A stranger come to her in this time all she knows her Father is in prison right now. So she doesn't know who he is. "What is it? I do not know you and I have no friends." She be a bit cold to the stranger. (Vera to Roye since December is the DL-6 Time in Ace Attorney Fandom)

Roye didn't believe his eyes, but there she was. Vera, a young woman he met before, someone who was close with, was now a child. He couldn't figure out what was going on, but for now, he paid his fullest attention to her.

So she didn't know him. Was it mere memory loss or is this a different reality entirely?

Vera was slightly blushing, wanting to give him happy new years kiss on the cheek. "Hm..." She was a bit nervous about it but she took her bravery and gave him a cheek kiss. "Happy new year, Roye!"

Spending tonight in his apartment with Vera was more than enough to satisfy him. After all, he preferred to do these sort of things privately instead of being in wide public. Standing at the balcony, the two were watching the fireworks from the city's plaza.

"It's a nice view from here, isn't it?" The hitman gently held her close, allowing her if she wanted to rest her head on his shoulder. "Happy New Year, Vera."
