thinking about pike's kitchen a lot lately. i know others have discussed why tos kirk's room would be smaller, but i imagine aos kirk's room to also be small despite technically being pike's enterprise given to him early. the reason being, due to the narada, the kelvinverse is more militarized and dark. basically like how the prime timeline got during the dominion war only sooner. so if aos kirk ever went to the snw universe and saw pikes room, he'd be surprised by how... not luxurious per say, maybe relaxed is a better word, it is compared to his enterprise which was built with more defensive/combat abilities in mind

i'd love to see Q appearing in devil's due
"oh picard. don't tell me you believe this woman could ever be as powerful as me. did you not notice her ship in orbit?"

What frustrates Q is that the woman Picard has fallen for is essentially a version of Q in female form. When Picard later accuses Q of being "devious and amoral and unreliable and irresponsible and definitely not to be trusted," Vash asks simply "Sound like someone you know?" and Picard has to concede that it does. In order to punish Picard for rejecting him in favor of a female and mortal (and hence inferior) version of himself, Q takes Vash away from him, again playing a calculated role, that of the victor in a heterosexual love triangle.

the way the klingon challenges data to b'aht qul and after all the pomp and circumstance data wins in half a second and immediately returns to work on his padd is hilarious

i really wanna see mirrorverse data and lore...
lore who has the ambition and rage and selfishness needed to succeed in the empire but couldn't overcome his caring and soft emotions. and so he was stored away as a defect and data was made in his place without those emotions, making him the ruthless and efficient soldier needed by the empire

geordi's reaction to finding leah brahms in his holoprogram was really gross. she told him she felt, justifiably, violated by the program and at first he tries to say it was just professional. but she counters with the sexual remarks said in the program and notes how he could have many other programs that she doesn't know about that go further. and in return, he tries to turn it on her and say she's the one with the problems. she's the one who has "accused, tried and convicted me without bothering to hear my side of it". he goes on to say, "I'm guilty of a terrible crime, Doctor. I offered you friendship." he completely gaslights and manipulates her and makes her out to be the bad guy instead of owning up to the program and offering a sincere apology. not to mention he never wanted friendship, his intentions with her were always romantic even when guinan warned him and she tried to gently turn him down at the dinner. it was only when she was married that he accepted her refusal.
and at the end of the episode she's the one that feels the need to apologize and change her behavior. for all that geordi was the main one to help barclay with his holodeck issues, he's not much different.
