I love the Kos-Mos sidequest in Xenoblade 2. Not just because I'm a big Xenosaga fan but the story is one of the better blade quests across 2. Kos-Mos is summoned by the party and fights against artificial blades, which are very similar to the Gnosis in concept of the quest.

We late meet Astelle, Zeke's cousin who grows attached to Kos-Mos on first sight. She is clearly meant to be Shion Uzuki's equivalent in the Xenoblade setting. We can see that due to her her design looking the same as Shion's as a child, as we see during Xenosaga 3.

The dynamic between Astelle and Zeke is pretty funny too. Zeke doesn't know how to handle her more direct and forceful personality, as well as being confused about how to handle her attachment towards him. It's pretty cute since I feel this is how Linka may act towards him also.

Astelle's dynamic with Kos-Mos is pretty cute too. It parallels their dynamic earlier in the series as well as Shion's more inquisitive nature. The quest is so fun as a Xenosaga fan and I love the way it expands onto Zeke's family in a cute way.
