A note on assortedseaglass’s future.

I began publishing work on tumblr to regain my love of writing.

The grind of doing it professionally, and as a freelancer, stripped it of the joy it can bring.

In doing so, I’ve have written more this year than the last few combined (some published, some just for me), and have gained a community of kind, inspiring, slightly insane, friends.

However, my last two published pieces, The Seamstress & The Sailor ch22 and the latest of Borne & Bound got only 68 and 75 notes respectively and it’s devastating.

I put so much of myself into these stories, my free time, my energy and enjoyment.

To receive so little back really hurts. It should be about my love for the craft, but writing is already a lonely enough pursuit without so little engagement. I’m pretty heartbroken.

I am going to write the requests in my ask box, but series are on hold indefinitely.

Maybe when Saltburn comes out I’ll write them again. Until then I’ll be reading, chatting and trying to find my love for writing again.
