Pharmacist/Me = 1 🏆 Doctor/Nursing Staff = 0
Thank you in advance for reading this rant. I’ve been really frustrated and just needed to get this off my chest, and today at least I had a wonderful knight in a white lab coat. 🩺❤️‍🩹🥽🥼💪🏻
Content warnings and squicky squicks: (further down there is) an image of a medical vial with a clipped image of a more benign part of a syringe, health conditions (endometriosis, fibromyalgia), menstrual cycles and associated terms such as bleeding and other things, lack of empathy in my specific healthcare system, hysterectomies, pain, swearing and losing patience. Most important warning: self-administered syringes and injection discussions of legal medications (Depo-Provera) approved of by professionals and properly researched. P.S. this may sound rather Karen-like but I would never do this to someone’s face. Online ranting and acknowledging where I could do better is not the same as screaming in public for bossy requests or comps, etc. Ew.
Another ‘warning’… pharmacists being kick-ass allies and giving a damn about their patients.
I’m really annoyed because (and I know healthcare and scheduling is a clusterfuck right now, but…) for over a month now I’ve been trying to get an appointment in person to get this injectable medication that is, yes, birth control, but is also used for endometriosis in my case. And I have severe endometriosis (exacerbated severely by fibromyalgia, siiiiigh) to the point I bleed enough and lose so much I have to go to the hospital when my care is not properly preventative… like in this case, and the pain is unbelievably severe also to the point I’ve spent time in the hospital, including my 11th Christmas Eve and Day. I started this injectable medication at 13 because it was the only thing that came close to helping reduce my endometrial tissue. Even a hysterectomy wouldn’t help as much, unless they decided to go the super invasive route and remove all the organs (or parts of them) that had become ‘infected’ by the tissue. Again, tissue where it’s not supposed to be, and it causes extreme pain as the tissue tries to flush out of my body each period, even if it’s attached to, like, my pancreas. Just no. That does not work at all. No. That is not fun.
SO. I’m 31, nearing 32, and the doctor’s office knows this. I’ve had the same doctor since I was 10. Been on this medication nearly non-stop for just shy of two decades (with appropriate precautions such as bone density tests) because of the absolute severity of the pain and my inability to function when it hits… which can be months at a time of non-stop bleeding and morning sickness-level nausea and vomiting, migraines and the occasional complete inability to move—in other words, it’s debilitating.
My doctor (even the nurses, as it’s in large print at the top of my file in the system) knows all about this. They’re supposed to call me if I’m overdue by a certain margin (I get they’re busy but months and months???). But my doc’s also a bit of an airhead (albeit a smart one when he focuses) and takes forever to reply to anything on time, even when it’s a severe issue, but not severe enough to go to the hospital. But it’s gotten to the point where the nurses say to go to the ER and then the ER nurses and doctors there get SUPER pissed off (AT ME AND SOMEHOW NOT AT MY DOCTOR/NURSES AND THEIR ORDERS) at the ‘waste of time’, and it’s just a clusterfuck.
Oh yeah, and that ER visit while I was overdue for my injection? Internal intestinal bleeding along with a lovely, even if small, perforation in my fucking uterus from the growth of endometrial tissue. I MEAN COME ON — WHAT IN THE HELL. Totally preventable if they fit me in when I called literally over a month ago.
But I will not change my doctor (the other docs at the practice know what is going on and have offered to take me on, but they don’t have the experience with myself and my conditions or the history, but they can do little else because of professional conduct—it’s between myself and my doc) because he is the only one who treats me with humanity and understands fibromyalgia, endometriosis, pre-MS and pre-RhA/PsA, endo-related IBS, (ulcerative) colitis, and other neurological conditions with any degree of empathy. (See, I told you I’m a mess!) There is no way I’m switching offices in the perpetual shortage of doctors in Canada moving elsewhere for m o n e y (plus Covid-19 being a teen hooligan and constantly coming back to wreck more goddamn shit, including everyone’s sanity, then setting things on fire like the real hooligans in my village have been doing this summer — I mean… what in the hell!?!?), so with all that in mind I actually thank my lucky stars. So I put up with a lot of this shit because he treats me, besides him being an airhead, like an actual human being deserving of compassion and care and quality of life despite my severe disabilities and pain. So.
I’m usually treated really well (even if they often think I’m a nuisance for daring to be severely chronically ill/in pain all the time) so I try to be patient and good and understanding when I can.
But his STAFF (I know they’re busy and I’ve been patient but they’ve been so awful honestly to the point I cried hard enough my dad noticed my red eyes and frustration-tear fracks on my face)! And the doc himself’s inability to reply to notes on time even when urgent and when he knows the circumstances (I admit I am a bit of a hard patient so I can understand if he just kinda ignores me sometimes, honestly). But in this case I was THREE DAMN MONTHS LATE for my injection and they’ve always called in the past when I was coming due if it looked like I hadn’t scheduled an injection, so that I was all on time and squared away and didn’t risk severe pain and damage to my already-fucked hormonal system (learning I couldn’t have kids was absolutely heartbreaking, let me tell you, but even a hysterectomy in that case would solve nothing — this is by far the easiest option, especially considering how my fibromyalgia would fuck with my post-surgery recovery and leave me with lasting pain for years if not decades; sigh).
Anyway. So. After some ridiculous levels of back and forth and some truly remarkable levels of lack of compassion (she kept giving me the exact same, word for word response in a bored tone UGH) considering the severe pain I was in (I was told, in front of OTHER PATIENTS AND STAFF, that I could just wait until I talk to the doctor myself at my next phone appointment and then schedule my injection for my next MONTHLY followup — 4.5 months overdue at that point, it would’ve been — because, and I quote, ‘am used to dealing with pain because of my fibromyalgia and years of dealing with it and other conditions’ which they named in front of others!!!!!!!! what. the. fuck. But I kept my cool because I know all these people, my mom taught their kids music, they’re a fixture of the community, etc. and I refuse to be a Karen…. At least externally.
But here comes the nice part that makes me love our new (okay, he’s been here like 5 years but still, in a small town that’s pretty new lmao) pharmacist that much more. Rasik was aware of my frustration with the doctor and nurses and was even the one who brought to my attention that, at the time, I was 2 months late for my injection and he was a bit concerned since he’s privy to how much pain I exist in without throwing in one or more knives directly into my womb, ovaries, tummy, hips, and other areas my endometrial tissue has taken root. He’s such a sweetheart and he really does care for his patients— the work he does with my father’s diabetes (the tricky one where you’re not obese) management is above and beyond the call of a pharmacist and I will forever be grateful for that alone, never mind how he cares for me.
So I went in today to pick up another medication, after yet another frustrating stop-over at the nurses’ desks, and he suggested I ask for my injectable medication (it’s Depo-Provera, by the way) and the syringe plus the two tips necessary — I’m actually familiar with this since I had to learn epinephrine injections from an early age (not Epipen) and how to give testosterone daily to my ex-husband (sorry not sorry, dude, but congrats on your first kid *grouchy thumbs up*). But yeah! Legally he’s not allowed to suggest I give it to myself, but he was getting super fed up with the nurses and doctors dragging their feet and ‘being assholes with little empathy’ in his own words, so I took the hint and requested my vial plus syringe, as well as the drawing and injection gauge needles…. which he gleefully filled for me, and I reiterated that it was ‘fully my idea, not yours, Rasik, because everyone knows I’m dumb and would never think it’s you if something happened’ (I’m not dumb and I’ve given injections to others many times looool).
Tumblr media
Long story short: HERE’S TO PHARMACISTS AROUND THE WORLD, BEING AMAZING AND CARING FOR THEIR PATIENTS AND ‘BENDING BUT NOT REALLY BENDING’ THE RULES TO MAKE SURE THEIR CLIENTS ARE CARED FOR PROPERLY. They are amazing and deserve every last bit of your courtesy, especially when they pull double duty every. single. day. because of Covid and their subsequent boosters. (i.e. boosters in the form of humans who are fucking stupid if they have no medical reason not to get the vaccine… I mean JFC.)
Rasik? You are amazing and I am 100% going to find you some Indian-Canadian (or North Indian; I believe that’s where he’s from originally) treats or desserts or make some myself after slyly asking his assistant what he leans toward liking.
Be kind to one another, yeah, but… my goodness: be kind to those who can truly make a difference in your health, sanity, and even life or death.
Pharmacists, volunteers, and frontline health workers: the true heroes of these times.
Thank you so much. So very much.
💜💙🇨🇦👨🏽‍⚕️❤️‍🩹🙏🏻
P.S. … now I just gotta stab myself intramuscularly after making sure there’s no air bubbles and etc., and swap out to the proper gauge needle (different, smaller, to draw from the vial, larger to inject so that it goes in more quickly and, oddly enough, hurts less haha). I don’t think air bubbles are as much of an issue as when injecting intravenously (ummm I have a doctor uncle and grandma nurse and nurse friends, so shush 😆). But I’ve done this for others and animals so I should be good! :)
I’m a smart enough cookie even if I’ve lost a few nibble-size pieces around the edges. 😉😘 buahaha
Cheers to my pharmacist!!!! You are amazing and I can’t wait for the pain and months and months of bleeding to settle down.
Remind me again why humans are the only mammals (animals?) with monthly fluxes? UGH wtf ever. 🙃

Some Covid-19 Vaccine Info: what to expect
So some disclaimers:
I’m only going to talk about vaccination in America- sorry to the rest of the world but I don’t know enough about the vaccination process in other countries to talk about them
I’m not a doctor or nurse or otherwise medical professional, I am however someone who’s related to multiple doctors/nurses, used to work in a nursing home and got vaccinated while working there, am currently working for a company that facilitates clinical trials, and just did my basic online research. If I get something wrong, please correct me!
CW for obvious medical talk, nothing graphic or gore-y though, mentions of needles and whatnot but again nothing bad
Under the cut!
When am I going to get my vaccine?
This will vary state-by-state, check your state’s rules, you’ll likely find what you need by a quick google search(ex. “Vaccination eligibility in [state/county/town]” or something like that)
The most vulnerable are put at highest priority: for example- those 75+, those who work at or live in nursing homes, those who work in hospitals, those who are immunocompromised, etc. After that will be those as somewhat high risk, this will vary state by state but could include: grocery store workers, teachers, and other employees who come in contact with many people for their job, those 50+, etc. After those are vaccinated, it will slowly open to the general public: most likely depending on both your age and where you work/go to school. The less at risk you are for getting/transmitting covid, the longer it will be.
As of this post(March 16, 2021), children are not permitted by the FDA to get the vaccine. Pfizer’s vaccine is approved for ages 16+, while Moderna’s and J&J’s vaccines are permitted for ages 18+. These companies are either planning to or are currently conducting vaccine trials in children, but it’s unknown when the vaccine(or a variant of the vaccine) will be available for children
The Three Vaccines
Pfizer was the first vaccine to be approved and distributed, and some basic info about it:
It comes in a series of two doses, 21 days apart
It’s dosage is 30micrograms of vaccine, and has a 95% efficacy rate(efficacy meaning in a group of people, there’s a 95% reduction of covid-19, more thorough definition here)
Used to need to be stored in -94 degrees Fahrenheit, which required special freezers, but recently, the FDA announced that the vaccine can be shipped and stored (for a two-week period only) at temperatures of normal pharmacy freezers, between -13 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit
After thawing, a vial of the Pfizer vaccine must be used within five days
Because of the above point, you’re more likely to find Pfizer doses in urban and less likely in rural areas due to the storage issues
Moderna was the second vaccine to be approved and distributed, and some basic info about it:
It comes in a series of 2 doses, 28 days apart
It’s dosage is 100 micrograms of vaccine, though hasn’t shown evidence of being any more effective than Pfizer’s vaccine
It has a 94.1% efficacy rate
Moderna’s is stable at fridge temperature for 30 days and at room temperature for 12 hours
Johnson and Johnson(J&J) was the third vaccine to be approved and distributed, and some basic info about it:
It is a one-dose only vaccine
They’re also testing a 2-dose vaccine, though the results from their trials will not be available until most likely May 2021
It has a 66% effective rate against moderate-to-severe symptoms of covid, but is 85% effective against severe disease
Because of this, J&J is working on a booster shot to increase the effectiveness of this vaccine, though its unknown when this booster will be ready(I believe this booster combined with the original is the 2-dose vaccine mentioned above, but don’t hold me to that)
J&J’s vaccine can be stored at room temperature (not to exceed 77 degrees Fahrenheit) for 12 hours when the vial hasn’t yet been punctured. After the first dose is withdrawn, the vial can be stored in a fridge for six hours or at room temperature for two hours.
The above means that this vaccine is encouraged for use in rural communities, where it’s difficult to store vaccines at extremely low temperatures and the travel times between small towns
While Moderna’s and Pfizer’s vaccines came out before many of the variants seen throughout the world, J&J was specifically testing with the variants
How do the vaccines work?
Both Pfizer and Moderna’s vaccines work on what’s known as a messenger RNA vaccine, or mRNA for short. To put it in simple terms, the way it works is as such: a harmless “spike protein” is injected into our bodies, this protein can also be found on covid-19 cells. When our immune system sees this protein, it recognizes it as something foreign that should not be there and starts making antibodies in order to fight off these proteins. Now that there is an immunity built up, whenever a covid-19 cell is now introduced to the body, the body already knows how to fight off the virus. (more detailed explanation here)
J&J’s vaccine works a bit differently, using what’s known as a Viral Vector Vaccine. How this works is as such: a modified version of a different (and harmless) virus, known as the vector, is introduced into the body. Much like the mRNA vaccine explained above, this cell has the same proteins on the exterior that covid cells have. Your body will build up antibodies to fight off this vector, so that once covid is introduced to your system, your immune system already has the built up defenses to fight it off (more detailed explanation here)
To put it as simply as possible: all 3 vaccines introduce a harmless substance in your body. Your body’s immune system then builds up a defense against this substance, and now that you have a defense built up, your body is now prepared to fight off covid-19 cells.
Do I have a choice on which vaccine I’ll get? Which one should I get if so?
Depending on your area and where you go to get the vaccine, you may not have a choice in which one you get. It’s more likely that you’ll get a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine if you’re in a more urban area, and it’s more likely that you’ll get a Moderna or J&J shot if you’re in a more rural area, but who knows.
If you do get a choice, however, there’s really no vaccine that’s considered the “best”. Pfizer’s and Moderna’s are so similar that the differences between them are basically pointless. If you have a choice between one of them and the J&J vaccine(or a choice between all 3), then that may make a difference due to J&J’s functioning so differently. Honestly, this will come down to what you think is best for you. Weigh the pros and cons of each, and make a decision on what you feel is the best option for you. It may come down to what supplies a clinic has for a day, I’m not sure, I didn’t get a choice in which vaccine I could get.
I cannot stress enough that none of these are the “wrong” decision if you get the choice. A vaccine is a vaccine at the end of the day.
What is herd immunity?
“Herd Immunity” is the concept that, when a large enough number of a population is immune to a disease, it prevents the disease from being able to spread. If one person gets covid, but everyone around them is immune, the virus will be unable to spread to anyone else. This concept is important because it protects at-risk people who can’t get the vaccine(children, pregnant people, etc). It’s important with dealing with vaccination numbers to remember the following: We don’t need to vaccinate everyone, we just need to vaccinate enough people. (source)
What about those adverse reactions?
There have been a small number of people who, after getting one of the mRNA vaccines(Pfizer and Moderna), have experienced anaphylaxis(a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction). There are 3 important things to keep in mind with this:
Anaphylaxis after COVID-19 vaccination is rare and occurred in approximately 2 to 5 people per million vaccinated in the United States based on events reported to VAERS. This is an extremely low percent.
There are medical professionals on site who are ready to treat someone who goes into anaphylaxis.
There’s no data on the exact numbers, but some of the reports of adverse reactions came from people who had a history of allergic reactions to other vaccines
If you have no history of allergic reactions to vaccines, you should be fine. If you DO have a history of such, consult with your doctor over risks and benefits, and bring an epipen or some other form of treatment in case of an emergency.
What can I expect when I go to get my vaccine?
The registration and check-in process will vary depending on the place you go, so I won’t try to guess what that will be like. As for the administration of the vaccine, it’s very quick and easy. They’ll ask for your arm, and it’s not required but recommended to give your non-dominant arm(since it’ll most likely be sore for a few days). The needle is very small, and only in your arm for about 5 seconds. I get very squeamish around needles, so if I could handle it just fine, so can you. A small bandaid because you might bleed a tiny bit, and you’re good. It’s like most muscle-injected vaccines, very simple and clean.
The CDC recommends that, because of the adverse reactions mentioned above, that you stay at the vaccine site for 15-30 minutes so the medical staff can monitor you. Cases of anaphylaxis occur within 30 minutes, so if you’re one of the extremely rare group who has a reaction, staff will be there to treat you effectively and immediately.
Setting up a second appointment, getting the record of vaccination, etc will vary depending on where you get your vaccine.
What side effects can I expect afterwards?
Side effects may vary from person, and there are some differences experienced by the different vaccines, but overall you can expect to have flu-like symptoms for a few days. If you’re getting a second dose, your side effects are likely to be worse after your second dose.
It’s a good sign if you’re having side effects! This means that your body is responding to the harmless mRNA or Vector explained above. By fighting these off, you’ll have flu-like symptoms, but in turn your body is building up the right defenses to be able to fight off covid. So don’t panic, side effects right after a vaccine means its working!
Common side effects either reported online or I’ve seen from talking to others who were vaccinated:
Fatigue
Headaches
Muscle soreness on the arm that was injected
Fever
Chills
Nausea
Soreness at the injection site
For the most part: taking it easy, drinking fluids, taking painkillers for any pains, etc should be enough to get you through it.
You may want to see a doctor if:
Your symptoms are getting worse, worringly-so(basically if your symptoms would make you see a doctor if you had the flu)
The redness or tenderness around the injection site gets worse after 24 hours
My personal experience after getting the Pfizer vaccine:
The first dose hit me harder than I expected. I had a light fever(didn’t get an exact temp but I was definitely feeling warm, I was most likely hovering below 100)
My god, was my arm SORE. I even drew a thing here. Definitely hurt to lift for a few days, but painkillers helped
Was more tired than usual for a few days, had trouble staying awake while working from home at my new job
Since the first dose hit me harder than I expected, I thought the second dose would’ve been awful, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Worse than the first, but not as bad as I was bracing for
The morning after, I woke up feeling mostly fine, but an hour later my temperature spiked to 100.4 and I felt like I was hit by a truck. I took some acetaminophen(pain killer/fever reducer) and within another hour or two jumped back down to 99.5. Kept that fever for a few days, but it never spiked that high again, so I was fine.
I had “brain fog”, which is pretty common with fevers, which is when you feel somewhat loopy, and have trouble concentrating/speaking/thinking as clearly as usual, since your body is so focused on building its immunity.
How long should I wait before my vaccine is fully effective?
Right now there isn’t enough data to give an accurate timeline on when a vaccine is effective, but it’s recommended to wait 2 weeks until after you get your second dose(or first dose if you got J&J) to consider yourself immune.
It’s important to note that the vaccines are proven effective against symptoms of covid-19, but as of right now, it’s possible that a vaccinated person can still have covid with no symptoms but still transmit the virus to others. One study conducted by the Israeli Health Ministry and Pfizer Inc. found that the vaccine reduced infection, including asymptomatic cases, by 89.4% and in symptomatic cases, by 93.7%(source). So while the evidence suggests this, it’s still important for those who were vaccinated to continue taking preventative measures such as masking up and social distancing.
Some More Sources
I’ve used this data throughout this post, so read up on these, and do your own research! The more informed we are, the better!
CDC Information on vaccination
FDA information on vaccination
Statnews comparison between the 3 vaccines(content warning: picture of a medical needle on the top of the article)
CDC: What to expect after getting a vaccine
TL;DR:
I recommend reading this whole post, but here are some key points in case you can’t:
Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines use the same method and there are very few differences between them
Each vaccine has pros and a couple cons, and you MAY have a choice in which you can get, but each is proven safe and effective against covid-19 in adults
Expect flu-like symptoms a few days after getting vaccinated: it’s not only normal and expected, but it’s a sign your vaccine is working

Jen's Nu Image Medical Review (Updated 2021)
Tumblr media
It's Nu Image Medical review day! I have purchased my own prescription Hcg and supplies from Nu Image Medical multiple times now, and thought I would share my full experience. Well, they remain my FAVORITE source for REAL prescription Hcg Injections, Drops and Tablets- with good reason. It has been quite some time since I last ordered from NI, and I must say, that over time, they have only improved on their speed and service, while still offering the best quality product available on the market today. Jen's Review of Nu Image Medical: My Honest Experience Buying HCG. Note: NU Image no longer sells hCG. However, you can find an hCG supplier here: My Diet Doc Review. Nu Image is a popular telemedicine company based in Florida, offering a complete Hcg weight loss program that comes with their Hcg kits. Their Hcg and all of their products are made in the USA, which I love. This way, I know it's genuine and made under FDA regulations for my safety. They are also renowned for their extremely high standards, which exceed those required by the FDA, and are the only Hcg supplier that actually works WITH the FDA to ensure this. As someone who greatly values safety and who has seen far too many cases of illness and bad reaction to cheap overseas Hcg, I salute Nu Image for their devotion and caring when it comes to their clients. Nu Image Medical Coupon Code: HDIVIP $150 Discount for Nu Image Medical Here See Current Nu Image Price     The Nu Image Ordering Process This company, has by far, become the most efficient source when it comes to ordering Hcg. I purchased from the link on the Buy Hcg Injections online page here, so that I would have the exact same experience as my readers. I opted for a 2 month supply (the price was a bargain compared to weight loss clinics) and selected several add-ons, including the Lipotropics and Vitamin B mixing solution. You don't have to order these, but personally, I love them and use them even when I am not on the diet. They offer great energy and I have far better results on the Hcg Diet when I include these. They offer injections, drops and pellets. I prefer injections myself so that is what I ordered for this round. It took me about 10 minutes to fill out the online health form after selecting my products. The form included your basic health inquiries; overall current health, current medications, past health history, etc. When I was finished filling out the form, I was presented with an option to "Enter the Nu Image waiting room" for an immediate video consult with the doctor. I opted for the second choice, which was to have the doctor call me. In about an hour, the doctor called. I was pleased this was a doctor and not a medical assistant. He introduced himself as the Nu Image Medical Doctor, and explained how the process went. He confirmed the same questions I had been asked on the online form, double-checking that I had no medication allergies, etc. After everything was complete, he said he would be approving my prescription for Hcg and that it would be shipped out the next day. The doctor also directed me to the online client support that had all the information about how to do the Hcg Diet before confirming everything that I wished to add to my order. He asked me if I had any further questions and wished me luck! Voila- such an easy process, yet I was very happy that I was actually being guided through the Hcg Diet under a real doctor's care. Even as an experienced Hcg Dieter, this still brought me comfort. Yet, I didn't have to wait for an appointment, make an office visit, go through my insurance, pay a copay, etc- it was all handled in less than a day, and for a smaller amount than my usual grocery bill for the month- I'll probably save money this month, in light of that! Nu Image Medical Processing & Shipping Time While Nu Image has always been known for their efficient processing and shipping time (mine was delivered in 5 business days,) they are certainly one of the fastest Hcg sources I have come across. Near-instant processing and approval, they have introduced a system that allows the doctor to immediately (or in some cases, shortly after) speak with the patient for approval. When I placed my order, there was an option to "enter the doctor's office" which was an instant video conference with the doctor for immediate approval. I also had the option to receive a phone call instead. Since my toddler had just woke, I needed a few minutes before I could speak with the doctor, and opted for the call. Sure enough, about an hour later, I received a call from the doctor himself, kindly explaining that he was the official Nu Image doctor, who would be handling my application process and prescribing the Hcg if suitable for my situation. He explained how the process worked; how he would be asking me a few basic questions about my health, including any past health concerns, and allergies or even genetic risks. While basic, it was still thorough enough to make me feel I was in good hands and under the care of a real doctor. At the end of the call, the doctor reviewed my order: 2 months of Hcg, and all the supplements I ordered. He explained in detail, that my order would include all necessary supplies and that my request for the Vitamin B and Bacteriostatic water to be pre-mixed was fine. (You can also request these to be separate but I think this way is simpler and I have great results with Vitamin B added.) As for Nu Image shipping time - I had my Hcg and all my necessary supplies in 5 days. Delivered to me, with a "signature required" hand-to-hand delivery. It was also delivered in a very nice, reusable, insulated box with a zipper and inserts for the vials. I have included a photo below. All in all, I was extremely impressed with the process and the way the doctor handled my case and explained everything. Much appreciated! See Current Nu Image Price What I received with my order from Nu Image I received individual vials of Hcg, unmixed. I received a liquid vial of my bacteriostatic water mixed with my Vitamin B, and all the correct syringes I would need. All vials had a valid prescription on the containers, with my name on them. I received the additional 6 Nu Image supplements I ordered, including Calcium Pyruvate, VitaBoost, StressStop, Digest-Cleanse, and JetFuel. I will wait to test these out after my first week on the diet. It was nice not to have to order anything separate from another source and for those new to the diet, I highly recommend getting your Hcg as a kit like this, so you can be certain you have everything you need, and the correct syringes, quality Hcg, etc. Nu Image Medical Coupon Code: HDIVIP See Nu Image Price Discount for Nu Image Medical Here Nu Image Client Support I couldn't very well offer a thorough review of Nu Image Medical, without trying their client support after ordering. On different occasions, I called to request direction and advice and both times, I was met with friendly and professional representatives. They keep a full business day's hours, Monday through Friday, and I was asked if I needed to speak with my doctor or if they could help me with something. I loved that I had access to the doctor if I needed him! Each time I called, their staff were extremely knowledgeable and more than capable of answering my questions, providing the resources and direction I needed. I was very happy with their customer service all the way around. My Nu Image Review Conclusion Nu Image Medical has surpassed all my review standards, and has once again become my 1st choice as an Hcg supplier. The quality of their Hcg continues to surpass even the standards set by the FDA. They understand that their clients want their orders processed fast, and shipped even quicker. As I said, my request was processed in the same day, and my interview with the doctor was shortly after I placed my order. I had my Hcg and all of my supplies delivered to my front door, in 5 days. That is by far, the fastest in the industry. I also greatly appreciated having the access to a medical doctor as well as staff that was familiar with the Hcg Diet and happy to answer all my questions. Overall, this has been a pleasant experience and I look forward to ordering from them again. Nu Image Review Update: I have lost 12 pounds in the first week using Nu Image Hcg and Lipo/B12! In two weeks, I have lost 18 pounds total. How to Order from Nu Image Medical with this coupon code is shown in the pic below. If you are having problems using their coupon code and getting the discount, here is my complete guide to Nu Image coupon code usage. Reviews and Testimonials from HDI readers... Having been confused by purchasing injections and mixing, etc, I saw an ad at the top of this post for a kit. Clicking through the links I eventually found myself at Hcg Diet Info and Nu Image Medical. Has anyone ordered from them? It looks incredibly easy to administer. For $249 you can get injections with B12 pre-mixed and all supplies. It's also made in the USA which I like and feel safer about. -BuhBub Hi BuhBub,I went with Nu Image Medical. It was the third place recommended on this website . for people who are new to injections and aren't comfortable ordering mixing supplies, syringes, etc. (the other 2 companies were Diet Doc and Riverfront MD). I got the 26-day kit for $262. The price on the website for first-time customers is $297, less a $50 discount from Hcg Diet Info plus Fed-Ex ground for $15. Total w/discount and shipping is $262. Much pricier than ordering from overseas, but almost half the cost of a local clinic run by an HCG doctor, and much safer. Plus, I feel confident the HCG is higher quality after my research. I paid extra for A.) the peace of mind, B.) to be able to speak to a doctor, C.) knowing it was real prescription RX hcg, D.) is made in the USA, and E.) I would have it in 2 days. My order came with: HCG - 1 vial powdered HCG 5000IUB12 - 1 vial of b12 to mix the hcg (cyanocobalamin 1000 mcg/ml 10 ML (I'm reading now that B12 isn't necessary but good for extra energy. Next time I will try buying some bacteriostati water to mix instead next time, from a local compounding pharmacy.) UPDATE: You can ask Nu Image to just send you bacteriostatic water to mix and they will. You will still get the B12 to inject separately if you choose.1 5ml mixing syringe 20 gauge 1 1/2" long1 package of 31-gauge 1/2 cc (.5m) U-100 insulin syringes 5/16" for daily subQ injections2 alcohol swabs to wipe the vial capsFull phone support for the first week, for mixing questions, etcA detailed HCG diet manual with tons of recipes for each 'phase' (downloadable PDF document).I ordered it on a Friday late afternoon, by filling out an online medical questionnaire. A doctor called me within an hour,to verify I was the patient and to ask a question about one of my medications. The prescription was filled on Monday, I got an email with an invoice, (see below) and tracking number. I had my order Tuesday morning, delivered by Fed Ex ground (I'm in Florida, and so is the Pharmacy). Someone must sign for the package. I received the vials in prescription bottles with my name and address on it, and the prescribing doctors name. All very up-and-up. If you went with Diet Doc hcg, I'm curious if you were happy with the experience. I would personally recommend Nu Image if you have not decided yet. My husband and I have been on the protocol since April 29th, he's down 19 pounds, I've lost 14lbs, after 13 days of the 500-calorie diet. After adjusting the dose up and down with some minor hunger issues, we are both feeling great, no desire to eat. We're ordering more so we can do a long round (40 days). Nu Image sells a 46-day program (two 5000iu vials plus double the supplies for 2 rounds) for $397. They have a link for refills, no doctor call or forms to fill out, except your credit card info (they don't store it). No, I'm not getting any referral bonus. That's my 2 cents, hope it helps. "I am not new to the hcg program and have had success in the past with a different provider. What sets Nu Image apart is that not only did I lose 20 lbs. in less than a month with your support, I am maintaining beautifully and even continuing to safely lose 2 weeks into phase 3. I truly appreciated your prompt response to all of my questions, and the recipe guide was a huge asset in getting me through this time around. I felt that Nu Image gave me not only the tools to lose initially, but the education required to continue this journey for years to come and keep it off.Thank you so much," ~ Stephanie S. "I have to write you an additional email. I am not easily impressed. I know that I wrote you last evening to tell you that your staff was great! I feel compelled to let you know they as well as yourself have seriously hit the ball out of the park. From A to Z. How refreshing to deal with such outstanding customer service in today's world. I can't thank you enough for all your help and the special pricing given this once for the additional Hcg..." ~Carolyn Not only are the pellets GREAT, but the way they call you!!! I had a question yesterday and got right to the nurse!!!!! Wonderful!!!!! I am on the third day of hcg pellets from nuimage and I am LOVING them. I can say i haven't been hungry only eating 500 calories for 3 days!!! GREAT QUALITY! This is my third round. 2nd was from escrow drops and I was hungry ALOT!!! Thank you thank you thank you for all your info!! You are VERY helpful!!! ~Cyndy D. "I just wanted to thank you for your help and support during my first round. Even with traveling a lot, a hectic schedule and battling hypothyroidism, I lost 42.5 lbs!! It may not seem like much compared to others, but for me it brings me one step closer to victory. I have a few more rounds to go and think that I will choose a shorter round next time around as my weight loss starting to slow down toward the end of this round. In any event, this has been the easiest and best experience that I have had with losing weight!! I will highly recommend your company and cannot thank you enough for your providing such a great product and offering such sound support. You are simply the best and I am eternally grateful:)" I. The Glowing Sea[sick]
A fic I wrote for @nyanshadowforce stimming from her post here. Lightly hinted Male Sole Survivor/Paladin Danse Danse and Nate go on a mission in the Glowing Sea. Danse thinks he will be fine without his power armor helmet. He is wrong.
Nate and Danse looked out over the Glowing Sea from their recon position. It looked… well, dead. No movement save the rare radscorpion and the kick of dust as a bolt of lightning struck the ground in the distance.
“We have about an hour before sunlight,” Paladin Danse said, lowering his night vision binoculars, a gift from Nate. “Then we’ll move out.”
“Are you sure we shouldn’t find you a power armor helmet first?” Nate moved to pick at the seam of his pants, a nervous habit from before he was frozen, then dropped his hand when he remembered the power armor encasing him.
“Negative.” Danse put the binoculars down carefully. “I appreciate your concern, Knight, but my power armor and the RadAway I’ve taken will protect me sufficiently from radiation.”
“If you say so.” Nate grinned when Danse cut him a pointed look. “If you say so, Sir.”
The Paladin made a soft noise that Nate took for approval.
Silence stretched for a few minutes, comfortable and welcome. Danse was a man of few words and Nate never minded, preferring to hear himself talk.
“Mission report,” Danse said expectantly.
“Collect several soil samples from the Glowing Sea to give to the science division to continue monitoring the effects of the radiation,” Nate prattled off immediately. His stomach flipped when Danse’s mouth twitched into something like a smile, but it was gone as soon as it had arrived.
“Outstanding.”
He hated the Glowing Sea.
When he had first unthawed and Preston told him about ground zero, he decided he wanted to see it for himself, up close and personal.
Preston had nearly busted a gasket when Nate entered his power armor, grabbed a handful of supplies, and announced that he was going to make the several day trek alone.
He had hated it then, the crater that had ended his world and started this new one, and he hated it even more now as he was bent as far as the power armor would allow him, scraping hardened dirt into test tubes.
This was ridiculous, but as long as it kept Danse happy it kept him happy.
Nate looked over at Danse and watching him make a slow 360 turn, rifle raised, making sure nothing would disturb them. His face was considerably paler than it had been when they had set out half an hour ago.
“D- Paladin Danse?”
“What is it, Knight?”
“Are you alright?”
Danse looked at him and nodded curtly.
“Fine, thank you. How many vials have you collected?”
Nate paused. The paladin was looking right at the ten tubes on the ground. He decided against saying anything. Maybe Danse just wanted to test his attention span. Again.
“Ten, sir. I’ll only need five more.” Nate moved as fast as the power armor allowed. He didn’t like how Danse looked, and he liked it even less when Danse began compulsively clearing his throat and losing track of what he was doing halfway through doing it. Nate noticed him squinting into the distance and flinching when a bolt of lightning streaked across the sky. Not very Paladin Danse of him. The man could face down a deathclaw with barely a twitch of his facial muscles, but flinched at lightning? No.
It took about five more minutes to scrape enough of the dirt to fill the five remaining vials. Danse did another quick 360, almost lost his balance, and started back to their recon position.
Neither of them talked as they walked back so when Danse broke the silence almost at the edge of the Glowing Sea Nate almost shot at him.
“Knight…” Danse turned to look at him, blinking rapidly, and Nate took a step towards him. Nate checked his Geiger counter. It had all but stopped clicking. “Nate, I’m… I don’t feel so…”
The ground shook as Danse hit the ground, crushing his rifle.
“Fuck!” Nate exited his power armor as fast as he could, almost falling in the process, and ran to Danse’s side. “Danse? Paladin Danse!” He slapped at the armor, hoping to rouse his commanding officer, but to no avail. “Shit. Pack. Where’s my pack?”
He retrieved a bottle of buffout from his pack, took two dry, and hefted the power armor onto its back when they took effect. As he took Danse’s pulse, weak too weak, he pressed the radio system on his Pip-Boy.
“This is Scribe Tara.”
“Scribe, this is Knight Lance, I need immediate medical evac from my position, my commanding officer, Paladin Danse, has passed out from overexposure to radiation in the Glowing Sea.”
There was the sound of clicking against a terminal keyboard and the Scribe cleared her throat.
“You’re at the edge of the Glowing Sea, correct?”
“Correct, yes.”
“We have a bird about five minutes from your location, Knight. Is the Paladin in his power armor?”
“Yes. Yes, he is, he doesn’t have his helmet, he forgot it in Sanctuary before we left.” Nate’s chest ached in a way he couldn’t quite place, and the edges of his vision were blurry, focused entirely on the man before him. “Is he gonna die? He can’t die.”
“Knight Lance, please remain calm. Try to get him on his side so that if he vomits it won’t constrict his airways.”
Of course. Nora had had to do that with him several times when he was sick.
Nora would know what to do. Nora was the soldier. Nate was the lawyer.
Nate pushed the Paladin onto his side, wincing when his rifle crunched pathetically, and Danse coughed almost immediately afterward, expelling the contents of his stomach. Nate tried his damnedest not to do the same.
“Come on, Danse, stay with me,” Nate said, rubbing at his back. He knew the Paladin couldn’t feel it through the armor, but he hoped it was the thought that counted. “You’re okay. You’re a tough guy, remember you always telling me ‘keep your chin up, soldier’? Come on. You can pull through.”
Danse mumbled something and vomited again in response. It was streaked red with blood and then Nate started panicking.
“Where’s the fucking bird? We need evac right now as in immediately, please! I don’t want to lose him! I can’t lose him, too.” He knew he was saying too much, but he couldn’t find it in himself to care.
“Knight, keep your cool,” the Scribe said, voice cracking uncertainly. “Please use one of your flares provided for you so that the vertibird can hone in on your exact location. It should be about two minutes out.”
Nate rustled around in his pack, tears blinding him, trying to find the correct flare. When he couldn’t he took a Minutemen flare, ignited it, and held it up to the sky.
One tense minute later during which Nate prayed to whatever God still roamed the wasteland, there was the drone of propellers coming towards them.
When it touched down and medics crowded out Nate didn’t know whether to kiss them or cuss them out for taking so long, so he stepped back and let them take care of Danse.
“Will he be okay?” he asked when one of the medics came close enough to hear him.
The medic smiled.
“It’s gonna take a lot more than some radiation poisoning to take out Paladin Danse, Knight Lance. It’s a good thing you called when you did, though, he should be fine.”
The ball of dread didn’t leave his stomach.
When they arrived at the Prydwen the medics moved Danse into the hospital wing quickly, ordering Nate into a separate station to be examined by a doctor. Nate tried to wave their concerns away, wanting every available person keeping Danse alive, even though they assured him that Danse was stable. They insisted that they look him over.
Besides a bit of dehydration, he was fine. They hooked him up to an IV and one of the nurses brought him reports on Danse whenever she could.
Two hours later she returned to tell Nate that Danse had woken up and that she had a bit of bad news.
“Blind?” Nate nearly screeched. He barely managed to keep his voice in check. “He’s blind?”
“Temporarily,” the nurse corrected him. “Exposing the retina directly to radstorm lightening has known damaging effects. They always fade with time, maybe a week or two depending on the severity and time of the exposure. Given that you were only there for a half hour, I would say he will be fit for duty again in a week.”
“How’s he taking it?”
The nurse glanced around and then grinned at Nate.
“All he has asked about since he woke is you.”
Nate hoped that the blush on his cheeks and neck isn’t as visible as it feels.
“When can I see him?”
“You can come on back now.” The nurse stood and pushed the curtain back to allow Nate to pass. She lead him to another bed on the far side of the hospital.
Danse was sitting up, still a little pale, with patches over his eyes. His head cocked to the side when they approached and he put down the cup of water in his hand.
“Knight Lance?”
“Yes, sir. How are you feeling?”
“I’m fine. Did you collect the vials?”
Nate smothered a laugh. Danse could have died and all he cared about were Nate and the damned vials of soil.
“Yes, sir. I gave the vials to one of the scribes to take to the science wing as soon as we arrived.”
A ghost of a smile tilted Danse’s lips and Nate had to bodily keep himself from kissing them.
“Outstanding.”
