I had been meaning to get back with you for awhile, now, but things have been a bit messy on my end. Is this what all you've been working on? A tavern? I didn't realize you were hoping to go about owning your own business. It's impressive, what you've set up here. I don't suppose you sell food in addition to drinks?

"Get... back with me...?" Chilchuck blinks, surprised by the man's familiarity with him despite never having seen him before. He thinks he'd remember a face like that. This must be someone who knows that other Chilchuck. What a social butterfly he must be.

"i'd certainly hope it's impressive, considering I've been running this place for nearly fifteen years now," he crosses his arms, feeling a burst of pride in his chest. He's worked damn hard to get where he is today, after all, he's allowed to feel good about it. "Running a guild doesn't pay the bills, and it's not as lucrative as dungeon delving is, but running a tavern involves you in the community more than dungeoneering will, that's for sure."

He offers the dwarf a short but comprehensive menu, a small magical seal in the corner similar to the water walking spell to prevent it from getting stained. A lot of the dishes are fish, thanks to Kahka Brud and the Island's main exports, but among the selection are also steaks, pies, burgers and sandwiches. "Here, take your pick. If you want substitutions you'll have to fork over an extra two gold to pay for the cook's emotional distress. I'm one of those real sensitive types, you see."

Marcille, you are aware of Falin's...condition as of now, yes? What with the chimera side of things returning? I just need to make sure-- I was quite surprised when I saw her for myself. I'm worried that things could be going on deeper than we know.

I've...seen it, yes. I'm guessing it's just lingering effects from her time as a chimera. With Thistle no longer being the dungeon lord, no longer possessing the same power he once had, and now being bedridden, I really doubt he's behind it. Last I knew, Thistle was trying to take up knitting.

Besides, even if it's in broken speech, Chimera Falin can still communicate. I'm sure she'll tell us if something is wrong or she needs help. With all of us on here, I know we can figure out a solution if it comes down to it. There's always strength in numbers and fortunately for us, we have the numbers right now.

I'll definitely keep an eye on her though. Just to be safe.

How many monster meat can you eat without puking?

I'm not sure! I've never tried... maybe we can make a monster-eating competition? That sounds like fun! What do you think, Senshi? I can get started on preparations right away!

[ SO distressed that you are not able to see my replies when they happen in your notifications, I think I ??? Somehow got shadowbanned right off the bat? I don't know! My partner was looking up the blog and couldn't easily get to it unless I sent them a link to it, but the blog isn't private or anything, and all of the visibility settings Should have it fine to look at...I am so sad about this I thought all of the other ask blogs were just annoyed by me and that's why they were ignoring my posts ;_; Do you have any idea what I should do to fix this? I made brownies, would you like some? I don’t bake often, and I wanna know if they’re actually good or if my family is just being nice.

Of course! I haven't had brownies in a long, long time due to how difficult it is to get your hands on cocoa underground, so it'd be nice to have some from someone I know. Let's have a taste.

I believe I remember hearing about you during our experience with the dungeon on Melini near the end of its life-- you have suffered quite greatly, from what I have heard. The removal of desire is something so different that any of the other spells or magics I've come across. However, I have been able to assist with some members of the Golden Kingdom experiencing similar afflictions by coaching them through learning new skills and savoring food that we make together. I don't suppose any of that would interest someone like you?

While a simple hearsay is not enough to truly comprehend the magnitude of pain of eaten desires, i appreciate how you are willing to help people who have been in a similar situation to mine. You might not fully understand the value of the work you are doing for these people, i thank you in their honor... I heard from king laios that you are a cook no? But I remembered awhile ago that you had promised Laios you would join us for a meal some time, and I figured I would ask what sort of foods you would be interested in for the dishes. I have to prepare ahead of time to gather ingredients, afterall.

It's Senshi, the dwarf that was apart of Laios' party during the dungeon excursion. It's been a while since we all were last together to speak, but I was hoping for your opinion on what sort of foods you might enjoy for a meal. I have hopes to attempt to put together a bit of a reunion meal of sorts for everyone to get together in the castle with, but we haven't gotten to know one another enough for me to know what dishes you like yet.

Also. Are you doing alright? Eating enough meals? I know it may sound a bit redundant, but you should consider taking some time to relax off and on. The kingdom won't fall apart for you or any of the other members of the castle taking a day or so as a break. You might just find it to help improve your ability to do all the work you've been involving yourself in.

Senshi! It's nice to hear from you! I've been wondering how you're doing, with your travels and all. I ... do have some meals from my hometown I could tell you about, if that's something you're interested in? There are only a good couple actual recipes I'm confident in as this isn't really .. my area of expertise, but if you're asking I can certainly try to explain the others I don't remember as well.

It's a recipe my mother used to make when I was young. I'm trying to replicate it but going off of just taste alone is difficult, given there's ... no written recipe I've been able to find. At least not in Melini. On top of that, I'm not the best cook ... So it's been a mess.

Hello, Anon! I've been alright! Taking care of myself, yes, though I did try and cook something the other day. You could imagine how that turned out, I'm sure. I'm planning to try again sometime soon as it was something kind of important to me.
