Understanding Birth Charts
A Comprehensive Guide to Astrological Insights
Tumblr media
Introduction
Unlocking the mysteries of our lives often involves delving into realms beyond our immediate understanding. One fascinating avenue is the study of birth charts, a celestial snapshot capturing the alignment of the stars and planets at the exact moment of our birth. In this article, we'll explore the intricacies of birth charts, shedding light on their significance and how they can offer profound insights into our personalities, relationships, and life paths.
The Basics of Birth Charts
What Is a Birth Chart?
To comprehend the depth of a birth chart, one must first understand its components. A birth chart, also known as a natal or horoscope chart, is a personalized map of the celestial bodies' positions at the time of one's birth. This unique configuration serves as a cosmic fingerprint, influencing various aspects of an individual's life.
Decoding the Symbols
Navigating a birth chart requires familiarity with astrological symbols. The Sun, Moon, Ascendant (Rising Sign), and planetary positions all contribute to the intricate tapestry of influences shaping a person's character and destiny.
The Role of Planets in Birth Charts
The Sun: Essence of Self
Boldly shining at the center of the chart, the Sun represents the core essence of an individual. Unveiling traits, ambitions, and vitality, understanding the Sun's placement is crucial for a comprehensive self-analysis.
The Moon: Emotions Unveiled
In the celestial dance, the Moon governs emotions and intuition. Its positioning in the birth chart provides insights into one's emotional landscape, unveiling hidden facets that shape personal connections.
Mercury, Venus, and Mars: Forces of Communication and Passion
These inner planets play pivotal roles in shaping communication styles, romantic endeavors, and assertiveness. Unraveling their positions offers a nuanced understanding of interpersonal dynamics and assertiveness.
Jupiter and Saturn: Expansive Growth and Structure
As celestial architects, Jupiter and Saturn influence expansion and structure in one's life. Jupiter encourages growth, while Saturn imparts lessons through challenges, creating a balanced interplay of opportunities and limitations.
Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto: Catalysts of Transformation
Exploring the outer planets delves into the realm of profound transformation. Uranus sparks innovation, Neptune inspires dreams, and Pluto signifies regeneration, collectively steering significant life changes.
The Astrological Houses
In the birth chart, the twelve houses represent different facets of life, from personal identity to relationships and career aspirations. Understanding the interplay between planets and houses refines the astrological narrative, offering a more nuanced interpretation.
Practical Applications of Birth Charts
Self-Discovery and Personal Growth
Armed with insights from their birth chart, individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Recognizing strengths and weaknesses allows for intentional development, fostering a more fulfilled and purpose-driven life.
Relationship Dynamics
Birth charts serve as invaluable tools for understanding relationship dynamics. Comparing charts can unveil compatibility factors, highlighting areas of harmony and potential challenges. This astrological roadmap guides individuals in cultivating meaningful connections.
Career Guidance
The celestial map extends its influence to the professional realm. By aligning career choices with astrological indicators, individuals can make informed decisions, tapping into their cosmic strengths for success.
Conclusion
In the intricate dance of the cosmos, birth charts emerge as windows into the soul, offering profound insights into the tapestry of human existence. Embracing the wisdom encoded in the stars empowers individuals to navigate life's journey with clarity and purpose. As you delve into the celestial symphony, may your understanding of birth charts illuminate new paths and enrich your quest for self-discovery.

Random Astro Facts #25
^If your 3rd ruler is in 5th house, you may have at least one artistic talent (music or acting or dancing or writing).
^Jupiter in 3rd house people are very good at quickly reading a chapter and finishing it. They may however not read in depth.
^North node in 2nd house people may have grown up in difficult circumstances.
^11th ruler in 4th or vice versa can indicate long life to one's mother.
^Saturn's transit through the sign in which it has 0 or 1 or 2 ashtakvarga points is the most difficult 3 year period you will have.
Vedic -you need to see individual ashtakvarga of Saturn- any Vedic software will calculate it
If Saturn has 1 point in Gemini, when Saturn transits Gemini, native has the most difficult time and when Saturn transits a sign which has 5 or 6 or 7 points, it is the best time for the person.
^If 1st ruler is in 6th house, you may be fond of yoga or some sort of exercise.

Should You Do a Job or Business? What Astrology Says?
Tumblr media
Guaranteeing career success seems challenging until you know the best path that matches your skill and passion. However, with the proper guidance through career astrology, a person can achieve the success he deserves more efficiently. So, through this blog let us know, how a career astrologer near me Kolkata helps to choose the best career path for long long-lasting name, fame, abundance, and happiness in life.
Vedic Astrology & Career Perspective
In Vedic astrology, the 2nd, 6th, and 10th houses play an important role in predicting the career. Along with houses, planets have major roles in building the foundation of your career. Whether you will get success in business or a job, completely depends on the planetary placements.  When the 3rd, 7th, and 11th house and their lords are strong in a birth chart along with Sun, Moon, and Mars, the native will like to start his business rather than doing a 9 to 5 job.
Job or Business - What to Choose?
As mentioned before your 2nd, 6th, and 10th house are associated with your career. A native who is born with a strong 6th house compared to a 7th house will find himself comfortable doing jobs rather than a business.
When there is a connection between the 10th house, 3rd, 7th, and 11th house, the native finds himself comfortable in business.
You need to check the Ashtakvarga point as well while juggling between a job and business. If the 6th house has more points than the 7th house, the native tends to do the job instead of business.
Moreover, the consideration of the D 10 chart is also important to find out whether a native will go for a job or start his business. So, it will be better if you choose to visit a career astrologer near me over self-analysis. You will get the right answers and kickstart your career accordingly.

Vedic Astrology Basics for Beginners
Tumblr media
In this post I hope to cover some fundamental information about Vedic astrology. There has most definitely been a spike in interest about the vedic system recently, and while this enthusiasm is amazing many fail to truly understand the difference between Vedic and tropical, or they use vedic principles with tropical charts. In this post I want to briefly cover the history of Jyotish (the science of light - aka vedic astrology), how its different from tropical and many other key points.
Jyotish is interlinked with Hindu religion and culture
Jyotish is based of the Vedas (Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda and Atharva Veda). These are ancient scriptures that were written in Sanskrit, they contain hymns and poetry dedicated to worship hindu deities, they explain vedic philosophical knowledge and teach about karma. The Vedas documented a way of life where one could work to fulfill the desire of the divine with the aim of bringing yourself closer to the divine.
There are vedantic texts such as Upanishads which are dedicated more to the study of the atman (soul), consciousness and vedic occultism. The Upanishads are still rooted in the Vedas however.
Now does this mean one cannot study Jyotish if they are not hindu? Absolutely not! As long as one is respectful to Hindu culture & tradition and educates themselves there is no problem.
Main Differences between Jyotish and Tropical
Measurements according to vedic calculations are roughly 23-24 degrees behind tropical measurements. Why?
Tropical astrology uses a starting point that is relative to the position of the sun at the vernal equinox. But in Vedic calculations you use the actual positions of the planets in the sky, this is based of a fixed starting point.
For many their tropical and vedic charts look very different. The ascendant, moon and sun could all change signs because of the large difference in degrees between these two systems.
How to calculate your Vedic chart?
I recommend using the sidereal chart calculator on Astroseek and Astrosage. There are other chart calculators on google that claim to be using vedic measurement but they do not and give wrong information, I have found astroseek and astrosage to be the most reliable and accurate chart calculators.
For those that want to delve deeper into their charts, I can recommend Jhora. Its free vedic software that lets you explore hundreds of divisional charts, dasha periods, shadbala scores and ashtakvarga (these are some of the more advanced concepts). Downloading Jhora or other Jyotish software is something one might consider as they progress deeper in their study of jyotish but its not completely necessary for a beginner in my opinion. Other popular software includes Parashara Light and Shri Jyoti Star, these are paid software that you need to purchase.
Ayanamsha
Like I mentioned previously there is a difference of approximately 24 degrees between tropical and vedic calculations, this difference in longitude is commonly referred to as 'Ayanamsha'.
There are many ayanamsha’s that can be used some of the most popular ones include Lahiri ayanamsha, Fagan-Bradley and Pushya Paksha. The astroseek calculator gives you the option to view your chart in these different ayanamsha’s. As a beginner one can start by using Lahiri as its the most popular and most teachers use Lahiri charts for demonstration and teaching purposes. Once you get comfortable with your lahiri chart you can most certainly start to explore your chart through different ayanamshas, however before getting to this part make you know the basic meaning of planets, houses, nakshatras and techniques such as atmakaraka and amatyakaraka etc. (Through my own experience I have found Pushya paksha ayanamsha to give me more accurate dasha timings hence I use Pushya Paksha in my practice)
Key Points about Vedic:
1. You use whole sign houses
2. Traditionally outer planets such as Uranus, Pluto, Neptune and asteroids are not used. Some astrologers nowadays do use outer planets as part of their practice, perhaps because it has had relevance as per their experience but most usually don't give any importance. As per my own observations I have rarely ever seen vedic astrologers use asteroids at all.
3. All planets (grahas) have stories associated with them that are key to understanding the planets. For e.g. Jupiter is associated with Brihaspati, Guru of the Devas. You can understand the qualities of Jupiter very deeply if you research about the relationship between Brihaspati and Tara, his wife you eloped with Chandra (the moon) and gave birth to Budh (Mercury).
4. Nakshatras are key to vedic astrology. There are 27 nakshatras across the 12 signs, some nakshatras overlap 2 signs. Most Vedic chart calculators will tell you which nakshatras each of your planets are in.
The most important nakshatra is your Janma nakshatra (moon nakshatra). Each nakshatra has a deity, the deity primarily tells you many qualities and behaviors of that nakshatra. E.g. Mula nakshatra is associated with Niritti the goddess of destruction, Niritti is also associated with Maa Kali. From this we can learn that Mula nakshatra contains within it self-destructive energy, Maa Kali is the one of the main highly revered goddesses in Tantra which also gives Mula its association tantra and the occult. Saraswati is known as the goddess of knowledge, speech and art and is born in Mula nakshatra which is the reason why many Mula natives are artistically gifted.
No planet rules a nakshatra, the deity has the most influence. Mula being ruled by Ketu shows an individual with Mula moon started their life in Ketu mahadasha.
5. There are more than a hundred divisional charts in vedic astrology, the most important one being the D9 navamsha chart. The D9 chart is a deeper look at the ninth house of your birth chart. Most astrologers look at the main birth chart D1 and D9 chart together. The navamsha chart shows you the fortune of your planets and your destiny/luck in this life. For e.g. You might have a debilitated Sun in D1 but an exalted Sun in D9 which shows that Sun is actually very strong and powerful however its effect will be more visible as you get older.
I personally do not believe that your D9 chart only gets activated when you get married or hit 30. The navamsha chart is active from birth, I believe one starts relating more and more to the navamsha chart in their 30s as all planets mature (with the exception of Saturn, Rahu/Ketu) by the time one reaches 32.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
This brings me to the end of my post, I might update this based on suggestions in the future. I hope its enjoyable and insightful :)

What to consider while matching the birth charts for marriage?
Tumblr media
Choosing the right life partner can seem like an enormous undertaking, especially when you’re also navigating what feels like an endless sea of astrological signs and symbols. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the different angles and approaches that are available for chart matching, but it’s important to remember that everyone has the same goal in mind—a happy, healthy relationship that lasts forever. With this simple guide to matching birth charts for marriage, you’ll be well on your way to finding your perfect match in no time!
Gun Milan - should be given the weightage but not more than 20%, So the idea is that a minimum of 18 points should match for the alliance to be good. In my experience I have observed two things: if there is Nadi dosha in gun Milan or points are less than 18 then there are issues in family planning and compatibility issues within the partner. Although It’s not like that people who match decent points don’t have family issues but below 18 are usually not very compatible.
Compatibility - We should check the seed of both the chart, as in we must do a SWOT analysis of both guy and the girl to ensure that they are by nature compatible to each other (For ex: if one is short tempered the other must be calm to create a balance)
Ashtakvarga chart– It plays a major role in kundali milan, we have the numeric strength of the marriage house in both the charts. The Ashtakvargas (meaning eight in Sanskrit) represent eight planetary houses, where each planet is placed in a house that it rules. The Ashtakvargas are used when matching charts between two potential partners. These planetary positions will describe strengths and challenges that both partners may face together in their union.
Rahu or Ketu in 7th house can affect married life - Since both of these planets are malefic, if either is placed in seventh house of a horoscope then it can create problems with spouse. If Rahu and Ketu are placed in seventh house, they can result in husband or wife’s untimely death, extra marital affairs and sudden loss of wealth or property. However, if Rahu or Ketu fall in 7th house but get aspected by Jupiter and Mercury then these planets can give good results during marriage.
Varna or Jati – Matches based on varna or jati (caste) are important because of their belief that these individuals are spiritually equal. Although, in recent times there has been a growing desire among Indian couples to break caste taboos and reject long-held traditions such as marrying within one’s own varna or jati. When it comes to marriage, people are often driven by mutual attraction and love. However, we all have our own parents who have certain expectations when it comes to our choice of partners.
Placement of Jupiter/Venus - The placement of stars like Jupiter, Venus and Mars are of prime importance as Jupiter is anything auspicious/ Venus is the physical attraction and mars is the temperament all these must be properly placed in both the charts before giving a go ahead.
Navsama or D9 chart in both the guy and the girl should be properly evaluated for any malefic conjunctions as this chart decides the fate of the marriage. In fact, it can be said that using a navasama chart offers more clarity than using a horoscope based on birth time alone. The concept of Navasama charts or D9 charts comes from Vedic astrology and provides an important and powerful method of analyzing a person’s personality as well as his or her strengths and weaknesses.
The 11th house matters too - The 11th house also represents relationship matters, so you need to match your birth charts if your partner is in an up (or fortunate) position. If your partner’s 11th house lord and all planets in that house are not well placed in his/her chart, it can cause problems such as lack of trust, understanding and patience.
In my opinion, In India the girl is married to the entire family so at least the chart should be matched with all the people living under the same roof to ensure compatibility.
Remedies – At last, to treat the malefic that we notice the astrologer should give proper Vedic and Vastu remedies for a happy alliance.
Note: In case of love marriage charts are not required to be matched as per shastras. God bless me and all of you Samartha Bhargav

Note
Hi, can I ask if your observation is for reading vedic or western chart?
You can apply to any chart. Most of them are common principles/observations.
If a technique is vedic, you need the vedic tools to use it such as ashtakvarga or vimshottari dasha.

#mcgregor #conormcgregor #notorious #mma #ufc #astrology #vedicastrology #jyotish #warrior #mars #aries Aries rising - he personifies aries, god of war. As blunt as he is, he keeps nothing to himself and everything is open. He is fierce, fearless and a bit reckless at times. Strong third house - you might have seen a very prominent third house in professional wrestlers, boxers and overall mma fighters. He has sun, moon and mercury in it. Gemini is a tough sign. Third house generally makes you agreesive, anyway. Sun in third house can also make you fierce. Ketu in 5th house - past life karma associated strongly with this ketu Rahu in 11th house - victorious in all his doings. Saturn in 9th house - he has had wonderful trainers always. Venus in 2nd house - royal, spendthrift. Navamsha has rahu and mars in trine. As we know, trines have a special power in Navamsha chart. Rahu in aries and mars in leo for Sagittarius ascendant. Mercury in ascendant, again being 3rd lord in d1. Sun moon conjunction - sun and moon are again conjunct in d9 which is a good thing. Dashamsha - mars and saturn in 1st house in Capricorn. Saturn also being 10th lord. Recent losses - back to back losses to poirier. He is running through mercury mars. Mars in 12th is horrible and there is a planetary war between these two planets which generally give unfavourable results. Krittika rising - again that dominant sun comes in. No planets in angles - generally, we expect to see planets in angles in a celebrity's chart. But, this shows, it's not necessary. D10 and d9 can also prove to be great. Mars and rahu - both are aspecting 3rd house in d1. Sun in punarvasu, Jupiter in Krittika - nakshtra exchange between two beneficial planets for aries. Ashtakvarga - 42 points for first house. Shad bala - mars is strongest planet. Prediction - after October 2021, he will run through mercury rahu. Rahu in 11th is going to give him victory and 'the notorious one' will be back.
