re both a little full.” He recovered, jesturing to his kids still clinging to Peter.
“That’s alright.” Peter said starting to calm down once he realized that your dad was just as freaked out by this as he was.
Peter had admitted earlier that he was nervous about meeting your parents. Especially you dad. Apparently the last time he had to meet someone's dad it didn’t go over to well. But other than the first awkward conversation, the rest of the morning went sommothly. Peter was smart about not showing PDA with your parents around. You mum just loved him right away while you dad was more hesitant. But, he came around. Honestly this mornign could not have gone better. Just you and your little family that you’d accumulated over the years
AN: Okay so this has only been spell checked so please forgive the awful grammar and such. This is the only fic I've done this week because I've been busy with family stuff and lots of home work n top of that. Hope you like it, thanks for reading-xx Reetz <3

Description:
After a loss in the family uncovers a family secret, Jaleia and her husband Jesse are forced to balance one family crisis after another along with their budding careers and their plans to expand their family. Will the pressure to keep everyone else together ruin their own relationship? Can ruined relationships be fixed before it’s too late?
tw: pregnancy loss
Chapter 7:
"JESSE! JESSE! COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" I yelled from the bathroom. I heard his footsteps get louder.
"Are you okay? What's wrong?"He said, looking worried and out of breath.
"Look at these." I showed Jesse the pregnancy test I had hidden behind my back.
"You're????? Preg-What?" He said, his faced was so shocked. He picked me up and spun me around.
"I don't know what made me take the test, I'm only like two days late but I just thought might as well and, well. I'm pregnant!"
"Oh my God!"
"We're gonna have a baby!"
"We are gonna have a baby!"
"But you can't tell anyone. I don't want to tell anyone until I'm past the first trimester. In case, you know. " I told him,
Holding his hands.
"Not even my mom?" He said.
"Definitely not your mom! She would tell everyone, and she'd want to give me advice I didn't ask for, she-" He kissed me, his hands holding my face close to him.
"I won't tell anyone, I promise."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I looked around Starbucks, before my eyes found who I was searching for. Her maroon purse sticking out from her perfectly coordinated black pantsuit. She hadn't seen me yet because she was on her phone so I snuck up behind her.
"Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed as I jumped out at her.
"If you don't stop doing that, you crazy person!" She said as she slapped me on the arm. I laughed and sat down next to Kiara. My very best friend since the second grade.
"Hey sis, what's good?" I said smiling like I hadn't just acted a fool.
"Don't give me that after what you just pulled!" She said while giving me a hug. We hadn't seen each other for way to long. Over a month and I really missed her. We both picked careers that had us extremely busy. While I went to medical school, she went to law school and now works at a law firm that does hundreds of cases a year. She specialized in Family Law. It was great when we both went to med/law school because we both understood how busy we were and although we could barely hang out we were still super close. Now we are both Married- after being maid of honor at each other's weddings. (That caused a huge argument with my sisters cause I didn't choose them.)
"Did you order yet?" I asked her.
"Yeah, but I ordered for you too." She said.
"It's these moments when I realize how much I love you. So what's been going on?"
"I have a crazy divorce case. Sis, they are tiring me out, drugs, cheating, pettiness, kids! I mean this case could drag on for another six months! I'm tired of dealing with them."
"Well, as you know divorces are messy. Are these the ones that keep posting everything on Instagram Live?"
"Yes! No matter how many damn times I tell this woman, 'stop putting everything on Social media, this can and will be used against you, it doesn't matter what he posted on Facebook,' she won't listen and it's making this more difficult than it has to be!"
"Aww, I would say it'll get better but she ain't gonna listen. How's your mom, how's Mike and the kids?" I asked. Mike is her husband.
"Everyone's good. Mike is getting on my nerves as usual. But really he surprised me at work a few days ago with flowers and lunch. It was sweet! The kids are fine."
"Awww, he surprised you?"
"Yeah, but not as much as I surprised him later!"
"Nasty!"
"Its natural! Our drinks are ready." She said. I got up.
"You ordered and paid, I'll get them, sit!" I walked up to the counter to grab our drink and brownies- there is no way I would ever leave Starbucks without a brownie. As I was walking back to our seat I saw the cutest little girl- only about 1 year old. I had to stop and say how cute she was. Her mother had the prettiest dreads with beads and her little girl had the cutest afro-puffs. In nine months that would be me and Jesse. Our little baby was growing inside me and it took everything in me not to tell Kiara. But if I made Jesse promise then I couldn't tell either.
"Your daughter is so cute!" I said to the mom.
"I guess you didn't see me trying to get her out of the car. Thank you, I'm Alicia. "
"Jaleia, she's so adorable!"
"Thank you, Ari say hi!" Her mom said. Ari looked at me and waved her hand. I waved back.
"Aww, I better get out of here before my fraps melt. Bye Ari!" I said waving again.
"Say bye Ari!" Her mom said. I waved again and got back to my seat.
"So what did you stop for?"
"A baby, she was so cute! Don't roll your eyes! Babies are very distracting!" I said handing her a drink and her cookie.
"Anyway, how's Jess doing?"
"He's much better, Diana is staying with us temporarily. His mom is selling the house, and poor Di can't stand to be in it. So she's staying with us until Aiesha finds a new home." I sipped my frappuccino.
"How that been going besides scaring her for life?"
"First of all it's not funny. I have never been more embarrassed. You know what we should do?"
"What?"
"You should come over and have a sleepover!"
"Girl! Who? I have two kids!"
"So? I want this so it should happen." She laughed.
"Maybe some other time."
"Oh come on! Please?"
"Maybe."
"Please."
"You're never giving this up are you?"
"Nope!"
Kiara sighed. I could tell I could wear her down if I was persistent enough.
"I'll think about it."
>>>>>>>
"Babe, I'm home!" I yelled as I walked through the door after meeting with Kiara. Usually I hear Jesse respond back but all i heard was yelling. I couldn't make out what they were saying but I could hear Jesse and Diana yelling at each other. I put my stuff down and started climbing up the stairs.
"Well you're not my dad! You're my brother, why can't you just be chill about this?"
"I'm not dad, but while you live with me, I am responsible for you and you cannot stay overnight in New York! Are you crazy?"
"Are you? Can you get out my room?" Diana asked. I peeked into her room. I could practically see steam radiating off of Jesse at this point. I put my hands on his shoulders and said, "Maybe we should give her a little space."
"How much space does she need? She's in my damn house." Jesse said, but allowing me to steer him out the door. We went downstairs to the living room.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"She's mad at me because her and her little friends want to camp out in Central Park overnight to see the free Trevor J concert and I said no. Can you believe it? Central Park, at night?" He said as he started pacing.
"Wow, yeah that's crazy. I would never. Overnight?" Central park is NOT the place for sixteen year olds to be at night. New York was my favorite city but the people there are crazy as hell. There's no way she thought that through.
"I offered to take her and her friends early in the morning but apparently that's not good enough."
"Calm down babe, you're going to walk a hole in our carpet."
"Who the fuck does she think she is, talking to me like that? Damn right I'm not dad or he would've knocked her teeth out for talking to him like that. She must've lost her damn mind." He said still fuming. I grabbed his hand and pulled him close to me. I kissed his cheek gently.
"Give yourself and Diana a few minutes to cool down. Once you compose yourself maybe you can talk to her and work that out. When's the concert?"
"I don't get it. I have been nothing but nice to her. What the hell was that?"
"Babe, I know that this is frustrating but don't forget she's not herself. She's still struggling and this whole brat thing is just a reflection of that. She's a teenager. They're crazy." I said as I wrapped my arms around him. He sighed, and looked at me.
"Yeah, you're right. How was your day?" He said, rubbing my back.
"It was fine. You know I met with Kiara today."
"Yeah, how is she?"
"She's good, Mike is going to have some sort of kickback, or something I don't remember but you're invited. Text him. We have a doctor's appointment this week."
"Are you excited? What time?"
"I am so excited! We're going to have a girl and she's going to have your face, and your voice, and my brain, and she's going to be so cute and-"
"Wait, You gotta tell me when and where, Love."
"Oh, sorry. I forgot. Um let me get my phone. I think Thursday at 6:30. Does that work?" I said looking around for my phone.
"Anytime works, love. I'll be there no matter what." He said kissing me.
"I'm so excited!" I said bouncing up and down.
"I can tell," he laughed, "You wanna hear my new song?"
"Yes! Carry me!" I said. Jesse bent down and I climbed on his back.
"You know there's going to be a time when we're both too damn old for this, right?"
"But that day is not today, to the studio!"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
After a long discussion about respect, Jesse and Diana had come to an agreement. The concert was on Thursday at 7am. It was one of those morning show concerts. They would get up really early in the morning, meet up with her friends, go to the concert, Jesse supervising of course, and would spend the rest of the day at Jesse's studio in the city. All Diana had to do was not catch an attitude. I admired how much Jesse was really trying with his sister. Even though she kept pushing the Hell of out his buttons he still tried to be fair and understanding. I could tell he was going to be a really amazing father and that made me even more excited. So far we both were able to keep my pregnancy a secret even though I felt like I was about to explode.
Jesse's mom scheduled Diana with a grief counselor. Jesse was supposed to take her every Saturday. When they told Diana, she blew up on them and her mom almost snapped on her. Jesse had to keep Aiesha from slapping her into another century. Eventually she agreed to go, (as if she had a choice) and everything calmed down. She had been really moody lately and driving Jesse crazy but I guess since he was going to take her to the concert she had been calm for the past few days.
Jesse was in the basement with his friends playing 2K or whatever game they were into this week. Naim, Dre, and Jamal have been his best friends since college, Mike got along with Jesse as soon as they met. We used to do a lot of double dates with Kiara and Mike. I was never a video game person, so I didn't know what the difference was between 2K, COD, or whatever. Jesse didn't play that often but when he did, you could not get him away.
I was doing the laundry, which meant I had to keep going up and down to the basement where our washer and dryer were. Jesse and I took turns with a lot of the chores, and it was my week to do the laundry. Every time I came down I would watch Jesse with his friends for a bit. They were so cute. They would have their snacks and beers on one table, videogames on another. Half the time they would argue about sports. Jesse was a big kid again.
As I took the clothes up, I stopped and yelled, "Do you guys need anything?"
"Nah, they can get their fat asses up!" Jesse replied.
"You just mad cause you lost!" One of his friends said.
"Shut up, man! Can we get some more wings?" Jesse asked, looking up from the TV for just a moment.
"Sure babe, I'll be right back!" I said and started climbing up the stairs.
"You need help?" He asked, eyeing the basket of clothes.
"Relax, I'm fine, it's not heavy." Once I got upstairs I put the clothes down on a chair, when I looked up Jesse's mom was sitting on our couch.
"How did you get in here?" I asked in disbelief.
"My key." She said as if it was obvious. We never gave his mom a key to our house. Did we?
"Who gave you a key?"
"Where's Jesse, I have to square a few things away with him."
"Downstairs. How did you get a key to our house?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" She said smugly as she walked into our kitchen. What the hell is wrong with her? I stood halfway down the stairs.
"Jess, your mom is here, and did you give her a key to our house?"
"It was supposed to be for emergencies." He said not even looking up from the game.
"When were you going to tell me?"
"I didn't think I'd have to, I never thought she'd need to use it." He said, still not looking up.
"Jesse!"
"Jaleia!"
"If you don't get your ass up here in the next thirty seconds!" I yelled. He hit pause, to which all the guys groaned, and started to come up the stairs.
"You know I'm just kidding with you." He said.
"I know, but did you really have to give your mom a key?"
"I didn't think she'd actually use it." I rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me."
"Or what? What you gon' do? Huh?" I said, slightly pushing his shoulder.
"Come here!" He said and I ran behind the couch. He chased me, almost caught me until I jumped over the couch. I ran into the kitchen where I had to make a hard stop, just to avoid running his mom over. Jesse came behind me two seconds later, putting his arms around my waist and his chin on my shoulder.
"Sup mom." He said as we both tried not to laugh at her look of confusion.
>>>>>>>>>>>
It was Thursday evening and we were driving to my OB/GYN appointment and Jesse was telling me all about how great the concert went with Diana.
"Yeah, she had a great time! Not a single complaint. She said at the studio that she wanted to spend the summer there interning for me. I was shocked, I didn't think she would be interested but I guess seeing it in person is different."
"That's great! Maybe it will be good for her. She can sing like you, maybe she will grow that talent."
"Yeah, I would love that. But I already told her that she would have to be professional, and listen and do what I told her. So if she can handle that, it'll be lit."
"Lit? Really lit?" I said side eyeing Jesse. I turned into the parking lot of the Doctor's office.
"What? I can't say lit?"
"Not after turning twenty-five, no. Ready?"
"Wait, can you turn around you got something on your-" He said so I moved closer to him and he kissed me.
"Now I'm ready." he said.
"You so silly!" I said smiling.
>>>>>>>>>>>
Jesse sat in a chair next to the exam bed. He held my hand while we waited for the doctor to return. He started to softly sing Lost Without U by Robin Thicke. I smiled as I listened to him sing. The door opened.
"Hey Doc!" Jesse said. I slapped his arm.
"Hey guys, I got the results of your blood work back." Dr. Carter said.
"And?" I said, my heart speeding up because the look on her face wasn't exactly a positive one.
"I'm sorry but you've had what we call a chemical pregnancy." Dr. Carter said.
"Chemical pregnancy? What does that mean?"
"That I'm not pregnant anymore." I said looking down at my lap.
"Unfortunately, the embryo never implanted in your uterus, due to some sort of issue during development. Sometimes genetic or chromosomal but most of the time we'll never know. Your body recognized that it wasn't a viable pregnancy and stopped the pregnancy from continuing. There was nothing that could've prevented this from happening I'm so sorry Jaleia."
I didn't say anything. I felt Jesse kiss the side of my head.
"Um, when could we try again?"
"I would give it about two weeks just allow everything to return to normal but really as soon as your ready to try again you can. As long as there are no abnormal symptoms, you can try again whenever your ready."
"Thank you, Dr. Carter." I said.
"I'll have a nurse prepare for at- home instructions for you. If you have any questions or anything concerning happens call me, I want to call me. I'll see you again in a week for a follow up. I'm so sorry."
"Thanks again, Dr. Carter." Jesse said. She walked out the door. Jesse squeezed my hand.
"I'm sorry baby." He said, kissing my cheek.
"I don't know what to say." I said. I got off the exam chair. Jesse held out hands and I fell into them. I could feel the tears flowing down my cheeks as he rocked us back and forth.
"I just wanted this so bad." I said.
"I'm so sorry baby. I know how excited you were." He said, rubbing circles into my back.
"Let's go, I want some ice cream." I said. Jesse chuckled, and grabbed a few tissues and wiped my face with them.
"Then ice cream is what you'll get, Love. I love you."
"Love you too babe."

HERE IS A LITTLE 80S HARRY FOR YOUR SOUL
"You good, Bug?" He asks, flipping the sixth slice of bread over in the pan and Y/N nods, oddly comfortable with him here, but she doesn't let herself relax any. Shouldn't have even zoned out as she had, but she figures if he were a serial killer he would've struck then, "You got mad quiet out of nowhere." The tea kettle shrieks a noise that startles her, causing a jump to shake through her and she nearly sweeps the whole bag of bread on the floor. When he'd started that up she wouldn't know, but he has two mugs out that happened to be her favorites (one shaped like a whale with the hand it's tail curved upward, and the other with an octopus on the floor of it, with it's tentacles extending up and over the sides of the ceramic; both she got from Niall after his "spiritual" retreat to a nonprofit ocean life exhibit that exposed him to the truth about sea world and the real ways an oceanic creature acts, looks, and behaves) and peach tea bags from what she can smell.
"Have you been in my house before?" Y/N asks him, watching as he opens the exact pantry for the plates.
Harry shrugs, "Dunno', feels like it." He answers, "Can't imagine when, if you're sayin' this is the future or what have you." And oh yeah, she nearly forgot the problem at hand.
Y/N's about to say something, when she hears her front door open and Liam and Niall both rush inside panting. Niall's got his shirt on inside out, his hair flat and lifeless on his head, and Liam's puppy eyes are bugging out, looking around quickly, a golf club in his hands. "Where is the creep?" Liam asked, looking around, preparing for battle and Y/N thinks maybe she might have over did it with the explanation of Harry here as some "tall, stalker, pervert or whatever. . .he snuck into my house!"
They look proper disheveled, though this affects Harry none. Holding the plate he had already in his hands towards them generously.
"Eggy bread?" He offers.

Liam rubs his hands over his face, sat at the table besides Niall who is scarfing down eggy bread like nobody's business. Y/N and Harry sat across from them, Y/N forking the strawberries Harry had insisted cutting up for a side into her mouth and Harry eating his bread with happy hums.
"So let me get this straight," Liam starts, the golf club he'd brought lying on the floor, "You're from the 80s. . ."
"Correct." Harry says over a full mouth.
"You were at a party, did some drugs, passed out. . ."
"Correct."
"Woke up to Y/N screaming, no recollection of how you got here . . ."
"Correct!"
"What the fuck."
"Hm?" Harry looks up to Liam, who reaffirms it louder.
"What the fuck!" Liam looks in between them, "How're you not freaking out? You literally time travelled -- you're in a new fucking millennium! This is wild, I'm skipping class today and googling everything I can even think of."
Niall speaks up for the first time since agreeing to a plate, "Sick mate! You're like a modern Marty McFly."
"Oh shite, I love that movie!" Harry reaches over for a high five, and Y/N's got her fingers to her temples.
"Okay, sweet, we all love the 80s and fucking time travelers, but are we not going to bring up the fact that he has no way home? And not to mention where he's supposed to stay 'cos --"
"Can't I stay with you?" Harry asks, tilting his head towards the side, "I like it here -- feels like home almost."
And. . .okay, Y/N was not a pushover. She was totally, definitely not a pushover.  So what if when Niall asks her to rub his back, or his shoulders, or play with his hair she does it without little thought. Or that one time Liam asked her to bathe the dog he and Niall had somehow kept a secret from the dorm patrol, and she spent the better part of three hours sitting in the tub with a pug who was filthy and really not into water. Or even when that one boy -- Louis was it? -- was drunker than she thinks she's ever seen someone, needed a place to spend the night and she let him sleep in her bed and. . .well fuck, maybe she was a pushover.
But how could she say no? How could she say no to Harry? Sure he was a stranger, but he had nowhere to go and he's probably just as confused as the rest of them. Maybe even scared -- though he won't let on -- who wouldn't be when they wake up and everything they've known has changed? Y/N wasn't a cruel person, and dare she say in the very, very, very short time she's known him she grew a little bit of a soft spot.
"I. . .cool. I mean okay, fine, but no sleeping in my bed."
Harry grins, "Oh, shibby innit? Roomies!"
                                                                                          +
When Y/N gets back after class (though she was really reluctant to go, leaving a practical stranger alone in her home though he seemed relatively harmless) Harry was doing yoga is what it looked like, changed into an old shirt Y/N recognized as her father's, sweatpants that she had bought a size to big, and his hair wet and springy ringlets. Her door shuts with a click and Harry pops up from the position he was in, smiling brightly with a wave, "You're back finally." He pushes himself up, going towards her and wrapping his arms around her in a huge hug. Y/N's eyes widen. She was gone for two hours and comes back to more affection than she gets from Niall when he has a breakup.
"Hey," Y/N wraps a cautious hand around him, "Did you get weed from down the hall and get high or somethin', 'cos I would not trust Marva."
Harry shakes his head, nosing at her neck, and what in god's name-- "I had an epiphany while you were gone, s'that you're the best person in the world. And you've got great taste in body wash -- do I smell like lavender?" He wafts himself at her and she nods for show, a little too scared to breathe in so deep around him. Not only does he smell like lavender, but he smells like something else she can't put her finger on and it's really, really nice. Though if she inhales as much as she wants of it she might pass out, so she doesn't give herself the chance. "I made us noodles for dinner."
"Were you a cook where you came from?" Y/N wonders aloud, and Harry nods, still pressed tight to her.
"Sorta. Me mum always made me help her with dinner, so I've got a trick or three up my sleeve." Finally he draws back, but he slots his fingers into hers and tugs her towards the kitchen where he's got the table made up and everything. Y/N doesn't think she's had the table set up like this in. . .well, she's never had the table set up like this before. Never had she actually cooked noodles either -- she wasn't very good at it unless it was ramen.
So she's got something short of a culinary artist in her house now, which was nice she presumes. Maybe having him here won't be a worry at all.
                                                                                                     +
Y/N would be super pissed if anybody else woke her up at 7AM on a Saturday morning to go shopping, but Y/N had promised Harry that she'd take him out if he let her study for her test that was on Friday (he was a clingy roomie at best, but he's a good study partner and promises to make jam tarts if she gets a 90%). She figured if he was going to be here for a while she was going to have to get him clothes, and though she doesn't have much money she has enough. The dorm she stays in was factored into the total cost, and since she'd maintained her GPA they offered her (just as they'd offered other students) a bigger room, with their own kitchen and bath, as a 'good job' type of ordeal.
Though Y/N doesn't know how she could be mad, when Harry wakes her so sweetly -- voice a low lilt as he speaks, "Moppet, it's time to get up! I wanted to make you a breakfast smoothie but you've got no fruit, shame on you."
"You ate all my fruit," Y/N answers back croakily, because it was true. He did eat all her fruit, "I should have granola bars in the pantry if you --" she starts to say as she sits up, knuckling at her eyes.
"Oh, Moppet, you're so cute in the mornings!" Harry gushes, reaching out and poking at her cheeks, "Makes me just wanna pinch and poke ya! Adorable, you are."
Were the 80's a touchy feely time? Y/N doesn't know, but Harry certainly made it seem like that. Nonstop, he was patting her, begging for a cuddle, pinching her sides, and picking her up whenever he wanted. It annoys the hell out of her, but not because she doesn't like that he's touching her -- she certainly likes that -- however, these little jolts like stereotypical electricity twinkles its way throughout her body anytime his skin comes in contact with hers. She tells herself it's because he's some weird time traveling guy, although deep down she knew it was something she did not feel like digging up.
It was just weird though. . .it felt like she knew Harry before, or at least was supposed to. She just couldn't shake the feeling like this was meant to happen, that he was meant to show up on her couch or something but as with many things she doesn't have a clue.
"I used your nifty little phone, and found a video store! I called and they said they had Molly Ringwald galore, so we just gotta go!" He drags her up from the bed, getting her standing, "I picked out your clothes for you."
"Are you sure you're from the 80's, 'cos you're giving me that 50's housewife feel." Y/N asks and Harry pouts his lips, frowning greatly at her.
"Bite me." He grumbles, pressing the hair from his face, "You're grumpy in the mornings too."
"I'm sorry. Not used to company so early." She apologizes, and she's surprised at how sincere it sounded. If anything Y/N was everything but sincere in the mornings, especially when she's woken up to go spend money on somebody who is not herself.
Harry grins again, bucking up and drawing her back in for a hug -- he really is an affectionate thing, "No worries! Still love you."
