THE UNAVOIDABLE MOMENT HE HAD BEEN DREADING.  this  was  going  to  happen  sooner  or  later .   bags  are  packed .   everyone  at  scott’s  for  one  final  goodbye  party .    it’s  stupid ,  really . nothing  was  going  to  change   (  of  course ,  everything  already  had  ) .  he  couldn’t  get  drunk   so   the   beta spent  most  of  the  night  avoiding  people  in  the  kitchen ,  stuffing  his  face  with  chips .   things  were   going to  be  okay .  well ,  if  that  were  true  why  did  the  teen  have  such  a  knot  in  his  stomach ?  ugh .  maybe  he would  feel  better  after  another  handful  of  doritos .

SPOILER  ALERT   :    he  didn’t .    what  would  actually  help  is  getting  out  of  there .    there’s  nothing  wrong  with  wanting  to  ignore  something  unhappy  for  a  little  while  longer .  stiles  did  it  all  the  time .   the  thought  only  made  things  worse .  no  more  late  night  stakeouts  for  no  reason  other  than  a  ridiculous  suspicion .  the  teen  was  going  to  miss  that  more  than  he  could  say .  

just  then  a  familiar  face  walks  into  the  kitchen .  she’s  got  her  i’ve  been  looking  for  you  face  on  and  it  only  validates  his  initial  idea  to  hide .   they  get  through  a  short  conversation  of  small  talk ,  laughing  their  way  through  days  gone  by .  near  death  experiences  but  many ,  many  more  happy  memories .

it’s  only  her  final  comment  that  takes  him  by  surprise .  i’m  gonna  miss  you .   there’s  a  lump  in  his  throat  but  he  forces  out  a  smile .  everything  will  to  be  okay .   it  had  to  be .   ❝     you  don’t  have  to  worry ,  you  know .     ❞   blue  eyes  refuse  to  break  the  girl’s  gaze .   ❝     i’ll  be  fine .  we’ll  all  be  fine .  mason ,  deaton ,  scott’s  mom ,  your  mom …  it’s  okay  to  go .     ❞

something  inside  the  teen  possesses  him  to  get  up  and  embrace  her .   ❝     you’ve  all   protected   beacon hills  for  so  long .  it’s  time  for  you  to  go .  time  to  finally  say  goodbye .     ❞    he  pulls  away  and  offers  her a  reassuring  (  albeit  unhelpful  )  nod .  ❝     –––––  i’m  gonna  miss  you  too ,  lydia .     ❞

I lost my fucking MIND when Neku came back because that was THE most dramatic way they could’ve. I literally had to scream into a pillow. And I had been so nervous with all the death flags beat was throwing up, and then for Neku to come save him last second… 🥺 and my boyfriend was hanging with me while I played, and we were watching Beat’s reaction to Neku coming with all the sparkles and mood lighting and we both looked at each other with a mutual understanding of “hey this is kinda gay”. But I was so fucking HYYYYYPEEEE when Twister comes on… no feeling like it!!! Neku help meeee 😭😭😭😭

W3D5 was very weird for me because on the one hand the fake Ayano and team leaders were absolutely awful and senselessly cruel but literally every time I went into a battle and Neku was on the screen I got the biggest dumb grin on my face. I also may have wept a little at his banter with Beat. My heart.

In case no one has clarified for you yet, Another Day is the crack extra chapter where main-timeline!Joshua was hanging out after he vanished at the end of week 2. A New Day is the epilogue where Coco abducts Beat and Neku and then eventually murders Neku, which came out with the Final Remix version of the game.

Nagi's 'you are human' speech absolutely killed me. In like, the best way, but oh MAN did it get me. It's a tragedy that it wasn't voiced. Her repeatedly yelling "That is not Lady Kanon!" gets an honourable mention too because damn. I love her so much.

It was very funny reading your Tsugumi dislike knowing that there was a very good reason she's Like That. I'm glad you like the real her.

Nagi got such a good spotlight this day, I really like how they balance her personality between "yes she is logical" BUT "she is also extremely attentive to people's feelings, thoughts, and body language"

I knowwww I'm so glad I already like Tsugumi so so much. It makes me SAD when I don't like a character because like... idk loving every character for different reasons is so much fun LOL (from ANY franchise!), so it's great I do get to have that with Tsugumi after all!!!
