#zero escape#zero escape spoilers#gentarou hongou#999 spoilers#just recently dove into zero escape and had the unfortunate and seemingly common experience of choosing him as my favorite#unfortunately my taste is trash so he's still my favorite even after peepaw goes apeshit#something about his motives being rooted in a hollow and a search for connection#but he consistently forgoes the few connections he has forged#in favor of his preferred method of problem solving: violence#when you're so obsessed about knowing what it's like to be a real person that you're willing to vivisect others#(read: toss little girls into incinerators)#as the wiki puts it: “ace seems skilled in the art of murder”#he cannot defeat himself
