Question One: Oscar, I have a couple that are friends that drive me crazy. Every time they see me, they tell me their same sad story repeatedly. I am tired of it but I really care about them what do I do? How do I help them? Answer: When you love and respect yourself more, you will make clear to them that you have heard their story enough. They need to work on a solution. You are going to love them enough to work it out. When they want to see you and you are available you will work them in provided they understand their feel sorry for me story will get no airtime. Question Two: Oscar, I have these outrageous and incredible thoughts coming in my head. Sometimes they seem to want me to do things I would never do. Why is this happening to me? I am afraid of these thoughts. Help me! Answer: I understand your feelings. Most of us have had thoughts like that pass through our heads. Here is what you must understand. These thoughts are like radio and tv channels you do not want to watch. When you get what you do not want, you change stations or change channels. Know this. It is one thing to discover a thought in our minds that we would never intentionally think. It is another to attach to them and be afraid we act on them. Three course of action are available to you 1. Know that you are not you thoughts. You are your actions. 2. Place a rubber band on your left wrist. Whenever thoughts come, snap you wrist with the rubber band and feel the sting. This will help you disassociate from the thought. 3. When the thoughts come, immediately exhale as hard as you can as if to blow them away from you. These three interventions should work. If you feel your situation becomes worse, let’s talk one on one more. #olove #askoscartuesdays #askmequestions#sadstory #feelsorry #questionsandanswers #askquestions #runnngscared #scaredofthedark#dontbeafraid #inquire #askmeanything #notafraid #askbelievereceive #askquestions #fears #quiz#fearfactor #intrusivethoughts #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthmatters #problemsolving #selflovefirst#selflovetips #selfloveclub #selflovejourney#selfhelpbook #selfhelptools  (at Mesa, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtNaZEpB9VW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1a1tggcjjy6sp

It is Ask Oscar Tuesday and I am answering two questions today that two asked me over the past week. 1. Oscar, I read in one of your posts that you speak woman. I am a woman. I never heard anybody say that. What does that even mean? 2. Oscar, I never read anything from you where you are encouraging or building up men. Don’t you care about men? SPEAKING WOMAN On speaking woman, women tend to want more information in communication than men want. Ask a man if he took his family out to eat over the weekend and he answers, “Yes.” Communication ends. Ask a woman where she took her family out to eat over the weekend and you will likely hear something like this. She says, “After we talked about where we wanted to go, we decided we would go to the GameHub. It is a new place over on Malibu with sports bar, restaurant, and games for all ages. We all loved it. “Dale and I had barbecue ribs. The sauce was to a sweet and tangy happy mouth. The kids had burgers and fries and could not wait to get to the games. We watched the games while the kids played games. “It is a beautiful place. The layout is like a raceway. The kids were in car races on machines and on an indoor trace. Take the family. You will have a good time.” The point here is women generally provide more information and expect more information in communication.  I am a communicator. I serve women in my work. Speaking woman is important. CARE ABOUT MEN I will answer 2 first. Strongmen and strong women influenced my worldview. I recognized that men honor life and themselves asserting their gifts, skills and talents to build a better world for women and children. I committed to be part of that. I care about men. My best buds are likeminded men. Did you notice the numbers of words I used to refer to women and to men? Thanks for your questions. Let’s do it against next Tuesday. #olove #askoscartuesdays#askmequestions#speakingwoman #communications#questionsandanswers #askquestions #communicate#inquiry #inquire #askmeanything #ispeakwoman#askbelievereceive #askquestions #examine #quiz#examiner #interrogation #confidence#query #problemsolving #investigate#requests #requested #explorers#researcher #inquisition #p (at Mesa, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsouWf9hyzM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=19vrnan03add9
