now, we will go with this two ways,

1: he's still a game

the way he "stalks" you while in this form, is that he goes through your files, watches your cam (if it's useable), he sees what websites you use, and he tries to learn everything he can about you.

soon he learns everything he can and will try to learn any new info he can about you, and he soon wishes he could hold you.

TLDR; He basically becomes like his virus counterpart.

2: an au where you two are in the same universe (whether he got to yours, you got to his, or he just didn't like you and you were both born in the same universe. don't matter)

He always disliked at least a little bit. He also saw you on the sidelines and thought you were just another to try and use him for what he had, or only for his looks.

but... one day he decided to try and change that view, letting you try and talk to him.

and you were... nice. He likes you.

He likes talking to you.

He starts to find you cute.

You don't mind his interests; you LIKE his interests!

He can't help it, and even though he hates it, he starts to like you.

he soon becomes OBSESSED with you.

He soon does the things HE finds creepy; he ends up stalking you, thinking about you, god you're almost the only thing he thinks about, and he just can't help it! the way your skin feels against his, the sound of your voice, the texture of your hair... it's all so perfect...

He ends up kidnapping you.. and it's not like he can blame himself! and please don't blame him...

After months I am finally finished

I realized it might take a little longer to make the other Spotify playlist covers for the Picture Perfect Boyfriend playlists I've been chugging along on, so I'll just post this one here as well already.

Got a playlist for the Ashino fans out there! I tried to make it generally a mix of songs he'd enjoy and ones that inform his vibe in some way.

For each character, I specifically start the list on something they'd listen to, so he gets Wannabe by Spice Girls. The second song is more about the character, so I chose Leave the Door Open by Silk Sonic, since it's a fun retro throwback love song, but can come off braggadocious to the point of smugness.

Aside from that, I'll make a cut below for game spoilers for Picture Perfect Boyfriend REBOOT. I suppose you can consider the playlist itself also a spoiler, but I hope people at least played some of Ashino's route before deciding to listen to this thing. :p

After that is a small string of fairly innocuous love songs. I thought that would be a fun way to sort of imitate the first date. Things are going fine (aside from some perceived self-centeredness) right up until it's really not fine. Arguably, the song Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi is a small warning, since it's about empty and unfulfilling flings, but I set Dangerous by Big Data and Joywave as the moment the other shoe drops. (Fun Fact: Ashton gets a song from the same album as Dangerous.)

After that, the playlist mostly vascillates between sweet, bitter, and a couple of anime themes (if you know, you know). I specifically chose Rondo Revolution from Revolutionary Girl Utena (they didn't have the actual soundtrack version, so I chose a cover by Shokotan), as well as Morning Grace from Princess Tutu. Considering his tastes, I would so twist Ashino's arm into watching Princess Tutu, if he hasn't.

Aside from that, I think the most notable detail was that I added two songs regarding summer, namely because of a certain someone that canonically loves summer the best. Specifically, I chose to end on summertime by cinnamons and evening cinema for a sweet note, despite the fact that the game isn't finished, so what happens with Ashino is very open-ended at the moment. I just want to end each playlist on some sort of positive note.

I think one of my personal favorite choices for this playlist was the very bubblegum cover of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by The Cardigans. It's a really good match for Ashino's feelings towards the Bureau as well as the existential nightmare that is his life (similar to Ghost in the Machine by SZA and Phoebe Bridgers but with absurdly sweet production) and I think it can also vaguely work for his constant attempts to gaslight Kadsey (something I really wish I could berate him for).

Guess I had more to say than I expected, but there you go! Next up for a cover image and post like this will be Ashton.

This post ended up glitching out on me, so I have to rewrite it. Oh, joy. 🙃

Yeah, though! It's funny that Vincent and Ashino sort of compete in the same character vibe, to an extent. At least with what's presented of them. How they fit into what has them in a similar typecast is interesting, though.

Vincent's a prodigy because of his father pressing his interest in piano at a very young age (a common thing with prodigies, actually). That talent of his is something he's been honing for years. Meanwhile, Ashino picks things up and tends to be... basically good at them right away. He's essentially a jack of all trades but, because of that approach, he's only good enough to impress but not enough to inspire (soulless tends to be a constant descriptor, something that opposes Vincent's position as an artist).

All of the interests we see Vincent pursue (piano and later painting, not to mention a fan-submitted question about everyone's cooking skills where Vincent was the best) are clearly the result of passion and effort. I have no doubt the stuff that Ashino does takes some effort, but he doesn't seem to usually put his heart in it. He probably sees no reason to do better because he does enough to earn praise and doesn't feel any particular desire for more from just about any citizen of Glory.

I feel like Ashino has a major case of imposter syndrome. All of his achievements are practically at the level of participation trophies for him because nothing around him is "real", including himself. He'll prop himself up with the praise and accolades, but they don't mean much to him. He still doesn't have what he wants.

Vincent, funnily enough, seems frustrated by how Ashino seems to have everything together, but that's only because he's seeing what Ashino deigns to show others to begin with.

Even though Ashino has more hangups to deal with, I can see why the Bureau sees him as such a threat even before factoring in potential self-awareness. Ashino comes off as more confident and personable. He's able to look approachable and play the part of someone that knows his worth but doesn't mind lending a helpful hand. Vincent is shy and touch-averse, not to mention more visibly high-strung and he loves formality and dignity to the point where he's reluctant to reach out to his own friends for support. If someone wants the town sweetheart with artistic interests, they might lean towards Ashino as a choice with those things in mind.

As a side note, in the traits listed on the quiz in the first game, the only ones Ashton doesn't feel confident in (wealth and appearance) are ones that clearly fit Vincent. Ashino presumably fits the appearance one fine and, by the second game, we discover Vincent's actually trapped in a heap of debt. Obviously, the debt thing isn't a machination from either Ashton, but it does tip the scale a bit more out of Vincent's favor if someone does care about financial situation.

(Fun little side note, since I was thinking of this earlier, but I actually like that "My Worst Fear" painting Ashino shows us. I guess because it feels like he's being honest for once and it's distinctly not photo-realistic.)

Welcome to another episode of me having brainrot over PPB and also spoilers.

I just noticed how in both games (picture perfect boyfriend and picture perfect boyfriend:REBOOT), you can't have the same favorite animal as Ashton, whether that may be dogs or cats and i honestly can't tell if that's a coincidence or it means something. Perhaps it means that both Ashtons were destined to lose from the start. Another thing i realised was how we manage to get very important information about the same in 2 completely different games, in Ashton's date, he says that the game was rigged from start against him, he wouldn't be able to have a chance with the MC and thus, wouldn't be able to become real, this follows through in the second game where Ashino reveals to you that the most likely candidate for the fictional to real body character was non other than Vincent. And as a other interesting, in my opinion, thing is as @farshootingstar mentioned, is that Ashton kills Vincent first in the original game, Vincent, who also kinda sees Ashino as a rival.

The BAiHR probably meant that to happen, they wanted-needed Vincent to win, so they sabotaged Ashton, it didn't matter which one it was, they didn't want to him to win or more specifically, she didn't want him to win even though Ashino was perfect, she was hoping for someone else to win, someone she missed, someone she lost a while ago.

Ashino has always been cocky with you, pretending not to care about you. But when it comes down to Ashton he can get a little positive of you, You and Ashton got along to an extent. Ashino knew Ashton still loved you, and that’s what ticked him off. You agreed to spend some time with Ashton today, he knew this but couldn’t help thinking about a slim chance that you could just fall in love with him and leave him alone. He hates that feeling. He decided to pay a visit to the flower garden, when walking though it and clearing his head, admiring the beautiful flowers, however when he looked up a bit he saw you and Ashton. He felt his blood boil at the sight. However he decided not to intrude, he decided to listen in. “The flowers look beautiful don’t you think?” You’d smile at him as you lean down to admire the flower at a close angle. “Yeah. If anything they seem to have tidied the garden up more. I surprised they decided to still include the garden, even after-… um…” An awkward silence filled the air between the two of you. Ashton cleared his throat and decided to break the silence first. “Um yeah… but that’s all in the past now, but I mean you were put in that situation cause of me… look I’m sorry for what happened… I didn’t consider what you would think. I didn’t take your feelings into account.” You would lift yourself a bit to pat his head to reassure him. “It’s ok Ashton, yes it was terrifying for me, and I genuinely thought that maybe- agh! The point is, I forgive you Ashton.” You then hug him, Ashton was taken aback a bit, however he didn’t complain. He was genuinely happy, his face was a bit pink feeling flustered. He hugged you back, However Ashino was still watching and could help but feel his blood boil with anger, was he jealous? Before he knew it, his body moved on his own on instinct. “HEY!” You and Ashton looked over to see Ashino walking over to you and grabbed your arm and pulled you towards him. “Ashino wha-?” He pull you towards him. Your head to his chest, you could feel you face heat up. “You better keep your dirty hands off them! Do you have any idea how delicate they are?! Don’t worry I’ll protect you from this Virus!” Ashton and Ashino glared at each other. “Wow… I had no idea how much you cared for me Ashino.” Ashino look at you and realized how close the two of you were. His felt his face heat up at the fact your close to him. And the fact is not cause your close to him, but the fact your actually close to him and blushing at how protective he is. He quickly let go of you and cleared his throat. “I- well of course.. you’ve been through hell with this guy. B-Besides… it’s not so hard to protect you from a guy like him.” You giggled a bit. Ashton only rolled his eyes underneath his hair. “If you wanted some attention to Ashino, all you have to do is ask and I’ll provide it for you.” Ashino got even more flustered at that, the fact your willing to give him your attention with no conditions at all felt nice but he wouldn’t admit it a loud. “You don’t need to, besides what if I don’t ask at all. So your offer is a bit pointless…” you were a bit hurt at that, but still smiled at him. “Well the offer is still open if you ever want it.” He looked away trying not to show how flustered he was. “Haha! The goodie two shoes is all flustered HAHAHA!” Ashton laughed as you nudged him to be nice. “SHUT UP!” That was the day you found out Ashino cared about you more than you knew. And you found it kinda cute.

You feel like You and Ashino might get closer in the future.

Because of a small twitter conversation I was compelled to draw Ashino (Ashton prime from my game Picture Perfect Boyfriend) as a werewolf! Unlike Ashton he doesn NOT like it if MC pats his head because it will mess up his hair but as a werewolf he is very distraught to be a big messy dog, and thus will welcome lots of loving head pats!

Hehehe, an idea came to me because:

Something like the middle, but the funny thing is that I'm shorter than them in height, and the character is... Mixed? It's like an ambivert, let's put it this way.

(at that time, I had a long and lush bangs. And I have a mole next to my eye, like Ashino and Ashton, and another one above the eyebrow, but the bangs hide it, heeeeeeeh)

And the difference from these two, if there is a player in front of this "fox", then he will either perceive the character as usual, or with distrust (like Ashino).

And the name... Well, FOXTRON 🤣🤣🤣🤣
