The Late Afternoon Fright (Arno Dorian x Reader)

Character(s): Arno and Reader

Warnings: pregnancy, nervous reader

Summary: female reader, worried to tell her lover of what has happened and now is her chance to speak up.

A/N: Okay! So this was the last assassin’s creed fanfic that could find in my documents. Enjoy!

Masterlist

You knew what was going on and it worried you, sickness every morning and night, mood swings, and the feel of your stomach start to grow. It has been a month and still without your lover, Arno to know anything about it yet. The worries of him leaving you or get upset at you filled your thoughts and made it almost impossible for you to say it to him. But you knew you had to tell him, knowing that he’ll notice the feeling and sight of your bump that was beginning. 

One late afternoon you were in the cafe theatre as it was closing and people were walking out, making their goodbyes and exiting the place. Now was your chance to tell Arno....but how should you say it? Hi I’m pregnant with your child? Your mind went blank once you saw Arno walk in the cafe, you sitting at a booth with your hands sweating and shaking while you held them on the table. 

“Bonjour, Y/N. I see you are still here,” says the blue coated French assassin as he walked to you and sat on the other side of the table, his hands on top of yours. 

“Arno, I must tell you something....a bit of a life changer.” Your voice grew a bit shaky in nervousness while your eyes looked back into his brown eyes.

“You may tell me anything, cherie.” He grew a bit suspicious to your shaky voice, wondering what you had to say to him that was so much to be of a life changer.

“Arno I’m….I’m uh…” Come on. Say it. How hard is it to just say the two words to him? “I’m pregnant.” You mumbled the two words a little, lowering your head down at the table as you grew scared of what he will say to you. Arno was aghast by this, his mouth slightly opened in shock.

“When did this happen?”

“L-Last month,” you stuttered. Now you could feel your hands shake while your mind panics. You heard him get up from his spot...i-is he leaving? Is he gonna shout at you? You closed your eyes for the worse to come, but you were only to be greeted when you felt his touch on your wrist and a pulled into...a….a hug? His arms went around your waist and pulled you closer to his body so you were pressed up against him, and yet he didn’t seem to be tensed up but more relaxed and calm. Slowly your eyes open and looked up at him as he looked at you. “Y-you’re not mad?”

“I am only a little bit. Why didn’t you tell me this sooner?” His tone was calm and quiet, his face moving closer to yours.

“I was scared to tell you...I was worried that you would leave me.” He chuckled by this. What was so funny of what you said?

“I wouldn’t leave you, mon amour. I’ve actually wanted this with you. I was wondering what was taking so long.” His whispers in your ear, lips brushing up against it softly. The whispers made it more for your body to relax as you always enjoyed it when he did this and he knew it that you liked it very much. Soon after that he moved his head back, a hand on your cheek...then.

 Smooch! 

A very soft and passionate kiss on your lips he planted with a soft smile on both of your lips.

Connor runs into Malik’s book store and goes straight over to Haytham.

Connor:  Father! There you are.

Haytham: How did you find me here?

Connor:  Well, Jacob and Arno were selling maps to where the prominent members of society are making public appearances.

[Connor mildly starstruck turns to Altair, who is counting money in the register] 

Connor:  By the way, did you know that Michael Caine is down in Orange Julius as we speak? [Altair nods shows him a signed napkin.]

Connor [Serious turns back to his father]: Mom, wants you to come home, this 15 minutes of fame has gone to you head and she misses you.

The Future of Assassin’s Creed

Y’know, I was chatting with friends recently, and we were saying how one of the things that saddens us about Origins and Odyssey is the inability to replay missions/sequences.

Personally, I loved this feature in the older games, but it looks like Ubisoft has well and truly moved away from the ‘memory syncing’ way the animus worked, in favour of the new mission structure.

I guess we don’t really know what the future holds for the series, but on the Ubisoft forums recently there was a post asking our opinions on how we’d feel about new AC games having party members that fought alongside us...as well as more choices and deeper relationship systems - kind of moving the game mechanics to play more like Dragon Age, I guess.

I don’t know how to feel about this. I’ve played Dragon Age and Mass Effect and enjoyed them both, but I just can’t imagine the AC games feeling as focused if we had party members ‘out on the field’ with us - It would potentially make the games more heavily combat focused too, which is fine (I’m not saying Odyssey’s deeper combat is bad here!)...but not if you’re playing as an unseen, stealth-like assassin, surely?

I mean - I’m under no illusion that the series needed updating a little, and things were wearing thin for some fans, but what does everyone else think?

Do you like the idea of party members and future games being more combat focused, or do you wish for a deeper stealth system to return?

Do you think Ubi should have put AC on hold for a few years, and released Odyssey as a stand alone franchise that could have had its own sequels and spin offs? Or were you through with the old ways of playing and love the way the games are going?

How does everyone else feel about the way the series is changing? I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts ☺️

The funniest thing in the Anniversary Assasssin's creed video is when it shows Arno and says "Start a Revolution" as if Unity has anything to do with the French Revolution . You know who starts a Revolution ??? MY BOY CONNOR !!! He was robbed again off his screen time .

Hi! I was wondering if I could ask your opinion on something.

I know you’ve played an Assasssins Creed game, I’m not sure how many of them you’ve played (I only really know about the newer games), but I was wondering which of the Creed games you like the most.

There are three of the games that are currently on sell, and I wanted to give one a try. So I thought if I should ask for anyone’s opinion on the matter it should be you!

The ones I’m talking about are AC 3 and AC Black Flag+ AC Rogue.

Don’t feel pressure to answer this though! I know you’ve been under a lot of stress lately, so I don’t wanna put to much on you.

Omg hii! Yeah, haha, I’ve apparently made it my mission to play all the AC games for some reason (I am currently on a break from it but I’m getting there) although I’m not really playing them in order because... idk?

The games I have played so far are AC2, AC Black Flag, AC Unity, AC Syndicate, AC Origins, as well as ACC China (gonna try and get through the rest of the Ezio ones, maybe the other two Chronicles, and then jump into Odyssey and Valhalla. 3 and Rogue, Freedom Cry at a later time).

Anyways, since Black Flag is the only one out of the three that you mentioned that I have actually played so far, then it’s really the only one I say anything about. It’s absolutely worth it as it’s a really fun game! :)

Assassin's Creed Unity Radeon RX 580 Frame Performance 1440P

PT.2 of going game by game to see what needs to be remade. I am going to say right now there are a few given

1) options to play the game in the native language of the settings

2) have proper speakers in the English dub. So sorry Patrick Stewart, you getting to voice Chevalier won't work. Though you as Haytham Kenway would be a nice choice.

3) any game that had a spin off that spin off should get packaged with the game DLCs included so this also applies to The Ezio Trilogy.

Also with the Ezio Trilogy I had an idea for a "new game plus" when you play the game after completing it was history played out you get a quick time event to be able to throw one throwing knife to save either Giovanni, Federico or Pertuccio.

Assassin's Creed 3

Include Rogue and Liberation as part of the deal. And I don't honestly know what else that I didn't include above beyond maybe a new game plus where you have the option to talk down Haytham saving him and you both take down Lee together and that mission can end with escorting Haytham to the docks to greet Shay Cormac as he returns from business.

Black Flag

Not much to say here beyond maybe a new dlc where you can maybe catch rumors of another ship called the Black Pearl and her adventures. Ultimately finding them to be just rumors but are they truly?

Unity

Fix the bugs. The game was also broken where you could get insanely powerful gear very early on. No save that for a new game plus. Give players the chance to actually choose to completely destroy the Templars or spare the ones who worked with the Delesarres.

Syndicate

Re-work this so you can choose to play as either Jacob or Evie Frye the entire game. Take out from the main game the world war 2 stuff, have that as bonus content. As an Easter egg on the Evie side, in speaking with the Queen hear of her 13 year old "Watch Dog" with "One hell of a butler".

It’s a shame how badly programmed and unpolished Assasssin’s Creed Unity was at launch, because playing it now, years after release and multiple patches, it has a really compelling story and good characters (Arno is very likable).
