so I actually made a master post on my fitness IG @mayathefutureamazon (same name as this tumblr) that shows how I eat, what I do in general, and some cool exercises I do WITHOUT A GYM and WITHOUT EQUIPMENT!!!
Take a read if you...
• Are new to a fitness/ diet plan and don’t know where to start
• Need exercise ideas because gyms are closed
• Feel like quarantine is making it very difficult to even make a routine
• Want a post that’s as one-size-fite-all as it gets from someone who isn’t a licensed dietician or trainer lmao these are my personal tips and I feel like these are general guidelines
• Are intimidated by this fitness thing a lil! It’s okay :)

💪🏾Of course I use hella free weights and machines at the gym alone and sometimes with a spotter, and used to go everyday before lockdown. But now that all the gyms I went to are shut down for a bit I improvise, adapt, and overcome to get this done.
💪🏽Protein shakes/ weight gainers (3-4 scoops) with water, milk, or a dairy substitute are good post-workout, blended or shaken alone or with other ingredients such as oats + bananas in a shaker cup. I do that ONLY if I’m in a bind and don’t have a meal I can eat within the next 2 hours. They’re about $30 for a big ol tub of the powder stuff. Be prepared for chunks if you don’t blend the hell out of it. Like I said I prefer actual protein sources like beef & eggs. My insta post shall explain more.
💪 Preworkout is pretty awesome for if you feel rly tired and woke up on the wrong side of bed but still wanna have an awesome workout. I don’t take it right before cardio because it kinda scares me to have my heart beat so fast. Black coffee is a known bodybuilder favorite (I have a mug or 5 everyday) but be prepared to uh 💩. I’m not rly into laxatives at all besides the accidental ones I drink like coffee or green tea (which naturally keeps ya lean) and fit teas can be freakin’ dangerous. I know Kardashians and influencers really like to advertise those but I’m gonna just say STAY AWAY from those if your goals are to lose weight or stay lean. Cardio by itself is the way, I don’t believe in any “easy” ways out because you never know the complications, I’ve heard that shit burns your fucken intestines. Since I’m bulking and putting on muscle and fat efficiently as possible anyways I stay away from any “shredded” or “lean” preworkouts at the supplement store. Anything to that effect. So what do I use besides caffeine?
Optimum Nutrition’s GOLD STANDARD preworkout is awesome, tastes like super sweet pineapple, and I take it 25-40 minutes before I exercise. Or right before. 1/2 scoop is good if you’re 4’10 like me or 1 scoop goes a long way.

💪🏻NOTA BENE: the Internet is fantastic for other exercises. I do those because I love to always have something new and get bored super easily (& so does your body!!) and especially when you don’t have a gym full of machines. @gymsharktrain on IG is an account I refer to with plenty of people’s at-Home workout ideas (such as tips for perfecting a handstand if you’re wanting to work on a new skill). #athomeworkouts is a fabulous hashtag to check out on insta.

ahhh yes finally an opportunity has come to infodump on my tumblr ...
Here goes.
1) even though I wear makeup, have nails, and am pretty feminine, I also powerlift and bodybuild and grew up a tomboy. Fuck gender norms :)!!! My mom is also a bodybuilder and I wore a mf tie to school one time it was cool
2) I like always have mismatched socks, and the only time they really match is if they’re my lifting socks in a cute lil set LOL
