Hi! I hope your weekend has been going well and that you're working on a few brilliant fics :) I saw that someone asked you about the Taylor songs that remind you of spring so wanted to ask which ones you associate most with summer! I'm guessing maybe August and Cruel Summer make the list, but Lover/Reputation/1989 in general are such summer albums for me!
My weekend has been wonderful so far. Relaxing, which is precisely what I've needed it to be. I hope your's has been lovely as well!
To answer your question, Cruel Summer and August are definitely two TS songs I associate with summer. And I agree that Lover, Reputation, and 1989 give off a summery aesthetic. As for some other specific TS songs that give me summer feels...
Our Song
Lover
the last great american dynasty (it gives me vacation home in the Hamptons vibes for some reason?)
invisible string (the lyrics mention lots of bright colors - "green was the grass"; "teal was the color of your shirt"; "gave me the blues and then purple pink skies")
This Love (lots of mention of the ocean and tides and all that)
The Man
Blank Space
Shake It Off
Style
Getaway Car
Delicate
Mine
Tim McGraw
Picture to Burn (I always think of this as a late summer back to school song for some reason)
Love Story
Wildest Dreams
Midnight Rain
Question...?

Hi there! Here are some songs I associate with both those pairings:
Darcy and Elizabeth:
seven

Delicate

Sparks Fly
Jane and Bingley:

Potentially spicy (?!) question I'm sending to a few Swifties - what are five very popular Taylor songs that you just don't love as much as most fans do? No answers will cause your Swiftie card to be revoked ;)
Oooh, this is a good question! Let's see...
I don't love Mr. Perfectly Fine as much as other Swifties do. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good song and a fun vault track but it's not one of my favorites. Wildest Dreams and Enchanted have recently grown on me A LOT but they weren't initially among my favorites either. Same goes for Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince and Out of the Woods.

Sending you a Taylor edition of make you choose! 1. Cardigan or The 1? 2. State of Grace or Holy Ground? 3. Dress or Style? 4. Folklore or Evermore? 5. 1989 or Reputation? Good luck!
AHHHH, this was so hard! I agonized over these for a LONG time. Thanks for the ask! xx
the 1
State of Grace (because there's something so satisfying to me about singing "and you were never a saint/ and I've loved in shades of wrong)
Style
Folklore (I definitely fall into that "living for the hope of it all" camp. It's my brand 😅 )
Reputation (I love 1989 but I am currently in my villain era so Reputation has been my anthem lmao)

Weekend challenge for my fellow Austen and Friend's fan and, of course, Taylor stan: What are your top five Midnights tracks (3 a.m. version, of course :)) In order, if possible. The more I listen to Midnights, the more it ranks right up there with Evermore, Folklore, Red and 1989 as not just one of my favorite Taylor albums but one of my favorite albums by any artist! I think my top five at this moment would be You're on Your Own Kid, Would've Should've Could've, Maroon, High Infidelity, Anti-Hero...and Mastermind, Snow on the beach, Bigger Than the Whole Sky and all the rest, so hopefully you can do a better job of picking just five :)
These are the Midnights tracks I’ve been listening to the most recently:
Karma
High Infidelity
Maroon
Question...?
Bigger Than the Whole Sky
**Bonus: Anti-Hero and Lavender Haze

Is it just me or are there like at least 15-20 Taylor songs that somehow remind you of Japril?! (And of about 75 other OTPs too, lol)
Nope, not just you! Taylor's songs have a universality to them, making it so they're able to apply to numerous ships and/or numerous scenarios/moments for a particular ship. 😅

I’m sure it changes, but what are your current top ten Taylor songs?! You don’t even want to know how often I’ve played Would’ve Should’ve Could’ve, Nothing New, All Too Well, August and Anti-Hero these past several weeks :)
My fave list definitely does change depending on my mood or my headspace. I'm still on a Midnights kick, so I've been listening to tracks on that album a lot. And, of course, there are some older tunes I can't seem to stop playing either.
Here's my Currently Playing On Repeat List (Taylor's Version):
High Infidelity
Vigilante Shit
You Need To Calm Down
Death by a Thousand Cuts
Anti-Hero
invisible string
the 1
Cruel Summer
Getaway Car
Bad Blood
(I'm still heavily in my "cat eye sharp enough to kill a man" era so I think that's influencing a lot of my choices as well 😅)

A Taylor edition of “make you choose” :) 1. 1989 or Reputation? 2. The original Red or Taylor’s version? (I love Taylor’s version but actually have the UO of loving most of the original Red songs more) 3. Folkore or Evermore? 4. Lover or Speak Now? 5. I Bet You Think About Me or Everything Has Changed? 6. The original Anti-hero or the acoustic version? 7. Ivy or Willow?
I always love your answers!
Oooh, intriguing questions! Let's see...
Reputation - Probably because lately I feel like I'm in my Rep era 😈
Red (Taylor's Version) - I love the OG, too, but I simply cannot live without All Too Well (10 min version) now. It's embedded in the bedrock of my soul.
Folklore for me. Not sure I can explain why either because Evermore is also a fantastically written album. I think I just vibe with the emotional aesthetics of Folklore more? There's a nostalgic air to the songs of that album that resonate with me. It's like I'm looking at life through a flipbook of black-and-white photographs whereas Evermore is more sepia-toned.
Lover
Everything Has Changed - an underrated jam, imo
Anti-Hero the OG
Ivy - That song just wraps itself around me like vines whenever I listen to it

Which Jane Austen heroine do you think would be the biggest Swiftie? I'm voting for my beloved Catherine Morland :) And her husband Henry would secretly love her too---he's a word/lyrics guy, and Taylor's are unparalleled! Great, now I have to write a fic about this very important issue :)
I'm with you and think it'd probably be Catherine Morland. However, I think a case could be made for Marianne Dashwood as well because she loves to FEEL and immerse herself in art/poetry that stirs her emotionally, and Miss Swift has lots of songs and lyrics that do just that.

What are your five favorite Taylor albums?! I think I'd pick Folklore, Evermore, Red, Lover and...hmmm....1989? Midnights? Fearless? Reputation? And I'm so sentimentally attached to her self-titled debut. Clearly I'm giving you a question that I can't even come close to answering :) I'd also love to hear your 4-5 favorite and 2-3 least favorite Midnights (3 am version) tracks now that we've both had time to listen to those songs a few million or so times!
It’s so hard to chose! I’m literally obsessed with ALL of Taylor’s albums, but Folklore and Evermore are probably my favorites?? Probably because I’m a storyteller and lyricist at heart. That said, I am loving all the new Midnights content! And Lover, Red, 1989, Reputation, Speak Now, Fearless, and Debut…pretty much have them all on repeat all the time.
…Clearly I have the same problem as you do. 😂
(Been playing Don’t Blame Me and Look What You Made Me Do a lot lately. I think I’m in my villain era. 😈)
My favorite tracks on Midnights (3 AM version) are Karma, Anti-Hero, Midnight Rain, Bigger Than The Whole Sky, Lavender Haze, and Mastermind.
*Special shoutouts to Question…?, Maroon, Sweet Nothing. (Lmao, I’m such a hopeless super fan)
My least favorite (even though I still like them) are Dear Reader, Bejeweled, and Glitch.
