hot take: i fucking hate pranks and i think they’re actually very harmful
#so many pranks are just complete disregard for ppls personal space#and so many more are just potential triggers for dissociation or derealisation#but whenever i say ‘this could be harmful or triggering to a neurodivergent person/someone w sensory issues/etc’#i ALWAYS get ‘it’s just a prank bro’#yk that kesha door banging prank that was a trend last year#someone did that to me and it triggered a panic attack that i had in the middle of the hallway in front of three strangers#i had to call my brother#and i still have massive anxiety every time i hear ppl in the hallway outside my apartment#(i live in a different place now bc i hated living there last year)#as in like#pausing what i’m watching or listening to and listening carefully to whoever’s in the hall#as in my heart beating rly fast and my breathing getting unsteady#obviously there are harmless pranks that you can do on friends but i despise so many pranks i see on tik tok and the like#but to (neurotypical) ppl i’m Overreacting
