How do you take such beautiful and stunning selfies? What is your secret?

Thank you! Honestly, the secret is lighting and angles. I watched a lot of Top Model growing up so like I know the whole find your light and angles from that. I generally have my ring light on me at all times, and then the two led lights on either side of me for the color effects. I also have 2 softboxes that I've used in the past but they didn't survive the move :P. But yeah lighting is everything.

Okay but Luci I’m a femme the same age as you are, and have known I am one for over a decade and i whole heartedly agree with you. I love butch/femme Tumblr, dont get me wrong, but the way the early 20 somethings talk about it and are somehow some of the most prevalent voices about our experiences… definitely feels a little weird! Some of them talk about experiences that feel pretty wildly unfamiliar in terms of butch femme dynamics and tbh I know I’m not the only older butch or femme that feels either weirded out by the insistence of their… expertise? I guess or the insistence that their experience of it is universal. There are so many ways to be what we are. Being an older butch or femme (over 30, lmao) on here can feel pretty alienating!

Its interesting how much the community has changed just in the 3 years I've been in it. And like like no disrespect to younger people at all like I said I know what I was like at that age. I very much felt I knew everything in the world. That's just what 20s are. But definitely like I don't know that there is a universal butch/femme thing because we all are different and want different things.

Like I do have a lot of friends in their mid to late 20s who I've learned a lot from in the butch/femme world... so it's not even just that specifically. I have however seen plenty of like drama and discourse that just makes me go yeah I'm not getting involved in this.

But thank you. I always want to make more femme friends who are my age.
