thinking about mhok essentially introducing day to his sister. the car IS his sister, her love and care and hopes and dreams and efforts. it's her baby and a lot of her time and effort with a glove compartment full of her dream to open her own nail salon that rattles because of her efforts to save up for mhok's tuition and the bandage that is both mhok and rung's love - not just for the car but just the way they show love and affection and care. and the moment day asks why mhok took this job mhok lets him in. as much as he can without talking about what happened to rung anyway. but he lets day in enough that he's not just introducing him to the car but he's talking about coming here to meet the car in front of him and telling him that he's complaining to his sister's car because that's just who he is and he's completely open and comfortable about who he is with day
