Okay, what's this "Silence and Duality" thingy? I know it's a fanfic but what is it?

It’s a fanfic I wrote! You can read it here. The general summary I used was:

“Children make mistakes, and the Sides were no exception when Thomas was young. They thought they were only protecting Thomas when they locked up the one who was hurting him, but now that he's out, they have to face he consequences of their decision.”

I can’t add too much about the plot without getting into spoiler territory (although my blog is riddled with SAD spoilers already) but if you do decide to read it I hope you like it!

Mortem pops his head out of the ceiling of a room, looking around curiously.

“...?”

“... yeah, not dealin’ with that.”

Edge rolls his eyes, "Fine. You can have half." He flicks a fry at the other, smirking.

Bass just scowled as the food hit his face, glaring at Edge. 

“Why the hell would I want soggy, day-old french fries? You dug those outta the freakin’ garbage! Eh-- no, no, kiddo, don’t eat that.”

Bass quickly pulled Viola out of arm’s reach from the fry, flicking it farther out of the way. Of course the little girl didn’t look too happy, frowning as she pulled on her daddy’s jacket. 

“But... dada! I want,” she insisted, pointing to the container. “Dada!”

“No, kiddo, you don’t need ‘em,” he countered, again detatching her hands. “Now look what ya did.” Bass glared at Edge. “She’s gonna be grumpy all afternoon. Thanks.”

The future is what you make it! Just remember, your supplies are limited. ((I freaked C out last night with a bunch of Nightvale quotes. XD))

See, that’s a pretty good one. I was expecting, like, something weird. Like, “mountains aren’t real” or, “angels don’t exist, but, if you see one, report it to the hooded figures in the dog park.”

Red pokes his head though a portal. He looks... almost mad. "P-Pandora, I need your help. S-Someone hurt Staff."

“Huh?!” he quickly turned to look from where he was watching TV in the living area, before quickly getting up, heading through the portal, and closing it behind them so that they could talk in private. “Who hurt my husband?!”

The edgy skeleton hadn’t seen the winged teen slip into their void through a subtle portal of his own. His strange eyes flashed mischievously as his hands wove their magic into the air above the door, preparing to make whoever walked through sound like they’d inhaled helium for an hour. With a snicker, the boy flapped his slim wings and vanished, waiting for his prey to walk into the room.

Kat begins the morning with a hasty walk of shame downstairs. He be begins to recall the night before, quickly facepalming himself. “Nope” he murmurs to himself, entering the kitchen, “Not even gonna bother overthinkin’ that one.” He pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind, and gathered ingredients to make breakfast. Figuring if he acted like nothing happened, everything would eventually be forgotten.
