I love when higher ups give me feedback that essentially boils down to "I have noticed that you have Autistic Traits" and I simply nod and say "correct" and then have to exert all of my willpower not to follow up with "that would be because of The Autism"

#my manager today was like 'you tend to get really locked onto something and give it lots of attention which is a great strength'#'but then you have a hard time switching tracks and put up some resistance when things need to change'#astute observation! that's monotropic thinking babey! lmao #to his credit he's maybe the first manager i've had who Didnt follow that up with 'ok well cut that out'#instead he proposed we just communicate more frequently so i have time to ask questions #and have time to adjust to change / clear up confusion #which is all i've ever wanted to happen. so like. radical thanks man #this is a funny post you can laugh #autism #cogs and wires #jan 2025
