You may find it interesting to know that the oldest recorded human was a woman who died a few days after her 112nd birthday. Our society does have a rather slow progression, though, to adress your question.

"Brainstorm... Hey..." Nautica gently places a servo on the mechs shoulder and slightly nudges him. It looked uncomfortable the way he had fallen asleep. Was he working on something? She knelt down beside the desk and gently pet his helm. "It's time to wake up."

Brainstorm was almost certainly working on something, but sometimes you just gotta crash. Is someone trying to wake him up? He won't notice it, because his processors are currently undergoing a rather heavy defrag. It's normal though, and he'll be fine in a few hours. As with all mechs though, it is possible to wake him up with an emergency or priority comm, or a really loud noise.
