What the fuck is the "book community" there's no community. Books are a fact of life, they aren't some fad. You read to learn, to grow, and to experience things you couldn't in your regular life. They aren't something you can ignore. Everyone reads. Humans have lived surrounded by words for thousands of years. That's like saying that there's a "breathing community" or a "walking community." Books are a fact of life, not some new over-consumption tinted fad for corporations to sink their grimy teeth into. To imply a community is to imply so.eone outside of that community. And there shouldn't be a single person who doesn't read. That's like gatekeeping the concept of love. I couldn't imagine a more bleak setting than a world where reading and books are absent.

What we are seeing is a global movement toward hyper-conservatism. This is a direct effect of the neo-feudalistic corporate overlords. These ultra-powerful surrealestate owners have an economic stranglehold on our states, which allows them to exert pressure on the citizens in said states and impose their own rule on the populace. We saw this with Musk controlling operations in Ukraine, with Meta's new policies regarding restrictions on social and gender speech on their platforms and the political melding of corporate and political America. We are currently in the new economic revolution, and we aren't headed towards some new utopia of freedom, but heading back towards feudal lords and godlike monarchs.

A truly totalitarian government will use the hyper-reactionary populous' fascination with the absurd and irresponsible to obfuscate their actual goals. They will scapegoat minorities and manufacture crises that the main news organizations will sensationalize for the purpose of dividing the populous. We are currently seeing a scandalous leader rise to power, over the coming months he will engage in a series of seemingly idiotic ventures. Do not be fooled, these undertakings exist solely to distract the citizens from the actually important actions they ruling party will take.
