Alex, how did you deal with your children arguing so much? And can you see them again? Did they change after death?

Alex: To be honest, I don’t know myself. I just tried to keep them out of trouble.

I did get to see my sons, thankfully... but it wasn't how I wanted to see them, if that makes sense.

Also, they've surprisingly calmed down since then, and seem to treat each other better. Both boys are more clingy too, but I don't mind.

🌍 — knowledge of the world (all of them)

Thank you for the ask (and for the wait!) Answers below the cut, since this'll likely end up being a bit lengthy.

Rouena: knows quite a bit, both from books and personal experience! If there's something she doesn't know, she usually can find a way to learn it (assuming it's something that can be found in books, rare or otherwise!) She also has a fair bit of knowledge on secret lore, particularly occult-y stuff.

Ella: knows about as much as your average person in a fantasy setting would! For the most part, she relies on her own experience, as well as what she hears from those around her who are more well-traveled. While she's visited many of the large capital cities, much of the world outside of those is a mystery to her.

Fenva: knows very little! It's part and parcel of growing up in a -very- secluded tribe for her whole life; she's capable of being pretty much totally self-sufficient in her element, but still struggles with how to use gil and mixes up the names of the city-states. It's something she's actively working on changing. She's deceptively quick to learn, which has proven a huge help!

Ameline: knows only what she's read. She's been a bit of a shut-in for much of her life, and while she's a bit of a bookworm, it's not to the same degree as Rouena! So, while she tries to project a sophisticated sort of image, in truth she still has much to learn about the world. She's not well-traveled at all, knowing only the broad strokes.

David: Well, I had nothing to do that day. So my dad dragged me to the construction site he works at and told me to observe so I could 'consider working in architecture'. As if...

Tom was one of those guys in charge of keeping track of everything. I guess he thought I worked there? Or I was an important person. We talked for a while before I corrected him... turns out he has a lot of things in common! My dad knows him too, so that's cool.

I get that a lot, the age gap is big. But he's a nice guy, seriously.
