#Marvel#Marvel comics#Marvel 616#Moon Knight vol. 9#Moon Knight 2021#Moon Knight comics#latest release#Moon Knight#Moon Knight Ladies#Niecy#Blade#Eric Brooks#I really respect how succinctly they were able to convey Niecy’s whole deal#and I’m really excited by what this means for the type of individual Khonshu selects to be his Fist#as we see here we’re getting ‘actually rather morally conscientious and someone who values justice despite being what some might#describe as ‘unprincipled/not rooted any one moral system’’#and idk what I’m getting from Niecy (and what about her that really reminds me of Hunter’s Moon) is how completely they devote themselves#to this new purpose#and particularly in Niecy’s case how much it of has become her identity#(and I mean Hunter’s Moon isn’t much better in that we still don’t know his full name either!!!)#but yeah makes for some interesting parallels with Marc#in that it’s interesting for how good Marc was originally intended to be at creating ‘cover identities’ (which were later developed#by writers/we learn to be alters)#Marc has yet to blend quite as thoroughly into the role of Moon Knight as Niecy and Dr. Badr#he’s on multiple occasions to metaphorically bury Marc Spector and has gone through the world as Steven Grant and/or Jake Lockley#but I guess he’s just got too many problems with authority to let Khonshu dictate that much of who he is#and you know what I just find characters on either end of the spectrum when it comes to how much of their identity they invest#in the Khonshu’s Fist persona to be fascinating#oh wait I thought I was done but one last thought#there’s also the possibility that Niecy’s so down with being Khonshu’s Fist because this is a way she can truly affect change
