MiraRae's Royal Tropes & Legacy Challenge (aka The Royalty Challenge)
Tumblr media
You can find the video where I go over the challenge and share images from my own attempt at the challenge here.
Here’s the overview, general rules, and cultural suggestions for your 10-generation Sims 4 royalty challenge. This challenge focuses on celebrating different cultures while allowing flexibility based on available packs and gameplay preferences.
Sims 4 Royalty Challenge Rules and Overview
Overview
No CC or mods required
This 10-generation challenge builds a diverse and culturally inspired royal legacy. Starting with Windenburg (or another world of your choosing), each generation introduces a new royal family and unique storyline, encouraging players to explore different cultures within The Sims 4. Packs are recommended to enrich gameplay but are adaptable based on availability.
Required and Optional Packs
Required: Get Famous and Get Together for fame, Windenburg, and the club system.
Optional (Choose at least 3-4 for added cultural depth):
Island Living (Sulani, Hawaiian-inspired)
Snowy Escape (Mt. Komorebi, East Asian-inspired)
High School Years (Copperdale, Native American-inspired) or Horse Ranch (Chestnut Ridge, Native American-inspired)
Wedding Stories (Tartosa, Spanish/Portuguese-inspired)
For Rent (Tomarang, Southeast Asian-inspired)
Love Struck (Enamorada, Latin American-inspired)
Life and Death (Ravenwood, Romania-inspired)
Note: If certain packs aren’t available, substitute suggested cultures/worlds with other packs/worlds you have available. You can also
Click here for a list of suggested cultural traditions and events for each kingdom
General Rules
Starting Funds: Each family begins with 1 million simoleons to simulate royal wealth. (type "money 0" then "money 1000000" in the cheats bar)
Weekly Stipend: The primary royal family receives $100K every Sunday (type "money 100000" in the cheats bar), symbolizing royal taxes or revenue. During the financial hardship generation, this stipend is suspended.
Fame Requirements: Each main family’s heir should ideally achieve "Global Superstar" fame before they take the throne, marking them as worthy in the eyes of their royal peers. If an heir ascends to the throne without this status, they face skepticism from other royals, who may question their worthiness. Use Mean interactions from other royals, such as Mock Celebrity Level or Insult, to show this tension.
Succession: If the reigning monarch dies, the heir immediately ascends the throne, regardless of whether they’ve reached "Global Superstar" or completed other personal goals. If this happens, the new monarch can still work to achieve "Global Superstar" while ruling but must endure the added challenge of earning respect from other kingdoms.
Marriage Dowries: Royal marriages bring in $200K, noble marriages bring in $100K (nobles must be descendants of other royal families), and no dowry is given for commoner marriages.
Interactions: Use Mean, Friendly, or Romance interactions as directed by each generation’s storyline to build relationships, rivalries, and romantic conflicts.
Click here for suggested titles by culture.
Generation Rules and Assigned Tropes with Clear Heir and Monarch Roles
Generation 1: Founding the Royal Line
Aspiration: Successful Lineage for the Windenburg king.
Trope: Establish alliances through arranged marriages.
Setup:
Create the Windenburg Royal Family: Start with a king and their spouse (either a queen, prince consort, or sovereign consort). Both should be young adults or adults. Assign the Successful Lineage aspiration to the king.
Enter Live Mode: Have the Windenburg royal couple conceive or adopt at least two children.
Raising the Heir:
Raise the children until they reach the child stage, focusing on building skills and preparing the heir for their future role.
Begin involving the children in clubs or other social events to start developing their social networks.
Introducing the Willow Creek Royal Family:
Once the Windenburg children reach the child stage, create a Willow Creek royal family with similarly-aged children. Set up a king and their spouse (either a queen, prince consort, or sovereign consort), who should also be young adults or adults. Assign the Successful Lineage aspiration to the Willow Creek king.
Arrange Friendships: Have the Windenburg and Willow Creek monarchs meet and develop a high friendship level to foster diplomatic trust.
Betrothal Arrangements:
Betroth the Windenburg heir to the second eldest Willow Creek child.
Betroth the younger Windenburg child to the Willow Creek heir, creating a dual alliance between the families.
Life Span and Succession:
Life Span: Playing on a short lifespan is recommended to help move the story along and set up future generations.
Succession: The Windenburg heir will ascend to the throne upon the current monarch’s death. To speed up this process, you may use cheats to arrange an early death for the monarch, allowing the heir to take over once the marriage alliances are secure.
Transition to Next Generation: The Windenburg heir becomes the new monarch after the current monarch’s death, with the Successful Lineage aspiration complete. This begins Generation 2.
Generation 2: The First Female Monarch
Aspiration: Renaissance Sim for the female heir, focusing on skill-building.
Trope: A female heir breaks tradition to rule.
New Royal Families: Create an Oasis Springs royal family with a supportive female or non-binary ruler.
Setup:
Heir Requirement: The current monarch from Generation 1 should only have daughters, or the oldest child should be a girl. If there are older boys, arrange accidental deaths when they are infants or toddlers using cheats so that the female heir is next in line.
Societal Challenge: Other royals and commoners, particularly from Willow Creek, may treat the female heir with less respect, creating added challenges. This represents societal resistance to a female ruler.
Heir’s Goals Before Ascending:
Alliance with Oasis Springs: Develop a strong relationship with her betrothed from the Oasis Springs royal family, whose monarch is supportive of a female heir.
Skill Development: Reach "Global Superstar" fame and max out three skills (suggested: Charisma, Logic, and Writing).
Proving Worth: Complete the Renaissance Sim aspiration to showcase her abilities. Unlike previous heirs, she does not need to maintain positive relationships widely, as her success is based on accomplishments rather than likability.
Monarch’s Goals:
Establish the female heir as a capable and skilled leader, respected for her talents rather than societal approval.
Transition to Next Generation: Once the heir becomes monarch, having completed her aspiration and skill goals, move on to Generation 3.
Generation 3: Sibling Rivalry
Aspiration: Leader of the Pack for both the eldest (heir) and younger sibling.
Trope: Sibling rivalry challenges succession.
New Royal Families: Add a Sulani royal family if Island Living is available.
Setup:
Family Requirement: The current monarch (from Generation 2) should have at least two children. The firstborn is designated as the heir.
Life Span: Play on short lifespan until the oldest child reaches their teen birthday, then switch to normal lifespan.
Sibling Rivalry:
From childhood, the younger sibling initiates Mean interactions with the heir to create rivalry and tension.
The younger sibling tries to gain favor with the monarch, using Friendly interactions to turn the monarch’s opinion against the heir.
Heir’s Goals Before Ascending:
Club Leadership: Both the heir and younger sibling should pursue the Leader of the Pack aspiration by forming a club with other royals. The heir must work to become the respected leader of this club, gaining influence and support.
Romantic Alliance: As teens, the heir must develop a romantic relationship with a royal from Sulani and secure a betrothal.
Proving Worthiness: Build friendships with the monarchs of Sulani, Oasis Springs, and Willow Creek to prove the heir’s diplomatic abilities.
Fame Requirement: The heir must reach "Global Superstar" fame before becoming a young adult to secure their position.
Monarch’s Goals:
Encourage unity among siblings while assessing their skills and alliances. The monarch will ultimately decide which child is worthy based on their accomplishments and relationships.
Consequences of Success or Failure:
If the heir completes all goals before reaching young adulthood, they ascend as monarch, while the younger sibling becomes a low-ranking noble or commoner.
If the heir fails, the younger sibling is appointed as the new heir, and the eldest becomes a low-ranking noble or non-royal.
Transition to Next Generation: The designated heir ascends the throne after their mother dies and completion of the Leader of the Pack aspiration, beginning Generation 4.
Generation 4: Forbidden Love
Aspiration: Soulmate for the heir.
Trope: The heir defies tradition by falling for a commoner.
New Royal Families: Add a Mt. Komorebi royal family if Snowy Escape is available.
Setup:
Family Dynamics: The monarch from the prior generation could only conceive one child, increasing the stakes for the heir’s choice of partner.
Life Span: Play on a short lifespan until the heir reaches their teen years, as this is when the storyline begins.
Heir’s Goals Before Ascending:
Forbidden Romance: Develop a relationship with a commoner through Romance interactions, defying the monarch’s arranged match with a Mt. Komorebi royal.
Commoner’s Challenge: The commoner must work to max out their Charisma, achieve "Global Superstar" fame, and attain a pristine reputation before reaching young adulthood. If they fail, the heir will be forced to marry the Mt. Komorebi royal.
Aspiration Completion: Complete the Soulmate aspiration by strengthening the relationship between the heir and the commoner, focusing on emotional depth and commitment.
Family and Political Obstacles:
Monarch’s Disapproval: The monarch discovers the relationship and expresses their disapproval with Mean interactions toward both the heir and the commoner.
Rivalry with Mt. Komorebi Royal: The Mt. Komorebi royal (or a substitute family from another available world) becomes a rival, using Mean interactions and spreading rumors about the commoner to complicate their relationship with the heir.
Transition to Next Generation: The heir ascends as monarch after securing their chosen relationship and completing their goals, beginning Generation 5.
Generation 5: Financial Hardship
Aspiration: Assign Fabulously Wealthy to the heir (the one who experienced forbidden love in the previous generation) only after they become monarch and the financial hardship begins.
Trope: The royal family faces financial struggles.
New Royal Families: If High School Years or Horse Ranch is available, add a Native American-inspired family in Copperdale or Chestnut Ridge.
Setup:
Marriage Alliance: When the monarch's heir is a teen or young adult, arrange a marriage with a royal from Copperdale, Chestnut Ridge, or another available kingdom to support future alliances.
Financial Hardship Begins:
Depletion of Wealth: Once the sim who experienced forbidden love in the last generation becomes monarch, reduce household funds to $50K (type "money 0" then "money 50000" in the cheats bar), simulating an economic depression.
Aspiration Activation: Assign the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration to the new monarch as they begin the struggle to restore financial stability.
Sunday Income Suspension: The family no longer receives the weekly $100K income, making them rely solely on career earnings, marriage dowries, and resourcefulness.
Monarch’s Goals:
Career and Earnings: Family members, including the monarch, must join careers and earn money. They may also sell off valuable items from the castle.
Marriage Dowries: Marry off children strategically to nobles or royals, bringing in dowries to aid household finances.
Wealth Restoration: Complete the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration by reaching a total of 1 million simoleons to ensure a stable future for the next generation.
Consequences for Failing to Restore Wealth:
If the family fails to reach 1 million simoleons by the monarch’s death, they will forfeit the weekly stipend for the rest of the challenge, adding difficulty for subsequent generations.
Transition to Next Generation: Progress to Generation 6 once the monarch has died and the family’s wealth has been restored, securing the legacy for future heirs.
Generation 6: Tragic Loss
Aspiration: Friend of the World for the heir (motivated by the tragic loss of their elder sibling).
Trope: A tragic loss leads to an unexpected succession.
New Royal Families: If Wedding Stories is available, introduce a Tartosa royal family.
Setup:
Sibling Bond: The eldest sibling and second eldest (now heir) are best friends, making the sudden loss more difficult to bear.
Unexpected Tragedy: The eldest sibling dies as a teenager, and the suggested causes could be a fire or accidental death from extreme heat, cold, or anger (symbolizing a sudden heart condition).
Heir’s Journey Before Ascending:
Personality Shift: Before the tragedy, the second eldest was cheerful and lighthearted, likely in a relationship with a noble or minor royal, as their betrothal was not a high priority.
Transformation after Loss: After the sibling’s death, the heir adopts the Gloomy trait, reflecting a sorrowful and serious new outlook on life. They lose their lightheartedness, straining their relationship with their former sweetheart, who struggles to understand their new disposition.
New Betrothal: The heir is betrothed to a Tartosa royal who was possibly intended for their late sibling. This new match brings empathy and companionship that resonates with the heir’s grief.
Heir’s Goals:
Aspiration and Friendships: Complete the Friend of the World aspiration by building meaningful friendships as a way to honor their late sibling’s memory.
Skill and Fame: Catch up on skills and achieve "Global Superstar" fame, reflecting their dedication to fulfilling the role their sibling left behind.
Monarch’s Goals:
As monarch, focus on building alliances and nurturing friendships, creating a legacy of compassion and unity inspired by the bond with their lost sibling.
Transition to Next Generation: The heir becomes monarch after completing the aspiration and building a strong support network, leading into Generation 7.
Generation 7: Betrayal and Unity
Aspiration: Assign Neighborhood Confidant to the heir only after they become monarch; Chief of Mischief for the betrayer (optional).
Trope: Attempting to unify kingdoms while facing betrayal from within.
New Royal Families: Add a Del Sol Valley royal family (Middle Eastern-inspired) or another available kingdom.
Setup:
Life Span: Play on short lifespan while the heir ages up, as most of the storyline occurs once they become monarch.
Betrothal: Arrange a betrothal between the heir and a royal from Del Sol Valley (or another available kingdom) to promote unity among kingdoms.
Heir’s Journey as Monarch:
Goal of Unity: Upon becoming monarch, the heir is assigned the Neighborhood Confidant aspiration with the goal of uniting the kingdoms through diplomacy, trust-building, and alliances.
The Betrayer: Create a royal advisor as the betrayer (alternatively, a sibling or member of the spouse’s family can be chosen). Play as the betrayer occasionally to sabotage the monarch’s reputation using Mischief interactions, Gossip, and Spread Rumors.
Betrayer’s Motivation: The betrayer might fear unification, have personal ambitions, or oppose the monarch’s influence. They work to undermine the monarch’s mission by sowing distrust and spreading rumors.
Monarch’s Goals:
Repair Reputation: Switch to the monarch’s perspective to counter the betrayer’s efforts, completing the Neighborhood Confidant aspiration by assisting others and winning back trust.
Reputation Requirement: The monarch must achieve and maintain a good or pristine reputation by the end of their reign. If they die with a poor reputation, their heir will inherit a negative reputation (use cheats if necessary).
Transition to Next Generation: Move to Generation 8 after the monarch’s death, with alliances and reputation intact or damaged, setting the stage for the next generation’s challenges.
Generation 8: Enemies to Lovers (or Friends)
Aspiration: Serial Romantic for the heir (switch to Soulmate or Friend of the World after completion).
Trope: Rivals in an arranged marriage who eventually develop a deep, genuine romance or friendship.
New Royal Families: Add either Tomarang (Southeast Asian-inspired) or Enamorada (Latin American-inspired).
Setup:
Life Span: Play on short lifespan until the heir becomes a teen, as the main storyline begins with their arranged marriage as young adults.
Arranged Betrothal: The heir is arranged to marry a royal from Tomarang or Enamorada, creating a union meant to strengthen alliances but marked by initial rivalry and tension.
Heir’s Journey Before Ascending:
Establishing the Rivalry: Use Mean interactions between the heir and their betrothed to create genuine resentment or frustration, establishing a rivalry rooted in clashing personalities.
Serial Romantic Aspiration: While still at odds with their betrothed, complete the Serial Romantic aspiration, pursuing other romantic interests to heighten the complexity of the arranged marriage dynamic.
Bastard Child: The heir should have a child with one of their romantic interests outside of the arranged marriage. This will setup for the next generation.
Character Growth and Friendship: After completing the Serial Romantic aspiration, work on building a strong friendship with their betrothed using Friendly interactions. This should create a foundation of trust and understanding before any romantic developments, if they choose that path.
Developing a Lasting Bond: After establishing a solid friendship, the heir can either pursue a romance by switching to the Soulmate aspiration or cultivate a supportive platonic bond by switching to Friend of the World. This bond, whether romantic or platonic, represents growth and mutual respect.
Monarch’s Goals:
If the heir becomes monarch before the “enemies to lovers” or friendship arc resolves, they should focus on presenting their relationship—whether romantic or platonic—as a symbol of harmony and unity for their kingdom.
Transition to Next Generation: Move to Generation 9 after the heir embraces their role as monarch and completes either the Soulmate or Friend of the World aspiration, establishing their relationship as a symbol of unity, through love or friendship, despite their turbulent beginning.
Generation 9: The Dark Monarch
Aspiration: Public Enemy for the dark monarch, driven by ambition, manipulation, and resentment.
Trope: A ruler with sinister ambitions and dubious alliances.
New Royal Families: If Life and Death is available, add a Ravenwood royal family (Romania-inspired), or substitute with another mysterious, gothic family.
Overview: The bastard child from Generation 8 ascends to the throne under controversial circumstances, using cunning and manipulation to establish their rule and assert a place in a family that once excluded them.
Setup:
Starting Role: Have the current heir marry into the Ravenwood royal family. Upon their marriage, shift focus to the illegitimate child who takes the throne.
Ambitions and Dark Interests: The new ruler harbors a fascination with hidden lore, arcane knowledge, or crypts. If Life and Death is available, they may have the Macabre trait, which fuels a desire to access Ravenwood’s hidden tomes and ancient secrets.
Pregnancy: Ensure the banished royal has a child during their exile, laying the foundation for the drama and redemption of Generation 10.
Heir’s Goals as Monarch:
Manipulative Relationships: Use Mean and Mischief interactions to destabilize alliances and assert dominance, ruling through fear and underhanded tactics.
Public Enemy Aspiration: Complete the Public Enemy aspiration by creating conflicts among allies, sowing distrust, and displaying a complete disregard for ethical rule.
Legacy of Fear and Exile: Establish a reputation of dominance and intimidation. To consolidate power, the dark monarch banishes the rightful heir and their family (including the former consort) to a distant world like Newcrest. This exile creates resentment and a desire for revenge among those banished.
Transition to Next Generation:
This setup leads to Generation 10, where the rightful heir’s descendants, now growing up in exile, seek to reclaim the throne and redeem the family’s reputation. Generation 10’s story will focus on taking back the kingdom and dismantling the dark legacy established by the previous ruler.
Generation 10: Restoration and Unity
Aspiration: Party Animal for the heir, reflecting their efforts to bring people together and restore the family’s reputation through gatherings and celebrations.
Trope: The rightful heir returns to repair the darkness introduced by the previous ruler, creating unity and peace across the kingdoms.
New Royal Families: Add any royal family not yet introduced from the list of optional kingdoms.
Overview: The exiled rightful heir returns with the support of an ally, using events, diplomacy, and celebrations to regain the throne and repair the family’s reputation.
Setup:
Would-Be Heir’s Background: Begin by playing as the rightful heir, raised in exile and determined to reclaim their family’s place. They develop a friendship and romance with a royal from a new or existing family, who helps them gain the support needed to reclaim the throne.
Alliance and Support: The romantic interest becomes a critical ally, leveraging their own influence to help the heir gain supporters across the kingdoms.
Heir’s Goals:
Gathering Support and Building Alliances: Use Friendly and Charisma interactions to build alliances and sway others to support the heir’s return.
Reclaiming the Throne: Rally allies, turn family members against the current ruler, and work to secure the throne peacefully or through a coup.
Restoration of Unity: Host frequent gatherings, celebrations, and diplomatic events to promote unity, rebuild alliances, and complete the Party Animal aspiration.
Symbolic Celebration: Host a final, grand celebration that brings all allied royals together, symbolizing the restoration of peace and trust across the kingdoms.
Monarch’s Goals:
As monarch, the heir continues to prioritize unity, ensuring the legacy of restoration and harmony is secure for future generations.
Challenge Conclusion:
The challenge concludes with the rightful heir fulfilling the Party Animal aspiration and hosting a unifying event that repairs the family’s reputation, securing a legacy of harmony and peace.
Optional Heir Training Requirements for Kids
These skills help develop the heir’s personality and abilities. Completing each skill offers unique benefits, while neglecting them may lead to challenges when the heir becomes monarch.
Toddler Skills (Foundation for Royal Training)
Benefits of Toddler Skills: Toddlers who excel in Communication, Imagination, Thinking, and Movement build strong foundations for future skills, improving confidence and early social connections, making them more adaptable and expressive as they grow.
School Performance for Heir Children
Grade A: Demonstrates discipline and intelligence. An "A" student is seen as a capable future leader, gaining confidence and public respect.
Grade B: Shows responsibility and diligence. A "B" student maintains a solid reputation, though not as outstanding as an “A” student.
Grade C or Lower: Indicates a lack of focus or rebelliousness, leading to doubts about the heir’s abilities. A "C" student may struggle with confidence and need to work harder to build a positive reputation as monarch.
Child Skills for Heirs
Core Skills
Creativity
Benefit: Enhances cultural sophistication. High Creativity allows the heir to host or attend artistic events confidently, boosting their public image.
Consequence: Low Creativity makes the heir appear out of touch with the arts, leading to lower public favor, especially among cultural allies.
Logic
Benefit: Essential for strategic thinking and decision-making, a high Logic skill ensures a capable and respected leader.
Consequence: Low Logic can make the heir appear impulsive or easily manipulated, weakening alliances and trust among advisors.
Charisma
Benefit: High Charisma makes the heir a persuasive speaker and well-liked by allies and subjects.
Consequence: Low Charisma results in awkward public appearances and difficulty gaining allies, leading to potential diplomatic challenges.
Secondary Skills (Choose 2-3)
Piano, Violin, or Pipe Organ (Choose One)
Benefit: Proficiency in an instrument adds elegance and discipline, helping the heir impress at royal gatherings.
Consequence: Lack of musical skill may lead to perceptions of the heir as rigid or less cultured.
Horseback Riding (Requires Horse Ranch)
Benefit: Represents physical fitness, courage, and a connection to tradition. Skilled riders gain favor with allies who value athleticism.
Consequence: Lack of riding skill may portray the heir as unadventurous, causing potential friction with more traditional or outdoorsy allies.
Singing
Benefit: Provides an entertaining and charismatic presence, enhancing public opinion and adding warmth to the heir’s image.
Consequence: Lack of singing skill may make the heir seem less approachable or expressive, affecting connections with commoners and allies.
Cross-Stitch or Knitting
Benefit: Demonstrates patience and creativity, appealing to those who value craftsmanship and dedication.
Consequence: No skill in these areas may make the heir seem impatient or uninterested in detailed work, affecting perceptions of their dedication.
Mischief
Benefit: A mischievous heir can navigate court politics and handle potential threats with ease, adding charm and cunning to their personality.
Consequence: Low Mischief skill makes the heir vulnerable to manipulation and may lead to difficulties in handling rivals or potential threats.
These skills allow heirs to grow with unique strengths and weaknesses, influencing their journey to become monarch based on their well-roundedness and adaptability.

I've not played much in Selvadorada at all or used the Jungle Adventure pack features, mainly because I was worried it would be an underwhelming and buggy immersion breaking mess, but decided to try it out, in my Dragon Isles save file.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Welcome to Bandayang, ancient capital of the Pranajaya civilization. What's left of it anyway. Like I said, I just really like the stupa ruins from For Rent and they make so much sense here, they look so haunting and majestic in the jungle. The little outpost village is just so peaceful and chill, even unmodded, it is one of the nicer worlds on my opinion.
Tumblr media
I created a bunch of locals for the area and didn't expect so many of them to show up in the market square, peddling wares and interacting happily with each other, which is a nice surprise. It does give the place a sense of community, and as a visitor, you do feel like you're an outsider in a small tight knit community. Just for fun I also added in some more Euro-esque archaeologists and academics and it's cute to see them wandering around and even selling supplies/artifacts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ambience of the jungle once I started getting into the ruins in general is just really well done too, and this is honestly the most fun and immersion I've had in the Sims 4. The way the stupas sit nicely over the portals really makes travelling through the portals look like entering a ruin and of course, I love that. The jungle is really pretty and even without any extra decor from me, the ruins look great, I actually feel kinda bad for customizing it since I do feel that alot of attention and care did go into their design, but alas .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do like that the Omiscan ruins is based on Mesoamerica, but for the sake of this save file, I gave the ruins a slight Southeast Asian flavour, with the Pranajaya based loosely on the Srivijaya. My favorite lot is the royal baths, which I didn't expect to be a lot at all, let alone an editable one. It reminds me of some world building concept art I did years ago of a flooded ruin for a novel I never ended up writing. But anyway thanks for reading all that, happy holidays everyone!

Old Italia Pier Apartments - (Anchorpoint Wharf - San Sequoia)
Residential Rental - 4 Multi-story Apartments + Shared Ground floor amenities.
"The Old Italia Pier Apartments have seen generations of people come to SimNation to make their fortune. Originally built to house an influx of Sims from the Old Country, it has played host to families from across the world. The final residents left knowing their former homes would tell their stories. The previously commercial ground floor was repurposed and now boasts a laundromat, pool complex, gym and hobby centre."
Sims 4 Gallery: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/7ADA558610F54770BC00977979535727?category=all&searchtype=ea_origin_id&sortby=downloads&time=all&searchquery=Simmy93&max=50&maxis=false
A Tour of the Lot
The Exterior:
Designed to preserve the exterior design of the original property, the four apartments are accessed by two dedicated yards with trash access. The 'main street' of the now quiet pier was once host to hundreds of sims a day but is now a shared space for the tenants to enjoy some outdoor time together. The name 'Old Italia' is inspired by the patriotic paintjob left by the original inhabitants way back when the Pier was still an active fish market.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Communal Spaces:
Although the outside of the former shops and services have remained unchanged, the interiors could not have changed more. Unlike the upstairs homes, the commercial property had no prospect of enduring and has since been repurposed for truly luxurious living.
Long Game Gym / Formerly Granny Beth's Bits n' Bobs
Once owned by the final inhabitant of the apartment above, Granny Beth's Bits n' Bobs was once the one stop shop for anything craft related in the local area. After a lucrative creative career Elizabeth 'Beth' McCann set about spreading her pink vision of the world. Unfortunately her rival and neighbour would have the last laugh as her grandson bought out the craft shop and replaced it with a gym inspired by his grandmother's domino aesthetic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adriatic Laundry Services / Formerly The Red Crane
Renowned as the best Asian cuisine this side of the Simissippi, the Red Crane was once the favourite spot of celebrities far and wide. Despite the fame, the owner never took advantage and became well known for his fair prices and wholesome family image.
Once attached to the apartments above, the Red Crane's kitchen still exists in the private residence and aspiring Chefs from across the country bid to stay for as long as they can, hoping they absorb some of that magic.
Now however, the once booming restaurant is providing services which removes grease from clothes, rather than contributing to it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Green Dragon / Formerly Bountiful Bouquets
Few people know, but San Sequoia used to be the source of many flower imports into SimNation, and no where else could the freshest and most exotic flora be found. Taking advantage of this luck was Bountiful Bouquets who it is said created the bouquets for a Royal Wedding!
Nowadays the shop has been converted into a community hobby centre; chess, painting, archaeology, woodwork and of course, flower arranging are available to any resident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Hidden Oasis / Formerly Giuseppe's Fishmonger
The heartbeat of the local economy was appropriately nestled in the middle of the main street trading in the best that came off the fishing boats. It was the only commercial endeavour that saw the start of the pier, and the end.
Afterwards it underwent the largest renovation of the four properties and was developed into a community pool. Decadence awaits you as you descend into a desert oasis amongst the busy suburban life. Equipped with pool, adult hot tub area and even a kids activity room, every member of the family can enjoy their day hiding from the desert sun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Apartments:
The Pink Lady - 2 bed, 1 bath. Unit Value: §75,628
One half of the most famous duo to be residents at the Old Italia Pier was Elizabeth 'Beth' McCann, a woman who it can safely be said, enjoyed pink. After a glittering career with her sister in the silent era of film she made the transition to the talkies, and then to colour films unlike her sister who seemed to be unable to keep up.
This lifelong resentment led to a bitter rivalry between the siblings, although most of it was aimed at Beth who for all intents and purposes was living her best life. Never marrying, Beth would adopt a son with her long time partner though they would later part ways causing scandal in the tabloids.
Tragedy would touch the McCann household despite Beth's happy disposition and she would end up raising her grandchildren after the death of her son and his wife necessitating some remodelling to accommodate such a lofty task.
No longer able to tread the boards or walk the red carpet, Beth consolidated her royalties and opened her 'Granny Beth's Bits n' Bobs' craft store and settled in for a quiet life.
The home has seen a lot of love, a lot of tears and a lot of knitting. It is perfect for an elder sim, or a small family of comfortable means.

Hi Simblr!
Meet the Final Royal Family in my Gameplay, The Hizashi Royal Family of Newcrest. Here, we have Emperor Hiruzen, Empress Chunhua and their sons, Crown Prince Kagami and Prince Haru.
Tumblr media
Emperor Hiruzen and Empress Chunhua had been in an arranged marriage since they were children because Emperor Hiruzen’s father needed him to marry strategically to strengthen their new and rising Kingdom of Newcrest. Empress Chunhua’s father was a powerful and wealthy man who saw potential in Newcrest and agreed to marry his daughter off. The two have been together ever since childhood. Empress Chunhua is quiet and shy which sometimes confuses Emperor Hiruzen to think that she doesn’t love him even though she does. Emperor Hiruzen on the other hand is also a soft-spoken person who likes to keep to himself.
Tumblr media
Crown Prince Kagami and Prince Haru are brothers that can be called the best of friends as both brothers are very different form their father. Prince Kagami, is friendly and confident while Prince Haru is playful and very flirtatious for his age, as he tends to have a lot of female friends. Prince Kagami, on the other hand, is in a relationship with Lady Sakura Saito and best friends with her bother, Lord Daiki Saito. The two are children from the Saito Noble Family of Newcrest.

Saline Bodyshapes V2 - Enabling Traits
Here's the tutorial on setting up different outfits for different traits -- such as different social classes -- with my bodyshapes mod.  It also explains how to change a shape’s default assigned outfit.
You'll need to download the Uniform Template here.  You'll also need to know the GUID of the trait you want to associate with an outfit.
Tumblr media
1) Open up the recolor file for the specific garment you want the sim to age up into.  Make sure it's already bodyshape-friendly using this tutorial.  (One important caveat -- if the outfit will be used as either outerwear or athletic wear, it must not be enabled for maternity or the game will crash when the sim tries to change clothes.  I don't know why.)  Write down the group and instance numbers, and then open up the Object Workshop.
Tumblr media
2) Clone the uniform template.  Make sure to give it a new GUID and write the new GUID down.
Tumblr media
3) You'll see four 3IDRs with different instance numbers:
0x1 is YA 0x2 is elder 0x3 is adult 0x4 is teen
Open up the one you want to change.
Tumblr media
4) The second through eighth lines of each 3IDR refer to individual garments.
1: ignore this line 2: everyday 3: sleepwear 4: swimwear 5: athletic 6: formal 7: outerwear 8: underwear
Tumblr media
5) Pick the line or lines you want to change, and edit the group and instance numbers to match the ones you wrote down for the item you want sims of that class to be automatically assigned.
Tumblr media
6) Now, open up the LadyApple2 file and look at the BCONs.  You'll want the second one, the one with an instance number of 1001.
Tumblr media
7) Put the last four digits of the trait's GUID into the first line, the first four of the trait's GUID into the second line, the last four of the uniform's GUID into the third line, and the first four of the uniform's GUID into the fourth line.  (That is, if the trait is 0x9930E34F, the first two lines need to be E34F and 9930.  If the uniform is 0x00626EB2, then the third and fourth lines need to be 6EB2 and 0062.)  Leave the last line as 0xFFF.
8) If you just wanted one trait to have its own uniform, then you're done.  But if you wanted multiple traits to each have different uniforms, you need to add some lines to the BCON so there's room.
First, go back and repeat the steps above for each trait you want an age-up outfit for.  Then, once you're back at the trait constants table, delete the last line (the one with 0xFFFF as its value).
Tumblr media
9) Add another group of four lines and fill them in for the next trait/uniform using the same pattern (last 4, first 4, last 4, first 4).
Tumblr media
10) Finally, add one last line and make sure its value is 0xFFFF.  This is important.  The mod will only know to stop looking for more traits when it finds a line that says 0xFFFF; if you leave it out, you'll get errors.
That's it!
One thing to note while you’re doing this is that the mod will stop as soon as it finds one trait that the sim has.  So let's say you add first the royal trait with Western-style royal clothes and then a Far East trait with Asian clothes.  If you're giving a token to the emperor of Japan, the mod will see the royal trait at the top of the list, assign the royal clothes to the sim, and never even check for the Far East trait at all.  So if you're doing anything complicated you'll want to be careful with their order.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if a sim is given a relevant trait after they already have a bodyshape token, it won't immediately give them a new outfit, but (as long as you allow about six hours for the mod to notice the change, or else leave the lot and come back) they'll get the right clothes the next time they age up.
Finally, one last thing -- if you want to change the default, no-trait-found outfit, you'll open up the LadyApple1 file, filter it so that only resources with group 0xFFFFFFFF are showing, and then follow steps 3-6 with the 3IDRs you'll see there.

Simblr Asks - TS3
Saw these questions by Teauke on my dash, and y’all know I love talking/ranting about The Sims; let’s go! ^0^
1. how big is your mods folder?
Tumblr media
That’s my mods folder with only mods/hacks/overrides; no CAS or build/buy CC installed. It’s a miracle that nothing conflicts, at least not as far as I can tell.
2. how would you describe your style? A sporadic mix of tv/gaming fandom-inspired conversions and recreations, of mostly fanciful and/or cultural themes & genres.
3. What is your favorite challenge? I’m a builder at heart, so I love recreating lots and interiors. Challenges where we find IRL rooms/scenes and remake them in TS3 are always the most fun for me.
4. do you make cc? if so, what kind? I make fanciful & cultural custom content (occult, sci-fi, boho, etc). I make CAS CC sometimes, but I prefer making buy/build CC.
5. what type of cc do you hoard? Not everything, but a lot. As creators retire and links die, I’m even more paranoid than I already was that CC will no longer be available anywhere.
6. what default eyes and skin do you use? I don’t use default-replacement skintones, but I do use Buhudain’s You Are Real mod.
Tumblr media
As for eye defaults, I absolutely love Moonskin’s Shiny Glass replacements.
Tumblr media
7. how many urls have you had, and what are the meanings behind them? All of my simming URLs on MTS, TSR, the officials, and Tumblr are some variation of my first name, Murfee Lee. Because yes, I am that darn creative.
8. who is your favorite gameplay blog? 9. who is your favorite storytelling blog? Ugh, there are too many good ones out there.
10. who is your favorite cc creator? All of my favorite creators retired years ago: DyM/Hekate999 (fantasy build/buy), Parsimonious (everything), Luna (everything build/buy), Qingshuangtongzi (Asian everything), Amethyst (Asian CAS), Art-Sims (CAS everything), etc. I swear, the day Sandy/ATS3 (everything build/buy) retires is the day I’m having a panic attack.
11. how do you edit your photos? Badly. Tweak the brightness & contrast and call it a effing day.
12. what is the last screenshot you took? It’s a surprise.
13. what do you do when you are unmotivated? I am never “unmotivated,” so much as I am distracted. I think the reason I’ve simmed so long is strictly because I’m always inspired by fandoms. If I get distracted by a tv/game, it becomes my next muse (aka current obsession). It’s not that I get unmotivated to finish the old stuff I pretty much abandon, it’s just that there aren’t enough hours in the day for me to do everything I want. Sometimes I return to older saves/gameplay. Most times I don’t though--unless someone messages me wanting to see it again (and that’s effing rare).
14. who is your current favorite sim? Sakura and Nasir are my alltime favorite sims. But I must admit that I patted myself on the back pretty dang hard when I created Tsukihime-Sama for my Moon Medicine gameplay. I love every sim I made for that gameplay (which I really need to finish one day, ugh), but my Lunar Moth Goddess? 👌
Tumblr media
15. who is your current favorite sim that is not by you? Every sim that @obscurus-noctem is out here sacrificing goats in order to create. It’s just disgusting how pretty everything on their blog is. Those mersims? Those graphics? That editing? Makes me effing sick.
16. recreate someone else’s sim in your style. I think I saw a challenge like this a few months/years ago, but never did it. But I DID do the Picrew version.
17. do you talk about sims with people in real life? One of my professors plays SimCity. Naturally, we bonded over how wack EA is. ^_^
18. how many of the packs do you own? All of them, except the Stuff Packs. Barring Fast Lane and Movie Stuff, none of the other SPs are worth the price; it’s just build/buy/CAS CC any MaxisMatch creator.could make for free. I’ve always felt that way about SPs, which is why I never bothered with them in TS1 or TS2 either. I will say though, that TS4′s SPs are something else entirely, which brings me to #24 (see below).
19. how many posts do you have on your blog currently? 2764. JESUS.
20. how many drafts do you have on your blog currently? 363. U_U And most of those are CC sets & gameplay posts I never finished.
21. how many posts are in your queue currently? It’s a secret. ^_^
22. have you ever moved blogs? Never. I never even changed my theme or URL.
23. are you in any sims related discord servers? Yes, the Creators Cave, but I effing hate Discord; it’s just a royal pain to navigate, IMO.
24. what are your thoughts on the most recent pack? (paranormal) Speaking of Stuff Packs!
RANT ALERT!
If anything, TS4′s SPs are doing way too much (adding new gameplay, careers, lifestates/NPCs, lots, etc!? WUT.) Or rather, its EPs aren’t doing nearly enough. I love that TS4′s SPs add meaningful content. But if they’re raising their bar, that means the Expansion Packs need to rise by the same degree, to stay relevant, if anything.
But EA, in their infinite ineptitude, seems to be scaling back with their EPs! Cutting what should be 1 cohesive EP into multiple SPs & GPs piecemeals the content and cheats people out of money, by having us pay more for less! The TS4 SPs do a lot, yes, but now let’s talk about the Paranormal SP for example:
Tumblr media
Paranormal Stuff does perhaps the most any SP in The Sims 1/2/3/4 ever has, and has by far the most worth for its money...but at a dire cost:
- the career only has 5 levels instead of 10 (thus being nowhere as deep as TS3′s combination of the Ambition EP’s Ghost Hunter and the Store’s crystal ball--which links with the Supernatural EP’s Spellcasting skill)
the crystal ball is a 1-trick pony
unlocking Bonehilda is tied to grinding skill/career levels, only for her to do EFF ALL once she finally arrives (and her face looks like melted cookie dough WTF)
most of the gameplay is tied to the pack’s new lot/venue
and the ghosts are still meh
So rather than TS4 having an actual Supernatural EP, instead it has the ok-but-disappointing Realm of Magic Game Pack (which I’ve already ranted about), the watered-down Paranormal Stuff Pack, and the INCREDIBLY OP Vampires Game Pack (which I’ve salivated over). That’s already $40--the cost of TS3′s Supernatural Expansion Pack, mind you--but with the glaringly absent inclusion of Fairies, Werewolves, AND Zombies. O_O WHAT THE HELL, EA. To get the full Supernatural experience in TS4 is gonna end up running people not $40, but perhaps DOUBLE, if werewolves & fairies get their own GPs (unless EA waters them down in SPs, which would still be anywhere from $50-60). EA is robbing people blind.
25. how many hours have you played sims? I have no idea, no doubt thousands.
26. if you play gameplay, do you play with mods? See #1 above
27. what’s the farthest you’ve gotten in a challenge? See #3 above.
Thanks for reading!

[ROYAL SERIES] - Prince Rahim's Performance
Royal News: Prince Rahim; the Royal family's musical prodigy performed this past Sunday. The prince composed his own classical piano piece and performed it at Bordeaux Opera House. The Royal Family was in attendance to support him. His parents; our Majasties King Johnathan and Queen Bambee looked very proud of their son. He performed very well and we hope to see more of this musical talent. Also in attendance was Sir Diamond Shaw along with his son Sir Dyamon Shaw. Sir Yuki Cartel also attended. They are long time friends and knights of the family.

BATIM Sims 4: Love Day with the Connors
Tumblr media
So I thought I was gonna play through Sammy and Susie for this holiday, but nope, we had to go with Allison and Tom! These two are so madly in love as Sims, I have no idea how they got so close so fast, but it was worthwhile to play through with them, so let’s see what happened!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the first stop on our journey was to play in the waterfall not too far from their house. Because if Niagara Falls has taught us anything, it’s that water is romantic as all heck. These two had a great time just splashing around and flirting, but then it was time for the main event: date night. I sent them off to the city in their best dress for a night on the town. They had some great Asian cuisine, struggled with chopsticks, and chatted with a wide variety of folks. But my favorite moments were at the karaoke bar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So first of all, a TON of my other sims were roaming around the city! I think Gin and Snowy came together, but Gin was the only one to sing. Buddy was chatting at the bar, but Dot didn’t come with him, and for some reason Henry was there with Boris? Susie also made an appearance, and I swear I saw Jeb in the background, but I couldn’t find him for the life of me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had these two sing a duet, and it was so fun! My only option was country, which was fine, I think that fits. But boy do I need to level up Tom’s singing. X’’’D That was kind of terrible to listen too, but they had so much fun, I can’t be mad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also ran into Susie, and so of course I had to have the angels duet! They had a great time. I know, I know, they probably have issues with each other in the canon, but dammit this is my Sims game, and I say they get to be friends and dorks with each other! Not gonna lie, part of me wants to draw one of these shots of them jamming out.
Finally, out couple made it home for the night and went straight to bed. However...
Tumblr media
Wally got left out. So he sadly made some brownies to comfort himself, and then went to sleep. The next morning, he stole Tom’s breakfast. X’’’’D Wally oh my god. Overall, it was a good night, but maybe Wally will have better luck next holiday. Speaking of which-
Tumblr media
Sims, why the heck is this a holiday?! What is this, Bendy Royale?! X’’’’D I swear, I think I’m gonna have a normal day, and then they keep throwing holidays at me. But that’s all for now folks. Hope you enjoyed another round of Sims 4 shenanigans!

I tried to rebuild the tower from the summer palace in Peking. You can download two different versions in my gallery, one is just the architecture and the other one is with interior decoration (this one is marked as cc, but i didn’t use any cc, so make sure to turn on the cc button when you search for it.)

After taking my sweet time in viewing The Crown - Season 3, I gathered all my excitement and creative energy (do I really now?) to continue my ambitious project - The Sims 4 version of Buckingham Palace. Again, limitations in the game mean that I couldn’t pull it off 100% but I’m still happy and excited to share to you one of my projects that is closest to my heart.
Have I mentioned before that this has been a project years in the making? Yes, it started from The Sims 3 - which ran the course of its life without me completing this. Then, in TS4 I had multiple revisions (sometimes being a perfectionist does have its pros and cons).
This project wouldn’t have been possible without countless searches on Pinterest and stalker-ish searching online for photographs of the rooms (No, I haven’t been to Buckingham Palace).
Now, let me give you a tour around Buckingham Palace - à la The Sims 4 style!
Tumblr media
For a very special guest like you, we pass through the main archway and here I give you a glimpse of the West Wing portico. (My Sim Royal Family isn’t in residence right now - which means we have all access! Yay!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, we enter through the Grand Entrance. According to historians, this area was ‘sunken’ to give that high ceiling effect. Before the Buckingham Palace became this grand home to Her Majesty, it started out as a small house bought by George III for Queen Charlotte.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before we go to the Principal Floor, let us see the rooms on the Ground Floor. Here, we have the Marble Hall. At the end, you can see the foot of the Ambassador’s Staircase. (I tried to fully recreate the Marble Hall by recoloring @thejim07 portraits with the actual portraits care of the Royal Collection Trust website.)
Tumblr media
We are now in the Bow Room. If Her Majesty, The Queen hosts garden parties, we go exit through this room and proceed to the Palace Gardens but unfortunately, the next garden party will be scheduled next year. Maybe we’ll invite you by then?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the Bow Room, we proceed to The 1844 Room. This is where The Queen usually receives distinguished guests (https://www.vogue.com/article/1844-room-buckingham-palace).
Tumblr media
If we go farther, we can reach the Belgian Suite. Her Majesty’s guests stay in this Suite. Some of the distinguished guests that stayed here were the Obamas for their state visit (This is actually my own interpretation of it, there seems to be no photos of it online.).
Tumblr media
Now, if we just go back to The Bow Room, we can access The 1855 Room opposite The 1844 Room.
Hope you’re excited now, we’ll be going up. Kindly follow me to The Grand Staircase.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, it’s not as grand as it looks now but at least the portraits are faithful representations, eh? Now, may I direct your attention to the next room in the tour?
Tumblr media
We are now in the Green Drawing Room. You may take a look at the view outside by the Portico if you wish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shall we move on to the next room?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the Throne Room. Official functions are held at the Grand Ballroom (of which, is absent in this build due to space limitations) though official photographs of events are usually taken here. The portrait on the left side is a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II with Willow, Vulcan, Candy and Holly commissioned by the Royal Mail Group last 2013.
Tumblr media
We are now in the Picture Gallery. On display are (supposedly) The Queen’s collection of Italian, Dutch and Flemish works from around the 17th-century.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, we’re here at the White Drawing Room; quite famous of the State Rooms and well-known if you ask me. You can see the portrait of Queen Alexandra hung above the fireplace. This room is usually used for small gatherings and audiences. HM The Queen usually does her Christmas Message in this room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next stop is the Music Room. During summers when the Palace is open to the public, collections, such as the Queen’s dresses, are displayed here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Blue Drawing Room. You can see portraits of Queen Mary and King George V. Did you know that the architect who was tasked to redesign Buckingham Palace went over budget?
Tumblr media
...and we have the State Dining Room. Again, this is usually reserved for small gatherings since State Banquets are done at The Grand Ballroom.
Now, I’ll be giving you an extra tour of the palace. HM has extended her warmest regards to you, our very special guest.
Tumblr media
Maybe she’s waiting for you at the Private Audience Chamber? Oh, she’s out but feel free to look around instead. (I tried to copy this room from photographs the Queen has with dignitaries - well, this is the most dignified recreation I can make.)
Tumblr media
Now, we’ll be passing through the Principal Corridor. We’re already at the East Wing and I’ll be showing you the Balcony Room.
Tumblr media
We’re now in the Balcony Room. This is where the Royal Family gathers before they go out the Balcony and wave at the British (Sims?) people during great events - and no, you may not go out on the Balcony as protocols permit only the Queen and members of the Royal Family.
Tumblr media
On the South end of the East Wing, you can find the Yellow Drawing Room. Yes, this place has a lot of sitting rooms.
Tumblr media
On the North end of the East Wing, we have the Chinese Dining Room. The Chinese collection came from the Brighton Pavilion when Queen Victoria commissioned the construction of the East Wing of Buckingham Palace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since we’re already on the North Facade, how about a tour in the Queen’s Private Apartments? (Old paintings show a predominantly green room dated to Queen Victoria’s time.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the last part of the tour, the Private Apartments of the members of the Royal Family. (This was heavily inspired by The Crown - Season 3).
It was very wonderful having you around and I hope you had a great time with us. On behalf of HM The Queen, I would like to extend her warmest gratitude for your time. We hope to have you again soon!
...and that ends our tour! I hope I didn’t post a very long one but I hope you all understand how excited I am to share this to you all. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the creative works and efforts of the following The Sims 4 CC creators:
@felixandresims most of the royal build-buy content, @harrie-cc for her traditional re-colors, @thejim07 for the artworks, sculptures, and to Leader Belgraves’ TS3 to TS4 Asian Objects c/o @simshistoricalfinds (and if there is someone I failed to mention, please send me a message so that I can acknowledge you)
I also dedicate this post to HM Queen Elizabeth II - for being an inspirational figure; to all royalty simblrs out there... and to those who are waiting for their creative juices to complete their WIPs :)
