Lumine recognized that look in the redhaired man's eyes. She could be just as stubborn at times, refusing to admit to her own weakness and trying to push through even when she has reached her physical limits.

"Don't." The Traveller spoke with a firm yet concerned tone, gently pressing one hand against his shoulder to keep him seated.

"You just stay there and rest, okay? I will take care of the rest. Then once I'm done, we'll take a look at your injuries."

Without waiting for an answer, she turned around and drew her sword, ready to face the last standing opponent. Diluc had already taken care of all of the weaker monsters, so it was just one Pyro Mage remaining. She had taken a couple of hits earlier, but her injuries were not as serious in comparsion, so she should be able to handle it on her own.

HE AT LEAST GIVES THE COURTESY OF READING IT — the way she has slid it over to him is odd, to say the least, & it makes him feel only slightly apprehensive about what comments must have been left. It is a pleasant surprise, in the end, when he notices that it has been filled out normally. Perhaps his expectations were too low considering some of the surveys he had received back.

( especially a particular one involving a particular nameless. )

Once he has finished reading it, he writes down a small note before sliding it back over & returning to the book he was reading — an old one about various ways of maintaining weapons. Whether it is to hone his body as one or to care for his sword remains unknown, albeit the latter is unlikely.

The note simply reads: I will join you next time you ask me to play a game with you. Is that what you want?

for all her complaining and insults, hook does really like natasha a lot. she's a warm, steady presence, a reliable adult who keeps her and the rest of the underworld safe. it's no small wonder that she'd begin to doze off as the doctor carries her.

ironically, it's natasha's amused voice that pulls her back just before she enters dreamland. "'m not fallin' asleep," she mumbles, muffled as her face rests against natasha's shoulder.
