dkjklsdf i just wanted to use that meme. it’s my favourite. but YES yes yes yes yes!!! and i think its so important to note that it comes from a place of emotional vulnerability and emotional attraction rather than just physical? it’s not like she went looking for him with that sole intention of ‘i want to have sex’ it was just where the conversation led? and it was equal in that way. this kind of intimacy that arises from vulnerability and this connection that they rekindled. its the first time she isn't forcing herself to have sex or kiss someone. it just happens naturally and yuh that part when he kisses her body always makes me 🥺 like good for her.

i tried to come up with a few:

when justin first started working at monets jess offered to be taste tester for all the drinks he practiced making. 

they have their timetables at school totally synched up so they have their designated wednesday make out session at exactly 10:51am in the arts supply closet every week

jess bought the Lover album the day it came out as a joke/gift for justin and he wouldn’t shut up about it, and started referring to himself as her ‘lover’ for a whole week

now that their relationship is official, jess’ first ‘couple activity’ for them was shopping bc she was sick of hearing about walmart

when they first started dating justin did everything he could to hide the fact that amber was an addict but when jess found out she took him out for ice cream and just let him rant about it for hours

the first time he ever came over to her house was to help babysit her brothers for the night and they would not stop asking him about his tattoos

jess working at the crestmont means that justin gets free movie tickets and in return jess gets free hot chocolates from monets

many nights of netflix and chill, minus the netflix and 10x the chill... except when the new season of brooklyn 99 comes out, then it’s all netflix and no chill

sheri set them up during summer school after jess told her she had a crush on justin after the winter formal

sheri was also the only one who knew they were secretly dating again because justin kept coming to her for the same advice jess was coming to her for.

jess refers to his longer hair in s2 as the ‘justin beiber’ look and he can never live it down... she doesn’t think its bad, she just thinks it’s funny

they both have a hard time going to parties anymore since the secret came out, so if they do go, they don’t stay long and usually just end up going out for dinner somewhere or to see a movie.

they watch queer eye together because justin thought jess would love karamo as the culture expert cause he helps people get to their inner selves but she ended up thirsting after antoni and jess insists that justin looks like him, except everyone he has asked disagrees. 

jess lied in 3x01, his “puppy dog eyes” have always worked on her and he has always used it to his advantage

their first date was to rosie’s diner, and when they got back together it was the first “date” they went on again, as a way of starting over.

Thanks! I wanna start by saying that I love that little fic thing you thought of. I honestly don't think Jesstin will be endgame because of two things: 1. The heroin, which I don't think Jessica knows about but even if she does, he's still on it even though he was saying that he was getting sober and 2. They are just IMO a generally toxic couple that would most likely never happen in real life and I think it would most definitely send a wrong message if the writers made them endgame.

I agree with what you said about Alex being more mad at Jessica but I could also see him being really mad at Justin too, especially after everything he's done for him (Giving him a place to stay, saving his life etc.) Also don't forget the fact that Alex has loved Jessica since the beginning when they broke up the first time and Justin literally dated her like 4 months after that so even though Justin didn't really do anything, this isn't technically the first time he's probably hurt him.

Lmaoo I'm the same anon but this thought literally just came to me gdjej so like what if the writers make Alex bisexual (because I definetly think he is) and like instead of making either Zalex or Justlex canon, they just make him like one of them but the other is straight so they don't like him back? I can see this happening more with Zalex but still, I'd feel so bad for Alex omg.

My answer:

I kind of ship Justin and Jessica but they wouldn't be my first (or second) choice. (I ship pretty much everyone with everyone, okay? LOL) I agree that Justin's heroin addiction would definitely get in the way of a relationship with her (or anyone.) I'm not sure I would say their relationship is toxic in general. I don't think it was when they started dating. It became toxic after Bryce raped Jessica. Considering that both of them have grown a lot since then, I think after the trial they could have started a healthy relationship. (Justin's drug problem aside.) The fact that they had sex like that, though, makes me think that they are (or should be) doomed as a couple. It would be such a messy way to start a relationship.

Oh, Alex is going to be super-mad at Justin. Let's not forget his "fuck Justin for coming back for Jessica" back in 2x06. There's a lot of history there. Which, by the way, is why I don't think Justlex is ever going to become canon. (But S3 could prove me wrong. Who knows what the writers have in mind after all?)

As far as I'm concerned, Alex is bisexual. In one of the flashbacks in 1x02, when he tells Jessica and Hannah that he's been put in remedial Math, Jessica says "I bet there's a hot troubled bad boy in remedial math. He broods, he wears leather, he's got a past he doesn't talk about and trouble with long division." She's one of his closest friends and she seems to think that he's into guys. Alex doesn't tell her he only likes girls (unless that's what he meant by "There's a couple of pregnant girls"?) which I would assume he would do if that was the case. Not because he would think being gay/bi is bad/shameful, but because it's kind of weird to let your best friends think you're gay/bi if you're not.

If he develops a crush on either Zach or Justin and they don't like him back that way, it would be heartbreaking. He deserves all the happiness in the world. ♥ However, it would also make for a great storyline and it would be very realistic. If done right, it could be sad but beautiful & insteresting. Honestly, I would love a one-sided Zalex storyline in S3, with Zach being super-nice about it, going out of his way to make sure he doesn't hurt Alex and telling Alex he really hopes they can still be friends because he cares about it and doesn't want to lose his friendship.

Do you really think they wont make Justin and Jess endgame?

was thinking about this on the train this morning bc that is what my life has become at this point. and i really don’t know tbh. the writers have put so much effort into getting them back together in s3, more than they have any other couple in the show. brandon and alisha have The Chemistry that it’d be a pity to waste by breaking them up in s4, unless they do it at the end. i’m still convinced that the only way they’ll not be endgame is by justin dying. the postcard says ‘i’ll always love you’ and i don’t think they could ever fall out of love at this point, and especially not so if we’re following the characters until their graduation from liberty. it’s not like them being endgame in the season necessarily means it’s endgame for the characters. you could easily headcanon that they break up after a year or something. BUT, while the ship is very popular as of s3, many people and the show itself recognises that it is a mildly toxic relationship with that history. no wait. petition that we just start referring to their relationship as tragic rather than toxic, bc toxic implies that they’re unknowingly hurting each other in the present, and treating each other like shit. and they're not. they didn't mean to hurt each other. it all depends on whether the writers put effort into redeeming their relationship. clarifying tape 9, exploring their ptsd, and letting them recover together. and on a positive, brandon and alisha were on set together for most of s4 filming so that is a good sign (unless they’re killing off justin in the final ep, which i don't even want to think about)

yes! of course! jess and justin have been officially dating since the summer. jessica calls him her boyfriend a few times in s3, and if you take note when their relationship comes out the terms they use are “public” and “we’re not a secret” which implies that they've always been officially dating, and this is also lowkey confirmed in ep 9 when justin says he cheated on her. you gotta be dating to cheat on someone. but yeah after that ending in s3 there is nothing to say they broke up. just that their relationship isn’t 100% unproblematic, they still have issues to work through.
