the only downside of SWTOR’s new trade-tax is that I can no longer afford my boyfriend’s shopping sprees. I love him, but dude has some expensive tastes and he doesn’t exactly credit farm. He also will only buy the item from a set that he wants. Which is why he has like 3 of the same ridiculously expensive chest pieces all bound to his account instead of unlocking the full outfit in collections and redeeming it whenever he wants to.
So last night he decided to ask me for crafting tips so he can sell stuff and get back to over a billion creds, instead of him just crafting outfits and stims for his personal use.
Y’all. I have a linked 8+ pages spreadsheet on the cost of to make just about everything in-game. from the average price-per-item based on the crew skill missions, to dye mods, stims, augments, etc...
He doesn’t like the character hopping aspect. He’d rather buy materials off the GTN than hop onto another character, send the comps on crew skill missions, and repeat until he can craft whatever it is. I had to break out that spreadsheet and show him that it would not be a good idea to do that. since. you know. the economy is inflated like the Goodyear Blimp. Cheaper to spend 30 minutes watching TV and logging in and out to do crew missions and run heroics to pay for the missions.
And then i had to look him in the eye and tell him most of my fortune is from dye mods and augment kits built up over years of doing this.
I’m prepared to be entertained for the next couple days as he figures this out.
#he also wanted to buy a hypercrate to sell and like honey no#yes that'll get you funds but you need a source of income in the game thats not running a handful of heroics and 1 operation a week#this is all b/c he's replaying the SW and Inquis stories and wants his new characters to look cool#which im down for#swtor#star wars: the old republic#bae goals#later tonight I’m dragging him on my credit farming run of heroics#which I know don’t give a lot of credits but they pay for the crew skill missions#and I can get a million under an hour if I’m on a stealth character

God. The Separate Ways trailer. I am barely able to contain my excitement but lemme try saying words now
In the original SW, we know she was present during certain parts of Leon's story, but being able to see THIS
and know that she really WAS there during the village fight scene, even in the remake, that she's hiding somewhere unseen, is such an incredible feeling. I'm gonna be replaying the game waiting for Separate Ways to release and thinking about Ada watching over me the whole time.
Queen of the world. God I love her so much.
Ada action shots that I will absolutely stare at for hours and also gif later so I can just watch it over and over again
AND SHE WAS THERE!!!!!!! SHE WAS THERE!!!!!!!! SHE WAS WATCHING OVER THEM THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!! THEIR GUARDIAN ANGEL!!!!!!!!!! AND LEON STILL HAS THE AUDACITY TO ACT LIKE SHE DOESN'T CARE!!!!!!!! MOTHERFUCKER SHE CARES SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
Really really annoying that Wesker calls Luis "lewis". But I guess it's in character for him to be a fucking wanker and not care about pronouncing people's names correctly.
speaking of Luis
I'm actually combusting rn. The two loves of my life in the same vicinity. Dear God. I am thinking so many things I shan't say aloud (I know we already had a scene with them together but this is MORE)
She's fighting the Regeneradors no sweat.
And finally....
I'm just. I just. Ada got infected too, most likely cause she got too close while helping Leon and Ashley. Luis had to help cure Ada too. I'm tearing the curtains off my windows wailing and screaming. I'm so fucking excited for this I'm gonna explode violently
#Resident Evil#Ada Wong#Separate Ways#resident evil separate ways#re separate ways#Resident evil 4 remake#resident evil 4#re4 remake#re4#re4r#luis serra#leon kennedy#ashley graham

thinkin about Subnautica and the first time I played it... hahaha, I went in almost completely blind (I'd watched a tiny bit of a YTer play it and loads of ppl were saying, if you like the look of this and wanna play it don't spoil yourself, just go do it rn! so I did, lol).
I LOVE the ocean, first off. I don't think I'd ever be capable of diving? But I love the idea of it and it does not scare me in the slightest. I had ZERO idea the game is considered scary by most people. Absolutely NO idea haha. Even when I saw my first Leviathan/Reaper, I was just kinda like, oh yeah of course there's big predators, better steer clear! Nbd, if I die the consequences aren't too bad so eh. Like they definitely jump scared me a few times, but nothing crazy.
But really what sticks out to me in hindsight... this is SO stupid... it took me forEVER to figure out that I needed to scan stuff to get blueprints.
i fucking SWAM ALL THE WAY TO THE FIRST ISLAND. Or the first island I went to, the north/northwest one. I didn't even question it. I was like, oh yeah it's an exploration they want you take your time. I thought I was being a jerk, skipping all the way to the first big new thing "so quickly". About three quarters of the way back to the pod I was like "Okay, I feel like I've progressed more story, let's check in on that YTer and see what they're doing" to see him riding around with the seaglider!! I was like WTF!!!!
My mistake was SO dumb it was hard to even find like, an explanation of what I was doing wrong. Like, everything I googled said how to find the scannable items, not that you even HAD to scan them or with WHAT. Like telling someone how to make sauce and they don't know how to turn on the stovetop. SO SO silly.
Anyways. What a game.
ALSO. wait sorry this is so long
I NEVER FOUND A SECOND BEACON TO SCAN.
Let me run that by you again. I played the ENTIRE game without beacons. I could probably actually navigate almost the entire map without thinking much irl at this point. I just had to like... use "land" marks and be patient. I had to know where I was at on the map (which I finally started looking up to be able to find the paths to the lower chambers way later in the game) (but before then I just used the Aurora, the cloud glitches around the island and my brain) and triangulate my fucking position like a sailor and be like, okay if I'm here and wanna go here I gotta head in a SWS direction" hahaha.
Anyways. Wonderful game. One of the few games I sincerely wish I could erase my memory of and play blind again. I'm usually not the type to wish that, I'm love replaying stuff. But this was so so special on that first run.
#subnautica#it was SO shocking finally looking up the reddit and finding out ppl find this game terrifying#i feel so dumb cuz of COURSE people think it's scary i mean I get it once it was said to me#but going in and the ENTIRE time I played I just have zero fear haha like at no point was I...#idk... scared of my surroundings#even the certain leviathan down below in the hot hot area? I grappled onto him and road him around the area hahaha#I have a screenshot somewhere#but you know what I mean? Like I love the water I'm so ready to die in the water let's go#and I was playing with the cinematic lighting? So it was super dark hahaha and I didn't even KNOW I had done that#or I never questioned it after I set it when I started#and again I was watching the YTer play and he changed the lighting from cinematic to whatever else and I was like WOAH#you can see SO MUCH MORE hahaha that's so convenient#I did change the lighting when I was in the lower areas cuz I would get stuck on the ceilings tarzan-ing around

Sith Warrior vs Sith Emperor
I'm now replaying Sith Warrior story and I finished Ziost today, which made me once again realize that SW storyline is probably the most important one in regard to the Sith Emperor. SWTOR's canon is Jedi Knight, but tbf Sith Warrior has stronger claim to that canon than the Jedi. Simply because as Emperor's Wrath they are closer to the Sith Emperor than everybody else, even Jedi Knight who tried to kill him. Still, Jedi Knight successfully took down the Voice, and both Kira and Scourge are directly related to the Emperor, so let's say that probably the best outcomes would be if Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior joined forces to take down the Emperor. Jedi Consular is also somewhat related, but mostly due to getting into contact with the Children of the Emperor, while Sith Inquisitor seems to be unrelated at all, but thanks to being Kallig's descendant and the Force Walker they have the best understanding of the situation in KOTFE and KOTET if they are the ones having him in their heads. JC and SW never had similar experience, and JK was possessed by him before, but for better or for worse completely blacked out, thanks to what we have no idea what Emperor did using JK's body (btw will we ever learn what, or nah?).
I seriously enjoyed myself so much when I played as Wrath this time. I did play this storyline 4 times already and only now I feel like I got the whole picture. I for example forgot that Darth Vowrawn's whole ploy on Rishi was related to the bigger narrative, because he wanted Wrath to be aware that he is being monitored by the Emperor's Hand. I don't know why, but it completely slipped my mind, but now when I analyzed it, it made so much sense then for Wrath to be like "nuh uh, master I'm not going to help you kill the galaxy", especially after they already once had to oppose the person they served. Wrath is in the best position as they already were taught a lesson once in the past before with Baras trying to kill them even if they were the best and most loyal apprentice ever (Baras trying to kill SW made a bit more sense to me when I played as my female SW who was saving people left and right instead of actually killing or removing people Baras told her to, while my male SW was just obedient little Sith who only did save people when it was not specifically stated that they need to be killed, he was playing the loophole game but always followed orders, so when Baras decided to kill him, he was so offended, because he was doing exactly what his master wanted and for what? Betrayal? He was not a lapdog, but he was loyal, so it was like a slap to him).
I don't know, it just fits that Wrath would learn from Baras to not follow the people they serve without question and just disobeyed the Emperor at the last straight road to his resurrection. And even if they were more unhinged, it just makes sense to preserve themselves.
(BTW taking Quinn to Ziost was the best choice I've made. His face when Ziost was killed by the Emperor was just "and we served that monster all this time?". Seriously, the best wake-up call material).
Also, it's kind of funny that if you play as SW Force is like "Hey, Wrath here is a vision of the end of life in the galaxy, I hope you will come to understand what it means and do exactly what we want you to do".

hytham x vili for the ship ask 🥰
bestie they way this ship grabbed me by the throat in the last like?? week or two??? i literally can't stop thinking about them (alongside the other ac and sw bullshit in there lmao) i am so deeply excited to replay the jorvik and snotinghamscire arcs with this new hyperfixation lens what made you ship it? hytham my most beloved character and wanting him to be happy which quickly turned into wanting to put him through hell
what are your favorite things about the ship? listen hyvili is peak Tragic Torn Apart by Duty romance, as well as vili being a perfect parallel to wanting to fill the shoes of a great father and my belief that him being jarl is the best version of his story and it adds so much to being Torn Apart by Duty. as well as hytham being more reserved and vili being more playful and being seemingly opposites to them having quite a lot in common, such as a love for their people, a devotion to their fathers’ legacies and wanting to please them (which hytham sinks further into while vili runs away from it) and growing into leaders
is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? they belong to me sorry to the rest of y’all

I wrote the below in response to someone who plays warframe asking where to start with dynasty warriors and what's good about the games from someone seeking to get into them.
I am copy-pasting in case this is useful information here, on tumblr. Sorry if formatting is imperfect.
Hello. I've been playing koei games since Kessen on the PS2 launch, still own twenty PS2 koei game discs and know the most about these games of anyone I know personally. If you're interested in warriors style gameplay and don't care about story or it being DW specifically: age of calamity is the current peak. If you must play dynasty warriors specifically, no offshoots or alternative series: dynasty warriors 5 is peak, every game after that has increasingly worse music and simpler gameplay. For the feeling of "I am one guy in an army and this is dangerous if I don't fight alongside my allies", dynasty warriors 3 is peak. For "what about samurai warriors?" I recommend the original if you can emulate it, and Spirit of Sanada is the best SW game period and is available on modern hardware. Once you've played a lot, if you like them, emulate warriors orochi 1 and 2 and play the stories once each and then get 3. Do NOT get WO4, it's a complete failure of the genre. The newest samurai warriors is Not Bad but I don't recommend it at its high price, whereas I do recommend spirit of Sanada even now. The peak of the subgenre though is fire emblem: three hopes. Best writing, top end gameplay for the genre. Superior to the game it's a spinoff of. Good luck on your adventures!
Continued below the readmore:
I got so excited discussing the game recommendations I forgot to answer the first part of your question. Dynasty Warriors is extremely beginner friendly as a series and there's basically no game you can't jump in at (aside from "this game isn't well-made/fun I don't recommend it".) As a series it's huge, but very few of the games require playing any other of the games. After Dynasty Warriors 4, the series started to take a slow shift towards ease-of-use, and battles started caring much more about KO count. These games are roughly split into 3 "eras", unofficially (this is how I organize them as someone who has paid rapt attention to this series since DW2, this is not official in any capacity) : the first era is DW2 (DW1 is an arcade fighter and does not really count) until DW5, the second era is DW6 until DW8, and the third era is Everything After That Until Now. Each of these eras have different appeals.
First era, the games are conceptually about being a soldier on a battlefield and how dangerous it is. It's about overcoming significant challenge to see through victory on these grand epic scale battles where enemies are a genuine, real threat to you. Kill counts largely end up being fairly muted if you're playing the game normally - you have to try really, really hard to break 1k KOs in this era, outside of a handful of highly specific missions. Also the corny english voice acting is tons of fun, fight me. The first era includes, among the parallel series', Samurai Warriors 1, and... nothing else. It wasn't very long in the grand scheme. The big appeal here is in being part of these epic-scale battles, which, admittedly, won't be nearly as visually impressive this long since their release. But they do mechanically feel a bit like they did then, still - the push and pull of large fronts of an army, rather than you flinging yourself at the whole thing like, well, Warframe.
The second era of T-K starts with DW5 adding in a bunch of crazy stuff to the game. Every single character has their own story mode campaign now, it's not just per-faction, and the list of characters is enormous. There is tons of hidden stuff, and stat farming starts to become something you might actually do, as is farming weapon upgrades etc. Before DW5, there was basically no reason to replay stuff overandover unless you genuinely just wanted to to enjoy it. DW5 really started to go heavy on all these upgrades and stuff. Second era cares a LOT about unlocks - costumes, characters, weapons, upgrades, secret missions/maps, hidden objectives, optional fights, variations in how battles can go, these were the cream of the crop for this era.
Samurai Warriors 2, around this same time, ditches the darker and more ominous tone of the original and exchanges it for a much more lighthearted game that's more like what modern anime anything would depict sengoku japan as. Gameplay-wise it's okay. I didn't get to own a copy of it back in the day and only found it for rental once, but I didn't hate it, it just wasn't as good as the first IMO because what made SW1 so different (ninja-unique mechanics, create-a-character with a really cool subgame wrapped around it) all got discarded for SW2.
Second-era starts to really blossom gameplay-wise around the release of Warriors Orochi 1, and hits its absolute peak at Warriors Orochi 3. 160 characters that largely play differently and have tons and tons of neat story things going on. I recommend playing any of DW 4-6 and then playing any of SW 1-2 then playing WO 1 and 2 (enough to complete them and get the story) then jump into WO3 Ultimate and /really/ play the shit out of that game. I've replayed WO3U five different times over the years, and with a friend having bought it for me on Steam I'm playing it /yet again!/
Concurrent with this, as well, were the first Dynasty Warriors: Gundam (a game that is good! DO NOT PLAY THE SEQUELS.), the first Fist of the North Star warriors game (a game that was ALSO good! DO NOT PLAY THE SEQUELS.) and a few other things that aren't really relevant here but are fun to note (kessen 3 my beloved... RIP to that series) Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate is the final game of the second era, and the pinnacle of it gameplay-wise. Its writing is even pretty alright, with some great peaks if you played the other games and thusly care who these characters are. The pinnacle of writing in the series with only one fairly-recent exception, and ALMOST as good for gameplay, is Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada. That game adds a whole lot that's great and tells its story phenomenally but I do think it suffers a bit from its focus being as narrow as it is. Still, highly recommend it - and, bonus points, you don't have to play other games in the series to enjoy it (unlike WO3).
The third era started extremely rocky. Dynasty Warriors 7 is very bad - lots and lots of paid DLC that's massively overpriced and under-providing, gameplay mechanics being flattened, character writing being squelched and flanderized to where every single character is a catchphrase (the older games are very tropey but there is some measure of nuance that just is not present in main-series games after DW6). Weapon diversity is largely eschewed, so there's less gameplay variety and less fun things to find and a lot of the redesigns are Not Good. This era really included a lot of restructuring and revisions of the writing, as well. Pretty much none of them were good. Production rates got cranked into overdrive, Omega Force was wildly overworked and games got churned out at a horrendous rate. Quality, predictably, suffered greatly. This, incidentally, is why DW7 (and anything released since) is bad, SW3 is bad, Warriors Orochi 4 is HORRENDOUSLY bad, and there are sequels to DW Gundam and FOTNS that SUCK.
However! This is also when crossovers started happening, and some of those games are amazing. I have not played the One Piece games and don't have input on them, but Hyrule Warriors is GREAT (the switch version especially), Fire Emblem Warriors is Pretty Good, HW: Age of Calamity is INCREDIBLY good and Fire Emblem: Three Hopes is probably the pinnacle of the genre as released by Omega-Force. They are good because their gameplay is excellent, the variety between characters is tons of fun, the inclusion of minibosses and outright bosses expands on what Spirit of Sanada was doing extremely well, and the game-unique mechanics are all fabulously well-done. They are genuine, 'true' action games now, at the cost of somewhat reduced movesets. Fire Emblem Warriors mashed the movesets down to having several 'clone' characters (which sucks, for the record, but the movesets are largely good, at least) and Three Hopes has a far larger cast that also does the "the class is the moveset, not the character" thing, but they do it well because instead of everyone having a move or two nobody else does, there are a handful of character-specific classes that rule and otherwise characters have unique to them /mechanics/.
Persona 5 Strikers is probably good but I still haven't finished P5 and don't want to start it until I have. Everyone I know who's played it says it's great, and I believe them.
Final note: In a way, we're kind of in the dawn of a new, fourth era right now: it's been ages since a new Dynasty Warriors was released (perhaps they're giving the next one enough time to cook? since 2018? DW9 is TERRIBLE by the way DO NOT get it) and Samurai Warriors 4 was a giant 'reboot' of things. Gameplay wise, SW4 is pretty great. I have beef with a lot of the writing decisions and character revisions, but the aesthetic and gameplay are quite good. The biggest downside of modern day warriors games is the grind - the only one to get it right is Hyrule Warriors on Switch, where the grind is in service of bigger, better, cooler rewards and there's always a feeling that you're getting something for what you're putting in. Age of Calamity's biggest weakness is that the mission you do to get the best weapons in the game is the only mission challenging enough to warrant having them.
Glad to hear you're interested in the series. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

need help with a fic thing ‼️
planning on doing a sw/sh fic thats kind of like the game's story but with some ships n stuff (and possibly a love triangle??) Im pretty well versed in the game, as ive played it a number of times so i know the general plot of everything.
but today i was thinking about it and wondered if i should replay it while writing it because while i know general plot events & stuff it might be nice to have the finer details/ refresher on stuff ive forgot but on the otherhand it would probably take longer and would take more effort (my mortal enemy)
i could also watch a playthrough of someone else playing it & while i wouldnt have direct control id still be able to get some details without too much of the trouble.
And there is of course, my original plan, of going based off of memory/ without references and now that i say that out loud it does not sound like a good idea, but i HAVE played these games A LOT so could be fine.
so thats what i need help with deciding!! because my squirrel brain (which is currently sick too) cannot decide what option to go with
here's da poll:
#pokemon#pokemon swsh#sword and shield#swsh fic#pokemon fic#fic poll#poll#fanfic#from memory or nah??#if any part of this host isnt coherent it's because its 3am and im also like hella sick with a cold so excuse that#ill be back to check on this post in the morning to see if this makes any sense at all whenver its not 3am & im eepy

Thoughts about the current pokemon mainline games or whatever:
As much as I still like pokemon, I'm finding myself less and less interested in the mainline games. Sword and Shield was... flawed but I still wanted to replay it (and I did!). Scarlet and Violet on the other hand...
I did like that it was pretty innovative and did a lot of things differently (even its story). But after playing it near-obsessively for a month or so to get through the main story I. Haven't had the motivation to touch the game again since. Maybe I'm finally getting too old (lol) but it's really the fact that I have a lot less free time on my hands I don't necessarily need an open-world, 60+ hour game. I don't even know if I can be bothered to get the DLC at this point, since it's a little more expensive than the Sw/Sh DLC was too.

i can’t go on living as i am
(Credit for the word ‘badzuriqash’ goes to @fluffynexu and her sith wildlife post)
Taking the lift up to the fiftieth floor, Nan stepped into Lord Kris’ Dromund Kaas apartment for the first time. Having lived in her benefactor’s Korriban estate for ten years before being sent to the Academy, the decor was intimately familiar- ancient artefacts, Sith Pureblood art and sculpture, cultural and religious relics in between the many books on every shelf. The walls painted red, soft yellow light just bright enough to read by.
The motion detector took in her presence, and an opera’s overture began to play from the wall speakers at an unobtrusive volume. Nan noted somewhere in the back of her mind that it was a newer rendition of Grothalde en Annasti, probably under heavy revision. Ducking her head, she kept her horns from knocking into a chandelier to find herself in the sitting room. She was intensely conscious of where she put her hands, her feet, her horns; the same clutter of expensive things in the Korriban estate had been hell as a bullish apprentice, neither graceful nor used to small spaces. This residence was even more cramped.
“Master.” She bowed to the Sith Pureblood woman resting in a chair opposite the door.
“Ah-” Anzhel Kris stood, not even coming up to Nan’s shoulders. Her facial tendrils curled in comfort and pleasure. She grinned, creasing the smile lines around her mouth that betrayed her age to be in her hundred-teens. “My dear girl. You’re here.”
Unsure of herself, Nan bowed again. A nervous pride bloomed in her breast. She was. She’d made it- she was apprenticed to a Darth, stationed on Dromund Kaas, soon to be discharged to the wider galaxy.
She had proved Lord Kris right.
Putting her hands on Nan’s broad shoulders- reaching up to do so- Lord Kris looked at her with awe. “You really have done magnificently. Come all this way- I can’t believe your progress. And to think of what a mess you were just a few short years ago!”
“Thank you, my Master,” Nan murmured, averting her eyes. Praise from Lord Kris always made her feel stupid and wary, wondering what was coming next. “It was your training.”
Lord Kris reached up, tapping her cheek with two red, black-clawed fingers. “None of that, now. You have another Master. A real, true Sith Master who’s going to make you a Lord one of these days.”
Her gaze still roving over the artefacts all along the shelves- was that a replica of Darth Marsere’s funereal statue?- Nan lifted her head with slight pride. A Lord. She would be. She’d worked so hard.
“Come now,” Lord Kris drew back, straightening her robes. “We’ll take tea in the solarium, listen to the rain. How have you found Dromund Kaas?”
Turned left at Telos, Nan thought but didn’t say. Apparently that mouthy little Twi’lek was rubbing off on her. “The rain is lovely. After so long on Korriban...”
She kept a mind to her pronunciation; with Vette, Lord Kris’ carefully-cultivated Kaasi accent had begun to slip, letting her native Dathomirian drawl creep back into her words. She was lucky her home language’s drawled vowels and dropped consonants mimicked a Ziost accent. At least she sounded vaguely normal.
“Oh, I have to wash the moment I get off that horrid planet.” Lord Kris reassured her. “I’m on my way to another dig just tomorrow, they’ve unearthed the tomb of one of Terrak Morrhage’s lovers-”
“One of,” Nan commented, her voice dry. “How many does this make? Fourteen?” A pang of anxiety struck her low in the gut at her own observation.
Lord Kris tossed her head back, her laugh nobly cultivated to be bell-like and charming. “The man really couldn’t keep it to himself, could he? And if he’d been half as good at subterfuge as he was at genetic engineering, his wife might not have killed them all. We think this one was poisoned.”
“Unusually subtle.” Entering the solarium, Nan ducked her head under the doorway so as not to bump her horns. It was a nice room- not as cluttered, the lights blue-tinted, the rain making soft noises against the enormous windows. There was a table between the two seats, set with dishes.
At the counter stood a slave, a blank-eyed and unhealthily pale Human girl. Her hands were busy with tea and biscuits and small sandwiches.
“It is, isn’t it? My hypothesis is that he was higher-ranking than some of the other little conquests, so she had to be a bit less blatant. We’ve found carvings around the doorway-”
Lord Kris kept up her talk about her new discovery as Nan went to the counter. Without speaking, she dismissed the slave and took over preparing Her Lordship’s tea, her hands falling into the familiar motion of measuring the leaves and the water.
“And he might be descended from the Mherinel line, which we should be able to prove with a scan of the remains- of course that’s assuming we get so far into the tomb, with all the traps undisturbed it should be quite the adventure- where is my tea, you tiresome girl?” She asked, her voice ringing with mirth in a way that Nan associated with days full of bustle and cheer.
“Here, M-” Nan swallowed back the familiar title. “My lord.”
“That’s a good girl. What are my other forms of address?” She picked and quizzed, as usual, tucking her slippered feet up under her on the lounge sofa.
Nan thought for just a moment, balancing the teapot and the sweetsand biscuits on the tray. “Countess. Your Lordship. My Lord Countess, in a letter.” Nan listed, timing each word with a step so as not to spill the tea. “Your familial title- Right Honorable Lord Kris, Countess Kris of her associated estates, Professor Kris...”
“Now you’re just showing off,” Lord Kris said merrily. “Well done, well done. Now sit.” She waved her hand at the seat across, and Nan set the tray down with great trepidation before taking her place where indicated.
They took tea with careful bites and pointed conversation, discussing Lord Kris’ new assigned unit with Reclamations, her great regret that her favorite researcher, Drellik, had been poached off to study something in an icy wasteland instead of Korriban’s deserts.
Nan made her laugh twice. She counted each as a personal victory, dearer to her than any battlefield conquest.
The tea and conversation both nearly exhausted, Nan set her cup down. “Have you gotten your proposed genetics paper off the ground yet?”
Lord Kris sat back, crossing her legs. “Oh, I can’t get anyone to touch it. Can you imagine, any Sith worth their title daring to attach their name to a hypothesis that ancient Sith Pureblood willingly bred with savages, thus making planet-bound Dathomirian natives the last true bastion of un-muddled Sith blood? The Dark Council would be out for my guts. I’d disappear, and any who dared stand with me would go too... But I know. I’ll always know.” Moving fluidly, she pushed herself up until she was standing.
On reflex, Nan mirrored her and got to her feet, feeling the tension in the air rise until it crackled.
Almost floating around the table, her face serene, Lord Kris reached up to touch her cheek. “That’s why I found you, and why you’ve come so far. All these things-” She gestured, and Nan knew what she spoke of. She’d heard the lectures for years. Their similar hunting adaptations, strong limbs, carnivorous diet, claws and teeth. Nan, evolutionarily designed to pursue rancors on the plains and steppes of Dathomir; Anzhel equally equipped for a long life tracking badzuriqash from oasis to oasis on Korriban. “All these things that make us the same, that make us strong. This is why I pulled you out of the gutter.” Her long, sharpened claws nicked Nan’s jawbone.
Nan sucked in a breath. Held it. Something boiled inside her, something that brewed hotter at every moment she spent in her patron- her owner- her mentor’s presence. The alarm bell went off in her head that she was in danger.
Some echo of the mouthy Twi’lek girl in her head said, why not?
“No,” Nan contradicted in a slow and dreamy voice, some part of herself horrified by what she was tempting down onto her head. “You’re wrong. I pulled myself out of the gutter.”
Lord Kris’ eyes held hers, hypnotic with their bright gold irises and deep red sclera. Her pupils were pinpricks despite the low light.
Her Lordship, Countess of Her Associated Estates, Professor Anzhel Kris slapped her ward across the face. Compared to other strikes she had delivered, it was an almost gentle motion. Nan turned her head to the side, moving with the blow, but it still raked her lip across her teeth.
The shock of it was worse than the taste of blood. Nan bowed her head, shaking.
“Oh, well said, my girl!” She whispered around an enormous smile, trembling with laughter and rage. She reached up to touch Nan’s chin, making her jerk with the expectation of lightning.
Bright eyes filled Nan’s vision, dazzling her, making her blink- and then Lord Kris, Countess of her Associated Estates, was gone in a swirl of robes, heading for the doorway on quick and silent steps. “Well said. Do give Baras my regards- I believe he has some business for you in the Temple.”

Sith Inquisitor - Story replay - 6/?
Forgot to take screenshots on Tatooine. Seems like I have a memory like a gizka, too (something Andronikos potentially says to your SI). I love Andronikos. He's just the right amount of crazy for the SI crew. The Tatooine story itself is not my favorite, however (compared to other planets).
#swtor#SI story replay#sith inquisitor#tatooine#var'lock#andronikos revel#dont get me wrong I love the planet itself#but it's one of the weaker planets for SI imo#SW has the best Tatooine story#look a pale ass SI with black robes in the desert#how he must hate it :P

Hmmmm, time to speed-run Tatooine with Saarai today I think. I wanna...get her to SoR sometime in the next month or so. I need wife content ushsugdydg
I do like the planet story quests but I think I’m gonna skip some of the ones that weren’t super important or that I didn’t enjoy as much....like Nar Shaddaa, Tatooine, Taris etc. in favour of...getting to the Lana content sooner
I have a Saarai clone that I had to make because I flubbed recording that one scene on Dromund Kaas because I was big dumb (tm) and pushed the wrong dang button (duh d’ooyyyy), so I think I’ll use her for 3rd Warrior!playthrough at a more...leisurely pace. And also for the Koth romance instead. Because I know you can go back and replay KOTFE/ET again, so technically I could have her do both. But I always romance Lana in the endgame content with like...nearly all my toons. And I think it’d be nice to have one run where I do someone else’s as the “canon” for a change.
I still need to figure out someone who might fit with Theron. At least to do his romance once so I can experience it. But idk who yet. I haven’t found anyone from my toons that might...work, with him. :/ Maybe Myla if I ever finish the Agent class story. We’ll see
#swtor#star wars: the old republic#elven plays swtor#elven babbling about dumb things#ik i could have just fast tracked her to kotfeet#but uh...SW storyline is my ultimate fav and i haven't replayed it in like 3 yrs i wanted to have#the full experience#so instead i'm just skipping over/not doing the planet story quests that i don't think are ''vital'' in supplementing the SW storyline#or that just plain dragged/i did not enjoy#like nar shaddaa taris and...VOSS#the voss planet quests DRAGGED ON for soooo long like ugh#i was like ''get me off this fucking planet PLEASE'' by the middle of the questline#nevermind the end LMAO#but anyway i'm impatient for lana content#so i'm gonna try and get her through the rest of the storyline as quick as possible while still enjoying it

Why I like Quinn
To say Quinn is divisive would probably be putting it lightly. From my experience, an SWTOR player will either really like him or really hate him. I rarely see an in-between.
Now, I can't tell you what you should and should not like. I understand why people don't like him, but I do wanna explain why I personally do.
First, let's talk about the Quinncident. Yes, I understand people have big issues with betrayal, myself included, but let's look at this from Quinn's perspective: the man is a normal, non-force wielding fellow who's caught in a power play between two Sith Lords. If he picks the wrong side, he's most likely going to be tortured, executed, or at best, imprisoned for life. So yeah, I can see why he'd pick the (initally) stronger Sith Lord. And it was Darth Baras who promoted Quinn and really got him off of that shithole Balmorra, even if he was traveling with you more often. Second, his attitude. I've seen people accuse Quinn of being a generic Imperial asshole. Upon replaying the SW story, he does seem to have a bias against non-Imperials and civilians, but compared to 80% of Sith and Imp NPCs in this game? He's pretty calm and respectful about it. At worst, I've only seen him vocalize his concerns once before going along with it. He's also fairly pragmatic, not letting his own biases impede his desire to get the job done, no matter the cost. Doesn't seem like much at first, but compared to the rest of the Empire, it's a breath of fresh air. Also, I heard someone said Quinn's 'life sucks and he uses that as an excuse to be a dick to everybody else' ...where did you get that from? I mean, yeah, I have no doubt he's a bit bitter about Moff Broysc, who's batshit insane, but he's never let that affect how he acts towards other people. And he certainly doesn't whine about it or use it as an excuse. But anyways, that's just my two cents. Feel free to share your own opinions.

For your spooktacular, I've been thinking about werewolf din. But not typical werewolf au. He actually wants to stop shifting, so he seeks out help. Reader is a witch who tries to help him control his "urges".
Definitely smut with some fluff.
Spooktacular Day 8: Training
pairing: werewolf!din x f!reader
rating: E (no explicit sex scene but too explicit to not have any warnings, werewolf!din, witch!reader)
a/n: thought this request was amazing but didn’t want it to be too long so i will be writing a part two later on in my spooktacular with all the smut/fluff!
Spooktacular Masterlist
“I know it’s hard, but you’re doing so well.”
Din replayed your words over and over in his head as he sat there, the full moon high in the sky above the two of you. Every nerve in his body felt like it was burning, the need to shift overwhelming but kept at bay by your magic.
“F-feels like…I’m losing control,” he warned through gritted teeth, his body tense and writhing on the floor of the woods.
“Hm,” you approached him carefully, his hand lifting to tell you to stop. “I’ve heard tales of your condition. Magic can only do so much…”
“What are you—“ Din watched as you straddled his lap, undoing his belt and unzipping him. “Not safe—I’m not s-safe.”
“You just need to learn to control it,” you assured, pumping his cock and trying not to let how impressed you were by his size show.
“What if I hurt you?” Din asked the question sincerely but you couldn’t help but chuckle. You weren’t weak, in fact you were the strongest witch in your coven.
“What if I hurt you?” You challenged with a grin, Din gulping at the look in your eyes. “If you can learn to hold it, learn to fight the urge under a moon like this…you will be able to finally control your shifting.”
“A-and if I can’t?” You chuckled, thumb collecting the pre-cum that dribbled from his thick head, lifting it to your mouth and earning a shudder from Din.
“Then we’ll have one hell of a story, won’t we?”

Disclaimer: the story presented in this work does not represent Stray Kids in any way; anything described in this story and all actions performed by the characters are purely fictional, this was created just for good fun.
As he stirred awake, Chan figured that the restful sleep he’d gotten the night before yesterday was the fluke in his routine. The sky outside his window was still mostly dark, there was only a sliver of light peeking through the horizon. He groaned, turning to lay on his back, training his eyes on the ceiling.
Staring at the intricate patterns above his head, and completely against his will, Chan’s brain decided to replay a specific moment from last night, a memory that was still very fresh, almost haunting him.
He’d called Dev after Wang Eun left, deciding that indulging in conversation with his friends might get his mood up. He shouldn’t have been surprised, really, but the conversation took an unexpected turn.
✰
Chan, have you spoken with Her Majesty? She’s not called today…
Dev’s voice rang in his mind, sounding incredibly worried.
“Yeah. I spoke with her around twenty minutes ago. She’s still quite shaken up, it seems”.
Shaken up from what?
“Uh… Oh, yeah… If she hasn’t called it makes sense you don’t know”, Chan felt slightly awkward being the one to relay the news, but he pushed forward, being mindful of his promise to the Queen. “The High King’s back, and he… he was badly injured. The whole castle is talking about it. I don’t think he’s woken up yet, but he is stable, last I heard”.
Shit… She must be so worried if she saw him like that.
Chan felt an odd twinge in his heart at Dev’s words… He decided to ignore the feeling completely. “Yeah… She looked like it”.
Thank you for the update. I’ll leave you to talk with your friends…
✰
Chan shook his head, trying to snap out of it. Being honest with himself, he reasoned this heavy feeling in his chest was guilt.
The High King had had one foot in the afterlife, and here Chan was, making reckless advances on the Queen.
The Queen who–against anything he ever knew about royalty–had taken mercy on them, fed them, gave them shelter, got them a team to fix their wrecked ship, with only a request that seemed to pale in comparison to what she was doing for them in return… Chan decided then that he needed to be careful. He couldn’t put his mission to provide the intel to the Alliance’s leader, nor his friends, at risk, just because of his careless impulses.
With a defeated sigh, he rolled out of bed. He wanted to be ready before Wang Eun arrived, they were going to train again and Chan really wanted to make the most of it. Languid steps took him to the washroom, the cold water spilling from the showerhead helped immensely to clear the fog in his mind.
By the time Chan heard the knock on his door, he had already gotten himself dry, into a fresh set of clothes, and even gotten a few regular stretches of his own done.
“Any news about His Majesty?” Chan asked Wang Eun after their usual morning greeting.
“He’s still unconscious. That’s what’s being whispered in the corridors anyway”, Wang Eun explained as he set the plates down on the table. “Some people are too extreme, though. Saying he won’t make it and stuff…”
Chan hummed to acknowledge what he’d said. He remained silent for a moment while he watched Wang Eun set the table, until he got the courage to ask, “what do you think?”
“Me? Oh, I think he’s gonna make it. The High King’s a pretty tough lad, so there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll make it”.
“Is he as appreciated as the Queen among the people?” Chan asked, finally sitting down for his meal.
“He is”, Wang Eun smiled then, a genuine smile that made his face light up. “We’re all pretty proud of them both”.
Chan nodded, stuffing his face with food. He’d kind of hoped the High King was an asshole. Admittedly, it was a selfish desire. If His Majesty was an asshole, then he figured he wouldn’t feel as guilty as he did. But alas, he wasn’t really surprised by Wang Eun’s statement. A woman like the Queen having an imbecile for a King would’ve been out of character in his opinion.
Wang Eun seemed to have picked up on Chan’s shift in mood, so he cleared his throat to bring his attention to him before he spoke. “Today we’ll continue with upper body training, yeah? Let’s get that going before we tackle the lower half”.
Chan hummed in agreement, letting out a sound that almost sounded like ‘Sure’ while he was still chewing his food.
“I’ll leave you to it, then”, Wang Eun said simply, turning towards the door. “See you in a bit”.
Chan wasn’t sure if he’d ever get used to training with Wang Eun. He mostly enjoyed it, he’d admit. The act of learning a new skill was genuinely fulfilling in every way.
His brain and his heart appreciated it. His body… not so much. Every step he took reignited the strain in his muscles, his arms specifically were borderline screaming at him whenever he so much as held a towel in his hand. He was determined to push through, though. In his mind, physical tiredness would hopefully lead to a restful sleep.
As he made his way from the training grounds to his chambers, Chan saw a few maids hastily gathering together, speaking in hushed tones, just loud enough for him to catch a short sentence: ‘The High King’s just awoken’.
Surprise crossed his features when he heard the words. Before he could even think about what he was doing, he was already making his way towards the infirmary. Curiosity bubbled in him at the thought of seeing the High King fully conscious, of seeing who this man truly was.
With one last turn, Chan found himself in the corridor prior to the infirmary. He immediately stopped in his tracks as he heard faint voices in the distance.
With little to no sense of self-preservation, he walked towards the corner of the wall, and peeked around it to see the Queen herself standing in front of the infirmary doors, talking with one of the healers.
Chan wasn’t sure as to why he decided to sneak around like this. He knew he had almost free roaming privileges in the castle, Her Majesty had never once implied that he couldn’t be walking around the castle like this–save for that one area she didn’t want him in for some reason. However, there was something he wanted to accomplish with this, he just wasn’t sure exactly what.
The healer bowed to the Queen and went back inside the infirmary. Shortly after, Hoseok stepped out, and the High King followed, holding himself up with a hand on Hoseok’s shoulder.
His Majesty was tall, even when he was holding his chest with his free hand, slouching slightly from the pain, he was as tall as Hoseok. Had he been standing straight, he would clearly be taller than him. He would have definitely towered over the Queen by a full head.
This was totally fine. Chan was totally fine with it. Totally not feeling ugly, negative emotions he dared not name coursing through him at the sight of the tall, muscular, objectively handsome High King.
Because that’d be silly of him, if it were the case.
Standing straighter, Chan listened attentively as the group started conversation right there in front of the infirmary.
“How could you be so stupid, Sol? Have you lost your mind?” The Queen’s tone was low, but slightly harsh, which gave Chan pause. “This was too reckless. What were you thinking?”
The High King chuckled, clearly amused when he answered her. “You know exactly what I was thinking, my dear. I saw a chance and I took it. Clearly, not the wisest choice”.
The Queen looked almost furious when she crossed her arms over her chest. She was about to speak, but Hoseok intervened.
“Cut him some slack, Your Majesty. He’s still injured”.
Her Majesty just huffed in response, and immediately started to walk away from the pair. Hoseok and the High King followed suit, albeit a bit slower due to the King’s slight limp.
“It’s impossible to talk with him, much less negotiate. As soon as he saw me his creatures came running and…” The High King’s voice turned into an unintelligible mumble as the group walked farther down the corridor, too far for Chan to hear.
He pressed his back against the wall, forcing his two brain cells to work as he decided that following them would be way too invasive. The guilt he’d felt this morning seemed to be increasing in size inside of him, not only because of what he’d done last night, but also for eavesdropping just now.
One thing kept ringing in his mind as he stood there, though. The High King must have encountered the Charmer, or at least one of his closest subjects. There was no way he’d been injured by anyone other than them.
Chan remembered the Queen’s words when they first arrived here… The High King had no affiliation with the Rebel Alliance, so why would he need to get close to the despicable man in the first place?
Chan had no reason to doubt Her Majesty’s loyalty to the Alliance. Yet, something didn’t sit quite right with him when he heard the High King speaking about the creature. He truly hoped his distrust was unfounded, that the man was as kind as the Queen, and shared her morals and values.
Shaking his head, he stepped away from the wall. He needed to wash up and get back to his ship. The urge to get that communicator up and running immediately surpassed every other emotion within him.
Sleep didn’t come easy that night. Chan found himself restlessly tossing and turning in his bed for the majority of the evening. His friends in the forest hadn’t answered when he called, the ship’s communicator still wasn’t fixed, and the haunting questions in his head about the High King’s endeavours with the Charmer and his minions kept him fully awake.
Chan groaned as he sat up on the bed, the sheets now tangled on his lower limbs from all the previous movement. The clock on the wall informed him it was almost midnight, the dim light from the night’s sky shone into his room just enough for him to barely make out the numbers on its surface.
With a sigh, he stood up from the bed. Sleep wasn’t going to come to him any time soon, so he decided a stroll around the castle might help calm his worried thoughts. His body moved slowly, and his sluggish steps took him to the washroom. The cool water from the tap he splashed on his face mildly eased some of that fogginess in his head.
Wiping his face with a clean towel, he rummaged through the closet. Wang Eun had given him an assortment of mostly black clothing throughout the past few days, which Chan appreciated immensely. He settled for the most comfortable garments he could find, a loose sleeveless vest with loose-fitting bottoms. Simple, for such an impromptu activity.
Once his boots were secured to his feet, he was out the door.
The corridors were silent. Unlike the eerie silence from yesterday when people weren’t sure what was going to happen to the High King, this silence was calmer, almost soothing. The wind flowing through the big castle windows was the only other sound in the area, accompanied by Chan’s muffled steps on the corridor’s carpet.
He wasn’t sure where to go, so he let his feet take him wherever they felt like taking him, being mindful to not get into the only area he wasn’t supposed to step into. Chan passed through corridors he couldn’t recognise. Statues of giant animals lined the walls, they startled him sometimes when the shadows of the night passed over them.
On one of the corridors, he spotted an archway that seemed to lead towards one of the many courtyards in the castle. He decided on a whim that that would be his destination for the evening, the fresh air was now incredibly tempting as he took languid steps towards the exit.
Stepping out into the courtyard provided him an odd sort of comfort. The sky was clear, and the stars twinkled incessantly in its vast darkness. The twin, waxing crescent moons of Lira Le were undoubtedly the centre of attention, they were like two smiles in the endless evening mantle, almost welcoming Chan into the area.
He took his time walking around the courtyard, trying to reason those anxious thoughts out of his head. Not an easy feat, by any means. Ever since he could remember, he’d been this way, especially after the invasion of his home planet.
There would always be thoughts in his head that never let him fully relax. Sometimes, he called them his ever-present demons, those that made it difficult for him to sleep at night, or that woke him up in the middle of the night… It had only gotten worse with time, especially now that he’d taken on such a stressful task.
He’d not meant to become the leader of his rebel unit. It was something that had happened organically, he was the oldest in his group of segregated misfits and–as Changbin told him often–he was a natural born leader. This, to Chan, was still debatable.
A sigh escaped his lips as he stuffed his hands in his trousers’ pockets. Whenever he thought about it, in retrospect, he became painfully aware that they had all been way too young for this. Too young to fight an endless battle against one of the most powerful tyrants in the galaxy, too young to have experienced such levels of pain and violence.
Even then, though, they all pushed through. They leaned on each other for support as they navigated the world together, as they fought for a better world together. If there was one thing he was grateful for, it was having found his friends.
A dim light in Chan’s peripheral vision caught his attention, as well as the rustling sound coming from the grass. He could hear it in his ears, deep within him, that odd humming sound, almost shaking him to his very core.
He turned to look at the orb of light, and immediately noticed the shape of a person sitting on a bench, as well as a dark shape moving around on the grass.
His feet moved on their own accord, taking him closer to the person on the bench. He already knew who it was, even when it was dark enough to not be able to discern the features of their face from afar properly.
The dark shape on the grass stopped rolling around. Suddenly, it sat up straight for piercing yellow eyes that seemed to twinkle in the darkness of the night to stare back at him. Slowly, the shape trotted in his direction, and Chan got his hand ready to eagerly greet it.
“Hello there, baby girl”, Chan’s voice was almost a whisper when he greeted Freyja. His hand immediately came to rest on the back of her ears, so he could lightly scratch the area.
The feline immediately purred, moving her head around to get as much contact with his hand as possible. Chan’s eyes looked away from the feline in front of him, towards the bench, where he could finally see the relaxed–albeit slightly tired–features on the Queen’s face. She smiled at them, sitting on the bench with her legs folded under her and a sleeping gown hugging her frame.
“Rough night, Your Majesty?” Chan greeted her, just as the movements of his hand on Freyja’s head stopped, and he walked towards the Queen.
Her Majesty chuckled, her gaze following the feline as Freyja returned to her spot on the grass. “It seems like I’m not the only one, huh?”
Chan sat down next to her on the bench with a huff. “Definitely”.
They stayed in silence for a few moments, both of them just looking at Freyja who was chasing something in the grass. It was… oddly comforting, peaceful, to be in the Queen’s presence. But those ugly feelings of guilt were threatening to crawl back up into his airway.
Clearing his throat, Chan decided to speak. “How are you?”
The Queen’s eyes stayed fixed on her panther. One of her hands moved to the other, and she started turning the rings around her fingers. It was a move that Chan had now come to understand as the Queen’s grounding gesture.
“I’m alright. The past few days have been… really long”.
Chan hummed in agreement, he could relate to that feeling. His next question came out of his mouth before he could stop it, when his curiosity finally bubbled over. “How’s… His Majesty?”
The Queen let out a tired sigh, closing her eyes for a moment, before opening them again to reply. “For a moment I thought he…”
She let her thoughts trail off, her eyes now trained on the ground. With a shake of her head she turned back to look at Chan, and spoke to him with the hint of a smile in her words. “He’ll be fine. He’s tough-headed like that”.
Chan, once again, just hummed in response.
He stayed silent for a moment, just enjoying the sound of the critters around them, of Freyja playing around in the grass. Until he finally got the courage to speak again.
“I can imagine that must’ve been really worrying, seeing him wounded in such a way. No one would like to see their husband hurt like that”, Chan’s tone was soft, even to his own ears. He was trying his best to provide some semblance of comfort to her, even when his words stirred something unpleasant within him.
The Queen’s head snapped in his direction, and she blinked a bit. Her eyes darted around his face for a moment before she spoke, sounding beyond confused. “Husband? Whose husband?”
Chan looked at her, blankly. “Uh… Yours?”
Now, he was also confused.
“My…? You think…? Sol’s my brother”, the Queen stated simply, nonchalantly. “My twin brother, actually”.
This was a bizarre turn of events for Chan, something he really didn’t see coming. He’d understood by now that Lira Le was a different culture to his, but he genuinely didn’t have royal incest in his ‘Stranded on a foreign planet’ bingo card. “You… You’re married to your twin brother?”
“What?!” Her Majesty was clearly taken aback by his question. Then, with a violent shake of her head, she snapped back into reality. “Ew! No!”
She laughed. Loudly. Probably too loud for the time it was, she seemed to realise as she brought one hand to her mouth to muffle her laughter, and the other to her eyes so she could wipe the stray tears that were starting to fall. “All this time, you thought I was married? To him?”
Chan could feel the heat creep from his chest, all the way to the back of his neck as embarrassment coursed through him. “Well, I thought… You know, he’s the King! And you’re the Queen! Doesn’t that mean…?”
“No. Things don’t work that way here”, she chuckled. “My brother’s bonded. And he’s also, you know, my brother. Ew”.
She visibly shuddered in disgust at the mere thought of being involved romantically with her brother, which made sense, Chan supposed.
Had he not been right in front of the Queen, he would’ve physically face-palmed himself. It occurred to him then that no one had ever referred to the monarchs of this land as partners in any way, he had just immediately assumed it.
Chan chose to hold onto something else the Queen said, trying to divert the conversation from his idiotic conclusions. “He’s bonded? What’s that mean?”
“Sometimes people are just destined to be together, apparently. When that happens, you bond”, she explained. “Or at least, that’s what they say. Something about matching energies and what-not. I honestly don’t understand it very well, and it’s not very common anyway”.
“Oh”, was the only thing he could reply. This sparked some curiosity in Chan’s brain, and he figured he might inquire further about it later on, but as it was right now, he was even more curious about something else. “Wait, how come you’re both King and Queen if you aren’t married to each other?”
“Ah, well… That’s just… how it is”, the Queen stayed silent for a moment, playing with the rings on her fingers as she pondered. Ultimately, she spoke again, slightly surprising him with the offer.
“Come with me. It’ll be easier if I show you”.
