The snake slid through the forest with purpose, on his way to the manor hidden inside. Today he felt somewhat joyful knowing he'd be seeing a good friend today. Flavio finally found the manor and approached the door before knocking.

The door opened and Sükh's head popped out, slitted eyes narrowed until she saw who it was.

"Flavio? I wasn't expecting you today."

She smiled, opening the door and shifting aside, part of her tail coiling around her.

"Either way, it's a nice surprise, come in."

How do you figure the prices for your goods? Is it based solely on how long it takes to make them or the cost of the materials?

"Cost of materials, how hard the materials are to work with, time, and how much of my goods they want. A lot goes into the arrows and bows I make so the price fluctuates accordingly. Speaking of which, I actually need to go on a trip to get some specific materials for a client... I should talk to Jackie really quick and see about letting her stay with him while I'm gone."

Is there anything you miss about your old home? Would you ever consider going back?

The anima paused as he left the broken down house, turning back to take in its appearance yet again. Still old. Still broken.

"The only thing I miss are my parents. The house could burn for all I care. But it doesn't change that they're gone and have been gone for the last ten years."

He finally tore his gaze away from the structure and passed through the town. The kids ran past him playing some game, and the market was in full swing, a stark contrast from the crumbling house just a jog away.

"I dont really plan to come back except for one thing. One more place I must visit before going back to my actual home."

Any idea who could’ve attack you guys?

The book slsmmed shut. It's echo seemingly much louder in the musty house than it actually was. Flavio stared at the floor for just a moment as if contemplating the question before gently setting the journal back in its place.

"...He came late in the evening, that I remember. Admittedly, most of that night was a blur as I was the first to be attacked. I remember one of our windows shattering and being knocked to the floor with an arrow through my chest. I remember my mother screaming and trying to get me to respond and my father fighting the attacker. He didn't have time to grab a weapon and, unarmed, he had no chance against the sword he brought. My father was dead in the doorway."

"And then he came inside and I saw him. General Remus Leonetti. A man feared by all anima for his cruel treatment of us. At this point I... I couldn't keep my eyes open. I could only listen to what happened next. I didn't hear what the general said initially but I did hear my mother's response."

'Kill me. I don’t want to live in a world without my family.'

"I dont remember anything else beyond that. I woke up in someone else's house with my injury taken care of and the news that both my parents were gone."

What were your parents like?

The anima picked up a book in that room and flipped it open. While blurry and hard to make out he could see it was his mother's handwriting. A very welcome sight. "My mother was human. We didn't share much appearance wise except for our eyes. She placed a very high emphasis on education and made sure I knew how to read, write, and a lot of other stuff. We didn't have a lot of money so she had to get creative when teaching me whether she was using rocks for math or taking me into town to read whatever I could see. She was also very patient with the other townsfolk as they didn't trust her, being human and all."

"My father was an anima. I took mostly after him in appearance. He didn't share the same views as my mother when it came to education as he didn't have one himself. So we learned together and were on the same page in that case. He taught me what I could do as a snake anima at the multitude of milestones that marked when I was ready to know. Overall he was less serious than my mother and I played with him more with the various games unique to snakes, as far as I'm aware."

"I couldn't have asked for better parents... they loved each other and me the best they could. I just wish I could've spent more time with them."

What do you think happened to your home, Flavio?

"Abandonment." Flavio set the toy on a sagging table, probably due to the rain getting in. "It wasn't in the best condition when I lived here and the weather damage made all its faults that much worse."

He sighed and then entered another room. His parent's room. "And no one wants to live in a house with such a bad memory attatched to it."

How long has it been since you’ve been home? Why did you leave?

"It's been about ten years." The anima picked up an old toy, its original color now unrecognizable due to the dirt that had gotten in. "And I left because this was where my family was attacked. Where my parents were killed and I almost died."

As hurtful as this may bring, what is special about the place you grew up for you?

"It's... where I remember feeling most at home. After my parents were killed, my grandparents took me in. But there's this whole thing with my species of anima where at 12 you're supposed to be ready to fend for yourself. And they wouldn't see that I aged like a human child. So I was kicked out and on my own. A fletcher took me in for a few years while I learned the trade and then I left him. I didn't feel at home with my grandparents or the fletcher. And where I live now didn't really feel like home either." The anima's eyes glanced over to Veronyka's room. "Up until recently, that is."

what were your parents like?

"My... parents?"

The snake paused, his tail beginning to curl around him.

"I looked just like my father from what I remember. He was confident. An expert at selling. Fantastic at bringing others together for hunts and the like.

My mother was very different from us. She was human and I really only got my eyes from her appearance wise. But she was so kind to everyone and always assumed the best. She had a knack for picking up skills with ease, especially when it came to weapons.

Despite my dad being an anima and my mom being human they were one of the most loving parents anyone could ask for. They never made me feel out of place and made sure to spend time with me."

Flavio sighed and set his sunglasses aside.

"...I miss them."

Flavio do you think you'll ever be in a relationship? Are you even interested in finding a girl or boyfriend?

"That I don't know. I'm not exactly looking for anyone now or in the near future."

flavio have you met Remus before? You know, the human general.

"You could say I've met him. But I dont think he remembers meeting me. It'sa bit of a long story I'd rather not get into at the moment."

Flavio tell us of all the humans who do you hate most and why?

"While I have a general contempt to most humans, hate isn't exactly what I would describe my feeling for them. However. There's one human who I absolutely despise more than anything. General Remus Leonetti."

is it true that snake anima make a sssssss sound when trying to pronouce an S?

"Obviousssssssly no, we dont do anything of the sssssssort."

How would Flavio react if Nyka just called him papa one day?

"I'd be... uncomfortable. I took Veronyka in but that doesn't make me her dad. I'd much rather she called me by my actual name."

is there a reason lovino hates you? besides him just being a brat.

"Oh that may have stemmed from me banning him from my shop."

Anima's have more than one form right? can you make yourself have legs? Or is this as far as you can go looking human? What about full snake?

"I can make myself have legs. The fangs go away and most of my scales do, too, apart some black ones that I explain away as moles. My eyes don't change though so I hide them behind my sunglasses whenever I go into the human kingdom. As for full snake I can do that too, I'm a little smaller than others as a full snake due to my mother."
