matsumura

boils his hotdogs using his smoke (guess im saying here that yes, he does make hotdogs as well as buy them)

i've seen it mentioned that matsumura can only raise the temperature of liquid But isn't protected against heat, so he'd likely burn himself

i think it's funny to consider that this is true but i think for things he's really good at (i.e boiling hotdogs) that the heat wouldn't effect him

so basically with practise he's become really good at it but for example when's he's hunting ppl in the hole he does get a few 'oo ouch that stings!' after boiling ppl to death or w/e

has a favourite pot for boiling stuff too

is a competent guy. en probably thought he was a nice dude since matsumura got him a mushroom hotdog (dunno what that entails)

matsumura was at en’s mansion before fujita, brought fujita in with him since he was in en’s good books (after the mushroom hotdog)

i dontttttt really have much of a timeline for before fujita arrived at en’s mansion, guessing he was p down on his luck tho

anyway, back to matsumura:

fujita relied on him in the hole bc, second to his actual magic, matsumura's power is finding hotdog joints and could basically navigate the hole by nearest hotdog stand (closest anyone's come to mapping the hole out n it was all in his head!)

while we know that fujita screams at horror movies/in general tbqh, i think he’d still enjoy horror things, maybe because its the only thing on devil-TV

either way i think he’d really like the typical horror things like zombies n stuff

he makes his own stuff

i’m a big fan of the ‘store bought masks’, matching w matsumura ofc but i think its cute if he made it too

my pitch is that he absolutely made/modifed the funeral shoes tho. they look completely different by the end of the series and take on a more sport-shoe appearance (prominent grip & little pull tab at the back), while when they’re first introduced they’re definitely a formal shoe. so yeah, king modded his funeral wear

bought the i <3 Hole shirt for matsumura as a joke (sad thought, but maybe didnt have time to give it to him :’[ so it was repurposed as an iconic disguise lmao)

good at FPSs [i drew/referenced that here lol] n probably likes video games in general

finds it annoying when ebisu is better than him, those two Would fist fight over mariokart

not a hc, more of an observation but while having the worst fashion sense (i mean best) he's so cosy in daggy longsleeve stuff all the time i think hes just trying to keep warm (reason why hes wearing hat + gloves + cosy socks (until the funeral shoes))

knows a lot about guns (obvs) in a cool way and would talk to matsumura about all the parts :]
