The World Tree

In the realm where legends dwell, A tale of ancient majesty I shall tell. Of Yggdrasil, the great World Tree, Whose roots and branches span eternally.

Deep within the cosmic core, Yggdrasil stands, forevermore. Its roots, they delve in realms below, Where secrets of the underworld glow.

Beneath the weight of mortal woes, Yggdrasil's trunk, resilient it grows. Its bark adorned with ancient runes, Whispering tales of forgotten moons.

High above, where heavens reside, Its branches stretch both far and wide. The constellations find their home, Within its celestial dome.

Each leaf, a brushstroke in the sky, Painting tales of heroes passing by. The wind's gentle touch, a lullaby, As Yggdrasil's leaves sing to the night sky.

Through its branches, birds take flight, Guided by its wisdom and ancient light. They soar through realms of endless dreams, Where magic dances in glistening streams.

Oh, Yggdrasil, guardian of lore, Keeper of knowledge, forevermore. Your presence binds the worlds as one, A tapestry where all tales are spun.

In the shelter of your mighty boughs, Seekers of wisdom find their vows. Through cycles of life and death's embrace, Yggdrasil stands, a beacon of grace.

So let us raise our voices high, And honor Yggdrasil in the sky. For within its embrace, we find our way, In the realm where legends stay.

Fandral quirks a blonde brow as he saw himself... again? "Hello...?" This one couldn't have been the one he has been speaking to as of late, or else he'd recognize him.

"My, My what a wonderful mirror!" But Fandral frowns, stroking his golden beard "Is this one of Loki's tricks?"

As I awoke this morning, what did i find, but a book of Poetry. Left with no evidence as to whom was both so kind as to leave a gift but also quite the lightfoot to have not awoken me. I am both flattered and somewhat preturbed Dear Admirer.

Anyone know of this Midgard "Poe?"

Ive begun reading a Midguard book I'd found recently, a Court of Thorns and Roses, no one spoil me for I am embroiled in Chapter 19, I rather enjoy this Lucien Character.

what inspired you to become swordsman?

If I said I wished to fight the good fight that probably wouldn't cover it eh?

It wouldn't be the entire truth anyway,

Truth be told I originally very much enjoyed swordsmanship, but it was hardly a hobby. However there was someone I wished to impress who saw it as a lifestyle.

While they eventually faded from my life the dedication that began as a trivial hobby grew to an extension of my being.

I've always wondered; are asgard's flowers as beautiful as I've heard, cause earth does have lovely flowers but I bet they're nothing compared to Asgard's beauty

We share many similar floura & fauna between our worlds, however, we do have several varieties midguard does lack.

For example, the Dawnbearer. This flower collects and cups the sun as it rises. If you happen to be near one at dawn, gently tilt the petaled cup to your lips. Sometimes they hold just enough of the sun's rays for a morning sip.

What names would you like to give your children? ( I see you as a responsable and affective father ☺️)

I should perhaps be someday, time will tell one supposes.

Ive always been rather fond of Osmond, and Roslyn, but truly I should like the other half of the lineage to have the most input, or at least approve of it. Contention over names feels like it might last as it's a near constant reminder, one assumes. 🤔

the literal whiplash I got from seeing a post notification from this blog after almost 10 years was so wild but im super excited that you're back!!

I set the app to notify me whenever you posted, back when i originally followed in middle school lmao

I am so glad you are still around old friend! So few of us left from the near decade ago, it is good to see everything here making a comeback. Nature is healing, as they say.

Coming back after so long, and to be remembered is melting my heart a bit. I hope the years have been kind and your table and cup full!

A Poem I once wrote from within my hiding spot:

Yggdrasil,

It's branches are long and reach for the sky,

A reminder of life's never-ending cycle, never to die.

Its roots stretch deep down into the ground,

Where ancient knowledge, secrets, and wisdom can be found.

Its branches, roots, and leaves sit in peace,

A reminder of how our lives are intertwined and never cease.

....

As you can see I am no word Smith to speak of, though I do enjoy a good Flyt when it is available.

Dear Fandral. I usually wonder what do you think about love... Have you ever fall in love with someone or have a secret crush that you're never confessed?

Though comfortable in romancing, I must confess my secret is that I fall just a little bit in love with every friend I make.

It can be as small as wondering what it would be like to slip my hand into theirs and take a stroll along a garden path and spend the day murmuring to each other in the shade of a tree.

It can be subtle, the way they turn a page while reading, or a particular smile that crosses their face.

I am truly a hopeless romantic, in that I feel a twinge of this crush you speak of for nearly every person I come to know.

Dear Fandral. What do you like to do on your free time? Did you have a special place or a secret hobby?

My free time is usually occupied by the odd bit of training or good book I wish to curl up with. Somedays I also enjoy writing poetry dedicated to the interesting individuals I meet and fall just a tiny bit in love with.

If I wish to be truly alone, I have a special knot hole I've located in Ydrasil the world tree, just below the Bifrost. Truly a hidden spot, as I don't believe even the Squirrel Ratatoskr has yet found it.

Once there and truly alone, I sometimes sing. I know! Truly Embarrassing.

I'm sure I sound like a coin in a cauldron on the back of a goat, but I enjoy myself, and no one else has to suffer it.
