COUNTDOWN TO IT CHAPTER TWO: 103 DAYS.
PROMPT LIST.
The city was falling apart. It was as though the entire ground had shaken so hard to the  every single thing was going to immediately collapse into dust. Eddie held tightly onto Bill’s arm as his best friend, and unspoken leader, looked the window of his house towards the front window. “We have to g-g-get out of huh-here.” Bill said firmly, but the paleness of his face and the slight stutter in his words being the only hint that he was nervous at all. “This huh-whole place is going down.”
“Well, I’m not going to die here.” Richie Tozier said firmly, placing his hands on his hips. As far as people to be spending the end of the world with, Richie Tozier was pretty much at the bottom of Eddie’s list. They’d been friends nearly their whole lives, growing up right down the street from each other, but Richie was loud and flirtatious and never seemed to take anything seriously enough for Eddie’s liking. Not mention that he was wondrously good at distracting Eddie from things he needed to focus on, and this would be the worst time for Eddie to find himself distracted.
But there was firm stubbornness on Richie’s face as he looked back at Bill, eyes only for their unofficial group leader, and Eddie had to wonder what Richie had lost. Richie had been suspiciously quiet since he’d arrived, with dirt streaked cheeks and cuts all over his arms and hands. Eddie wanted to go to him, but he didn’t suppose that he didn’t have time for all that. The world was ending, and they’d all had losses. They may loose more yet.
“They’re making evacuations downtown.” Mike said, seeming appearing out of thin air from the back room of the Denbrough’s house. Bill let out a deep sigh of relief, moving forward to drag Mike into a quick hug. They patted at each other’s backs like true bros, but Bill’s eyes were misty as he pulled back. Mike cleared his throat, catching both Stan and Richie in each in one arm as they came running at him, too. When the crisis had dropped onto them, Mike had been the only Losers they hadn’t managed to a hold of. Ben was visiting Bev out in Portland, and Eddie himself had spoken to them both but the phone at the Hanlon farm had just rung and rung until Stan had hung up, looking ready to cry.
Mike smiled sadly at Stan, cupping the back of Richie’s head and his eyes found Bill’s once again. “The government dropped a couple of choppers and there were more trucks and vehicle than I could count. They’re taking everybody out to Portland, which seems to the closest safety shelter.”
“Yeah.” Eddie nodded. “I talked to Bev and Ben, they’re out there and they’re safe.”
Mike nodded. “My dad and granddad have already gotten lined up and probably on their ways. Hopefully. I made it pretty clear that I wasn’t going to leave until I at least looked for you guys. I’m glad you were in the most obvious possible place.”
“We’re about to leave.” Bill said firmly, nodding as Georgie came into the room with the backpack full of whatever supplies he’d been able to find in the house. The Denbrough parents were currently in the middle of the Pacific ocean on an anniversary cruise, and the collapse of half of the state of Maine likely hadn’t even reached their ears yet.
Richie and Eddie ended up a little bit behind the rest of the chattering group, and Eddie found himself staring at the side of Richie’s face. Finally close to him, Eddie could see that Richie’s face also had scratches all over it. “What happened, Rich?”
Richie let out a humourless laugh. “I don’t know, Eds. What happened with you?”
Eddie sighed, thinking back to his talking with Ma back when they’d first starting announcing the collapse on the news. He’d tried to encourage his mother to leave the house, he’d begged her, tears in his eyes, down on his knees in front of her. No matter what he said to her, her answer was always the same. “Derry is home, Eddie bear. I was born here, I lived my whole life here. I will die here if that is Gods will.”
Eddie had packed a bag, kissed his Ma on the cheek, and walked out of the house with tears in his eyes. Now, Eddie just shrugged. “She didn’t want to leave. I tried but-” Eddie made a choking noise, and Richie’s hand came to press on his shoulder.
“I wasn’t home.” Richie said, his hand moving from resting on Eddie’s shoulder to completely wrapping around him. “I was smoking down at the railroads when I felt the shaking start. Once I realized what was happening, I ran home but it…” Richie’s voice was terribly detached, his eyes staring in front of them seemingly without seeing. “My house was already… fallen down. I tried to get through it, but there was so much and they weren’t… when I called for them, nobody…”
Eddie reached out and took Richie’s hand in his own. “I’m sorry, Richie.” Eddie  felt tears in his own eyes, thinking of the beautiful Tozier house with it’s huge windows and of Maggie Tozier’s soft smile and the smile of Wentworth’s cigar. Of little Ellie Tozier’s lisp and braids.”
“I’m sorry, too, Eds. About your mom.” Richie offered up, pulling a lighter out of his pocket and flicking it mindlessly. “I know she wasn’t the best person in the fucking world, but I also know you loved her. And nobody deserves to loose somebody like this.”
Eddie nodded slowly as they the Losers made their way into the downtown square. It was just as wild as Mike had described, maybe even more wild.  Eddie felt his breath coming a little harsher, Richie reaching down to rub at his back soothingly. They stood in the queue to give their information to government workers at the front lines, and once they got their ride information they moved towards the second round of lines.
They all talked to one another about absolutely nothing, trying their hardest to avoid thinking about everything that had happened in such a short period of time when there was a loud explosion coming from behind them. The government workers started making loud shouts, sirens sounding throughout the entire area. They started hoarding everybody onto the buses and the choppers, no longer using any sort of orderly fashion.
“There’s people in that building.” Richie said in Eddie’s ears, and he was slipping away before Eddie had a chance to react to Richie’s words. Whipping around, he watched Richie rushing through crowds of government men and women who attempted to grab him as he rushed into the now on-fire building.
“RICHIE!” Eddie screamed, rushing away from his friends and out of the line.
“Kid.” A man pushed on Eddie’s chest, attempting to get him back into the line. Eddie struggled against him, feeling the arms go around his waist and holding onto it.. “Let go of me! Do not FUCKING touch me!”
“Eddie, we have to go.” Stan cried, tugging on Bill’s hand as he, too, tried to run after Richie and Eddie as well. “We have to go now.”
“I’m not leaving without Richie!” Eddie screamed, kicking at the workers who were holding him. He didn’t watch as his three friends were hoarded onto the bus that would take to them safety while Eddie himself might end up being detained by the government.
A moment later, people came running out of the building, children and adults alike. Eddie dropped against the officer holding him, watching as the group of people trailed into smaller groups and eventually into nothing, and Eddie hadn’t seem Richie come back out. “No…” Eddie whimpered, letting the soldiers drop him to the ground as they moved forward to help with the crowds of people coming out onto the streets.
Eddie let out a rough sob, and lifted his head up slowly. Just as he looked at the burning building, he watched a running figure coming from the wide open front door. Eddie’s ability to breathe cut out completely as he watched Richie Tozier come into view. Just moments after Richie was out of the building, there was another explosion behind him, blasting the windows out and causing Richie to stumble and nearly fall.
Eddie scrambled to his feet. He ran through the crowds of people and cars, flinging himself at Richie. He tossed both arms around Richie’s neck, his legs lifting off the ground to reach his destination. He felt himself exhale. “I thought you were dead.”
Richie’s arms wrapped around Eddie quickly, lifting him off his feet once again. “I couldn’t die yet, Eds.” Richie whispered against Eddie’s neck, Eddie able to feel the wetness from Richie’s tears. “Not before I got you tell you that you make me a better person. Eddie. And that I love you.”
Eddie pulled back, cupping Richie’s dirty and bloody face with both hands. “I love you, too, dumbass. Now let’s get the fuck out of here. Please. Before we die.”

Comfort
Tumblr media
Requested
(could you maybe write something where the reader is an up and coming rock musician in leather jackets and ripped jeans and baseball caps and they supposed to do a photoshoot for a music magazine cover with Halsey? but the photographer wants them to do more intimate, sexy looking pics together that both the reader and H are kinda nervous about so they end up whispering to each other to make sure the other is comfortable but it turns into real sexual tension over the time?)
Your fingers nervously ran over the lacy bodysuit that adorned your body, the baby pink, thin piece of fabric would clearly show off your nipples if someone were to look hard enough. You were feeling very out of place in the outfit, but it was the piece the photographer so desperately wanted to see you in.
You stood in front of the mirror in your dressing room, a few people hovering around you as they finished their touch ups of your hair and makeup. The photo shoot had been something you were looking forward to the whole week because you were doing it alongside another musician who you had been a fan of for as long as her career; Halsey. But now that you were here and shown the outfits you were suppose to wear, you were nervous beyond belief and way out of your comfort zone.
Considering your usual go to outfit would consist of ripped skinny jeans, leather jackets, and anything else that screamed punk rock, you felt slightly uncomfortable, but you also couldn’t help but think that it definitely showed off your body in a way that you hadn’t seen yourself before.
“All done.” One of the ladies said to you with a smile across her lips. You let out a sigh as you made eye contact with the woman, she looked impressed with her work. “They want you on set now.” Her smile never wavered.
You nodded and thanked everyone before making your way into the other room, it was filled with many people, a good mix of both yours and halseys management, alongside the photographer and other important people who had to be there on set to help with the shoot.
You were ushered to the white back drop the second you entered the room, when you made your way over you noticed that Halsey had already been there, as you got closer, your eyes met and the brightest smile crossed her features as she eyed you once over.
You noticed her outfit, it was similar to yours, except the colour was baby blue. You frowned slightly, you were unsure why they wanted you both to dress up so seductively, especially since it was completely opposite of what you would have ever put yourself in. You didn’t know Ashley very well, had only met with her a few times before, but you followed her career, you had all her social media’s, and you knew, though it might be closer to her style than yours, it still wasn’t something you’d think she’d normally put on herself also.
“You alright, y/n?” Her voice brought you out of your thoughts. “Your frowns making me think you don’t like what you see.” She gave you a nervous laugh as you once again let your eyes meet hers. The last thing you wanted her to think was that you found her repulsing in any sort of context, because it simply wasn’t true. In fact if you were honest, you were quite attracted to her, she was beautiful beyond belief, and not to forget her personality, her visions, her identity and everything she stood for, you adored the hell out of the woman standing before you. The last thing you’d want would be for her to think that you were uninterested in her in any sort of way.
“That’s definitely not it.” You shook your head, “I like what I see very much.” You smiled at the sound of her giggle. “Just this outfit..” you continued, your hands motioning towards both of your attire. “They’re.. not what I was expecting.” You laughed now, it wasn’t very loud, and resembled more as a nervous chuckle than anything.
A sigh fell past her lips. “I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that’s uncomfortable.” Her hand moved out and gently ran up your arm for a second before pulling away, the smile you’ve so fondly admired since knowing of her, washed over her features yet again. “But I think you look great. Very sexy.” She stated matter-o-factly.
“Reassuring.” You laughed, your head tilting as you admired the way her eyes followed your movements. “I’m just a little nervous.” You spoke, quieter this time.
She nodded at your words, not answering straight away as she looked over at the photographer who had been messing around with his camera. After a few moments she turned back to you and let her shoulders fall into a shrug. “I kinda am too, but knowing that I get to do it with you, is making the experience much better.”
The flirtiness in her voice caught you off guard, in fact you weren’t even sure if you had picked up on it very well, you were sure that it was just a sincere comment, but after a 5 second pause, you felt her hand wrap around yours as she ushered you closer, your bodies almost pressed up against one and other as she looked you in the eyes.
Butterflies were the first thing that entered your stomach, until the next words slipped past her lips. “I’m really enjoying the fact that I can see more of you in this, too. Doesn’t leave much to my imagination.” Her words were only for you to hear and you couldn’t help but feel the fluttering that once sat in your stomach, make its way down south between your legs.
Your brows raised at her words, your bottom lip involuntarily was pulled between your teeth out of habit as you processed the words that danced off her lips so seductively, and only for you. “Such a shame, now I’ve got nothing to show off for you at another time.” You smirked quietly.
It was you had now caught her off guard, though the sly smirk that littered her lips told you that she was enjoying this just as much as you were. As she began to speak, her words were cut short in her throat, the photographer calling out that he was ready.
The photo shoot went along quite well, the nerves you once felt were quickly pushed to the back of your mind, the main focus was Ashley and the mischievous words that left her lips in small whispers and the touch of her soft skin against yours as you both posed together in various different stances. The outfits had changed a few times, but mostly the photographer added jackets or accessories to help with the image.
Your ears were filled with teasing words and skin ignited from sweet touches. It was all very intimate, and you were sure under any other circumstances, the way you two were acting would have not been professional whatsoever, but due to the intimacy the photographer was trying to capture, the behaviour was blind to almost everyone in the room, except the two of you.
The shoot took up most of the day, so once it was over, relief washed over your slightly tired features. You weren’t not enjoying yourself, because it was very much the opposite, you enjoyed it for sure, but that was only because you were doing it alongside Ashley, and the two of you couldn’t keep your hands off one and other the whole time, your flirting never wavered throughout the entirety of the day. It was relaxing for yourself, hearing her whisper things in your ear, filling you up with the confidence that you lacked before the shoot. But by the end of the day, you were definitely ready to get into appropriate attire, rather than the various skimpy outfits you had on.
The photographer called you both over to look at the shots, robes being brought to you to cover you up once you had crowded the screen that had all the images of the pair of you on there. You eagerly wrapped your body up and turned your attention to the screen, heat rushing over your cheeks as you looked at the images of the pair of you, wrapped up in one and others arms, lips close to each other’s, and posing in different positions. You had to admit that the two of you looked quite good together.
As if reading your mind, you heard Ashley speak up, “we look great together, y/n.” You turned to her and caught her looking at you already, one of her infamous, mischievous smirks plastered all over her face and for the millionth time that day, you felt your cheeks turn bright red. You were sure she knew exactly what she was doing, the reaction she’d been getting from you was nothing but an encouragement of her playful teasing.
You weren’t really like this, you were always confident when it came to flirting and dealing with crushes, but there was something about Ashley that made the air in your breath sparse and your heart in your chest miss multiple beats.
You pulled your lip between your teeth as you took in her words, agreeing in your head, but simply giving her a nod. You weren’t sure you could say anything to her, atleast not like you had when it was just the two of you. You wanted your words you spoke to her to be just for her.
After a few scannings of the images and helping the photographer pick out all of your favourite photos, you were dismissed from the room. You bid your goodbye to most of the people on set, throwing around a few pleasantries before making your way back to your dressing room.
Once you were changed back into your clothes, you heard a knock at your door. You made your way over, opening it a little to peep who it had been. A smile washed over your face when you saw Ashley standing there, she had also been dressed and was giving you a large, teeth showing grin.
“Can I come in?” She asked. You nodded and opened the door wider, stepping aside for her to step in. Once she had you closed the door behind her and turned your attention to her.
“What’s up, Ash?” You spoke.
She gave you a shrug, looking around the dressing room as she began to speak to you. “I wanted to see you before you left.”
You smiled at that, the butterflies you had felt in your stomach earlier on in the day returning. “Whys that?”
Her eyes finally landed on you for the first time since being in the room with you, her shoulders falling into another shrug. You had recognised that it was something she had done a lot, so you made a mental note of her behaviour.
Her legs began to move until she was standing in front of you, her hand reaching for yours as her eye contact never faltered. “Because I wanted to ask you something.” Her fingers began to fiddle with yours, her bottom lip was pulled between her teeth for a second, and you wanted to do nothing more than reach forward and pull it away with your own lips.
“What’s that?” You didn’t mean for your voice to come out so weak, but you couldn’t help it. The excitement in your body at that very moment was indescribable. Part of you hoped and prayed that she was going to do something that you had wanted her to do the entire time you had spent with her.
You watched her grin show for a second at the sound of your voice, she was definitely able to see the effect she had on you. You weren’t trying to hide it either, you just wished you weren’t so weak when it came to being around her.
“Well, after all of that..” her free hand moved in the direction of the door, you knew she was talking about the entirety of the shoot, mostly the behaviour from the pair of you. “I’m starting to think that I’m going to have a little trouble getting you off my mind if I just let you run off. So..” She trailed off, her tongue coming out to run along the bottom of her lip, wetting it as her eyes flicked between yours and your lips. “I thought I’d better come in here and make some sort of move.” She was moving as she talked, her body inching closer, her lips just centimetres away from yours. “Would that be okay with you?” Her voice was a whisper now.
A lump in your throat formed, not the bad kind, but a nervous kind. You opened your mouth to respond, but the words died in your mouth the second they attempted to leave. So instead you did the only other thing you could think of to answer her question. You closed the gap between your lips, your hand immediately tangling in her hair, pulling her closer. You felt a smile form across her lips as she instantly returned the kiss. Her hands fell at your waist, holding your body still against hers.
The lump quickly dissipated, your body was engulfed in excitement. You were finally kissing her after wanting to do nothing more than this the entire day. Her lips felt soft against yours and tasted like cherries. Your noses brushed against one and others, the kiss only deepening as time went on. It was as if you had taken some sort of drug, the effect causing your mind to feel light and airy, bright colours danced around behind your eyelids as your body fell into a state of euphoria. Her fingers gently tapping and rubbing circles against your hips, the action becoming more desperate as the kiss deepened. It soon turned into a sense of neediness rather than a sweet, tender kiss. You felt Ashley’s leg slowly move, her thigh slipping between your legs as she walked you backwards towards the couch, the friction her bare legs gave you against your denim core, causing stifled moans to slip past your lips.
Once the back of your legs hit the sofa, you felt Ashley’s lips leave yours, leaving you feeling a sense of coldness as you looked at her with a pout. Thus causing a giggle to slip past her lips. Her hand ran up to stroke your cheek gently before pushing you back on the couch, a small shriek leaving your lips, laughter following from the pair of you. You watched as she tug at her bottom lip while slowly crawling on top of your lap. Your hands immediately moving to hold her waist.
Your lips were reconnected, the warmth she was providing you before returning as she rolled her body into yours, her hands wrapping in your hair as she pulled your lips impossibly closer against hers.
You both sat there, making out on the couch for what felt like an entire lifetime. You didn’t want it to end. But unfortunately it had to, so when you felt her pull away again, you couldn’t help but pout up at her all over again. Her forehead pressed against yours, a giggle escaped her pretty, kiss swollen lips as she looked down at you.
“This was not what I was expecting to happen.” She spoke. She was slightly out of breath and it made you feel slightly proud of yourself, now you were the one stealing her breath away. “I wanted to ask you out.” She continued, her pointer finger coming up to your collarbone where she began to trace the outline, her eyes following her own movements.
You smiled at her. “You still can..” your hand moved to tilt her chin up, so she would look back at you.
When her eyes landed on you, you watched as her pupils dilated slightly, excitement and light shining through them. “Okay..” she began. She moved though, one of her legs swinging off your body as she moved until she was now sat beside you. “Y/n.. before I get carried away, and eat you out here, will you let me take you out to eat somewhere else?”
You rolled your eyes playfully at her words, hearing a giggle pass her lips. You were slowly becoming accustomed to her flirty jokes. “I would really really love to.” You finally spoke. “But as long as the eating me out part is a promise.” You smirked at her.
She grinned, her lips quickly pressing against yours in a quick peck before she pulled away and nodded. “Promise. If we hurry and go on that date now, we can get to the fun part faster.”
Your mouth fell agape as you mocked offence. “Are you saying a date with me wouldn’t be fun?”
Ashley was amide standing up, her hand reaching out to help you up off the couch also. This time her eyes rolled playfully at you. “You know exactly what I mean.”
You smiled up at her, your heart racing at the girl standing before you who had her hand tucked at her side with yours, fingers entangled as she looked at you sweetly. She was a sight for sore eyes, and selfishly, you began thinking about how you never wanted to not see her looking at you like she had in that moment, because you could have sworn that in that moment, you had fallen in love with the girl. “Let’s go then.”
