Remembering my legacy story...
That tag has me thinking about my legacy story and how the story was shaped by my discoveries and ignorance while learning about this game. The first few generations were kind of tragic. I played vanilla and on normal life, and it took me until the day before X's birthday to get married. I was so scared he was gonna die without children, causing me to fail the challenge on the first try lol. He actually was engaged before, but his fiancé showed up the night before the wedding as an elder!! My boy had to start all over. UGH! He eventually found someone, but he had to propose to her three times! FINALLY he got married and had two children before he croaked.
His wife died on their son's teen birthday, leaving both children an orphan! I was terrified social services was gonna come and take them away! 🤣 I didn't know yet that teenagers were just baby-faced adults. 😑 But man, that period was hard. Those poor kids had to grow up way too fast. They got jobs to pay the bills, and they had almost zero free time. They were tired ALL the time because all they did was work. They had their jobs, but they also had a garden they had to take care of because the flowers paid the lion's share of the bills. They stopped doing their homework because it took up too much time. Their grades plummeted, and the principal called every day. But somehow I discovered you could have their birthdays at any time, so I aged the oldest one up like 4 or 5 days early because those poor kids needed a break!
(more generations under the cut)
At the end of generation two and through three, I felt like I had a good handle on the game and what it could do, so my curiosity came out and so did Stories By Jes2G lol. That's when this story started to get real messy LOL. My heir had a girlfriend, but the relationship wasn't really going anywhere so he started seeing this other girl. But he didn't know girlfriend #1 was pregnant! He fell all the way in love with girlfriend #2, moved her in (learned my lesson from gen 1!!), married her, and knocked her up. They had a happy little family for a while. No sooner than he forgot about girlfriend #1, the bastard son showed up at his door all casual like my mama said you're my daddy...nice house! 🤣 That did not go over well. As a matter of fact, his wife was very upset and tried to burn off some steam on the treadmill. But she was an elder and... RIP Adalynn.
Generation four was when I learned just how much you can learn about your characters just by letting them be autonomous and watching them go. The tragedy of this generation was what happens when two horny teens get married out of high school lol. Those two had nothing in common and led two separate lives under the same roof. That was partly because I was focused on making them complete their aspirations, but also they rarely interacted with each other when they were autonomous. The wife was a career woman and was not interested in having a third child. But the first two were girls, and this legacy was a strict patriarchy and I needed a son. That caused a lot of drama in the story, but he found a way to make her give in. But things were never the same, and she eventually divorced him and left the kids which of course affected the next generation.
Every generation up til like...seven had some kind of drama/tragedy, and I didn't realize it until I stopped and read the story myself. I was like WHOA! This is so much! This is what I put my readers through? LOL I made sure to tone things down in the second half of gen 8 because we needed the break. We had peace and happiness for a while followed by a veeery slow burn. Then I kicked the drama back up and ended on a hopeful tragic note, bring back the fall out from the gen 3 mess. It was a great ride!
I used to love building in The Sims 3, but something about this game's building mechanics completely turned me off. To be honest, I don't quite know what it is about building that just infuriates me. So the generations two through like...eight(???), my legacy house was made up of styled rooms lol. I honestly don't know anyone else who even used those things. I'd just piece together those rooms and close them in with walls lol. Needless, the legacy house was very odd and much bigger than it needed to be because of all these oddly shaped blank spaces. 😅 I made use of every single one of them too!

Our Willow Creek Royals’ One Year Anniversary!!! - A Big Rewind
We have done it!! Today is my blog’s one year anniversary and I cannot believe we have reached this moment! We all know this has been a tragic year with the Co-vid19 hitting the world, the cruel murder of George Floyd, the fires in Australia, Brazil and Argentina, and so many more tragic situations. However, I always try to look on the bright side and I have to say that writting this blog for you is the brightest things I had this year. So thank you so much for sticking with me for a whole year! I hope you are all doing well at home ♥
So because my blog is now one year old, I wanted to go back to the most important moments of the Hammond Family with a little insight to the planning and writting. There are A LOT, so I may divide this rewind into four posts, so you don’t get too overwhelmed. At the end of the rewind, I’ll be sharing with you a gift for this holidays and to celebrate the anniversary :) The first three pictures you can see above are my first three portraits, back when Emilia was the Queen and Margaret was a cute toddler. I’m going to share some of the first moments here today for your to review. I hope you like it!!
1) Andrew being introduced to the realm: So you all may already noticed but Andrew is probably my favourite character from his generation. Of course, everyone doesn’t agree with me because of his past with the ladies, but Andrew is a good man, and I was very happy when he came to this world :P
2) Henry’s coronation: Ok, THIS EVENT! My god, it was a real challenge back then! I had no idea of how to make a coronation, and I didn’t even know if any other royal simblrs (at the time we were 7 I think!) to send their sims, so I was so nerveous and stressed!! Here is were I have to thank four people that really inspired me and helped through this first year, and those simblrs are: @thesimmonarchy, @royaltysimblr, @thesimpireblr and @batsfromwesteros I mean, I only had 60 followers back then (which was unbelievable to me!) and, to be honest, I didn’t think they will agree on working with me, but they did!! This was my first royal event ever and I’m so grateful to all the four of you for sending your sims ♥
3) Isabella’s first portrait with the family: And then there were three!! Believe it or not, after Andrew was born, I didn’t plan this particular pregnancy! As you may have noticed at my throwback series with Henry and Sofia, there is post where Henry is talking to Sofia’s belly (to Margaret) and he mentions that they will only have two kids. HA! Well, that was my plan! But these two did what they pleased! Something that I really like is to let te game decide some parts of the story cause, otherwise, it stops being fun to me. So we could say Isabella was a beautiful accident, lol.
4) Margaret becomes the Crown Princess / First Royal Portrait: Ahhh my Crown Princess! For a moment, my story was all about Margaret, wasn’t it? Well, I have to say that I really enjoyed playing with teen Margaret, and now I get to play with her once more with the new throwback series :)
5) Emilia’s passing: No body probably cares about this after I’ve shown you how cruel this sim was to our good old Henry, but this death OMG!! I was so depressed! Emilia was the first sim that I saw being born in the story, and her death was so sad to me! (I know she looks different from the throwback series, but I was using anothe skin overlay back then, and I changed it for the series.)
6) Margaret’s first visit to Oasis Springs: Oh, the moment! So, this is the moment I’m currently showing you with the new throwback series. Margaret visited Oasis Springs with her great aunt Amelia, and she met Cristobal then. They actually met when they were kids, but it was a formal situation, so it doesn’t count. I was so scared when I introduced Cristobal to all of you because of what was going to happen later on, but you were all very happy with him.
7) Margaret and Cristobal dating: And of course, they dated for like 3 sim years? Timing is not really my thing :P So, this was the time when things started to go wrong, actually. We all know the story, BUT what I had in mind was totally different back then. I was actually going to kill Cristobal in order to ruin Margaret’s life. Yeah, I was so mean! But then I changed my mind and decided to do something... less painful? I recently used this with Isabella’s boyfriend Logan.
8) Henry and Sofia welcome the twins: Again, another pregnancy! So, as you know, I play with several households cause there’s no way all my characters can live in the same house, so when I’m done playing with one I move to the other. I was playing with George’s household, and then I came back to Henry’s and - shocking!- Sofia was pregnant again! I don’t know if this happens to every other creator, but that’s what usually happens to me. I leave to play with another household, and when I come back, someone is pregnant! Anyway, the twins were born and that was another big surprise.
8) Andrew becoming a teen: This was the moment when people started to notice Andrew, lol. So, you probably don’t remember, but one mystery follower had a crush on Andrew, this person would usually send anons asking about him or throwing shade at his girlfriends.
9) The twins’ first portrait with the family: I love this portrait, even though the lighting is terrible! I remember thinking “This is it! This is the complete royal family!” But I didn’t know of Henry and Sofia’s plans!!
10) Cristobal’s engagement to Alice: And I guess the 10th moment goes to Cristobal and his engagement to poor Alice Stone (she wasn’t poor, she had a horrible marriage.) How could we forget about the time when Prince Cristobal announced his engagement to Alice on the same day Margaret turned 21?! This was something I hated doing, but that really boosted the interaction with you guys! After this, a lot of people started sending asks and throwing hate at Cristobal and his family. Well, you may do that again since we are going to see this from the inside on the new throwback series!
To be continued.

After an Anonymous plan to travel together with my girlfriends we chose Bali. It wasn’t my first choice but the flights are cheap from Aus and food and hotels too; for sure then why not!!! And literally, it was ok! didn’t cost me much. So we planning started 3 months before. Just a plan! PLAN!!! (which doesn’t work really work out most of the time)
Anyways in April, we should have been three of us in the tour but one of my girlfriends couldn’t make it due to passport delay in the embassy. However, two of us were on a gooooo….
Well, I booked my ticket with the transit in Singapore for 12hrs which let me go in free Singapore tour by the Chiang Mai airport (This is another story will share it soon)
Arrival in the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, aka BALI! Reached there around 8 pm and lucky Nepalese travellers!!! you don’t need a visa. YeaH!!! (Nepalese don’t need visa if u stay less than 30days ). Fuzz start when u are a tourist and need a ride to Hotel after touchdown to the island. So, people you better take a blue taxi if u want to save your budget and run taxi in meters :D. Reached hotel meet my friend after a year. Had local dinner nearby the restaurant and off to bed.
Day 1 Haha! Woke up late. Then we hired a scooter from the hotel then off to ride (renting a bike is quite cheap there IDR 50000- 70000 per 24 hrs/day). Then we got ourselves sim cards and off to the road… Thank God there is GPS. We passed through Kuta street and man! It was vibrant in all possible terms. Uluwatu Temple was the first destination cause it was on the edge of the map lol! Well, its looked far away in a drive and city is crowded as every other city. We came to see a beautiful couple taking their photo nearby the cliff and it was spectacular.
lady by the cliff
Uluwatu Temple

relax, see, enjoy, rest
Couples near the cliff for wedding photo
lovely couples, capturing their wedding
Tip: Beware of the monkeys they will snatch everything possible. Carry a candy bar in your pockets to batter your belongings. Well, there are locals who will save you for sure.
Next destination after there was the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), a cultural park. Have you experienced a disastrous moment well it was the first one when we were there? Scooter stopped and didn’t start at all. NOT my Fault (fault in our star damn!) but the generous staff in the GWK helped us start the bike. And we were there first thing first we enjoyed the ice cream mad on the cold slab.
It was great then the view of GWK well it was architectural delineation for sure. The Indra log was amazing well it was a place for famous events in Bali for music concerts and parties.
GWK

Well, you can spend whole day over there watching various theatre shows done for the visitors and we were able to witness few of them as the Vishnu (wishanu dance/ art); taaktaktaktak dance and the beautiful music until the end.
On our way back to the hotel we went to the beach nearby called double six beaches no wonder why! Grab the beer and enjoy the view! Not really it was dark ! man! Lol though the music was good and the atmosphere was chilled. Bintang the Indonesian beer…
Day 2 So no hangover, but still not an early bird, so on the second day we changed the scooter and we head to Ubud the monkey forest. This day was amazing first we encounter the notorious and mischievous monkeys. Rule 1 do not try to be friendly with them. Rule 2 don’t look in the eye or you will fall in love not but trouble (guides said it meant war if you stare at them lol).
After all that we escape the monkeys and headed to the famous tergalalang rice field. The view was great as it is seen in Instagram and Bali lookout but a bit crowded. Lots of people and lots of ways to be there. However, we were there and no need for tickets but there were kids that were trying to sell souvenir and stuff and local who maintained the field were collecting generosity ($) for themselves. Recommended to visit this area. Enjoy the view with coconut water for sure and that the exact place where we planned our next stop..
Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Bali
On the way to tegenungan waterfall sukawati we stopped by the Luwak coffee farm to taste the local famous coffee which is literally a shit of an animal named PLAM Civet (Luwak). The coffee was great and as a bonus we were given around 12 kinds of tea for testing which were amazing. About tea testing, you will be seeing a video soon.
Coffee testing

Luwak poop ! the coffee beans
Special Luwak coffee
Must say it was a lovely day, now that we were close to the waterfall, we didn’t have spare clothes to change but then you only get one chance in a lifetime, therefore, take a dip and live. So I bought lungi like pyjama there for IDR 100,000 which is a nice gift too for later. Well, you need to buy a ticket for the entry though. So we were there and lots of other people too.
the red flag in left bottom side. do not go i repeat do not go
Tegenungan Waterfall
I would say this is the part where I came back from death, thanks to lifeguards there. There are unusual timing in life when you wanna be a rebel but there is devil waiting for you to end. So, what happened was I went to the water to take a photo but somehow I wanted to feel that one of life time moment and swim in the waterfall. So, as you can guess the whirlpool pulled me and my friend was taking a video thinking I was swimming like a pro but not. However, those lifeguards on standby saved me with the rubber tube well I lost my words and sense for some time but must say was one of the LIFETIME MOMENT!!!! Hence, guess be safe. Under the waterfall, there is sign which is marked with a flag for danger so avoid those areas. Sad thing photo didn’t come out well…
Well that was the day end of story for so far for which I get teased by my friends DIVE = DIE Day 3 This day weather was gloomy when we started to head out. So this day we went to Tanah Lot temple, the temple on the sea; next to the sea! Well, that place was amazing but I wonder what it would look like during sunset cause it popular for that.
temple
vendor with paper bird
flying paper ship
Well, there were parts of temple one being across the sea or shall say it was 100meter away from the mainland! You need to cross the gap between the lands via walk. And holy God, there were water snakes! Or some kind of snakes which is suppose to be gods relative or god themselves. One thing I am most afraid of is a snake and holy cra* Lord there they were but no harm. So I took blessing form the priest there and rushed back.
oh weather!!! It started to rain a lot but still then we ended up going out and soaking in the rain. As per my friend’s request, we went to blue lagoon which is supposed to be the best beach in Bali for snorkelling and beach time. Damn! It was beach day for us like b*tc$ day. It never stopped. We stopped by several stops to escape the rain but rain was all over us (rain on me!!!!! ) Somehow we reached there at the end. While we were there it stopped for a while and when we went to hotel it was raining again.
blue lagoon was really blue
Weather forecast for the next day seemed tragic so we rented the van and driver for next day.
while we wait for the rain to stop
Day 4 So on this day, we were supposed to go to 3 places as per our booking cause they were long distanced and off hills. First of all, we went to view Mt. Kintamani Volcano which took us more than 2 hours reach that viewpoint next we went to Pura Besakih temple which is known to be the biggest Hindu temple in Bali. It was a festival season so it was crowded by the devotees and tourist. We had an epic story here with the guide in the temple too. Bust the place was mesmerising.
Day 5 Coming to end of our tour, last day for us in Bali(supposed to be) hence I want to go all around Bali before I go back to place where I come from. cause we had been too limited areas only. There for DAY 5 was 270+ km tour for us in the bike.
First Stop: Pura Ulun Danu Bratan
Second stop: famous pancasari door (Got to get one of those shot)
Third stop: Gitgit waterfall
kid trying to sell her hand made craft
Fourth stop: Kubu beach for lunch and relax in the swimming pool which also is a great place for diving for starters
this place is famous for snorkelling and underwater diving
relax by the sea and pool with few cocktails always relaxing
Fifth stop: Tirta Ganga
lets take selfie for one and then there they are
family picture with their character
After that as for the finishing touch, we went to Candi Dasa beach where the sunset was beautiful.
Sunset in the Candidasa beach or horizon…..
more stories to share… it will continue to another blog… (solo travel; beach relax day, food, turtles, food, rest…)
any enquiries email in [email protected] ready to help

We all have them. Little bits of our stories that exist only in our heads. Things we know but never seem to find a way to share for whatever reason. Or maybe you’ve mentioned it in passing but haven’t gotten a chance to explain. Either way, here’s your opportunity to spill!
Copy and paste this into a new post and then tell us five (5!) little bits of trivia about your story. It can be about the characters, plot, you name it. Then tag a few storytelling friends and keep the game going!
I was tagged by @boomchicapopdat. Thanks, sis!
Man...which story do I do? Most of you guys here aren’t familiar with my stories because they’re on WordPress, but I’ll play along! At one point in my life, I was working on 4 stories at once. SMH I do not recommend that lol. I’ve completed all but one of them! For this tag, I think I’ll talk about Discovering Juliana because it was the only non-game-driven story I have and has the most backstory and stuff I never got to say. Let’s go!
1. I could never explain Juliana’s nationality in the story because I didn’t have the foresight at the beginning to make the characters humans and not sims. Problem is, all sims speak the same language. Because of that, I could never say expressly what language Juliana spoke which made it near impossible to name her nationality. However, the story did say she was from Monte Vista, and everyone who’s ever played TS3 knows it’s based on Italy so the story heavily implied she was Italian. The ONLY reason she spoke Spanish when I wrote her in “her language” was because that is the only language I know well enough to not depend on Google Translate LOL. They’re similar enough, right?
2. Juliana is Catholic and was raised in a very strict Catholic home. Even though faith was a huge part of her life, it didn’t really take root in her life as deeply as her parents. She is what I call “God conscious.” She believes there is a God and respects His authority, but beyond that she doesn’t really know what she believes. So, when she arrived in Willow Creek, she didn’t have a church to go to or her mom around to remind her to pray and what not. Of course she still prayed, but her new environment caused so much confusion. No one went to church or even spoke about God. Things she was not allowed to do at home were commonplace in her new home. There was a stark contrast between her two lives, and it kind of through her faith for a loop.
Harriett, the matriarch of the Humphries family, was a spiritual person and would probably be something like southern baptist. But, like I said, I didn’t have the foresight to do anything with this. I began this story in 2015 when the game was just a few months old. It was my second foray into the SimLit world, and I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Oh well.
3. Faith actually served as a backdrop for many elements in this story. The number one element is the family drama and why the Humphries children treat Harriett like a pest they wanted to be rid of. I always imagined her being someone who is loud and proud of her faith but not necessarily sensitive to others about it. She forced them all to go to church and nagged them about what they should and shouldn’t be doing and ended up driving them away. Harold remained neutral. He didn’t share her beliefs, but he liked that she had them and found value in some principles. He wanted her to teach those things to the children so she could raise them “right.”
4. Kevin’s first marriage was more tragic than the story let on. You know Caroline died. You also know that when Kevin discovered his feelings for Juliana, he kinda questioned his relationship with Caroline. I have a whole dissertation on that LOL. The long and short of it is Kevin didn’t have deep love with Caroline. I struggle to say he didn’t love her, but sometimes I think that’s accurate. They had fireworks. She was his first real relationship. Also, he had a deep need for connection and roots resulting from his parents dying when he was a kid, being raised by an uncle who didn’t care for him, and being estranged from his family. They got married far too quickly than they needed to and didn’t know each other as well as they should. They fought a lot, and the makeup sex was hot.
5. I’m not sure if I can think of a 5th thing! I’ll tagging care of my tagging duties now lol. @maladi777 @notjustabooksims @mrsracooney @tripstaysnoided @capricornsim @eslanes

Share an adventure/ epic long story short After an Anonymous plan to travel together with my girlfriends we chose Bali. It wasn’t my first choice but the flights are cheap from Aus and food and hotels too; for sure then why not!!!
