The moon had just begun peeking her head over Hermitland, chatter filling the crisp night air. It wasn’t a rare occurrence for all of the hermits to be together, but this one was special. Tonight, a meteor shower was going to pass over Hermitcraft, and everyone wanted to see it.

The Architechs and Stress were chatting around a makeshift campfire, roasting marshmallows and currently laughing their heads off about something Iskall has said. A few others had set up a game of cornhole that False and Doc were playing quite competitively, with Wels, Python, Joe, and Cleo all watching and cheering them on.

It was nice.

Xisuma had taken his helmet off, letting his messy hair flow in the night breeze. Although he had a bit of trouble breathing properly, it still felt great. He shut his eyes, leaning back and taking in a deep breath.

It wasn’t long before X could hear some people excitedly saying that it was starting. He opened his eyes, seeing in his peripheral all the hermits getting onto blankets they had spread out on the grass, staring up at the sky.

The sky was marvellous.

The stars fell in sheets, dancing across the heavens in an abstract mess of natural beauty. They shone brighter than ever, so bright, in fact, that shadows had found their way onto the grass.

It wasn’t often Xisuma saw stars like this. It wasn’t often he saw stars at all, really. Most of the hermits usually paid more attention to phantoms and unfinished projects, and he was no different in that aspect.

The meteor shower was beginning to die down, now less of a shower and more of a light drizzle. The occasional star would whizz by, but other than that the hermits had begun to return to a few festivities like PVP or roasting marshmallows.

Everything was peaceful for a few hours. The only sounds were the gentle chatter of the hermits who decided to stay despite their tiredness and the crackle of a dying fire. Xisuma was nodding in and out of a light nap when someone started saying something about a red star.

“Nah, that’s pink,” Scar observed, looking up at the strangely-pigmented star in question.

“Don’t even argue. It’s red,” Grian responded.

“It doesn’t matter what color it is, I think it’s getting closer,” Doc said, standing to get a better look.

Xisuma opened his eyes and saw a meteor high in the sky, falling down right in their direction. All weariness left his limbs as he was suddenly filled with adrenaline. The star was going to hit Hermitland.

People started running as it got closer, abandoning the blankets and the food and the unfinished cornhole game. Xisuma narrowly jumped out of the blast range, being propelled forward straight into a tree trunk.

A/N: asdfghj uhhh the absolute rush to get this done before november is over lol. Also I’m not gonna lie I was reluctant when I saw @finniestoncrane upload the follow up to her nnn with the riddler’s earlier lol. It just seems weird lol and I don’t wanna repeat what she wrote or seem like I’m copying lmao (even though we mutually agreed we’re symbiotic and often travel the same mental wavelengths, but I’ll do my best), I will say some of these answers are inspired by her though. Please give hers a read when you get a chance! Here’s a link to the follow-up and the original challenge (it even includes daddy oz my beloved)

Trigger Warnings: highly suggestive? Lots of teasing for both parties, mentions of masturbation (blatant hints lmao), and suggestive language that’s about it. 

Also the Riddlers have a ranking system too. Same as with the Pengys: 

1: being absolutely weak, thirsty simp energy, lost on the first day

10: being resilient, confident asshat that managed his impulse control just once for 30 days, but once its over you’ll both be out of commission. 

How The Riddlers Handle NNN

Now, I know what you’re probably thinking, Ri these numbers are pretty high, well…that’s because if there’s one thing most of these Riddlers can’t stand…is to lose it’s almost as bad as proving him he’s wrong. Just based on that principle alone, his resilience is peaked, but then you get whores like Zero Year or baby girls like Young Justice that just don’t make it. Bless them.

Arkhamverse Riddler (9.5 out of 10):

He was close…so close…figuratively and literally. When you first mentioned the challenge to you, he scoffed. Such a childish game, only a baboon would lose at something so primal and pointless. Of course, having to prove how easy it was he took on the challenge. 

Little did he realize just how much feeling your soft warm skin actually effected him. While he was tinkering away at his projects or slamming on his keyboard…he’d see you doing something mundane out of the corner of his eye. You sit on the couch, you watch TV, read a book. Your shorts riding up, the rise and fall of your chest.

Damnit, damnit, damnit. 

He does make it through though, how he did you had no idea. Every time he looked at you it seemed likely he’d pounce but he did pounce finally by December 1st. 

Reevesverse/Dano Riddler (3 out of 10):

This Edward just got used to you touching him. To the idea of jerking one out to you when you were at work or if he got particularly fired up and you were preoccupied with something. You were the perfect thing to relieve his stress…and for a whole month he’d have to find something else? After being spoiled with you?

His online chess games, incessant scribbling in his ledgers, crosswords scattered complete everywhere. Nothing helped, nothing like you. Ed is an absolute mess. Feet, hands, fingers constantly shaking and fidgeting. 

It’s November 5th, you come by and barely greet him with your sweet voice and he’s gone. You probably should’ve brought an overnight bag, you’re not going anywhere for a few days…maybe not for the rest of the month. 

Gotham Riddler (10 out of 10):

It doesn’t matter what it is. If it’s the world’s most complex Rubic’s cube or seeing if he can go a whole month without cumming. A game is a game. 

Edward doesn’t lose to games. When he plays he plays for keeps. Especially if that prize means he gets to keep you under an undisclosed period of time, doing only what he asks. 

He won’t lie though. Ed’s a victim of often counting his eggs before they hatch. Already assuming his win, sometimes he’ll catch himself getting hard at the faintest idea of what he wants to do to you when he wins. Which costs him to swiftly remind himself that the game is still on, he can’t lose himself to his unhinged carnal desires. 

Not yet. There is a game to be won. 

BTAS Riddler (9 out of 10):

Oh, well…this is a different objective to most challenges. Edward can’t say he’s not interested though. He is adamant that it’s an even playing field for the two of you. 

Every time your kisses to his cheek last longer than usual. So will his hand that’s wrapped around your waist. For every tempting kiss there’s an even more persuasive touch to combat it. It’s an alluring power struggle of who can snap first. 

Edward has to admit, you were far more resilient than he gave himself credit for. He finds himself lost in thought of your latest tactics…

He groans in frustration, rubbing the temples of his head. Ed tries to think of anything or anyone else to get his emotions elsewhere and for his second head to calm down. 

It’s November 29th, he absolutely despises the concupiscent mess he’s become over this past month. But he can taste the finish line and it tastes like you. The moment it hits midnight on December 1st. He’s gone and he’s taking you down with him. 

Zero Year Riddler (3.5 out of 10):

This dick head. This candy ass…

Listen, listen, he’s too much of a greedy attention whore to stop getting what he wants. He doesn’t care for some stupid challenge. What good is it if it’s just going to keep him from doing what he wants? That just seems highly stupid and counter intuitive. 

He wants you, he’ll have you, don’t think he won’t make you break your streak as well.

No if, ands, or buts about it. Good luck coming up with a decent argument. 

Twojar Riddler (7 out of 10):

This Edward I imagine has partaken in this challenge, like…just cause? I don’t know I feel like he sometimes gets his kicks by refraining himself from doing tasks that normally compel him. So when he’s with you and you challenge him. He thinks he’s got this in the bag, but that competing with a partner makes things way more tantalizing. 

He didn’t stop to think what would happen if his teasing tricks were ever thrown back in his face. It becomes less about keeping himself in check and more about getting you to lose first.

It’s barely the 10th of November, neither of you have made a provocative move yet. Albeit at this point just about everything you do turns him on. Ed misses touching and holding you, and as much as he hates to admit it, it’s frustrating as hell for him. 

You bent down to pick something off the floor and before you know it, you’re launched onto the couch with Ed instantly hovering over you. 

You both may have lost, but you never felt more like a winner seeing how you made Gotham’s enigma snap. 

Gotham City Sirens Riddler (10 out of 10):

Oohh, this seems fun. 

It’ll definitely break up the monotony of you two’s day to day. Especially seeing as how after particular difficult cases, he either rushes home to you or puts in a call from his office for you to…um…visit. 

The lengths he goes to to distract himself from wandering about you however, proves to be the primary challenge. More often than not he’s rubbed one out at his desk when you weren’t available or he was just too wound up to move anymore. 

You may find a dart board with ten darts in it and littered with various miniscule holes. You’ll see stacks of files. One day organized by alphabet, the next shelved by chronological order. 

Edward is a mess that’s one more bad day away, one more outlandish case from absolutely railing you on the nearest surface. However, he finds relief when he glances at his calendar and sees it’s December 1st. Grinning, he decides to close his office early and come straight home to you. 

Young Justice Riddler (-5 out of 10):

Okay, first of all. How dare you, t-this is just absolutely cruel. The poor baby girl can’t even handle holding hands or cheek kisses?? 

You have to go over the rules with him a few times. One is to make sure he understands, the second is for it to sink in how royally screwed he is…ironically. He tries, the sweetheart absolutely does try but he doesn’t even last a day. 

Ed couldn’t help it, you just looked so pretty and you just had to kiss his cheek cause he “looks so cute.” Whatever blood was there that flushed his face went straight down to his groin and he was bricked up before he even got to the bathroom. 

Telltale Riddler (11 out of 10):

This old bag rolls his eyes at the challenge. Much like Arkhamverse, he finds it extremely primitive and stupid waste of time and energy. He indulges you though, on the sole purpose of seeing you get riled up and flustered. 

You don’t even get to try and tease him or make him break. He’s already somehow three steps ahead of you. He infiltrates your thoughts and gets under your skin like a crusty rugged viper. All of a sudden it became a test more so for you than him. 

He wins by a dumb landslide. Ed chuckled pleased, of course he’d win, you shouldn’t expect any less. Now…his prize?

Hush (DCAU) Riddler (4.5 out of 10):

Much like a few other Riddlers on here, this Ed tries fumbling convince you that he would win. He won’t fall for your flirtatious wiles…however that’s not what he had to be concerned with. 

It would be the middle of the month, like November 20th or 25th almost more than halfway through. He’s bound up tight, his stress on the brink of tipping over, but he tries to remind himself the reward will be worth it. Not to mention the absolute bragging rights…

Until he has a run-in with Batman or he’s the butt of another joke among the Rogues Gallery. His confidence is crushed. You don’t even have to ask him what’s wrong, you can just tell. You’re the only one that can make him feel like he’s worth something, that he is a somebody. 

You make all the mocking sneers, jeers, and cackles go away.

Let the poor man lose, and let him lose sweetly. There’s always next year.

Hello! x An eXCELlent question, truly, one of my favorite activities became gushing over anything nct related at this point asdfgh. Short disclaimer: No ones birth chart is ‘bad’, in astrology there isn’t such thing as a ‘bad’ birth chart, this is all just my personal preference and has nothing to do with the native of the natal chart, there’s no favoritism playing into this, just plain astrological interest!

Taeyong: I think I’ve mentioned before that I really really like his birth chart!! I love the different elements and modalities playing into it, it truly is a very good representation of the chaotic, yet sincere and creative individual he is, just really following the beat of his own drum! Also, he’s such a warm and kind person that just really shows in his chart. I do have to say that I love love love Virgo Mars people, I generally love Virgo placements and people with profound Virgo influence, but Taeyong is really hard working and caring and it truly ties to the expectations he not only has for himself, but also that he feels responsible for other people by nature probably (Mars in Virgo in the 7th, especially in opposition to his Saturn) and his really bright and carefree creative streak really shines through with that Sagittarius MC and Gemini Mercury and Venus!! I also mean this with 100% positivity when I say he’s really quirky, always a little bit ‘out of the box’ compared to other people and still just a really authentic person, no matter how ‘odd’ he might come across and his chart just really shows that: being true and sincere because there’s nothing else he can do than being true to himself! An absolute unit, a cancerian enigma as it is written in the books!! 

Jeno: Finally I get the opportunity to talk about this chart!!! Because oh boy do I have opinions on this!!!! First of all: He is an earth sign with a Sagittarius Moon and I love love love this combination in general, especially with his Venusian sun and a Jupiterian Moon it makes for a person that can create a really nice atmosphere, just really pleasant to be with and probably values the good things in life (that defenitely included the small things!!). Looking at Jenos joyous vibe the combi just seems to make sense, I also love the combination of his Taurus stellium and the Aries Venus and Mercury, the dynamic of fixed earth and cardinal fire usually makes a person that is really determined and ambitious. I know it’s not the same as having an Aries Mars, but nontheless Aries energy can create sparks of creativity that the Taurean nature wants to pursue and can actually pull through, because if there’s one thing Taurus is good at then it’s being persistant about anything they love and put their heart in! 

Yuta: I’ve written quiet a bit about his chart, and to be honest my opinion of his chart changed over time, because of his personality and the way we got to know him. In a way, the more I’ve seen of Yuta, the more intruiged I was by the way his birth chart lives out; his chart seems pretty overwhelming at first glance, but what I do love are his two stelliums of Scorpio and Sagittarius. The dynamic of these two neighboring signs is literally diving deep, feeling even more deeper and then fully letting go of it to look into the future and at life with a hopeful and excited attitude. I think his birth chart also reflect the potential of someone self reflected and restless, always being up for transformation and not stagnating, because self developement is the only thing that make sense: with his the individual might feel like they need to surrender to this energy, and eventually it’s true. I think..he’s just a good reflection of his birth chart, I think there’s no other way for him than making sense of all this energy clusters that are in his chart anyway, but yes! I think he’s just an enigma and I’m here for it!!!

Xiaojun: Okay, I will say one thing I love Leo sun in combination with cancer placements, preferably Moon and Mercury. I just noticed that Leo people with profound Cancer in their chart are so incredibly warm people and they just want nothing more than love, they really just want pure and unfiltered emotion and they gladly give this back in return. I think needless to say this makes for a very sensitive person, and Xiaojun defenitely is that too, but it also makes them give that same amount of empathy back and especially the combination with Virgo Venus creates it a wish for devotion. I will be honest I usually I am always a tat critical when I see Scorpio Mars placed in the chart of a fire sign, but I think with him it just adds to this wholehearted and passionate nature of his, plus I think this makes for a really tough cookie, I think viewing his chart critically the first thing that one would notice is the huge water sign energy, but he also has lots of fixed sign modality playing into it, so I firmly believe he is a real go getter, motivated by his passions and working quietly on it instead of being a bragger (because this might just bite him back in the end). 

Kun: I will be very honest, the first impression of his chart was a ‘........oh no’ for me asdfgh, same with Yutas chart, just because of the huge stellium they both share, for Kun it would be his 5 planets in Capricorn. Stelliums are usually known to be a very tricky thing to have in ones birth chart, most of the time stelliums can symbolize a crossroad of potentials and thus can end in a lot of indecisevness for an individual. I think Kun is just one of the best examples of how far one can push the possibilities of a stellium, especially if we consider his confirmed birth time, thus giving him also a 6th house stellium. I think I’m just really fascinated how 6th house stelliums play out (look at Bang Chans 6th house stellium, that guy does everything and is everyhwere, just like Kun) and if we stick to the rules of astrology, hoh boy does his facial bone structure reflect this huge Caprciorn influence, and now to top it all of with my personal preferences: I have a huge huge soft spots for Taurus Moons and I think I like the combination of his Capricorn sun and Taurus Moon a lot, overall his chart just reflects his determination and ambitious nature, work is done thoroughly and attentively, and let’s not forget that his determination is also a big representation of how much he cares (Taurus Moon in the 10th?? It’s more likely than you think asdfgh). 

Jungwoo: It’s all because of his Scorpio Moon, I’m outing myself now, Water suns with Water Moons, especially when the Moon is in Scorpio and Pisces, usually have something very magnetic about them, same can be said with Water suns with Water risings. I think the interest and strong liking I build for his chart came along with his personality, another enigma at hands, Jungwoo is a really nuanced person and I really enjoy when he talks honestly about his feelings and other members in interviews, or just talks casually in vlives, because it gives you a good glance of anything beside his really funny and goofy side (which is by the way no form of complaint here, if there’s one thing no one wants to miss it’s Jungwoos shenanigans asdfgk). I don’t know why but teh first time I looked at his chart I just said ‘Huh???’ out loud because I was really suprised by his Moon sign and Venus. He has an Aquarius and Pisces stellium and i think this might overshadow the other placements a lot, especially since his Sun is in a degree of 0 and his Neptune as well (as Neptune rules Pisces it would be good to look at that planet as well lol). Well yeah, i think it only make sense that everyone got so intruiged by Jungwoo over the last time, I kind of feel the same as with Jaehyun with him, all that Aquarius and Pisces makes people have a harder time seeing them ‘clearly’ at times and also probably projecting a lot on them, so yeah. This is my statement asdfghjk

Sungchan: He’s a Virgo sun, what can I say, that already made me happy asdfghj but I do like the Earth Sun and Water Moon combo, it’s also funny that he has a planet occupying every sign from Gemini to Libra, especially since they’re all personal, plus his Mars in Capricorn of course. Since Sungchan is new to nct I still am very hesitant to making any statement but overall I just like to look at the chart, it seems just very balanced and I can’t wait to sotr his placements to various reactions and moments in a year when we have a lot of content at hand! 

Chenle: I know his sun sign could actually vary, but I will hold close to him being a Scorpio, he has an Aquarius stellium as well (seriously 60% of nct has an Aquarius stellium, despite the fact that they already have so many Aquarians in the band asdfghjkl), which squares his Scorpio stellium, and then add the trine to his Saturn and his Jupiter to it. Maybe that’s a very weird reason, but I like the way the chart physically looks (yes that is maybe not really based on any astrological explainations, but it’s just really interesting to look at). I also do know another Scorpio sun with Aquarius Moon in real life, and they do have their similarities, I also see a lot of Aquarius and Scorpio friends and couples in real life, so even though these signs square the other, I think they seem to find common ground or make amends pretty quickly. I think it’s just the mix of energies that clash here that are really intruiging to me!

The days had grown long and hard, spending one half of their time doing excruciating press and the other performing a straining gig. The job was simply getting tougher, and the girls louder. Paul could no longer hear himself sing or hear how he played. How was he supposed to know how he was doing? How was he supposed to know if he made a mistake? The love for performing live was slowly weaning out… And all signs pointed to the rest of the band feeling the same. George just didn’t care anymore. John was changing the words in the songs to something crass because ‘they wouldn’t hear the difference’ and Ringo… Ringo, darling, did the best he could from his hiding position behind them. He could hear them just as well as they could hear themselves and had informed Paul one evening that he just watched their feet and the shake of their heads to see wherein the set they were. And he ended that sentence with calling Paul cute, earning himself a sweet kiss and cuddle.

Today had been no different. Paul felt worn down and well beyond exhausted once he finally arrived at the hotel and, after taking with various press, made his way to the room he shared with Ringo. His ears rang still from the loud, thumbing, bass he held for so long- the sensation of it still going through heavy in his thumbs. He followed along with the other men, John laughing loudly at something he had said to George; their exhaustion clear, shining through their laughter and smiles. Paul could feel Ringo’s hand bump against his own as they parted ways with the half of the Beatles and went into their separate rooms. And if fully embraced his once the door closed behind them. He looked to his lover with a tired smile and kissed him on the cheek.

“I’m so tired,” he muttered, stifling a yawn in the process, as they went towards the bed together.  Ringo softly rubbed the knuckles of his pale hand and Paul felt him slowly letting himself relax as he sat down on the hard hotel bed. A jeweled hand cupped his cheek delicately, and the drummer leaned forward to join him in a slow, tender kiss. “Lay down, love,” Ringo said with an easy smile. “And I’ll take care of you.”

“Oh?” 

Paul chuckled easily, tentatively; curious as to what his boyfriend had in mind. He laid back and sighed at the cool feeling the linens awarded his warm skin, finally letting the attempt of relaxation go through his body that was slowly the last of its strength. He felt his boyfriend’s finger pull his shirt upwards and silently let him do so, ready for whatever his lover had in mind… as long as it wasn’t all too straining. The shirt went over his head, messing up his hair, and he gave a breathy chuckle as he looked at Ringo looking down upon him from a very unflattering angle. Ringo placed a quick peck on his forehead before softly pleading him to turn over on his stomach; a plea of which Paul was quick to follow. Slowly, he felt Ringo’s hands move over his tired muscles. Over his shoulders down to his waist in slow and delicate movements. He felt himself slowly relaxing and dozing off under the soft touching and caring love of his lover.

- Tom was running through the lights set up but his scene names were so fucking funny omfg 

- Y’ALL since it was the very last show, when the Leading Players tell the others to get rid of the set, the cast LITERALLY RIPPED IT THE FUCK DOWN IT LOOKED SO GREAT. IT WAS VISUALLY AND CONCEPTUALLY SEXY. Like obviously I get why it couldn’t be done the other two shows but like....oh man do I wish they could’ve done it every performance omfg

- The Leading Players were doing the 50/50 raffle at intermission and they were in character and we had lights down with a spot sweeping around the room for dramatic effect and it looked cool but no one could see their fucking tickets asdfg they ended up breaking character and everyone was just cracking up lol

- oh my God the chapel scene where Charlemagne does a whole monologue and the LPs interrupt to tell him how good it was before he jumps back into the scene- Steven WHIPPED back into the scene SO FAST it was hilarious where’s his tony nom

- when the Leading Players went after Theo at the end the crowd went nuts like they were cheering so fucking hard and when the blacklight came up??? You could feel the amount of Shook

- People finally laughed at Catherine’s solo like...that’s a funny song but she’s been singing it to a silent audience all weekend omg I was starting to feel bad

- The interpretive dance when they have sex was VERY well received lmao

- honestly like...I don’t think anything went wrong? I’m truly shocked tbh but I’m thrilled for the kids

- Also the director paid me A Lot More Than What I Was Expecting so overall this was a solid day. I’m gonna? Miss it? Idk this show felt different from the past two like part of me thinks this was an elaborate dream and I never worked Pippin at all, you know? lol

God okay so firstly I’d been bugging her for a literal month to go because I didn’t want to go to the theater alone and like. She was so against this lmao

“You liked the miniseries and it wasn’t even that good!!” *Me, texting my friend later* ‘She’s literally gonna hate this movie so much the cursing alone will give her a heart attack lol’

We went to the movie tavern bc birthday giftcards, and she had never been there before but was immediately Sold lol. She ordered a glass of wine but with their portions there it was really two glasses and she was loosing her mind over that and the reclining seats lmao

She almost actually screamed when Georgie got his arm ripped off and I was like? What were you expecting???

Oh God she was forcibly exposed to a lot of New Kids On The Block in the 80′s so she was literally dying every time there was a joke about them. Ben’s poster had us c a c k l i n g

Omfg I forget when in the movie but there was some scene with all the bowers boys and my mom was like “…Why is that boy’s nose so small?” and I’m like “What??” and she goes “How does he live with that” and I’m still laughing about it

Lmao at one point she was complaining she had to go to the bathroom and I’m like?? Just go then??? And she looks at me and is like “I don’t want to miss anything!” and the sheer anger in her eyes over the fact she had to admit she was seriously enjoying the movie LMAO

So she ended up missing the entire Rock War™ and literally walked back into the theater just in time for “GO BLOW YOUR DAD, YOU MULLET WEARING ASSHOLE” her face I was dying

I tried to tell her what she missed but she could not comprehend what a rock war was omfg how many times did I have to say ‘they were throwing rocks at each other’?? Too many times.

My mom, reclined back in the chair, sipping her wine, “This is like the most relaxing movie experience I’ve ever had.”

When they were all going back to save Bev and Mike grabbed the gun: “Does he have to escalate like that?” 

“….Their friend’s life is in danger.”

When Henry started getting possessed, we got a deadpan “Oh no…not a balloon.” 

I fully admit to screaming slightly when It was LITERALLY EATING STANLEY’S FACE but she got so judgey @ me because of it??? lol Like mom I’m sorry you apparently have 0% maternal instincts but these kids are STRESSING ME OUT

Not to mention she screamed MOMENTS LATER at the heads floating in the sewer lmao

But overall she went home and called her usual gossips™ to complain that she had actually super enjoyed the movie.

This is literally the first time in over two decades that I’ve seen a movie with this woman and she stayed awake the entire time. That speaks volumes to me lmao
