Solanine

I've mentioned this before but her and Gortash had a........ how shall we call it, a relationship. This started as both of them attempting to manipulate the other, which led to like hatefucking, which then became a very confusing maybe partially genuine relationship? In short, they're fucked up

Both the night she was "found" by her original foster family and the night of baby's first murder spree were particularly stormy. Does this have anything to do with her being a storm sorcerer? Mayhaps ;)

Design-wise, I wanted her to be just as cliche edgy as possible, since I knew I was going to choose all the bad mean evil choices

If I had to choose one song from her playlist that is The song for her, it would be Good To Be Bad by CRMNL

Ardanthe

She was actually in Elturel during the Descent, and she obviously managed to survive it. Going through that is what pushed her to actually want to do more than just go through the motions

After Wyll is turned into a devil by Mizora, one of the things she does is actually create a balm for him to help with the new ache of having horns. It was the same one made for her by one of the druids in her enclave when she was having her own growing pains

The reason she is a tiefling druid is because she was the playthrough after Solanine's and I felt so horribly awful slaughtering the tieflings and druids in the grove that I was like well now I need to make up for that with someone who is part of both groups

Her one song would be I Lived by OneRepublic

Nazleni

She is the daughter of a saarebas (her mother) and a former Ben-Hassrath agent (her father), her mother ran away from the Qun and her father was sent to track her down and they eventually came to understand each other and fall in love. She's no stranger to living on the edge of society because of this

She has a very loud personality, and for some this can make it hard to become friends with her. On the flipside, once you DO become friends with her, she is ride or die

She was my first DA run in the entire trilogy where I actually played a warrior properly and it made me like the class a lot more than I previously did. It's still not my favorite but it was worth playing

Her one song would be One Woman Army by Porcelain Black

Maeve Divine

She actually did dance for a significant chunk of her childhood and adolescence, mostly to make her parents happy but she did enjoy it. Even though she hasn't formally danced in years, she's still does a little something something from time to time on stage

She has not dated anyone seriously since Seven. She's tried to, especially in the first year after their explosion, but no one made it past a few dates. After a few failed dates, she decided to just focus on music completely

Her main voice claim is Lzzy Hale from Halestorm (my beloved, I'm obsessed a little), but I've also used a combo of Addie Nicole from Halocene and Audra Miller from First to Eleven for her. Meanwhile, her stage look and demeanor is EXTREMELY HEAVILY inspired by Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides

Her main song would be Rockstar Everyday by Halflives

Okay SO dreadwolf was the old title for DA4, they just announced today that the veilguard is the NEW title so it’s still the fourth dragon age game just under a different title.

And yes I would definitely recommend playing the old games because each game builds on the others. It goes origins -> 2 (my personal favorite) -> inquisition. They’re on sale a lot on Steam with all the dlcs bc they’re older but it’s one of my favorite franchises and one of the franchises that got me BACK into RPGs and like many games it has its problems (many,,,,, many problems) but it will always have a special place in my heart
