ff7 remake anon again! but yeah i do think it could go rlly interesting places if done well (plsss). bc i dont rlly have the spoons to watch a lets play of the og game, i have read through the wiki's and stuff to just see the main diffs. i did watch a crisis core lets play! and it ripped my heart out ToT. watching sephiroth, angeal, and genesis devolve into a burning car wreck as zack desperately tries to put it out w a fire extinguisher was. painfullll. if ff7 remake seph ends up being from then or advent children i think it could just go v diff directions. now i think alot of the idea of breaking fate/killing destiny goes in hand w the fact that the ideas of puppets/being used or manipulated by smth greater than u is smth that comes up alot w sephiroth and cloud, and like while its v obvious in cloud's case i think i remember a post pointing out that by advent children, sephiroth is just as much a puppet or husk after everything. so its possible in remake it might be exploring him finding a small scrap of self awareness in him left and deciding to. wreck destiny ig?? idk how solid that theory is tho bc then wouldnt he have more of a bone to pick w/ genova?? but he takes her body in ff7 remake instead of destroying it.....yeah it just could go so many places. either way i am sooo curious abt where it will go. even if its a train wreck my brain will just harvest the corpse for brain worms lmao. sorry for the brain vomit! im just v invested in this lolol

The first related game I played was Crisis Core. So I had no idea zack dies by the time of the main game, fought very hard to keep him alive during the end, and bawled my eyes out. Torn up as bad as Cloud about it all ;-; then after, I found out from my friends who HAD played ffvii thst they knew zack died and STILL played crisis core and Still bawled their eyes out when he died. It just hits so hard no matter what, and lol we all still played it anyway knowing it was gonna tear our hearts up. Crisis core is one of my favorite games, zack fair one of my fave characters ahh.

I really do like the original game though. I just chickened out last time I played because it was time to fight sephiorth and I had heard he levels up to your level and I was overleveled due to goofing off so I was scared the fight would be hard and lol quit. It's fun, but it is very much aged if you aren't up for handling old games. (Compared to say ffx which has serviceable remasters like kingdom hearts, or ffix which has a fairly nice remaster and really looked Very Good its only big weak point now is a lack of voice acting).

Yeah. Sephiroth being a husk connected to cloud, cloud being a puppet once, both of them tied together and hurt by others. There is so much fascinating angles to explore IF this is a future sephiroth and IF square Enix has the guts to both try and commit to whatever they choose to explore
