@pancetta
"Ah, you're..." Leonardo blinked, taking in her appearance. "Dio mio. Are you alright? You do not look very well at all."

Pancetta nodded understandingly. "Si. Well, until next time Leonardo." She gave him a quick hug. "Safety and peace, il mio amici." The assassin said, turning to disapear into the shadows.
"Safety and Peace." Leonardo hugged back, then watched as Pancetta disappeared into the shadows. Then he took a rather circuitous route to his workshop, sneaking into the courtyard and safely hiding himself in his workshop from Lucrezia's peering eyes. He could not deal with the Borgias today, no.

He smiled, looking down at Leonardo. "Ahaha, bene." He could feel the eagle on his head shift and sit down. "This is by far one of the strangest moments of my life." He said.
"I would imagine so," Leonardo smiled and stood up, stretching. "Mio dio! I am cramped and sore all over...I cannot imagine that it would be much better for you!"

Pan gave a small smile, looking into the eagle's golden eyes. "You are magnifico..." He said in awe. The assassin could only admire the eagle's beautiful feathers, not wanting to try and pet the bird of prey in worry of frightening it away.
Leonardo flinched as another cry came from the sky, a second eagle descending to perch, in turn, on Pan's head once more. "Well, this is getting rather interesting, isn't it, Pan?" He couldn't help but laugh again.

Pan leaned against the doorway, smiling. "Ciao, Leonardo." He said smoothly, not wearing his robes. (Just to be clear, he's not NAKED. I just realized how I worded that.)
Leonardo jumped at the sound of a stranger's voice. "Who --" he blinked, taking in the man's face. "...Pancetta?" His eyes widened. Blond hair, green eyes, the same scars-- "Dio mio. You've been turned into a man?"(( LOL XD ))

Goodbye. ((FEELS.))
(( this..this is no longer a drabble. Oh god. ))Leonardo's heart stopped as they fell through the air, his eyes stinging as the wind sang in their ears."No worries, Leonardo!" Pancetta laughed as the flowercart drew closer----and then they were suddenly lying on their backs, buried in soft red petals. Pancetta then dragged him out of the cart, and then they were running down the flagstone steps and across the bridge. Leonardo's heart soared. He was actually going to leave this place.There was a mechanical click far behind them then suddenly a quarrel bounced off the ground, too close upon their heels. Pancetta made some sort of motion with her hand and suddenly bolts were flying past them, taking down much of their pursuers. "Here, take him." Before Leonardo could protest, he was handed off to the pair of apprentices and Pancetta turned to face their pursuers.Leonardo kept on looking back past his shoulder even as the assassins took him further down the street. Pancetta seemed to have things in hand, her sword flashed and--He looked away as blood suddenly painted the ground, steaming. The assassins took him down an alleyway, then motioned him up the ladder. "We've taken out the archers around here," one of them said helpfully. "You will be quite safe, messer.""Ah, grazie." Leonardo hurried to the edge of the roof, desperate to see Pancetta. She was holding out well, there were men in armour lying on the ground in puddles of their own blood. She seemed to be safe. Leonardo sighed in relief.Suddenly a series of clicks sounded out from all around them. The assassins whirled around and Leonardo looked across to the opposing rooftops, and--Guardsmen stood, crossbows aimed at the master assassin.Where had they come from? The apprentices blanched and dispersed, but not before shoving him into a rooftop garden. Leonardo climbed out just as quickly as they had hidden him, just in time to see some of the archers fall. But not all of them.Pancetta looked up, having executed the last brute; then she saw the archers all across the rooftops, crossbows aimed.Her eyes flickered to Leonardo for a moment, then to her apprentices. Good old Bernardo, and Serpe, too. They would be fine.They would be fine without her.Leonardo's eyes met Pancetta's for a brief moment and his heart sank. There was an expression on her face that was much too serene--The quarrels whistled as they cut through the air and Leonardo had to cover his ears.Someone came back -- one of the apprentices -- and shoved him back into the rooftop garden before running off elsewhere; there were no more sounds of bolts flying past them, but instead the air was filled with the sharp sounds of steel on steel and wet gurgles as hidden blades found their way into their mark.Leonardo whimpered and curled up, hugging his knees. Pancetta...

If I had one night alone with you I'd probably end up staying up telling you some stories, and asking you how you became so well at what you do. And maybe play with Valentino. He's maraviglioso.
Ah, but I'd love to listen to your stories! Perhaps we would have some tea, as well.

She frowned, walking over and putting an arm around his shoulder. "Don't worry. If it bothers you that much maybe you should take the bracer off." The woman said, rubbing his shoulder. "It's nothing to be afraid of. Then again, this has been my life since I was a young teen.... So I can see why you're so jumpy." Pancetta said, green eyes peering at him.
"Ah...well, I have been an Assassin for a grand total of two hours," Leonardo smiled at her. "I think I should get this bracer off, as you have said."He reached for the clasps -- and tried to undo them in vain.Frowning, he pulled at the straps and tried to unbuckle the whole contraption but to no avail.

She frowned. "Ah... That's a shame." Pancetta released her hook blade, waving it at him slightly. "I really wish you were up to doing more assassin-y things. It would be fun." The woman said, turning over her hookblade in the light.
Leonardo shuddered. "I think the most assassin-y thing I would enjoy is freerunning -- and even then I am afraid of heights." He fidgeted with his bracer, yelping when he accidentally unsheathed his blade. "...perhaps I should take this off."

"So, Leonardo, you're an assassin? That's great!" She said, a huge smile on her face.
"Aie...er, Pancetta," Leonardo looked at her, holding his left arm out rather gingerly. "I don't know if it is such a good thing, given that I am not a violent person by nature."

She rumbled, making that same laughing noise again. "I noticed when I accidentally crashed the front door in. When I'm back to being normal I'll go ahead and fix it for you." The werewolf said, tilting it's head slightly in embarrassment.
Valentino purred. That would be nice. Rather difficult to sleep in peace when you have no door.But it is of no importance at the moment, he added. Nighttime is relatively safe around here. Will you be staying here during the day? Dawn is arriving soon.

She thought for a moment before dropping to all fours and settling like a dog would. "Si, I kill targets I'm hired to kill. Sometimes the assassins take matters into our own hands if a Templar agent gets too..." Pancetta paused. "Troublesome." The wolf rumbled, looking at the lion. "I'm curious. Normally being a human, what is it like being a lion?" The werewolf said, watching the large cat.
Ah, so you eliminate dangers. Valentino gave an approving look. You are cleaning up after the world. Very noble of you.As for myself...well, I do not do much, frankly speaking. Leonardo is kind enough to leave a blanket by a window so that I may sleep in the sun. But if there is ever an intruder in our house I will take care of it.(( I just had a headcanon moment for valentino circa ACB eue ))

[I'm using the M!A as much as I want. Sorry if I'm pestering you] At night, a low rumble of growling can be heard outside the workshop. Green eyes peer in from the window, an unidentified beast lumbering outside.
(( haha that's alright xD oh I also replied to our castello RP \o/ ))Leonardo whimpered and curled up tighter on the bed, Valentino laying a protective paw around him. The lion was very friendly, at least, but the thing that was outside...

*She mews back, almost saying "yes". Her paws poke at his hands, purring the entire time.*
"Ser Anon has been busy," he said, scooping her up into his arms. "First Altair, then Paola, then Viola...and now you? What am I to do with all you guys?"

{ I Promised. || Castel Sant'Angelo, Roma } [@ask-pancetta-m/closed rp]
Leonardo shuffled down the hallway, unwillingly tracing his steps back to his workshop. His whole body ached. If only Cesare would leave him alone...and yet he was constantly harangued by demands for pistole and cannoni and war machines. Once, he had refused; thankfully the bruise had not interfered too much with his work, but Cesare's threats of a blade shook him down to his very core. And so he complied with all of Cesare's requests. All of them. But he still had hope. If Ezio was alive, there was always hope that he would be able to meet him and pass on information, and even if Leonardo could not leave the castello perhaps Ezio could destroy Leonardo's handiwork in his stead. "...ciò che una sporca patetica bambina. Get up, Assassin!" Leonardo froze. Fragments of sentences, punctuated with mirthless laughter, floated out of the stairwell leading down to the dungeon. An Assassin in the dungeon...it couldn't be, could it? He flinched as he heard the crack of a whip, followed by a cry of pain. He had to go down there and see who it was. Swallowing down his fear, he cautiously made his way down the stairs, but he was crushed to find a guard in place. "Fottiti," the man hissed at him, narrowing his eyes. Leonardo all but scrambled back up the stairs; however, when he resumed his path to his workshop, it was with purpose and cold determination. For once, he could put his intelligence to good use. And he would throw himself wholeheartedly behind this effort. He strode into his workshop and locked the door. It was later at night when he slipped down to the dungeons once more, dressed in darker clothes and lacking his cape. Leonardo noted with satisfaction that the guard slept, slack-jawed and snoring against the wall. The man had put on an air of disdain and contempt when Leonardo had offered him a bottle of wine 'for his good service to the Borgias', but he had not missed the thirsty gleam in his eyes. Leonardo had not been sure if the sedative he had concocted would take effect properly, so he had taken the extra measure of caution by generously emptying the entire mixture into the wine. Though given that the guard had drunk the entire bottle, perhaps it was unnecessary. Leonardo hurried down into the dungeons, peering as best as he could into each cell, straining to hear some sign of life from beyond the bars. As he reached the last cell, his heart sank. Was he too late? This cell seemed to be empty as well- A low moan escaped from within. Leonardo's heart leapt. So the Assassin was still alive. Quickly, he knelt by the bars, eager to see who it was. But when he saw blonde hair stained pink with blood, and a familiar face, his blood ran cold. "...Pancetta?"
