I've always had a suspicion that Ares in Hadesgame is actually depicting more of the Roman god Mars because the armor he's wearing is that of Roman legionaries. Everyone should know about this one 😅 especially if you're into Pentagon. But I watched like all of these shows before I even fell into the rabbithole of kpop.

It's funny, with a slow burn and the usual "They hate each other" trope. It's also really short! So you could probably finish this within a few hours 💜

I made my nieces watch this with me just because I was bored and wanted something to laugh at 😂😂

Another classic "hate each other" trope, but there's also pining in this one. You even get invested in the side couple that has their own episodes (plot wise) in the second season.

Also? STILL REALLY ANNOYED ABOUT THE SECOND LOVE INTEREST AND HOW HE ENDED UP ASDFHJKL -but I digress 😅

Absolute Boyfriend

Don't let the poster fool you, this show is so good!! I'm still watching it and I've been trying to finish it for two years 😪 the show only has 40+ episodes, but the characters and plot have such a hold on me, that I cry every 3 episodes TT-TT

Guy in the left photo is a robot and over time develops real feelings (not programmed, but actual human feelings) for the girl holding the robot. I kid you not, please watch this show, it's funny, sweet and touches on real problems within relationships and friend groups.

Just grab some tissues, if you're like me, you'll cry (ugly cry) a lot while watching.

Orange Marmalade

This show was adapted from the webtoon comic! It features the same actor from Absolute Boyfriend and was given high praise.

The girl is a vampire and accidentally....nibbles? It's not a bite, just a little nip, on the guy in the photo. She's in love with the smell of his blood and since the "nibbling" incident, the two play cat and mouse with each other.

Cheese in the Trap

Also another webtoon adapted drama! I never read this one, or have seen it, but it was highly talked about and the story was always on webtoons recommendation page.

It's said to be really fucked up (relationship wise) and highly aggravating. So if intense emotion invoking shows like this are a turn off for you, perhaps not this one.

Would I be an army if I didn't recommend this??

This is set in an old war era and V from BTS acts in this as one of the main six here. A friend I used to talk with said that as a war drama, it's not the best - there are better ones, but that it's still a funny show and the story is interesting.

Dream Knight

This show is not on VikiRakuten, but I did watch it while it was on Netflix. Again, way before I even fell into the kpop rabbit hole.

The main actors are GOT7 and a brief appearance from Jimin Park. The drama is not meant to be taken seriously, it's crack on steroids, purely exists for fan service.

But damn, it's so funny, I need to be able to watch this again. A great serotonin boost and a perfect mood booster 🥰

Give 7 Days

I couldn't find a movie poster for this, you can watch it on VikiRakuten. But it's a tear-jerker, so please be prepped if you watch it.

Two women switch houses for a week and in doing so end up finding their partners. Look at it as an Asian Princess and the Pauper, the story line is very very similar. 10/10 would watch again......in five years after my heart is fully healed TT-TT
