it always strikes me how AC went from being a story about two underground organizations fighting over the alleged fate of the world to a dramatic tragic opera about the sins of the father and how relying on tradition for answers will get you nowhere and that too often those who claim to be doing right are merely caught up in pomp and circumstance

Canon Information- Pieces of Eden
Tumblr media
A Piece of Eden is a type of sophisticated technology created by the Isu which reacts with the network of neurotransmitters engineered into human brains. With the notable exception of the Shrouds of Eden, the majority of the Pieces of Eden were designed for the primary purpose of mentally and physically controlling human thoughts, emotions, and behavior. They were, therefore, the main instrument by which the Isu forced the humans to serve as slaves.
The powers of the Pieces of Eden have mystified humanity over millennia, enough for them to conflate them with "magic" throughout history. The extinction of the Isu civilization following the Great Catastrophe only reinforced this, as memories of the Isu faded into legends and myths. (now that I'm thinking about it, even if the Isu were wiped out, its very highly unlikely that humans wouldn't also be wiped out in canon. Due to the humans and Isu sharing a society, but the lore never explains this.)
Since humans lack the technological expertise to reproduce these devices, they have long been the subject of innumerable conflicts between rival humans seeking them for their own ends. In particular, they are a central obsession of the Templar Order, which has devoted much of their resources to searching and seizing these artifacts in their quest for world domination. (no mention on how the assassins have become similarly obsessed? Hm)
Description
Although most classes of Pieces of Eden, such as the Apples and Staves of Eden, were utilized as tools by which humanity could be controlled, others deviated from this purpose. The Swords of Eden are primarily weapons capable of emitting energy blasts while the Shrouds of Eden are medical in nature, designed for healing even the most mortal of wounds. The diverse functions of the devices extend further: many are capable of bending the thoughts of one or more individuals to that of the user, projecting illusions or concealing the user's presence. The Precursor boxes, powered by other Pieces of Eden, can imprint the memories of its users onto others and decode examples of Isu script, like the Voynich manuscript. (which then begs the question, if the Isu were able to manipulate DNA in order to possess humans and also able to imprint memories: WHATS THE POINT OF THE ANIMUS THEN??? WHY IS IT STILL USED OR EVEN CONSIDERED IMPORTANT TO THE STORY? Why the FUCK did the games make it such a big deal that Desmond had such a high sync rate when they can *apparently* use someone else's blood to see the memories of their ancestors?)
Other functions are more mundane relative to modern human technology, such as the projection of holograms or the Crystal Skulls which act as long-distance communication devices, but these nevertheless appeared supernatural to ancient peoples. (so would zoom to a person living in the 1950s bro)
Since the end of the Isu civilization, these devices, appearing sporadically in the hands of humans, have acquired a status as legendary relics of phenomenal properties. Greatly eclipsing the technological level of human civilization, even into modern times, the Pieces of Eden bestow tremendous power over society to those who come to possess them. (and going mad is just a fun side effect to show off at parties, I guess? Odd how that literally never comes up in the story, but it was shown to happen over and over again in previous games, but ok. Oh! And don't forget it was previously established that only certain people could use them without going insane! Because the writers sure as shit did.)
Their employment has therefore had immense impacts on human history; some of the most influential leaders such as Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Mahatma Gandhi were aided by their use of a Piece of Eden. (???? wasn't there a whole codex page about how Altaïr felt conflicted at killing Genghis Khan once he realized that humans had the potential to do great harm to each other without the PoE? Becuase he didn't? Have one when Altaïr killed him? Or was that yet another retcon later on?)
Recognizing their significance, the Pieces of Eden have been at the forefront of the Templar Order's goals for centuries as they hope that by exploiting the artifacts, they could achieve their vision of a New World Order. The contest for the Pieces of Eden between the Templars and their archenemies, the Assassins, who traditionally seek to safeguard them, has been a hallmark of their millennia long war. (hey, remember when Desmond had that badass sequence where he raids the Abstergo base to save his dad, killing people left and right with his blades and apple of Eden? And no one said anything about the fact that he, an Assassin, used a PoE the same way templars do? And treated the event like it was insignificant? This girlie does!)
Characteristics and attributes
"This... piece of silver cast out Adam and Eve. It turned staves into snakes. Parted and closed the Red Sea. Eris used it to start the Trojan War; and with it, a poor carpenter turned water into wine."
Al Mualim, speaking to Altaïr about the Apple.
(?????? Did i miss something? When did he say this? No, fr, when did he ever say this? Am I just forgetting something? Did he say this in the novels? In revelations? Like, genuinely, when did he ever have an open and honest discussion with Altaïr about the PoEs?)
Amongst the greatest tools known to man, the Apples of Eden can control the human mind by interacting with a neurotransmitter located deep in the human brain. (and yet for some reason, there are so many different PoEs that have nothing to do with mind control...)
Other Pieces of Eden are capable of warping reality, creating illusions, ensuring total obedience and healing physical injuries.[1][2] (which only makes things more confusing when the lore claims the Isu couldn't change the past) Both Templars and the Assassins believe that the Pieces of Eden were responsible for many historical tales and miracles, such as the Parting of the Red Sea, the Trojan War, the miracles enacted by Jesus Christ, and the Biblical plagues that ravaged Egypt.[3] According to Dr. Álvaro Gramática, all Pieces of Eden are made of an unknown metal resembling gold or silver that Abstergo dubbed 'Pathorica'.[4]
Abilities of the Pieces
Some Pieces of Eden were known to interact with and change the passage of time, possibly creating paradoxes. Others were able to "speak" to those who wielded them, as was the case with Ezio Auditore, Perotto Calderon and Giovanni Borgia, who spoke with Ezio's Apple and the Shroud.[2][5]
When activated, Apples of Eden are capable of extending a pulse of energy that can drive those in the surrounding area to insanity and death. Doing so has a detrimental effect on the physical health of the wielder if they are unskilled in the Apples' use, but a capable user is not as easily afflicted.[6] Altaïr, for example, was able to use Apple #2 for a limited duration without adverse affects at age 92.[7] Using the Pieces' powers in short bursts can also minimize the negative effects dealt by the artifacts, though to what extent is unknown.[1]
Destruction of a Piece
Following the destruction of Apple of Eden #2 during an experiment at the Denver International Airport, the Templars found themselves in need of another artifact with similar properties. Seeking access to a map that indicated the location of all Pieces of Eden, Abstergo kidnapped Desmond Miles in order to view the memories of his ancestor, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. This would allow them to see the very same map that Altaïr discovered in 1191.[3]
Each of the Pieces of Eden contained a great deal of potential energy, and the destruction of one could cause an explosion on the scale of a nuclear blast. One such explosion occurred in 1908, in the region of Tunguska, Russia. The Imperial Sceptre, one of the Staves of Eden, was seemingly destroyed when Nikola Tesla fired at the Tunguska facility with his wireless electric weapon, attempting to strike a blow against the Templars.[1][3][8]
However, the blast failed to totally destroy the Staff, and at least one shard remained.[9] The Staff shard still possessed powers of mind control, as demonstrated by Grigori Rasputin. While he was in possession of the shard, he brainwashed Alexandra Feodorovna, the wife of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, as well as several disciples like Khioniya Guseva.[2]
Resistance
"I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. I KNOW WHAT YOU DID. I SAW HIM. HE HAD A METAL BALL. IT OPENED. THEY WENT CRAZY. SHOOTING. STABBING. TORE EACH OTHER TO PIECES. I KNOW IT WAS YOU PEOPLE. SAW THE LOGO. HEARD THE NAME. I'M GOING TO TELL. ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN. YOU'LL BE EXPOSED. THEY'LL KNOW THE TRUTH. AND THEN YOU WILL PAY. YOU CRAZY BASTARDS. YOU'LL PAY." ―An unidentified individual's e-mail to Dr. Warren Vidic.[src]
Altaïr deactivating an Apple
Although the Isu created humanity to be susceptible to the Pieces of Eden, eventual cross-breeding between them and their slaves led to the birth of a hybrid species. These new humans possessed some of the natural abilities of their creators and were free of the neurotransmitter necessary for the Pieces of Eden to control them.[1]
The first two known hybrids were Adam and Eve, who later stole one of the Apples of Eden and instigated the Human-Isu War.[1] Members of their lineage inherited these natural abilities and immunity to the Pieces, although the Pieces' ability to physically manipulate them remained.[3] These traits were passed down through generations to the likes of Altaïr, Ezio and Desmond.[1]
By the early 21st century, the Templars were aware that some humans were immune to the Pieces' mind control. On at least one occasion, Dr. Warren Vidic received an email from an individual unaffected by the Apple's power, who threatened to expose what they had seen when an Apple was used on others.[3] (this is also another thing i have issue with: is it only people who have Isu DNA that can resist? can anyone with a strong willpower resist? what makes one susceptible to them when literally anyone can use them, but some people go crazy)
Also, I want to go more into detail in a separate reblog simply because the apples of eden are the most retconned PoE with so many abilities that go against what they originally were described to be able to do.

I WILL TELL YOU WHAT NO ONE HAS TALKED ABOUT IN TERMS OF ASSASSINS CREED AND NATIVE TRIBES.
TRIBAL WARFARE. The fact that after settlers start to take more and more and more land and the Templar Assassin war bleeds into the Colonies. There are whole tribes that align themselves with either side and fight against one another when land ownership and stealing, and certain rights come into question. So as Tribes that hate each other go against each other, sometimes they will also sometimes carry sigils of either factions. And the best part is - the bigger tribes? No one knows if they ally themselves because at the heart of it, they fight for their people. And a lot of tribes have their hands forced, in the same way that the Mohawk was in ACIII, much to Connor’s ignorance.
(And there were likely MORE precursor items protected by said tribes, and were never fought over until the arrival of the Settlers.)

One of my favorite things ever is to imagine two vastly different medias being in the same universe, but they're just barely similar enough that they could conceivably be happening at the same time and just never interact

Personal Head Cannons - A Broken Eagle
Following the Boshin War's conclusion, the Assassins of Japan found themselves in a dire situation as the Templars, operating under the newly established Meiji government, aggressively pursued them. A significant number of those tasked with eradicating any vestiges of the Brotherhood were once themselves former Assassins who had grown disenchanted with their previous creed. As the Tokugawa Shogunate's rule came to an end, Leopold found himself in a precarious situation as the new government marked him as a wanted man. Both the Templars and former comrades whom he once called brothers were relentlessly pursuing him. The tumultuous events during the Bakumatsu period took a toll on him, leaving him emotionally shattered and uncertain about his next course of action. After successfully smuggling himself onboard a steamship out of Japan, Leopold eventually returned to France. Upon reaching his homeland, he made a decision he thought would never happen – to completely sever his ties with the Assassin's Creed. Haunted by the pain, death, and suffering that the conflict had wrought, he chose to relinquish everything associated with the Brotherhood, including his iconic robes and hidden blades. Leopold's heart was no longer willing to bear the burden of the Assassin's path, far removed from the shadowy world he once inhabited. As Leopold reflected upon the immense devastation caused by the never-ending conflict between the Assassins and Templars, he became acutely aware of the heavy toll it had taken on innocent lives throughout the centuries. Countless individuals had perished in the wake of this unrelenting war between the two factions, and he couldn't bear the thought of being complicit in perpetuating this tragic cycle any longer. He had enough, so he hands everything over to the council and choose to live out the rest of his days in quiet peace.

Sweet head cannons about different Assassin's Creed characters
Henry Green: This man knows his flowers and does he ever spoil you with them. Whether they're given directly or left around for you to find, they always have sweet meanings and divulge his feelings for you in beautiful, colorful, little ways.
A pink rose once you two have known each for a time, symbolizing his vow of love and his desire to grow old with you. His hand was slightly shaking when he gifted it to you before he spoke gently to you in Punjabi, before telling you that he loves you and wishes to marry you in English. You both shed tears of happiness when you got engaged. It would be years later but when you learn enough Punjabi you would realize that he had told you "I wish to spend the rest of my life with you".
I have a feeling that he remembers the small things. If you two are out to meet a contact for information or out collecting intelligence for the Brotherhood, and you come across a store window where a beautiful cameo is on display, when you express appreciation for it or make a comment about how beautiful it is, he will remember that. Say this is in January....this man will surprise you with it months later on your birthday.
Malik Al Sayf: The thing about Malik kissing you if you are an assassin vs if you're not an assassin is this...he wants to, but it can be tricky. If you are an assassin, he'll kiss you on the cheek the same way all assassins greet each other and bid you 'Safety and Peace' as he would normally do with his fellow assassins, as he doesn't want to give any headway to any rumors about you two. But it's complicated. If he doesn't kiss you then questions will be asked (by Altair OFC who else?) but if he does kiss you, he has to be careful to not be too quick - to seem as though he has a crush and is flustered/he can't stand you (which is NOT true as you are literally the only person, he CAN stand lol). Then there's also the kissing you for too long bc he'll seem romantically interested (OH BOY IS HE) but he can't reveal that as much as he wants to.
Have a feeling the man is an overthinker haha.
If this is before Al Mualim that is - afterward he'll kiss you without a care and if Altair says anything he'll threaten to throw a knife at him lol. If you're not an assassin though, why would he have reason to kiss you??? But you better believe that he'll come out of nowhere when you're minding your own business, whisk you off somewhere where you two can't be seen and kiss you breathless.
Haytham Kenway: He seems like the kind of lover to be gone a lot, but he really tries to make up for it when he comes home. He understands that gifts and surprises don't make up for his absence - although each gift sent is silent sincere apology - but even if he's not there he'll provide for you.
I don't know why...but something tells me that the man gets matching things for you two. If you're wearing a blue dress, he's wearing a suit in the same color and you two always look very dashing whether apart or together.
You could wake up one morning expecting another day at home, when Haytham has instructed the household to make a nice to go breakfast for you and then for the groom to take you horse riding so you can get out of the house for a little bit. With Templar protection of course he's not taking any chances. He may also arrange a day in Boston for you to go shopping and stay in the city to unwind for a bit.  Expect gifts to be delivered when he's away. He'll have a dress made for you and have it sent a week after he leaves with a sweet letter alongside it as well. A flower delivery a few days later. He even surprised you with a spaniel puppy once.

Hi, yes, Teacup?
YOU CAN'T JUST HIDE MICHAEL MYERS X DESMOND IN THE TAGS AND THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH IT XD
Cause, legitimately, such a pairing, no matter how much Crack it is, would lead to so much hilarity and misunderstandings
... Especially if it's in a Dead by Daylight AU cause Desmond in the Fog is it's own wild adventure to begin with (and I cannot remember if you talk about the possibility of Desmond in a DBD au or not and if you did then woops but otherwise-)
The post where I left these in the tags XD
#or the secret third option #michael myers x desmond miles #idk how that is even going to work #i was just trying to do my dailies for my gacha games please #assassin's creed #desmond miles #michael myers #halloween #Youtube
I personally think I got away with it. Nonny, you're the only one who called me out of this. (Why do I keep the crazier ideas in the tags? Because I like to XD)
I have not done any Dead by Daylight AU. I have played the game... like... a few minutes? I played it once, realized it had a similar gameplay as Identity V, and stopped after three more matches (I did not win a single one per usual in these types of game XD)
From @saberamane in the post above:
Personally, I'd love to read a Supernatural Serial Killer Desmond Miles vs Templars... ...with his lovers getting hot and bothered about his competence with killing...
Okay then. XD

An idea I've had for a while but imagine if the pieces of Eden caused marks or burns. Maybe like lines of runes or something. Basically the result of a PoE backfiring under the stress of the user.
Anyways.
Imagine Shay (maybe Haytham and Gist with him on the Morrigan) coming across someone covered in these runic burns floating in the middle of the ocean amongst the wreckage of a ship.
Bonus points if assassin.
Oooh I like your mind 😉
Masterlist 11
Shay
Given the immense survivor’s guilt he’s been facing since Lisbon, Shay is wholly sympathetic to your circumstance and is unintentionally watchful of your every move on the Morrigan
Haytham
He’s face to face with the source of power he’s been searching for and now he doesn’t know how his feelings are now that he’s met you. Could you be useful in his plans or does he find a potential ally/connection in you based off the experiences you’ve both had with the Brotherhood
Gist
He only knows of the centuries long Assassin vs Templar feud through second hand, but he still feels a twinge of sympathy to your predicament. Tries his best to be a friendly shoulder to you but also immensely loyal to Shay

Before I go on my little AC rant I just wanted to say how awesome it is to see another native woman whose an assassin’s creed fan! I rarely see other native people on this app period, but seeing someone else whose an AC fan is just amazing! You’re my favorite writer and I just love everything you write!
Anyway, man I really wish they would have showed or said something about Shay vs Ratonhnhaké:ton after Ratonhnhaké:ton basically destroyed the templars! Your posts have me thinking about Haytham and Shay sharing a platonic darling who is also Ratonhnhaké:ton’s romantic darling. You were probably already stuck with Haytham/Shay before Ratonhnhaké:ton found you during his hunt for the templars. He thinks constantly about how much he wants you away from the templars and safe with them while Haytham is forced to consider shipping you off with Shay somewhere to be kept safe. After Haytham’s death Ratonhnhaké:ton takes you in, but you know that Shay is still out there and will come back eventually. So you’re just stuck waiting around until he does and it probably pushes you a bit more into Ratonhnhaké:ton’s arms because of it. Idk i just really wanted to see a Shay/Ratonhnhaké:ton throw down 😫🥲
OMG. HIIIIII♡ I LITERALLY NEARLY CRIED WHEN I SAW THIS BUT YEAH, SAME, Shay isn't my absolute favorite character (his concept was interesting and the execution was not it) AND YEAH, NO, I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WOULD BE COOL IF WE GOT A SHAY AND CONNOR SHOWDOWN BUT WE NEVER DID.
But also, that is such a delicious idea omg. Maybe you were taken in by Haytham after he killed your assassin parents or maybe you just knew the things that the Templars were doing were wrong but either way, it wasn't like you could do much. Haytham saw something in you, felt a whole in his heart heal a little when he was around you, and then a fatherly love for you. Since Shay is obviously a Templar at this time, he absolutely adored you as well and he became something of an uncle, morally he wasn't any better than Haytham, but you eased the harshness of time within him and softened his hardened heart. He'd often write to you or when he went to visit Haytham, he'd bring back a gift from wherever he visited because absolutely loved your precious little smile. Then Haytham took you away to the colonies and it pained Shay not knowing how long it would be before you'd be back but he'd still write letters.
You meet Ratonhnhaké:ton when he was working with his dad, he feels embarassed for this but he genuinely does feel shy around you. You're just so mesmerizing and you smile a little when Haytham has to elbow him to introduce himself to you and you introduce yourself to him. Haytham isn't blind, when you must make camp for the night, he sees the way Ratonhnhaké:ton looks at you and the way you look at him. Maybe it was because he wasn't raised in a stuffy Templar upbringing like you or maybe it was the way he spoke, his ideals and his thoughts, Haytham watched bitterly and with confliction because on one hand, he cared for Ratonhnhaké:ton in his own way but you...he could see the wheels turning in your head as Ratonhnhaké:ton spoke, how his lessons and teachings were going out your ear as you listened to Ratonhnhaké:ton. He calls it an early night and makes sure you two get into your own separate tents and keeps watch. Haytham knew he needed the boy yet but he can't risk you getting any ideas and trying to leave him when he worked so hard to give you the best life you could possibly ask for. He writes a letter to Shay saying that he should come and take you back on his ship for a while until this whole war is over. In the morning when you all stop by town for supplies, he sends it.
While he's doing that, you and Ratonhnhaké:ton just wandering the streets, talking and cracking some funny jokes here and there. It's when you ask him if Connor is his real name that things get interesting.
"Connor is just easier to remember for most people. My birth name is hard to pronounce for some."
"Try me."
When he says his name, you struggle with the pronunciation only a little but after some practice tries, you finally get it right: "Ratonhnhaké:ton...I like it. Would you mind if I continued to call you that?"
"I would appreciate it deeply."
The way you say his name (his TRUE one) sends goosebumps down his spine, when Haytham comes back from a few errands and you once more ride horseback, you smile to yourself as Ratonhnhaké:ton rides behind you, his gaze that of a lovesick puppy. Then his eyes shift over to his father and they darken ever so slightly as the corners of his lips turn to a frown. He likes being with you, he can't deny it. You're so kind and sweet, so unfazed at the sight of blood and killing due being figuratively shackled to Haytham's side but so doting when he receives the smallest of cuts. You both knew that you were no Templar and there was no question that the only thing keeping you one was his father.
When he kills Haytham, you aren't sure what to feel, so you stand and feel nothing. Ratonhnhaké:ton knows he made a mistake but he can not take it back now. Two orphans walk out hand in hand as you agree in your head and heart to go with Ratonhnhaké:ton wherever he goes. Ratonhnhaké:ton also does end up taking Haytham's journal and learning more about his father, how many times you tried to escape or how many times you cried for your real parents, how you finally became the compliant and dearly beloved apprentice/child for Haytham eventually. Then he reads about the latest entry of how Haytham caught onto Ratonhnhaké:tons feelings-which Connor finds rather embarrassing and nearly puts the journal down to stop there because he thought he was doing well in hiding it-but then his eyes see a familiar name, "Shay".
He knows of him from Achilles, he knows of him because of the amount of blood he has on his hands, and when he tells you about how Haytham sent the letter, you smile sadly.
"I figured...I can leave if you wish me too."
"Why would I want you to do that?"
"Ratonhnhaké:ton"- he feels a certain giddiness in his heart when you say his name- "I am not worth the trouble."
He responds with a simple: "Yes, you are, and more..."
When Shay reaches the colonies again, he knows that something happened to Haytham when he didn't return a few other letters he sent. The one thing that is on his mind when Haytham is confirmed dead was you.
What happened to you?
Where are you?
Who took you?
Shay will look all over the colonies for you and bring you back "home", you know that much. Ratonhnhaké:ton would be daring him to try and take you from him. After getting to know Ratonhnhaké:ton and living life away from the Templars, when Shay DOES find you, you're quick to try and run to Ratonhnhaké:ton. Shay grabs your wrist and pulls you into a hug which you would've loved if it still didn't feel so suffocating now you had gotten a taste of freedom. When he tries to drag you away, Ratonhnhaké:ton defiantly emerges and grabs your other wrist, causing Shay to look him up and down but more importantly, it's the robes that he's wearing that cause him to scowl.
It would eventually lead to a duel, one where the future of your life will be determined and nothing will change it. Shay would kill without hesitation but Ratonhnhaké:ton is more than willing to do anything he can to keep you with him.

Balak Bullfrog Finds out
(Spoilers about the final episode)
2 panel comic below
Tumblr media
If you know about Ubisoft’s Renowned property Assassin’s Creed then you know that Balak Bullfrog is a part of the Brotherhood of Assassins. He is self-proclaimed to be the last member.
In Assassin’s Creed the Brotherhood of Assassins are en enemy organization to the Templar Order.
The Brotherhood upheld the goal of “Peace through Free Will” whereas the Templar Order enforced the goal of “Peace through Control”
Throughout History the Brotherhood fought against the Templar Order on the side of Revolution vs Tyranny.
It shouldn't have been a surprise that Eden was actually Templar Order
Bullfrog went along with Sarah Fisher because he saw their goals aligning (and also due to the bomb in his head but that’s besides the point I’m trying to make) because he could see someone also trying to do good against Eden’s purview.
So in the end of the season when it’s revealed that Sarah Fisher is a part of the Templar Order enforcing tyranny and bloodshed through it how do you think Bullfrog will feel finding that out?
Knowing that in the end he was used and his comrades were killed for the sake of an agenda that was his duty to fight AGAINST.
That she used him to enforce Tyranny and crush Free Will and Hope for the masses and place her in control and him to die as a pithy loose end.
How INFURIATING it is to know you were used to help actions and schemes that you had trained you whole life to protect from.
He’s not going to look upon Sarah with such a favorable eye anymore.

also like years later I can really appreciate the fact that Ubisoft made the one Assassin's Creed game with barely any Assassin's Creed elements, that I see AC fans complain isn't a real AC game, and making it about Ancient Greece because I do not like other AC games.
I've tried to play the Ezio trilogy and I hate the concept of the modern day stuff so much and the past stuff not being like "real" that I never could get into the games because I just bounced so hard off of it. I hate the Assassins vs Templars stuff. I hate the ancient aliens stuff. Valhalla was maybe even a little too much in that direction for me given that I never finished (though I did like it while I was playing I might revisit one day). I love stealth games so I should be into these but I can't stand the actual lore of the games.
but the one AC game that I can just easily brush aside and ignore all the concepts I hate because if they're there, they're barely there, is the one AC game that let's me play as a dyke in an era that I have been hyperfixated on since elementary school. Like maybe this isn't a "real" Assassin's Creed game, but that's why I like it and this game was a gift to me personally

It's really late but I have the last of the 4x4 AC insignia canvas series stencils cut out, these include:
AC 2, 2 Black Flag logo's, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage, Syndicate, Unity, and another rogue, they will be done in the coming days. I think I'm going to switch around the sets so they are more in order, I'm thinking something like this:
Set 1: Abstergo, Templar, Assassin logo
Set 2: Levant, Apple of Eden, Desmond
Set 3: Ac 2, brotherhood, and revelations
Set 4: AC 3 (colonial) and 2 black flag
Set 4: Both Rogue logo's, Unity, and Syndicate
Set 5: Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage
I'm kind of torn, because the ones I've used mica powder on are going to be more expensive as it's more expensive to create, but I'm not sure if anyone will buy those if they're separate, but putting them in a set will make the set more expensive...
What do you guys think? I'm trying to balance out pricing vs the time and cost it takes to make each one. I know for sure all of Ezio's will be mica powder as they're just too...intricate to outline in this size.

Another game and this one was very close! Same opponent as the Tyranid list I lost horribly to but it was my Black Templar list (every list I run is very slightly different as I try out slightly different stuff but i can give lists if anyone is interested) Vs Votann this time. First picture is after setup and scout moves. I went first and we're playing linchpin with search and destroy deployment and smoke and mirrors mission rule.
Tumblr media
I pushed forward aggressively first turn to get some good primary scoring turn 2, drew bad secondaries so didn't score many of them. Did no shooting and got pretty poor advances on all my guys so a few had to stay out in the open. I pushed my land raider forward because there were no tyrannofexes to threaten a one shot on it...
Tumblr media
...You may notice in the next picture that there is no longer a land raider. The Hekaton managed to get a sustained hit 2 on it with it's d6+6 damage shot and wounded with all of them... The one time I wasn't massively cagey with my land raider and fairly confident it won't blow up turn one and it does... Anyway, the show goes on and thankfully the rest of the shooting didn't wipe out any of my other units (he did get his 3 extra cp for the land raider being a judge target though). Not great secondary scoring for my opponent either set me up for a big turn of primary. Oh yeah, I also overwatched his little transport and got 3 hits on it with eradicators which was insane! Only got one wound but did max damage and it then suicided into my crusader squad.
Tumblr media
Turn two I got lots of primary and stupidly pulled my scouts off the objective they needed to hold so I wouldn't score it next turn, my opponent rapid ingressed his deep strike unit on to take my home objective (just out of frame) and I did some hiding with my now vulnerable sword bros. Was able to get some good secondary scoring this turn and still holding a fair few objectives if I can keep them for turn 3
Tumblr media
Very effective dispatching of my units on objectives turn 3 meant I was gonna have a turn of no primary. Sword bros survived and I rapid ingressed my reserve crusader squad to deal with the little guy terminators on my home. Thankfully the sword bros survived as my opponent focused my squads on objectives.
Tumblr media
My turn 3, got back onto some objectives and took my home back effectively. Got bring it down and was hoping to get both Hekatons after wounding the further one last turn. Unfortunately my eradicators did nothing that turn and my laser destroyer also whiffed leaving it on 7 wounds still after 2/3 6+ saves being made! (Might've been 5+, it was still very sad). The sword bros managed to make their charges to blow up the land fortress (with a reroll needed as they still both only just made their 6" charges, the crusaders made their 1" charge with double 6s though so don't worry about them). I should have consolidated into the other unit at this point and saved some CP for no escape (to stop them leaving combat) and armour of contempt but I felt like I needed the help with the land fortress so spent on on +1ap (Helbrecht ended up killing it without the help of his squad which was expected)
Tumblr media
Must've missed a picture as we were rushing to finish the game but the last few turns had my sword bros with Helbrecht shot to shit (hence why they shouldve moved to combat and no escaped). And my sword bros ran to the middle to get me primary for the last turn and finish off the Votann squad there who were currently scoring to get me assassinate as well
Tumblr media
We were both convinced the Votann couldn't catch up by the last turn but t was a lot closer than it seemed by the end, my sword bros failed every save so didn't get me any score turn 5 and I drew no secondaries I could score even after a redraw (apart from two from cleanse). A big 13 on primary for the last turn after my squad was wiped saw my opponent finish the game just two points behind me!
Tumblr media
Very close game, I thought it was all over for me with that turn one land raider death but I was able to keep scoring up despite that big hit early on. Feel like I still learn every game and hope I can rematch this list and eventually beat his nid list! Anywhere, here are the final results
